  1. Damn it, so close. Ritchie off the mark at least.
  2. Ritchie has been a average player in the VHLM in his time here, a freshman year marred by injury and a recovery to return after being picked up by the Marlins in the Dispersal draft along with the Dragons in the actual draft. Though he's managed to find the net a fair few times this season a with 33 goals it still feels like he hasn't taken the step forward that many, including himself, was expecting in the off-season. "I feel a bit out of sorts really, whether it's the fatigue of hard season setting in or the additional workload after a fair amount of out talent was trading away, whatever the cause I've been playing poorly in my opinion. I've been getting my shots off but not hitting many. 5th in shots and yet not even top 10 in goals is just embarrassing, I know I can be a bit trigger happy sometimes but when they are going in it works well." Doubts about Ritchies career in the major league have cropped up recently as he's well behind his peers from the same draft class. "It's tough seeing the Valentino's and Adrienne's of the world getting fame and accolades in the big league while I'm still basically where I started 3 seasons ago. I know people say you just need to keep trying but sometimes that dream of a VHL starting position seems so so far away."
  3. 6-2 W Ritchie plays 22 minutes and gets 1 shot and a hit. WTF was I doing?
  4. Lets go for 35, I think a young team like DC can make the kind of improvements that other more experience or older teams can struggle to achieve so I think we can pick the pace up a bit come the end of the season. Get a defenseman, I need less competition for spots if I'm ever gonna actually play for DC. Hard to say, I think they each stand a good chance of putting up some really nice numbers, it'll probably just come down to which way the puck bounces as they're both really talented players. I'd say it's gonna be Toronto, both of the the other two are putting up really strong seasons and that's why they sit top of the table while the Legion have faltered a bit as the mid-season has come on. Aaltonen probably, he's neck and neck with Randoms and he has the drive and determination to push on a make a really strong go at nabbing that scoring title. Fresh Bakery food, getting fresh croissants in the morning is so great, smack some bacon in the middle and you've got yourself something special. Not to mention getting some really good tiger bread, nice and crusty on the outside and then lovely and fluffy in the middle. It's making me hungry just talking about it.
  5. It's going well I think, though I've gonna through a rough patch recently with a b it of a goal drought, though two in the last game against Halifax was a confidence booster, I'll try and keep this momentum going. Definitely, we've got some top talent along with some really keen young guys that are working on their game and getting better every week. DC Dragons of course, they're the team that had faith in me and drafted me, shout out to the GM @Enorama. Not really got anyone else to be honest, perhaps Minnesota as I did play there for a bit. This may be personal preference but I'd prefer a full "sim thread" with all of the results from each sim so there's more discussion on games as right now you don't tend to get much interaction on indivudal games when they're all split up. Something like just posted each game and the scorers idk. No particular reasons apart from Raleigh Ritchie is a cool name and I really like his music.
  6. Ritchie is just scoring by probability really, shoot enough shots and some will go in.
  7. Then you gonna be eating these L's from us instead ?
  8. Stop lowballing then, should have added a side of chicken strips as well you peasant.
  9. That third period comeback. @ng1291 to steal it.
  10. After a mass exodus of players in San Diego the dust settled to leave two forwards without a team to surround them. Other players had been traded away to various destination but the market was cruel enough to leave both Roadkill Steve and Raleigh Ritchie behind despite their contributions to the Marlins late season surge last year. However the Marlins GM had not settled back on his haunches, content to wait out this season of potential dominance by Saskatoon and he went out to recruit players to add to the team. JaredN , Alex Bridges, and the trio of Guy LaDude, Guy LaGuy and Tickle Mafoot all were signed to the roster. Now with a whole heap of freshmen to tutor the dangerous duo of experienced forwards will have their work cut out for them to mentor and guide the young blood to another playoff appearance. Though it's clear that the offensive burden rests largely on the two's shoulders the Marlins defensive ability will rely on how fast their new additions can adapt to the fast pace of the VHLM
