I have to say, this may be my favorite team to be on throughout my entire time in the VHL. We didn't say no or take a no for an answer. We defied all odds. We got it done. Great job boys and girls! We have a great future ahead of us as well. Congrats to Helsinki on a great series. You had us worried going into it. WE DID IT, WOLVES!!!

Well, for the theme week, it is to come up with the Dream team. How about we look at my ALL UK dream team. Now, these are people who listed UK as their birthplace in the portal. We will look at any and all players to make my decision, so let's do it! STARTING LINEUP Starting at Center... PODRICK CAST!! The easiest pick of the bunch was going to Podrick Cast. Cast played in 576 games during his VHL tenure accounting for 846 points, 379 of those points being goals. He played for Moscow in his final 2 seasons while spending most of his career in Riga. This guy had an amazing 289 +/- and had multiple trophies including 2 Scotty Campbell Trophies. This guy would make an amazing fit to the ALL-UK team. Starting at Left Wing... PHIL MARLEAU!! How about someone who is not retired yet? Phil Marleau would be taking up the left wing for Cast. During Marleau's career so far with Riga and Malmo, he has played 548 games and accounting for 399 points. He has scored 156 goals and has a +27. I really love what he would do with Cast, I think they'd make a fun line to see on the ice. Starting at Right Wing... UHTRED!! Starting on the right wing is another guy who is currently playing for the Seattle Bears and having a really nice season. It is Uhtred. He is only in his 4th season in Seattle, already scoring 222 points in 259 games. This would be the youngin on the squad, but I really think could be a great player and complete the line. Starting at Defense... JOSEPH MCWOLF!! This may have been the second easiest guy to name to the squad. McWolf is a phenomenal defenseman who accounted for 547 points during his career of 576 games. He spread his time across the league playing mostly for New York, but also saw some time in Malmo as well as Riga. I think he would be an amazing fit to the team, we are starting off the defenseman right. Starting at Defense... LANCE FLOWERS!! McWolf's partner will be none other than Lance Flowers. He has not completed his VHL career yet, playing for the DC Dragons currently. He has played 475 games in his career thus far, having 371 points and a +32. I really think this guy could add a ton of value to the squad. Flowers has also won the Jake Wylde Trophy twice in his Career. We would love to see this pairing, it would be cool to see. Starting in goal ... FINN DAVISON!! In goal, we are going to be looking at Finn Davison. I think this may be a controversial pick, but this guy played 487 VHL games having a record of 230-198 with a 2.54 GAA and a .920 Save Percentage. He is not quite a Hall of Famer (sadly), but I think he would be good enough to play with this team. I really think this guy could beat a lot of countries that would want to have him on their team.

You know, I have just got started with Micah Adrienne, which I have really liked being so far. I think he has some real good history and a lot of buzz around him, that is what I like to see. But, there is one thing that is escaping me, that first overall pick. I want one of my players to go first overall in the draft. I thought I had a real chance with Adrienne, but that did not happen, as we know. I have loved my time in Vancouver so far, my first goal for Adrienne would be getting his name up in the rafters of the Wolves. We will see if he gets his name up in the lights for the VHL, but Vancouver, that will be the first goal. Now, what will be next? How will I get that #1 pick that has been escaping me? Well, something that I was debating doing again this time was making a goalie. I was so close to making another Finn Davison, but I decided to go defense. Next, I will be looking at going back into a goaltender. I wish I almost did it this time as I am already missing being a goalie, but it's alright. I really do not have too much of a name picked out yet, but goalie will absolutely the next player. When you look at the player beyond being a goalie, I have always wanted to be a scorer as well, but with everyone basically trying to do that, there is not much of a need for that. I really want to be the guy that no one wants to be. That is why I love being a defensive-defenseman with Micah Adrienne. No one wants to do the dirty work in their own zone, but that is something I have always loved to do, but I guess it's time to think about my success. Once I become the #1 overall pick, the goal will next to be in the Hall of Fame, as I am not sure Finn Davison will get in and it is way to early to see about the projection of Adrienne. I wish Finn would get in as I feel like he really deserves it. He spent a ton of time on a rebuilding team. I feel that if I was on a winning team, I would be in the Hall of Fame, but it is what it is. People love offensive players, so I will be making a pure scorer after that. Think of Alex Ovechkin, that is the player I will likely be trying to build. I will be really enjoying my time in the VHLM with the million points that I will be putting up. We will see where I go with each of these players, but the future is bright. I feel like I always look ahead to what I will be building next. I love goalie, so that will be soon. I will be taking name suggestions for players if anyone has any. Bonus points if it is a Taylor Swift pun.

I was told they "wanted something weird and different". That's as much as I got after the draft lol. Groovy is a good person, but yeah, that's what I got. I would have preferred the first gen response, to be honest.

1) What are you doing to prepare for the start of the new season? I listen to a lot of Taylor Swift in order to get in the mood for playing hockey again. I am ready to go, eating well, exercising. Let's go. 2) What did you do during the off-season? I spent a lot of time working out, also had a really nice vacation to the Outer Banks. I spent some time away, but socially distant of course. 3) Are you scared of being rusty in the pre-season games? I am scared of getting burned in pre-season games sure. I mean, I am a rookie, the last thing you want to do is make a fool of yourself. 4) What is your main goal this season? I do not want to get destroyed. I want to hold my own in my rookie season. I doubt I will get Rookie of the Year, so just not get destroyed. 5) What films have you seen lately? You really cannot go out much, so it's been all stuff on Netflix. I have watched a lot of Heavyweights. Love that movie. 6) Looking back at some of the VHL greats who do you think would improve your team right now? I am not sure, I think it's about staying on the path and continue to grow. We will create our own legacy. 7) Last season wasn't so great for us but how do you think we can improve? One day at a time. Continue to grow, get better. Continue the grind.

Micah Adrienne was picked #3 in the VHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Wolves. We were familiar with that team from my time with Finn Davison, so I was happy to go to Vancouver. We did catch up with Micah who had some things to say about the draft.
