Last week started like many others for me.  Wake up, check VHL forum for that red notification in the top right, catch up on discord for VHL chats and the begin my day of feeding dogs, getting daughter off to school, and going to work.  
 
However, last week I was blessed (and cursed) with a red notification ping for an article writing by real life friend and VHL rival @Thunder.  For those that don’t know Thunder had a hall of fame career with defenseman, Jake Thunder.  But during his final season he stepped away (like a bitch) and was constantly bombarded with texts from me about when he would return.  
 
I had almost given up hope when I read his poorly crafted article comparing my current player, Logan Ninefingers, to his favorite player (and my most hated) Brad Marchand.  Despite being the brunt the article I was excited that Thunder is back in the league with another defender.  He is a huge asset to any team he is on and great for the league as whole.  Plus, we can both agree it gives us something to write about each week for TPE.  
 
Anyway, WELCOME BACK THUNDER, I look forward to facing off against you in the show and/or playing on the same club someday.

Finally! 

After 26 long seasons and far too many trips to the final I can finally lift the continental cup again! And honestly what a fucking series and what an amazing group of people to do it with. I don’t recall if I’ve ever captained a continental cup team but I’m exceptionally glad to have been able to lead this group.
 
London, big GG here. You guys had an amazing run when honestly I don’t think anyone even saw you beating Malmo let alone stretching it out to game 7 of the cup final. You had me worried as hell after the first 2 haha.

Amazing way to turn around the series after a truly terrible start. We’re down to a best of 3 now!

Goalies are having historic seasons with crazy numbers, no?

Hello, Mr. Ironhide, I am Jeremy Radclaw from Drawn Sports Magazine, we have heard that after Helsinki lost their playoff series against London, you decided to absolutely cut all ties with your fellow players and have not engaged with them since then - is it true?

Listen ya cupcake eatin' squigg,  Grimgor does what he wants, if I want to go and pillage a village somewhere, I do that, if I want to eat a massive fruit pie every day, I do dat, if I want to go and sleep and cry in my sleep while waiting for a price to come and rescue me, I do that. Ya not da boss of me. I am not happy, terrible performance by me, I should play better so all can see my true potential. Waaaagh, I am so angry I could break you in half and eat you like a popsicle on a hot winter's day ya squigg hugger! 
 
All I want is to play some big games, get many points and be da best of da class in numbers. Dat is not hard to imagine, especially for a brainy guy like you! I have never felt this feeling - some called it pain of losing, I call it my biggest weakness, I feel so puny and weak, almost like I never existed. It is sad but it also fills me with unimaginable rage to go and make sure everyone knows how big and strong Grimgor Ironhide really is. WAAAGH!
 
Sir, before you leave, I have one more intricate question, journalist asks Grimgor as he slowly turns to them with a strong and fierce smile on their face, as if he was insulted by the weakest gobbo of Skarsniks raiding party. Do you sir know how to bake a Latvian cake? 
 
Grimgor's smile suddenly turns from having a deep and horrifying visage to a warm, welcoming, almost your had-grandmother type of a smile, warm, likable but still worrisome.

It is very tough to get the dough flour to work as you don't have any dragon blood available for quick yeast activation. No matter what, be smart, get quality non powder milk."
