So the regular season has started and after a few games in, I wanted to do a sorta progress report with LVA's roster. Just kinda checking on how they're doing stats wise with the sims, a bit on TPE earning and yeah. This is prolly gonna be a long one and I've already claimed for this week because of the draft stream, but I have done articles for the sake of doing articles so... fuck it.

RW - Gary Rush, Current TPE: 274 @G_Rush

12 GP: 12G, 10A, 22P, +16

So starting off with the one of the few players who's fully capped out so far, Rush has proven that he's LVA's star winger with a goal per game season so far with 12 goals, and 22 points in just 12 games. With that kind of pace, Rush is sure to beat his point total last season as he is very strong offensively. Rush has also shown some defensive responsibility with 4 shots blocked and 20 hits along with his +16 rating. He's been nothing more than exceptional for Vegas and he's producing just as advertised. Since he's at the cap, that extra 24 TPE is banked, but Rush has been consistent with his earning and I'm confident that he'll be closing into 370 or so by the start of next season.

C - Rhynex Entertainment, Current TPE: 250 @Rhynex Entertainment

12 GP: 4G, 12A, 16P, +15

Ah yes the Entertainer. Rush's linemate and the number one center, Rhynex has just recently capped out and is looking to bring his playmaking game to the next level. The guy just loves to pass the puck. His over a point per game pace and playmaking abilities allows him to be an excellent set up man in the middle for both Rush and Chris Reynolds. His style of play also allows him to be a great option on the powerplay. At this point, I'm tempted to call this line the Triple R Threat because of their outstanding offensive production and simply because their names all have an R. TPE wise, he's been consistently earning that 12 capped TPE plus training facility. He's a fast grower and he's gonna be a great player for NY soon enough.

D - Kasper Kankkunen, Current TPE: 287 @ZP16

12 GP: 7G, 9A, 16P, +16

The third and last player who has already reached the VHLM cap, Kasper Kankkunen is LVA's number one D man. He's a great offensive defenseman and is a great powerplay quarterback. He's not much of a shot blocker with only 9 but he is pretty physical with 20 hits already in the season. Though when in doubt, you can always rely on Kankkunen to come in clutch since he already has two game winners as a defenseman. Plus offensive talent and physicality? Now that's a person to fear on the ice.  Another person who's really active in terms of TPE earning often capping out on the 12 TPE cap, him and the rest of the other players so far are headed for success in the VHL level.

LW - Chris Reynolds, Current TPE: 222 @Crstats23

12 GP: 7G, 10A, 17P, +16

Finishing out the Triple R Threat is Chris Reynolds, the newly drafted Warsaw Predator. The guy has also been producing just as advertised with his solid 7 goals, and 17 points on the season already. Someone who can not only tee it up and light up the lamp, but can also feed the puck to people like Rush, Reynolds is like a mix between Rush the goalscorer, and Rhynex the playmaker. He's also been proven to be a great special teams guy with 2 powerplay goals and one shorthanded goal. Another decently physical player with 22 hits, he's shown that he can be responsible defensively. Another very consistent high TPE earner, I expect him to cap out by next week. In other words, a great recipe for success in the VHL level again.

G - Drew Minott, Current TPE: 212 @DreMin15

12 GP: 9W, 2L, 0 OTL, .902 SV%, 1.87 GAA

Drew "The Minotaur" Minott was a former teammate of mine in Houston (S72 Houston Bulls whats up). After a shaky first couple of sims, he's adjusted to the Vegas style of play and has simply been a brick wall in net. He's already had 1 shutout on the season and I expect more coming up. Ever since the trade that brought him here, he's been an excellent starter and has been the number 1 goalie we needed. Someone who can take a hefty amount of shots, Minott is able to bail out his team when they need him the most. Minner hasn't been earning a lot this past couple of weeks but I still think he's very consistent in his earning. So hopefully I'll see him in LA soon.

