  1. "ECN Postgame report" Faster paced game by both teams and loads of opportunities that Saskatoon just couldn't capitalize on and allowed too much offence fly in their own defensive zone. Great game on defensive end by Philadelphia Reapers and we shall surely be seeing this more often. To add - Wendy Kandee Cain did an amazing job as an goaltender for Philly and stopped 28 of 30 shots made! Great job!
  2. S65 Player : John Frostbeard Transaction ID : 742469481L7038903 Reward: Doubles week (March 10th) 5 TPE Uncapped
  3. Aww, Blade, you are the best, truly - You made my day! ?<<<<Blade!
  4. Shhh, that was not important information xD
  5. To add - Kandee Cain is one of the amazing draft steals done by Philadelphia Reapers and our great GM! Great post and it is how it is - Wendy Kandee Cain is superb goalie!
  6. Well then... That is... Interesting...
  7. Oh Hedgehog - you gotta prove me wrong and make your team jump in Standings... Then I will praise your ass...
  8. 1) Davos 2) Vancouver 3) Calgary 4) Riga
  9. ECN on VHL Portal #1 Current situation in VHL As season 65 here is Victory Hockey League is under way we have to look and the games that have happened and check who are our greatest heroes. As always all ECN reports and posts are sponsored and hosted by Frostbeard Entertainment. Let's get on with this then ladies and gentlemen. First off - What a start of season for Vancouver Wolves. Right now leading VHL with 17 points in 9 games played. Their success can be put on shoulders of their amazing first line that consists of Beau Louth, Jake Davis and Jorgon Weyed. With strong support from Samuel Gate they are truly a strong contender to take this years playoffs in a quik sweep. Secondly, we surely have to talk about Veran Dragomir who is leading VHL in goals and points with 21 in 9 games played. That allows his team - Seattle Bears to be strong competition and force to reckon with when playoffs will be just around the corner. Thirdly, how can we not talk about the amazing performance of Brick Wahl from Calgary Wranglers. Even though season for Calgary has not started as they would have liked it, there is surely a hope when your teams backbone is a goalie who is putting up 0.921 Save percentage and 2.75 Goals against average. Suggestion - Both Seattle Bears and New York Americans should talk to their players about discipline as 5 out of 6 people with most Penalty minutes bare their logo. In regular season it might not be important, but when the Playoffs are gonna kick in, it will instantly become their Achilles' Heel. This was information roundup about what is happening in VHL and what we should look out for in the future. This was ECN, hosted and sponsored by Frostbeard Entertainment!
  10. Review of S65 Week One Podcast : Really amazing - lot's of information that and truly professional way how to make it entertaining. RJ Fryman was a superb addition to podcast as both Host and RJ are well versed in VHL current situation. I would suggest to keep this format going and just do the amazing job. Plus, Invite RJ back as soon as possible, host and RJ are having quite a nice chemistry on air that is quite pleasant to listen to. 10/10
  11. Review : First off - this is one of the first Podcasts I have heard and I want this to be a 3 hour podcast as author is magnificent at showing his opinion while driving a car in active traffic. Surely an interesting way how to look at VHLM situation that happened. Simming problems should definitely be addressed. Truly an amazing job and keep up the good work! 10/10
  12. Review - quite an interesting story of young lad that used his families support to push himself to the next level and make his dad proud. One of the things I am quite fond of it that author separated each part of our hero's life into a different paragraph with a title as that allows us to understand the flow of his progression to become an VHLer. Maybe a title on top could have made it pop a bit more. 7/10
  13. Review : Really interesting story of a young man that is not really sure of his life calling, but finds it with the strength of his family. I am quite sure that this young lad is gonna be something in the future. Writing style is very pleasant and easy to read, plus, it allows a reader to be a part of this amazing story. On emotional level biography captures the true feeling of losing someone that is so dear to him. 9/10
  14. What teammate of yours is the best to follow on Twitter, and why? No questions there - gotta be either Mikko Aaltonen, Tyler Barabash Jr or Hans Gruber - those 3 guys are amazing at making your day by posting weirdest stuff ever. If you want quality content - Gotta go with Kandee Cain... 2. What is the most bizarre question you have been asked in a press conference during your career and who asked it? Not sure yet, everything has been quite down to earth.. Let's keep it that way. 3. Who would win an arm wrestling competition on your team? Probably me, tho I haven't tried it, don't feel like broken wrists will help us get that cup. 4. Who is the biggest practical joker on the team and who gets picked on the most? A story of the best prank pulled would be nice. This is a tough question - I do believe our GM is the biggest practical joker as she is wicked smart and knows everything too well. Picked on.. Hmm.. Probably Kandee Cain, I guess that is what you could call a Goalie curse. 5. What is the craziest thing a puck bunny has ever done for your attention? I can't answer that here, public space after all. Plus, this is that Most Bizarre question asked. 6.What was your first car? I don't drive, sorry, always thought that I can trust others to drive me everyone I need to go.
