  1. It's pretty rough, not gonna lie. We really felt this this was out year to go all the way and the series coming that close just makes ir hurt all the more. I mean, there's a lot of stuff, no player can go 7 games without having a whole wealth of things that they could of done better. Taking that shot a bit earlier, tracking your man better, personally I think there were more than a few shots that I should have converted on. Work on defence and skating, it's all just prep for next season and working to become a better player for the team. I'm gonna have to go for Seattle, they had the toughest test so I think they can go all the way now. God, it's hard to pick one out, maybe Boris, he's a consumant professional and seeing that work ethic from a vet is amazing to see, that drive even after so many seasons under his belt is great for motivation. Luck, simple enough. Every championship team needs to get a bit of luck now, that's just how competitive the league is nowadays, looking at the standings you can see how tight the top was and anyone of them could win the cup.

  6. Ok, I got out of London to go stay with my parents which I'm very glad off, having garden and a dog around definitely helps. Wish i brought my PC though, feeling the lack of gaming time a bit, though playing dnd is easing the itch a bit. Playing Magic: the Gathering I don't think there's much on the table for me at the moment so I'm just trying to help the team out where I can, improve my defence and keep my shooting percentage high. Been doing this 500 rep challenge with my parents and the neighbours, you have to do 500 total reps of any combination of exercises like pullups, press ups, chest press etc. Also a few 5ks a week down by the seaside helps get out of the house. Not too close with many people in the VHL so probably Eno i suppose. Don't really follow irl hockey so not sure.

  10. New York being tied for last, they were so close to making the playoffs last season, just missing out and so it's a surprise to see that group of players not faring so well. I think we've faced some strong defences and our goal scoring will return to it's usual form in time. I think they do matter to an extent, it's a measure of a teams overall performance, where post-season success can come and I don't think it's sustainable no, unless the defence keeps a laser focus thorugh the enitre season and that's not too likely. I think it's a great sign of a roster built well, the doors are still open for someone to go nuclear and score a tonne but also if any single player has an off game they can ride the bench for a bit and the rest of the team will carry them through. It takes a lot of pressure of our shoulders knowing our teammates can all produce at a high level. I think @KC15 popcorned his car, he was pretty pissed about that, he said he had toffee smell coming from his air con for weeks.
  11. Post in this thread to claim welfare/pension for this week. If you are claiming welfare/pension, you cannot claim any 6 TPE Point Tasks for this week (Media Spot/Graphic/Podcast) or League jobs paying 6+ TPE. VHL Welfare Plan - Members with fewer than two 700+ TPE players may claim 4 TPE VHL Pension Plan - Members who have created two or more 700+ TPE players (past or present) may claim 5 TPE VHL Affiliate Plan - Members who post a Point Task this week, in either the EFL or SBA, may link to that Point Task to claim 6 TPE Once you reach 700 TPE with your current player, if that is your second player to reach 700, you are allowed to claim the pension plan. So instead of only taking in account previous players it also accounts for your current one. Example: Green has had Remy LeBeau (TPE: 1301) in the past. Thomas O'Malley, his second player, is now past 700 TPE, he is eligible for the VHL Pension Plan. Note: Welfare/Pension Plan are not eligible for Doubles Weeks. Affiliate Plan is only eligible for Donation Doubles.
