  1. Congrats, @Kendrick and @Mr. Power.
  2. Kind of what I was thinking but whatever.
  3. I guess everyone has their own review style. I'm gonna be honest, I started reviewing but realize how long the article was and stopped. Only read the first paragraph so the only issue I saw was this. Should be "hear" but I think you knew that.
  4. I didn't even know you were a reviewer tbh
  5. You found absolutely no errors in this article?
  6. Not sure why this was tagged as "Reviewed" I removed the tag.
  7. I think you maybe started typing this sentence on way then changed your mind and went a different direction. Assuming 27 goals and 24 assists for 51 points? "...isn't as good either" I believe is more grammatically correct here. How big is this boat? Nice job with the article. Any issues I had are noted above but nothing major. I like to see what people think of other players in the league. I kinda was hoping I'd get a spot on the ballot since I hit a pretty nice streak recently but maybe next year. Keep up the good work!
  8. Review: Interesting article here. Will there be a follow up article about how the actual event went? I think you used "I must admit" at least twice in the article. Might just be me but maybe you should try to mix it up a little bit. If you notice yourself using the same phrase twice, see if you can think of another way to say it. Could have used "I gotta say" or something. Really my only critique. Nice job. Oh, and center the images, please
  9. Review: Nice job, this inspired me to do a similar article, seems like the easiest thing to do with the 2nd player. Have no issues with this, spelling/grammar all looked good. Keep it up! I'm interested to see how the 2nd player project increases Media Spot numbers.
  10. Review: Whoops, read this but never commented. Things might get tricky naming your next player. Nice job with the rookie profile. Met the requirements as far as I can tell and you touched on the pros and cons. Best of luck with Edwin again, I'm sure he'll be a great player.
  11. Found this to be a little confusing. "lo and behold" don a Bombers sweater Nice job with the biography. I think you're the first to submit a bio for the 2nd player. I only noticed the issues above but nothing that detracted from the overall bio. Love the names of his parents lol
  12. I approve this message. Come to Brampton, @Phil. I've never shared a LR with you that I recall, isn't that what the 2nd player is all about? More member interaction!
  13. Do you watch Pretty Little Liars?
  14. Nice job with the blocked shots, Dotran.
  15. Who is active on this team? I see @Paramorise.
  16. I hope you mean counting him since Flip is the only player I've had.
  17. Name: Daryl Dortch Height: 6’5” Weight: 266 lbs Position: Right Wing Handedness: Right Hometown: Chicago, Illinois Daryl Dortch was born and raised in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. He grew up watching players like Donald Brashear and Jarome Iginla, players he could relate to. Both of those players shaped the way young Daryl thought the game should be played. He decided to get out of the Chicago and attend Robert Morris just outside of Pittsburgh, there, he was finally able to play the sport he loved so much. Pros Power: Let’s face it, Dortch is a massive guy to see skating around. He uses his size well, too, as he has a very physical edge to his game. He is very strong on and off the puck. He can get in the corners and power his way out of tough situations as well as he can lay the lumber on an opposing forward coming into the zone. When he gets going, steer clear, he’s one of the best at delivering open ice hits. Defensive Awareness: Dortch plays with the mindset that “Defense wins championships.” Whether it’s from his beloved Chicago Bears and their Monsters of the Midway or his college coaches, he has always been a fan of playing defense. He plays defense not just by knocking opposing players off the puck but also with good stick positioning and handling. Dedication: As with the other VHL player in the EPA, Dortch has shown he can be a gym rat. The EPA has proven that they can produce dedicated players in the VHL and it doesn’t appear things will be much different with Dortch. Look for Dortch to rack up a decent amount of training hours despite being the second player represented in the VHL by the Evryday Player Agency. Cons Experience: Or lack thereof in this case. Daryl Dortch topped out as a second line player in college and that wasn’t until his senior year. This guy is as green as they come. This may be a big red flag going into the VHLM. He has played 156 games at the collegiate level, only 39 of them with second line time. The rest of the games he was relegated to a grinder role on the third and fourth lines. Skating: As we mentioned, Dortch is a big guy and as such, he’s not very quick on his feet. He’s not going to be out skating anyone on a breakaway or chasing anyone down to prevent one. This is something he has tried to work on but it is still a work in progress to say the least. Passing: Dortch has good stick handling for a big guy but he has a tendency to be more of a shoot first player when he does get the puck. He also tends to make bad passes when he does attempt them. Look for this as a top area for improvement along with his skating. Player Projection Dortch should be a top 6 power forward at the VHLM level. He’s not going to blow anyone away with his scoring prowess but he could surprise people occasionally. He will rack up the hits which may contribute to higher penalty minutes at the next level. Should work on skating and passing as he progresses to be more than a role player. (557-ish words, 402-ish in Pros/Cons)
  18. Like I said in my vhl.com article, the point of this project, besides giving us a larger player base, was to let people interact with more of the community. Can't do that if I go play for GMs I've already played for or play for in other leagues.
  19. Accept. Let's do this. Thanks, @ADwyer87, @JardyB10, and @sterling for the interest. Best of luck to you guys.
  20. Daryl Dortch took some time to make his decision on where he’ll play the rest of the VHLM season since hitting free agency. There was a decent amount of interest from a few VHLM teams including the Saskatoon Wild, Bern Royals, Brampton Blades, and Ottawa Lynx. “I don’t want to keep anyone waiting any longer. I have decided I will take my talents to the Brampton Blades. I like the way the team is looking and hope I can give them that extra push to surpass Yukon in the standings. I’d like to thank the other GMs for their interest. I can’t wait to see what the remainder of the VHLM season holds for me and what I can do for my draft stock in the time I have left.” So there you have it. The power forward is going back to the team his player agency once GM’d. (I’ve never had a chance to share a locker room with Smarch as he said when making the offer. I know one of the arguments for this whole “Project 2 Player” was so people can meet and interact with people they haven’t had a chance to previously so in the effort of using this opportunity for what it was intended, I decided to go with Brampton.)
  21. And Lincoln's point streak comes to an end...
