1. With 2oa, we selected defenseman Kazuma Satou (my own player). What are your thoughts on this acquisition?

2. There's speculation that Satou could position swap to center after next season. Should he stay at defense or switch to center, and why?

3. We also added Elisa McMuffin, Spallsy McDavid, Hank Smith, and Dart-For-Moderator in the late 2nd/3rd rounds. What sort of contributions do you hope for from these new prospects?

4. Have you been following the VHL's World Cup at all so far? If you haven't, make a wild guess at which team out of USA, Canada, East Europe, West Europe, Nordic or World will win!

5. How do you feel about prospects demanding to only play for one team in the VHL? Should users be allowed to play where they want in a competitive league?

1. With 2oa, we selected defenseman Kazuma Satou (my own player). What are your thoughts on this acquisition?

Trading up to only 2nd overall shows how humble the general manager is, but will that add extra pressure on Satou? Time will tell how they develop.

 

2. There's speculation that Satou could position swap to center after next season. Should he stay at defense or switch to center, and why?

Whatever they decide I think they should start working on faceoffs now already, about time defenders add new tools to their skillset.

 

3. We also added Elisa McMuffin, Spallsy McDavid, Hank Smith, and Dart-For-Moderator in the late 2nd/3rd rounds. What sort of contributions do you hope for from these new prospects?

Solid group of prospects! If and hopefully when everybody keep on steadily improving I think they could all make their way to Moscow one day!

 

4. Have you been following the VHL's World Cup at all so far? If you haven't, make a wild guess at which team out of USA, Canada, East Europe, West Europe, Nordic or World will win! I have checked the sims and followed Nordics the most as I got selected to represent the team, I think we will win it!

 

5. How do you feel about prospects demanding to only play for one team in the VHL? Should users be allowed to play where they want in a competitive league? They can do that if they wish, but I think other GMs should also take note of that and draft those players to get some nice pieces in return. Assuming the team is seriously interested in the player also.

 

6. How're you spending your time now in the offseason without sims? Doing anything fun before the holidays

I will drink heavily and use the training camp to sober up.

1. It’s a safe and valuable pick. Imagine getting a player you know will fully earn. Guaranteed.

It really depends on the year. Can't plan around that.

It's tough to see Richmond leave. He'd developed into a borderline superstar with Moscow. New York look like they have a great roster now as well, so he'll fit in nicely there. Always great to see a member of the blue team in your squad, but didn't realize Shelby hasn't really updated in the last few months which is a shame. The 2nd overall pick will help Moscow stay competing for a while though, so another move that shows how well Spartan manages his assets,

Best of luck in New York @badcolethetitan, hope you can make the finals where you lose to Moscow! Thanks for all the great years Reed, we'll miss ya.

There is going to be lots of chocolate and ham eating to ensure there is plenty of extra fuel in the tank when regular season starts.

Went back home for few days, spent time with family, ate well, then back to work.

I don't mind the quiet off-seasons, but of course it is fun to see some tournament action with the international games for example.

Take one game at a time, work hard, but also try to enjoy the ride, time goes by fast.

Working heavily on the offensive zone and how to get there is paying off for sure, it will be interesting to see whether we can keep our powerplay as hot as it is now.

 

2. Maverick Goncalves @leandrofg is currently leading the league in points. Is this something he can maintain moving forward? Will anyone else on Moscow challenge the king of the hill in scoring? I think so, Maverick is a elite offensive player. They now appear to be scoring more goals also compared to last year, so could be a career best year coming up!

 

3. Moscow currently has only 3 defensemen, as Obuz's parter is a bot. Do you think Obuz can handle a season with a bot, or should I find him a human to play with? I have heard the bots are getting pretty realistic nowadays, so if Obuz does not mind and they treat the bot well - no harm in playing with the bot as long as its fun.

 

4. Does anything about the current VHL standings or scoring leaders surprise you? Or is everything playing out as you expected?

New York maybe, I think I had them finish first in NA in my predictions, but then again seeing how our schedule is - perhaps they have super tough schedule to start the year.

 

5. There are currently three teams without a win - LA, London and Warsaw. Which of the three do you think will be the first to get a win? Alternatively, which team do you think is actually the worst?  Warsaw looks pretty light, only couple forwards in the roster, not a surprise they still the one team without a win.

Our 5 on 5 play has been very impressive this year and it's our best attribute to our team. 

 

2. Maverick Goncalves @leandrofg is currently leading the league in points. Is this something he can maintain moving forward? Will anyone else on Moscow challenge the king of the hill in scoring? I believe he can keep it up with his highly attributed offensive TPE build. I think Jarmo could vie for the scoring title but Maverick's playmaking ability is more useful in the VHL than Jarmo's scoring.

 

3. Moscow currently has only 3 defensemen, as Obuz's parter is a bot. Do you think Obuz can handle a season with a bot, or should I find him a human to play with? I think he needs another defenseman to solidify our defense as Deadpanda needs some protection from shots.

 

4. Does anything about the current VHL standings or scoring leaders surprise you? Or is everything playing out as you expected?

Calgary is a huge shocker because I saw them as a top 3 team in the league but they're all the way at 7th in the division. 

 

5. There are currently three teams without a win - LA, London and Warsaw. Which of the three do you think will be the first to get a win? Alternatively, which team do you think is actually the worst?  None of these teams are undefeated anymore but I believe Warsaw is the worst team because of their lack of depth and still a limited bunch of talent.

2. What would your player's New Year's resolution be and why?

3. Moscow has been feasting in the goal scoring department so far. Is this because we've played mostly rebuilding teams? Or do our high-offense wins over Riga and Davos indicate that our scoring can best anyone in the league?