LW - Nicholas Sunderbruch, Current TPE: 188 @NickSunderbruch

12 GP: 8G, 8A, 16P, +12

Nicky came back home to Vegas after being drafted 7th overall by us in the Dispersal Draft. He's been excelling so far on the second line with a solid 16 point performance so far. A solid offensive producer, he's closing in on half his season high of last season and could honestly be first line talent if it wasn't for the fact that the Triple R Threat is nothing but exceptional. The scoring is honestly pretty spread out between the people in the roster. Everyone in this team contributes in some way, to which I really like. Sunderbruch has been gradually earning more and more recently and I expect him to cap out come playoff time.

D - Roseann Petal, Current TPE: 170 @Psanchez55

12 GP: 1G, 11A, 12P, +16

Petal to the Medal rounds off the top defensive pairing with Kankunnen. He's another great passer with 11 of his 12 points being assists. What surprises me the most about his game is how well disciplined he is so far as he's yet to take a single penalty. Otherwise he's probably the more defensive one compared to Kankunnen but is still great offensively, again showing how spread out the scoring is among the team. His TPE earning has been down recently but hopefully he comes back and can be a great steal for Chicago.

D - Joakim Lund, Current TPE: 164 @Bouncyelf

12 GP: 2G, 6A, 8P, +13

Joakim Lund was another player we traded for to solidy the Top 4 and he's done just that. 8 points in 12 games is pretty solid but more importantly, Lund has been great on his own end. 10 shots blocked so far along with 30 hits. A great shutdown guy that has the ability to strip opponents of the puck through his defensive awareness and physicality. His current number of points is just an added bonus to me. Lund doesn't earn much TPE wise, but what I like about it is that it is consistent. So I don't have any sort of concern about that regard.

D - Matt Thunder, Current TPE: 160 @Matt thunder

12 GP: 3G, 9A, 12P, +13

Another solid option on the Top 4, Rolling Thunder is a pretty good producer offensively since he's a point per game but is best known for his defense. 9 shots blocked and only 10 hits, he can strip players of the puck primarily through his anticipation and defensive awareness. Him and Lund are a pretty good pairing and what I like the most about LVA's defense this season is that it's very flexible. A lot of pieces can be moved around and they'll all be solid. Thunder isn't your max earner, but he's definitely consistent this past few weeks. I too expect him to get close to the cap, maybe 230TPE or so by the playoffs. If he earns at this pace, Riga is sure to enjoy him as a potential steal.

D - Chase Crosby, Current TPE: 137 @Wreckening

12 GP: 2G, 5A, 7P, +0

Chase Crosby was a returning player as a result of this season's draft. To me, Crosby was a bit of a surprise offensively as he's mostly known as a stay at home, defensive defenseman. It is a pleasant surprise though. Despite his limited ice time as a top 6 D, he's been pretty solid with 13 blocked shots and 12 hits. He has a +/- rating of 0 but that should not be anything of concern. He is on the top 6 after all. Crosby is definitely not a max earner but it has been consistent with about 6-8 TPE each week. Great to see we were able to bring him back to the team 51st overall.

LW - Angel Wachiure, Current TPE: 143 @inflastud

12 GP: 5G, 11A, 16P +13

The Angel returns after a rather fun little dilemma after the draft to which I'm sure the VHLM GMs are prolly slightly salty about. Wachiure has been producing just as advertised as I sound like a broken record at this point. A great top 6 playmaker, he brings not only a great offense into his game but also a good amount of physicality with 25 hits. He isn't much of a defensive guy but definitely makes up for it. He earns consistently using welfare but it has been a bit more inconsistent recently. I still think he'll hopefully be at around 200 TPE come playoffs.

C - Its Gucci, Current TPE: 127 @frescoelmo

12 GP: 3G, 7A, 10P, +13

Because I'm cringy as fuck, I dare say that Gucci has been nothing but lit so far as the second line center. He's pretty popular amongst the fans in Vegas because people just love his personality. He certainly is the most physical in his line as he has 28 hits. I really can't say much other than he's been producing as expected and I think he'll be pretty good as he's been popping off in recent games. Gucci has been really consistent with his TPE earning. Earning about 10+ TPE a week. His stats are sure to jump soon enough.

