  1. I would like to take the bull by its horns.
  2. Hello, I'm Special Agent Francis York Morgan II. Please, call me York. That's what everyone calls me. For those of you who don't know, I am the son of retired great Francis York Morgan, a prolific defenseman who joined the league back in the 40s and won multiple championships with a couple of teams. Despite the VHL not having that charisma and talent for the last few decades, the VHL has finally gotten a Morgan family member back into the fray. Growing up with a father figure like Francis York Morgan was pretty great. He was a great staple on defense for numerous teams during his VHL career, and I got to watch him play his heart out every single night. Once I was old enough he began to introduce me to the game and hoped I would be as good as he was when he played. And now it seems I am on track to at least try, as I am looking to be a hot commodity among VHLM teams as a free agent. But what is in store for my potential VHL career? What does Francis York Morgan want to do in this league? My biggest goal is to do what my father couldn't, and make it into the Hall of Fame. It is certainly a tall order, as Francis York Morgan was a formidable player but didn't make the cut to be immortalized. Can his son take up the mantle and become the player that he was not? I certainly think I have the work ethic to do so. So what is my deal? What makes Francis York Morgan II tick? For starters, I have a tenacious personality but not so much to where I am going to be sitting in the box every time I step out on the ice. I also am very much interested in sending sick clappers to the net whenever I can, something that my father was less interested in doing. Funny enough he was the one to get me into a more shoot-first role, as there are a lot of defensemen in the VHL now who know how to shoot the puck much better than the players he saw during his prime seasons. Does that mean I am going to score 50 goals a season? Probably not, but at the very least I will be sending lots of pucks on the net and the chaos that ensues may lead to more goals for my team. On the defensive side of the puck, I have a lot to learn, as among my teammates in the lower leagues I had a really hard time keeping opponents from picking up rebounds in front of my net. Despite that issue I think I have the work ethic and the inquisitiveness to learn from my past mistakes and really adapt to this new league to where I am able to be a much better defensive player. However, I should warn any GM that tries to sign me that it may be a slow going to start my career. Rome wasn’t built in a day, you know. But that is about the extent of Francis York Morgan II as a player. I may talk more about myself as a person, but for now I will stick to the on-ice stuff and look forward to talking about my career as it progresses in the VHLM and VHL. Time to take a sip of coffee and get to work.
  3. Is there a way to change the position to defense? I accidentally hit submit without changing the position.

  5. I tried to come back. I can't get myself up to do this grind again. So long.
  6. Nevermind.
  7. Who is going to be my draft rival for this player, I wonder?
  8. Take a look at this picture. What do you see? The top five youngsters drafted to the VHLM in the dispersal draft What don't you see? The wonderful and potential superstar Francis Zach Morgan. He was relegated to the second round after all the hype that was coming out for him, and has his career start on a low note having to prove himself to the world that being drafted so late was a major mistake. Who came ahead of him? 1. Fabio Jokinen, a defenseman with a lot of potential and the best pure player in this draft class as it currently stands. 2. Phil Shankly, a winger with a scoring touch and legs like the wind, another high talent player. 3. Edwin Threencarnacion, arguably the best goaltender of this draft class but a surpise to be picked this early considering his position. 4. Aeschylus Jigglejawns CXXXVII, a strange defenseman with an odd family and one of the biggest "high risk high reward" players with his mental fortitude (or lack therof). 5. Daryl Dortch, a winger who is somewhat better than Morgan in some respects, but could not be able to adjust to the speed of the game with his high-checking style. 6. Rhett DeGrath, another goalie with a lot of talent but a surprising pick this high considering he isn't a physical wonder but it just tall and somewhat quick coming into this draft. 7. Die Domi, another winger and another high checking style that may not be able to adapt. Many people talk about his work ethic, but it is only speculation right now. 8. Brent Hardy, another defenseman with some potential but could be nothing more than a defensive defenseman, really. Then came Francis Zach Morgan, surprisingly the first center to be chosen in this draft, which is a strange thing to see considering how important centers are to winning hockey games. There is speculation as to why Morgan dropped this low, and a lot of it has to do with the Morgan preceeding him who fell off a cliff in work ethic and was traded to just about every team in the VHL, but with this Morgan's appeal to the league showing how much he is going to work going forward, it is a strange thing to see all these GMs shy away from him. What does this mean for Francis Zach Morgan in the VHLM? He is going to be the centerpiece of the Yukon Rush, a team he is not familiar with, and because he will have a lot of responsibility from the get-go he is going to need to continue to work out as hard as he can so that he can be one of the best prospects going forward and potentially be one of the top players picked in the VHL draft next season. But right now he is not considered to be a top prospect and he will have to work twice as hard to show the world that he will be a future star that will be invaluable to a team's chances at winning a cup.
  9. As a prospect whose family has a storied history of not being all that active at stages, you guys are making me sad forcing me to wait for my new career to start. As a forward I get tired very quickly compared to defensemen, so my patience this go-around is not that high. I am hereby formally demanding that the VHLM pick a draft date immediately, or you will face the consequences. They are numerous in number and you will rue the day that you forced this upon me. They are as follows: 1. Francis Zach Morgan will be angry at you. 2. Francis Zach Morgan will think about retiring. 3. The VHLM will be from now on known as the LameHLM for how lame the league is right now. This is an official trademark. 4. Francis York Morgan will spend the rest of his days in retirement badmouthing the VHLM because of what it has failed to do. 5. Francis York Morgan and Francis Zach Morgan will not longer acknowledge the VHLM as a legitimate organization and will not watch any VHLM games on TV. 6. Francis Zach Morgan won't try playing defense during his junior career. An ultimatum has been placed upon you, and it is quite obvious the consequences for not providing a date will be dire, indeed. I hope you make the right decision and give us a draft date immediately.
  10. Has Mr. Trifecta never heard of a scholarship before? Also it took me two seconds to find something on google that disputes the idea that NFL players typically come from rich backgrounds. I didn't even know people thought that was the general thing going. http://www.burkmont.com/2015/10/the-nfl-might-have-growing-poverty.html
  11. Thanks for bringing be back to the big dance, even though it ended in sadness.
  12. God dammit.
