We have been spoiled by many awesome draft classes and 45 Seasons of VHLness.  We can't just sit back on the laurels of the past and expect this big machine to keep turning.  In sales they say once you get a new customer you can count the days till they leave you.  The same is true for the VHL and its members we need bodies as many as we can get because in the end no one can be here forever.  Lots of people recreate take breaks and come back.  Many members don't even make it to the VHL though so we have to maximize our chances by bringing as many people here as we can.  The Season 47 Draft only has 1 round of prospects right now and while we will get more once the pre-season starts it won't be enough.  To make sure we get at least 3 rounds of draft again we need people to go out there and recruit for the next few weeks.
Remember recruiting new people or trying to get old members back helps the league, helps you, and helps everyone.  You get recruitment TPE as an added incentive which is always nice.  The most effective way to recruit is through other sim leagues like ours.  So if you are apart of any others make sure to nicely ask about advertising for the VHL.  Other hockey related forums and communities are also an effective method.  So get out there and bug the shit out of people until they join.

Dishing out 50 assists this season and 26 goals, Harumpf put up his second consecutive 76 point season for the Dynamo. Playing center between Freedom McJustic and James Faraday, he helped them to career seasons.

I plan on being the best defensive defender in the league once again. I've never changed my goal, I want to be the guy that hiTs everything that moves and blocks the most shots. I'm a team first guy who wants to help guide his team to a cup, my goals are the same do my best to help win the cup. I play the role of team goon something most people are not proud of, but I do my job no questions asked. Davos is my life blood and I want to repay the team for their loyalty to myself.

In The Annual Victory Hockey League Beer Olympics!

While training is of the utmost importance to the Irish forward, young Sean Blacker thought it was necessary to take the good with the bad and participate in the yearly fight for alcoholic supremacy.  Said Blacker during an interview over the weekend, "It's my second job.  I'd be a damn good professional drinker if there was a league."  Leaning over judges with his 6'5" frame, Sean has the build to put down nearly a case of beer in half an hour.  Don't believe him? "It's true, we dared him to one night after beating Moscow.  Those Russians and their watered down brew...  We should have challenged him with a case of porter-style beer," fellow teammate and winger Parechkin explained.
 
Walking up to the Beer Olympics stage as the inaugural pick, Blacker vowed not to let his team down.  "I told my friends, if VHL general managers weren't sure about selecting me, they'd have a much better idea of what I was all about!"
 
Apparently that didn't go over well with a few GM's, who repeatedly called him an 'alcoholic' during a later press conference.
 
Will Blacker's stock slide because of his shenanigans a week prior to the Season 46 VHL Entry Draft?  Previously slotted to go as early as number 5 overall to Riga, it's possible that if Seattle and Toronto don't like his act (holding eight of the top ten picks), he could be without a team come selection Sunday.