4. While our offense is clicking, our goalies still have room for improvement. What are some words of encouragement you have for our young goaltenders?

5. Moscow currently leads the league in the standings, and with the Victory Cup curse looming, do you think we need to tank some games to escape the curse? Or is this the team to plow through and ignore irrelevant curses?

6. Who's been the MVP of Moscow at the quarter mark of the season? Will they still be our MVP at the end of the season?

Answer: I know it's a typical answer but I'm aiming to go to the gym more often this year. 

2. What would your player's New Year's resolution be and why?

Answer: Spallsy McDavid is hoping to average a point per game this year in the VHLM for the Mexico City Kings.

3. Moscow has been feasting in the goal scoring department so far. Is this because we've played mostly rebuilding teams? Or do our high-offense wins over Riga and Davos indicate that our scoring can best anyone in the league?

Answer: I believe we're prepared for tough matchups and I think our high-powered offense can sustain itself for the rest of the season with all of our scoring depth.

4. While our offense is clicking, our goalies still have room for improvement. What are some words of encouragement you have for our young goaltenders?

Answer: I think they have to be content with what they are producing because with this highly offensive schemed system, turnovers and scoring opportunities for the other teams are destined to occur so there's not much they can do about it.

5. Moscow currently leads the league in the standings, and with the Victory Cup curse looming, do you think we need to tank some games to escape the curse? Or is this the team to plow through and ignore irrelevant curses?

Answer: Absolutely not. Our offense can plow through any curse.

6. Who's been the MVP of Moscow at the quarter mark of the season? Will they still be our MVP at the end of the season?

Answer: With the great offense we have, I'm going to give the MVP to Jillian Woods for their great shot blocking and consistent point production at the same time. However, I don't know if they'll be able to keep up with the defensive production so I think they'll be overtaken by one of our stud forwards.

I am perfect and I don't need any. I still made a mental note of never farting in stairwells, you never know if someone is up or down and can hear you. Cant always say the noise was your shoes. Bad for your reputation if you are known as the guy who farts in stairwells.

 

2. What would your player's New Year's resolution be and why?

Shoot more and pass less, be more aggressive in front of the net. Fight your teammates if it helps to spark some energy.

 

3. Moscow has been feasting in the goal scoring department so far. Is this because we've played mostly rebuilding teams? Or do our high-offense wins over Riga and Davos indicate that our scoring can best anyone in the league?

Playing the rebuilding teams help, but we also have a solid powerplay%, we can beat any team in the league.

 

4. While our offense is clicking, our goalies still have room for improvement. What are some words of encouragement you have for our young goaltenders?

Try not to be blame yourself too much, sometimes goals are scored and there is nothing you can do about that.

 

5. Moscow currently leads the league in the standings, and with the Victory Cup curse looming, do you think we need to tank some games to escape the curse? Or is this the team to plow through and ignore irrelevant curses?

This year will be the year when we go all the way and show everybody in the world that no curse can stop Moscow!

Maverick has been a beast, they can make plays and score goals. When you look at their shot totals you can see everytime they are on the ice good things are happening!

1. currently you guys have 4 in the top 10, I think you'll at least have 3 by the end of the season.

3. Partially surprised that he seems to be scoring better than he was last season after the deprec hit, but that's probably just me.

 

4. No but only because Kadachi is a player late in his career now, he's got the build I wanted him to have.

1. I'll say 5, Maverick, Pombo, Ruutu, Obuz and Woods

2. I don't know about exact amounts but maybe like 3-4 depending on stats awards and then probably defenseman awards

3. Honestly there's not much to see on an all defense, no offense team such as LVA. Wish we had better defensive stats that we could track.

4. I'm not on Moscow yet but I probably will look up to a mix of Hard Markinson and Ronan Lavelle when building into the future.

5. Probably the TDL for LVA, to see whether we try to bolster the team for the rest of the season or if we look more towards the future.

6. Maybe around +55 or so? Hard to predict really, could drop back to normal margins or could keep breaking away from the league

I have only 50 hits, I was expecting bit more physicality

Rashford and I have been played in the same line for a long time, I think I got some much needed scoring "flow" from Rashford!

 

5. With the second half of the season looming, what are you most excited about heading into the second half?

Playing against the better teams more often and seeing how we do as a team

1. Yes I'll happily avoid the Victory Cup curse as long as we're narrowly 2nd and don't drop very far in the EU standings

2. The market is pretty shit, I think all most teams needed was a 4th defenseman and most of the teams that needed that type of player have acquired them by now. Should be a quiet TDL unless one of the NA wild card teams wants to make a splash.

3. I just claim my job pay which also gives me the theme week doubles for free, I don't plan on doing anything regarding the theme. Might do a look at teams' outlooks though.

4. Probably just that I wish I could invest more into SC, capped at 400 in the M so can't do much but when I get out hopefully I can make a big dump into getting my SC up.

5. I think WC is the most rewarding one since it's a best on best tournament, but WJC and Pro-AM are also fun to be around and look at sims to scratch the itch. World Cup is where I think the most attention should be though.

6. There's a few, just because I think they're exceptional players or budding stars, and also good users. Axle Gunner @Steve is always first in mind as a former Moscow player and one of the hardest working users in the league, Adi Dassler @BOOM is always quietly underrated and hovers around being a top 10 player at any given time, YaBoi Oven @Doomsday is an underrated defenseman to keep an eye on while almost always being top 5 these days, and Logan Ninefingers @Scurvy in VAN is probably the one I'd say is most due for a breakout - already over a PPG in his career in just his 5th season and should have a career year this year at maybe 100 points.