  15. 1st Week VHLM Recap “Future of VHL is right here and now – Playing in VHLM!” After 1st week of 65th season of VHLM we already can see greatness in quite a few players. First off, we should point out that with each week we can find another hidden gem that could rise to the top of VHLM leaderboard. We can not look at greatness in VHLM without looking at the skill and strengths of Yukon’s Hunter Hearst Helmsley. He is leading VHLM with 13 points in 5 games played and is not slowing down. He is showing that his strengths lie in being that Hybrid scorer who is not only having a scoring upside but is able to show off his skills at teammate utilization as well. Only problem right now is – can he lead Yukon Rush to playoffs and show everyone that his team is not only first line show? Amazing Duo from Saskatoon Wild is showing great promise in their scoring potential as Saskatoon is the only team with 2 players having over 2 points per game in VHLM right now – Shawnomir Jagr and Nethila Dissanayake respectively. Two amazing players with similar play styles. Both can put up goals and be playmakers at the same time and added to that they both are heavy hitters as they are having over 2 hits per game. This combo is going to be fierce and deadly when players will be worn out at the end of the season. Will Saskatoon Wild have a chance to compete for the top price, goal of any VHLM player – to win playoffs and take the trophy home with them? There are not many goal scorers in VHLM this season that are at least goal-a-game, but there surely are two who both bare the same fearful name of being Philadelphia Reapers. Both Brian Strong and Mikko Aaltonen are showing that they not only are here to stay and wreak havoc on to others, but that they both are making a mark and showing that even though Philadelphia was not a frontrunner in anyone’s prediction to be dominant in VHLM S65, they will pack a huge punch and show doubters what they are made off. VHLM standings after 1st week shows quite an interesting situation where both expansion teams – Philadelphia Reapers and Houston Bulls right now are in a playoff spot. Even though that is quite impressive, we must take in to account that season started just a week ago and everything is subject to change. We cannot really talk about standing of VHLM right now without mentioning the league leading Las Vegas Aces that has started the season being completely on fire! After 5 games played, they have won all 5 and are dominating everyone that get’s in their way. Who knows – maybe they just haven’t met their match yet...? Thanks for stopping by and reading this – we are always here to provide most important information in a friendly way! Yours European Cable News and Frostbeard Entertainment!
  16. Philadelphia: Home to the next VHLM Dynasty? Those who are actively following team developments of VHLM should clearly seen that growth that is happening in VHLM’s expansion franchise Philadelphia Reapers is quite amazing, lots of young guys like Hans Gruber, Mikko Aaltonen, Charlie Paddywagon, Wendy Kandee Cain will be showing off their strengths here in Minors and hopefully they will be able to succeed. Philadelphia Reapers Management has done an amazing job to keep the team growing and not slow down, providing anything from necessary counseling to extra training sessions under experienced and league wide recognized coaching staff. At the start of the season they will probably need some time to adjust their play and get to know everyone on the ice, but it should take almost no time for everyone to become a true household name in VHLM and VHL in the future. Asking what does John Frostbeard (RW, age 19, Latvia) think of their chances, he responded :”I truly believe we have a chance to do an impact and show others that we are not only a squad of great potential, but we are true competitors too that will not give up and will show out best on and off the ice!”
