  1. Review: It's good to read a positive article about my team. It's rough, that's for sure. Nice article, no grammar issues except the last paragraph says "is" instead of "if"
  2. I think you misspelled my name again.
  3. Review: This is great. Good read, good grammar, looked good. Very well done. Looks like you took your time on it. This coupled with the .com article you wrote make me excited to read what you write from here on out.
  4. All Star Week Felipe Rodriguez is not putting up All-Star worthy numbers in his rookie VHL season. Given first unit power play and second pairing minutes, he has only managed to get 22 points, 15 assists and seven goals. Not bad for a rookie defenseman but he had hoped for more. “I really expected to have more points by now. We’re pretty close to half way through the season and I only have 22 points. I think I had more points my rookie year in the VHLM. I don’t know what I was expecting the talent level to be up here but I really thought I would be more successful on offense than I have been.” The All-Star game is less than a week away and with Flip having the fewest points for a rookie still in the VHL, it looks like he may be watching from home. “I actually just bought a brand new TV. In my apartment, I just had an old tube TV. With my new VHL level contract I splurged and bought myself a new LED or whatever TV. I don’t know technology too much but the store clerk told me it was the best of the bunch. I just got everything all set up so I’m ready to watch the VHL All-Star events in full HD.” He may have plans to watch from home but he was actually on the ballot for captaincy of the North American All Star Team, much to his surprise. “It was pretty cool to see my name on the ballot even more so to see that I actually received two votes to be the assistant captain. I don’t think it’ll happen this season but if I keep up the hard work, there’s no reason I can’t get there eventually. It’s a moment a lot of people only dream about so to even see my name and get votes is really great. It lets me know I must be doing something right.” Despite struggling on the offensive side of things, he has had a pretty good defensive year, +/- rating aside. Through 44 games, Flip has managed 101 hits and 121 blocked shots. All 72 games last year in Saskatoon he had 116 hits and 162 blocked shots. If he keeps up at his current pace, he should get just about 165 hits and 206 blocked shots. Those blocked shots numbers are still just about 40 off of top 25 and he would be less than half way to breaking the top 25 in hits but as a rookie, these are numbers he can definitely improve upon. When asked about record books, this is what he had to say: “I definitely have a long way to go to get into the record books. I feel like coming into the league my defense was definitely sub-par. Since my rookie year back in Ottawa, I have taken the time to improve my defense and physical game. I think it has shown on the stat sheet. Now that I have a solid defensive base, I’d like to improve upon that and eventually get that top spot in blocked shots for a season. I’m not sure how much was personal skill and how much was game plan, though.”
  5. Review: First of all, thanks for the shoutout, wasn't expecting to be on anyone's list. I'm not even sure I'd be on my own at this point. Nice job writing this up. Got the word count, got images, haven't seen that sombrero one before lol. Also, didn't see any grammar issues so that's good to see. Keep it up!
  6. I'm "pescatarian" but occasionally I'll have chicken so I guess I don't really fit into any specific category, but when I made that change, I noticed a big difference in how I felt more than anything. I lost about 12 lbs but I seem to have plateaued. I recently got in touch with a health coach through my job so I'm working on getting more active and all that. Glad to see I'm not the only non-meat eater around here, even if I only half count lol
  7. Never thought I'd have more Fantasy points than Black Velvet.
  8. April Fools? If not, I want to go back home and play for Mexico. That being said, Mexico City isn't all that close to the Gulf.
  9. Review: I, like everyone else, have no idea what I just read. I will review this strictly based on grammar and appearance. It had only one error that I noticed. More of a typo. Otherwise, keep up the writing, it'll be entertaining if nothing else.
  10. My next player will be this type of player. I went with a more offensive build this time around.
  11. Review: I'm a little confused about the legal name change at 16 but all that aside, this is a very good article. Nothing major in the grammar department, very well done. Sorry to hear about your bro. Also, Mason jars aren't just a Vancouver thing, we have several in our cupboard, too and I'm in the states. Thanks for the insight, great idea for an article.
  12. Review: I really like this look at these rookies. Didn't really notice any issues with grammar or anything so good job there. Keep up the writing, I hope I'm in the next one of these. Anyway, nice use of pictures and layout.
  13. Review: Well written article. Thanks for taking the time to write this up. Not much I can "review" but there were a few grammatical errors up in the first paragraph, probably more like typos. Anyway thanks for the clarification. I have a few years before I need to worry about it anyway.
  14. I was half expecting someone to have won MVP as a defenseman then switched to forward after.
  15. The two defenseman MVP's were hard to find. First I compared the HOF defenseman to the MVP winner list but only got one of the two. So then I went through every draft in VHL history and searched for their name on the MVP list. I'm hoping this week's questions are easier
  16. There aren't any near me. Burger King had tacos similar to Jack in the Box though.
  17. Chick Fil A always has a huge line so it's not fast to me but their spicy chicken is amazing.
  18. White Castle will clean that right out. But seriously, Just wait it out and stay as hydrated as you can. I ate street food in Mexico and got horribly sick. the flight home was interesting with that tiny airplane bathroom. Couldn't even drink Gatorade without puking it up. If it gets too bad might want to consider the E.R.
  19. Sorry, I typed it up in word then pasted it over here and forgot to check formatting. My bad.
