  1. Pretty much means Holik will sign with Helsinki as a stopgap until I am drafted by Helsinki.
  2. What are your opinions on the two new suggestions I made in the suggestions forum? What are your personal goals with Holik and Sokolov this season? Do you really think Robbie can live up to his word and dominate this season, or will the other four GMs secretly form an alliance and take him down like people were trying to take down Ottawa last year?
  3. Inside joke between those who listened to @Street x Lite's podcast
  4. Regarding Fujimoto... So we now actively allow people to have multiple identities?!
  5. I know exactly where everyone is going. Toronto Shawn Gretzky Davos Fook Yu Helsinki Torstein Ironside Riga Aleksei Federov Quebec Hudson Abbott Stockholm Takashi Fujimoto Whoever is 7th Rudolph Schmeckeldorf Helsinki Markus King Calgary Verner Reinholdt Helsinki, from NY Vernon Von Axelberry
  6. Yes everyone has life and I understand. It's not like we can do much to get people to write better quality anyways even if it was horrendous now that the TPE is handed on a silver platter without grading required...
  7. Loved the podcast Streetlight. Nice to hear people's voice and associate them with a username. I loved how you were able to keep a totally serious tone throughout all the mockery of @Da Trifecta!
  8. Free agency has started for a few years! Nothing has happened! #HurryUpAndSignSomeExecutiveOrders

Ah I see and I meant hours not years lol, must have been a long day

  9. Very easy on the eyes @DollarAndADream with the brief paragraphs spaced out. Points are well thought out and it shows that you put effort into it. Like I told Advantage, you're a veteran here so I don't expect you to get insulted by, offended by, or scared of my critiques; I only point them out so you can improve. #: 63 --> Number: 63 Weight: 6'3" --> Height: 6'3" Bo Boeser is a player coming out the college hockey leagues --> Bo Boeser is a player coming out of the college hockey leagues He has declared the want to play --> the want? he wants to play? He has declared his desire to play? Any team that picks Boeser in the VHLM Dispersal Draft should be happy with him, although his strong connections to the VHL's Toronto Legion team make him a sure bet to play there, so no VHL team should hope to land him. --> run-on sentence Sniper: --> only heading underlined, inconsistent formatting (not sure what you do as a job/career, but this is the type of the thing that will hurt your chances of moving up) Sniper: --> it is also inconsistent in the fact all the other strengths/weaknesses are skills, but this is a role; maybe change it to shooting Being more of a offensive-minded player --> Being more of an offensive-minded player Although, look for this area to improve in the future. --> fragment I look forward to doing battle with Boeser this season and coming out on top. Good luck in Toronto and in the VHL next season and go shatter some goal scoring records Zach Parechkin style.
  10. Hey, bonus points for colour! Out of curiosity where are you from, @Advantage? It's interesting you used two blank spaces between sentences; I know some people who do follow that practice but it's really rare, at least for me. It was really well-written and I don't have much to complain about. Since you're also a veteran member I'm going to get nitpicky and do it like the old days. Hope you find it useful or at least appreciate it as writing is a life-long skill that is useful in real life too! Lane, who belongs to the Advantage Agency that produced the likes of Ryan Sullivan and Brick Wahl, is looking to follow in the footsteps of some of his predecessors and even currently represented Brock Dragonslayer, who is starting to come into his own as a member of the European Conference Champions, the Stockholm Vikings. --> Run on sentence Except this upcoming season to be a huge year for Lane --> Expect this... (spelling error) Skating is rather a crucial attribute --> Skating is a rather crucial attribute One opposing coach had this to say about it: “You really have to --> One opposing coach had this to say about it, “You really have to (comma instead of colon) Some defenders like Alexander Valiq, Lee King Snatch and Daniel Braxton, excelled at finding the back of the net --> Some defenders like Alexander Valiq, Lee King Snatch and Daniel Braxton excelled at finding the back of the net (no comma after Braxton) While I have stated several times that he is not offensively inclined --> random first person narrative Again, I was just being nitpicky and I have to assert myself again that this was quite well written. Little bit on the short side but still met the requirements. Good luck with Lane and hopefully he'll have a successful career. Remember not to score on me this season; the odd assist against me is okay though.