RW - Artair McCloud, Current TPE: 82 @Hoopydog

12 GP: 2G, 1A, +0

The third line consists of recent new creates, so with that limited ice time and low TPE, I didn't expect them to score too much and that's what's Clouds has been doing. With this season being McCloud's rookie season in the VHLM, he's been holding up pretty good so far. What I like the most is that he still contributes to the forecheck and has 7 hits so far. In my opinion, as long as he's not a minus player, it's good enough for me. McCloud each week looks more and more like a draft steal as his TPE earning has been consistent. With him coming out of the 4th round, I'd say it was a really solid pick. He'll be a great player to watch out for in the future if he stays consistent with his earning.

RW - Kelly Power, Current TPE: 83 @Nordin

12 GP: 1G, 1A, 2P, +0

The Irishman has been pretty good so far. Again, just by not being a minus player is good enough for my standards with his limited ice time and low TPE. Power is already starting to show why it was worth it to pick him in the third round as his earning is spiking up as of recent times. He's definitely a pick for the future and hopefully he'll be at around 150+ TPE by playoffs or the end of the season. I really can't say much for this third line with such a small sample size but for now, slow and steady wins the race.

RW - Connor Sim, Current TPE: 77 @SimmerDown99

12 GP: 0G, 0A, 0P, +0

Connor Sim was honestly a pleasant surprise as I was really uncertain how active he was gonna be until he told me so. With that, he hasn't produced any points. Something I don't find too concerning as of now. He only has 77 TPE. I like how his earning has been trending upwards recently. So in all honesty, Sim can be a potential steal for us sooner than later. With how full our roster is, it was actually decently difficult to figure out how lines will work because we have so many active people. A bit of a problem, but a good problem at least.

D - Linus Zetterstrom, Current TPE: 75 @Ledge_and_Dairy

12 GP: 0G, 3A, 3P, +0

With how steady Zetterstrom's growth has been so far, it really reassures my confidence in him as a pick of the future. The only thing I do have concern of is how he has 10 penalty minutes, but having 3 points with limited ice time is certainly a pleasant thing to see. TPE earning has been consistent so far and but they are still trying to figure out how things work. All I can say is that we here in Vegas will be happy to give you all the help you need and I personally am pretty excited on what's in store for this first-gen. Also I'd honestly prioritize TPE on defense, just saying.

C  - Nero Endrizzi, Current TPE: 73 @Jonessee27

12 GP: 0G, 1A, 1P, +0

Nero Endrizzi was actually one of this season's waiver signings if I'm not mistaken. Only 1 point on the season, but I like the potential 2-way game I'm seeing out of him with his 3 shots blocked and 7 hits. I expect Endrizzles TPE earning to be high and consistent in coming weeks because of the affiliate earning. Other than that I have nothing much else to say other than I'm excited to see where he'll go. Also I personally love the name.

G - Trent Gibson, Current TPE: 70 @Caboose30

1 GP: 0W, 1L, 0 OTL, 0.667 SV%, 7.73GAA

Gibson is the backup to our starter Minner. All I can say is that the stats are kind of an ouchy. With an extremely small sample size to work with, I dunno how things will go. His TPE earning isn't much as he's only claimed practice in recent weeks, but hopefully we can see some more activity soon.

And FINALLY that's that. A progress report of LVA's roster so far. This shit took forever to write and I'll probably not do this again until like 60 games have been played or something. Anyways, let me know what you think and I'll be glad to hear any sort of feedback whatsoever! Until next time!

It's all good my guy! Hopefully you'll get better soon.

I saw the penalties too....been upping my discipline so that should come to a halt. I am also now prioritizing defense, thanks for  the tip

I'm saying this now, defense, scoring, puck handling, skating, and passing are like the most important stats to bring up. Discipline should only be raised if you have a lot into checking but only a little bit cuz they kinda counteract each other.

Review

Fantastic love how you went by TPE so it was easy to find my player, well organized comments about each player to give those not on the team a what to expect without giving away to much away, love it and am already looking forward to the next one