  17. If there still is a chance to join - I would gladly do that
  18. John Frostbeard and Philadelphia Reapers 1# Fitting in Ladies and gentlemen, this is John’s experience of VHLM and how easy it is to fit in an Expansion team. As we all already know, for S65 there are 2 new teams joining VHLM – Philadelphia Reapers and Houston Bulls, so showing how to try fit in something that building up right there and now is important as a lot of young guns will be in the same situation in future. Would like to point out, that coming across Atlantic and jumping in something you haven’t experienced previously is on one side exciting and on the other terrifying too. Coming over to a city like Philadelphia can be a struggle on its own, but for a guy, who is not so strong in other languages that Latvian can really be stressful. My first suggestion to anyone here, who is facing similar situation is to BE INVOLVED. Don’t sit back and hope for the best, talk to people, enjoy your time – if you have questions – ask them and try not to be super shy as you will face not only lots of media attention in future years, but you will find yourself as an outsider in this league. It is fine, if you can cope with that for many seasons, but, the best option is to allow your GM, your team leaders to be there for you and help you. Second suggestion comes with a bit of backstory. When it comes down to coming here to VHL and VHLM, people might have told you how everything is and how everything works from their own experience, but that can be misleading, try to figure out what you really want to achieve with your career – do you want to be a solid role player that “gets the job done” or you want to be future HoF Superstar. This can be taken to Frostbeard’s experience, when he was deciding what league might be the best for him – one of his childhood friends was pushing an idea that he has to go to VHL and VHLM as there is no other option, he was told that this league will instantly make you a superstar that will be known everywhere, but in reality – you have to figure out your path to greatness yourself and even though, some experienced teammates can help you along the way – it is your path and yours alone. Third suggestion is quite simple – follow your gut. If you feel you are doing something right – DO IT! Just enjoy your career as it doesn’t last forever and remember that even though this is your job, this is a game you can enjoy too! Personally, as a foreigner here is Philadelphia, I would personally like to thank my super amazing GM BladeMaiden, she has helped me so much with providing courage and being there for everyone! And to all amazing and supportive teammates and team personnel. John wishes everyone the best of time this season and hopefully we all can enjoy our time on ice against each other! Good luck and I hope you will not have to play against Reapers!
  19. 1) The draft is over, the signings have settled down, and the VHLM is just about ready to get things started. Who do you think is the favorite, going into this season? 2) With teams filling up this quickly, further expansion of the VHLM might be a potential talking point. Where would you put another minors team? 3) The offseason's ending- what's your player's plan to get back in shape for game 1? 4) Do you/your player have any preseason superstitions to help boost their performance? 5) Now that you've had time to get used to your team, who's been your favorite teammate thus far? 6) If the commissioners/GMs could do one thing to make your VHLM experience more fun, what would it be? 1 - Well, there are surely quite a few amazing teams in VHLM this season and quite frankly I don't think we can arrange them from the best to worst. For me personally, I would look out from those Expansion teams as they are wicked and can pack a punch even tho they are new. 2 - League is in need to conquer more of the US West coast market and probably somewhere in Southern USA too - it is important that we are able to have fans everywhere! 3 - Beer and crackers? I mean, I am always in shape, I am Latvian after all - have you ever seen a "not-in-shape" Latvian? 4 - Yup, gotta eat loads of hotdogs and cookies as that is the only way how I can boost my morale. 5 - Well, this is like hitting a person in a groin, I can't really answer that without getting a black eye in the next practice.. That was a joke of course.. 6 - To be honest, I am not sure, as I am a true latecomer in VHLM, I feel like I would need at least an extra 3 weeks to really understand what is up and what changes could be made there.