    The New VHLM

So is this how the VHLM draft order looks like now? @Frank
  12. Great job @BOFish and my official welcomes to both the site and the league. It's nice to see you such active right off the bat and piling on the TPE. I'm sure you would have already written a media spot if Frank wasn't so kind enough to gift you the free week. I'm not sure if you are aware, as there's quite a bit to absorb as a new member/player to the VHL, but just wanted to remind you that you can also write a 150-word article every week for 1 TPE; more details can be found here. Nice presentation and formatting; easy to read and looks good on the eyes. You could use some color like blue for the strengths and red for the weaknesses. -0.25 (No just kidding, people who have been here since the beginning will get the joke.) Don't want to seem too anal and scare you from writing anymore, but there's a lot of random capitalized words. Looks like you're well on your way to making a shutdown defenseman. Also love how realistic you graded yourself instead of some people who give themselves A's and B's across the board. Also, seems like your player lost some weight since he was created!
  13. It's the VHL's worst kept secret that I'll be a first-ballot HoFer in nine or ten years.
  14. More like I mixed you up for some G1 in the VHLM because VHLM is where it's at now, and Moon isn't someone people talk about. Hear anyone talking about Fred Brathwaite in the NHL?
  15. That's cute, HSK G1 lead the league with a .959 save percentage when you were pulled. And how the heck did you start all 72 games this season after what Beketov wrote and the resim. I'm surprised Higgins started you over HSK G1.
  16. @Higgins first few paragraphs and conclusion already 464 words, so 3 TPE bonus please. I could just rename this MS as my pick for top three picks, but I want do the one and only VHLM mock as well.
  17. Yeah I'd like to see how Moon will get 70 shutouts in 8 games.
  18. I know this isn't finished, but I'm just posting on the computer for formatting. I'm going to work now and will slowly chug away at it on mobile.
  19. The S54 VHLM Dispersal Draft is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, the day after the S54 VHL Entry Draft. Now would be a good time for a VHLM mock draft, as everyone else has been doing VHL mock drafts for the past week or two. 1st overall pick – Las Vegas Aces, from Bratislava Watchmen @BobertZ @Frank With goalie Vernon Von Axelberry being the newly relocated team’s only notable asset at the time, the shocking news of Ko Kane’s age fabrication must be a major blow to Vegas’ champion aspirations. The stay-at-home defenseman will actually not be eligible to be drafted by a VHLM team until the S56 VHLM Dispersal Draft. Expected to take two highly sought after forwards with the top two picks in the draft, I now see Las Vegas taking Felix Savard first overall. Positional needs and player talent aside, having one of the VHLM co-commissioners on his team must undoubtedly be Robbie Zimmers’ secret weapon and “devious plan” that he has been relentlessly preaching as of late. With the Aces currently having three of the top four picks in the draft, we could see a similar photo being taken quite early. 2nd overall pick – Las Vegas Aces @Smarch The elite forwards in this draft class are too good and I can’t possibly see Zimmers picking Lyle Smallwood, yet another defenseman so early. Having said that, after having grabbed Savard first overall, I see Vegas taking the only decent left wing prospect, Rusty Trombone, second overall. The defensive-minded forward put in 11 points in 27 games for Brampton last year with limited ice time. Handed the keys to the first line and surrounded by decent talent, I see Trombone breaking out in a big way this year. 3rd overall pick – Oslo Storm @Bushito @gregreg Oslo also do not have any noteworthy prospects retained from last season, as players such as Toor Diamond, Kai Abendroth, and Riley Harper are all second-tier forwards. Having said that, second-tier forwards are better than no forwards, and therefore I see the Storm taking Lyle Smallwood with the third overall pick. This two-way defenseman put up an incredible 32 points in 23 games for the Yukon Rush last season having been surrounded by talent with Yukon gearing for a Founder’s Cup run. Smallwood will be tasked with being the leader on this Oslo Storm team, and while his numbers will undoubtedly drop, his importance to Oslo cannot be understated. 4th overall pick – Las Vegas Aces, from Saskatoon Wild @DollarAndADream With already their third pick of this young draft, I predict that Las Vegas will snag free-scoring rookie center Bo Boeser here. He is the only center worth mentioning in this draft at this point, and having drafted both the top center and left winger available, this could be the start of the end for the other four teams. 5th overall pick – Saskatoon Wild, from Brampton Blades 6th overall pick – Oslo Storm, from Yukon Rush 7th overall pick – Ottawa Lynx The rest of the draft… 8th - Las Vegas 9th - Oslo 10th - Las Vegas, from Brampton 11th - Saskatoon, from Yukon 12th - Las Vegas, from Ottawa 13th - Las Vegas, from Bratislava 14th - Las Vegas 15th - Oslo 16th - Saskatoon 17th - Las Vegas, from Brampton 18th - Saskatoon, from Yukon 19th - Ottawa While the draft class this year seems to be comparatively weaker than recent years, there are still numerous steals to be had. Keep in mind there could be a couple of elite prospects announcing their eligibility at the eleventh hour after they have been passed over in the VHL Entry Draft (read: S47 players retiring at preseason and recreating).
  20. I love how you know you are clearly replacing Moon but are treating him nicely and all until you officially ditch him lol
  21. Is 70 the number of goals he let in during the playoffs?
  22. @ChiefNoka4 now you can link to this thread and claim your TPE
  23. It's only confidence if you can back it up. It's arrogance until you get that Founder's Cup lol
  24. Pump that TPE into leadership
