As some of you may have seen, ive gotten really inactive in both VHL and EFL. I love the VHL and wanna stay a part of it, but im one of the leagues youngest, and with school coming up and everything else, I dont know what's happened to me tbh with you all. I might come back some time later in life if I still remember it, but now isnt the time for me. Im just as shocked as everyone else that im writing this, but this 9 month journey with you all must come to an end for now. Goodbye VHL, love yall! ❤️

Another review for another Willie Dredge sig.

This one is really, really slick.

Nice touch cropping the bottom part with the logo off, and the Gaudreau in the background with the logo swap is points.  The Dredge signature layered above with just the right opacity is perfection.  I feel like the background is maybe too faded?  It feels too far away in the background.  Less fade and a touch more color would make the whole graphic pop as a piece, rather than focusing too much on the centerpiece.

    This is solid 9.5/10

Simple and clean af, very effective!

Speed reacted to Quik in Weekly TPE Cap Changes
    Hey everyone,

So, I'm guessing the title of this announcement has probably got you wondering what the hell I'm talking about with weekly TPE Cap changes. It's nothing as radical as it sounds, just some minor alterations to how things work, going into effect on Monday, August 10th.

As you may recall, last year we implemented a cap of 6 TPE on secondary PTs. This will remain in effect, however, the total Weekly TPE Cap will now be based 100% on the Primary PT that is completed. In essence, while the Cap will begin at 12, it will be adjusted down to 10, or 11, if you claim VHL Welfare or VHL Pension, respectively.

The portal will automatically handle any adjustments on overall Cap, whereby claiming welfare or pension will automatically lower your potential claims for the week. If you have already claimed secondary TPE, before claiming welfare/pension, the portal will adjust the welfare/pension claim to meet the correct Cap for that week.

    Weekly TPE Cap Deciders:
12 TPE Cap: Media Spot, Graphic, Podcast, Affiliate Welfare, Job Pay (6+)
11 TPE Cap: VHL Pension Plan
10 TPE Cap: VHL Welfare Plan

As part of the changes, anyone may now claim welfare/pension in any given week, including those with a PT-replacing Job (with the exception of VSN, as their pay is considered a PT+job pay), but will be subject to the limits of a lowered weekly Cap.

    1.  Similar to S72, Calgary is almost unbeatable at home. The difference is how disastrous on the road they have been.  (HOME 10-1-1) , (AWAY 4-9-1) Why is Calgary so bad on the road so far ?
I overheard that it may be a result of opposing teams delivering strippers to our hotel the night before games. I don't think its true but at the same time it's really weird that strippers keep showing up at my hotel room..
    2.  The Wranglers obvious weakness through 26 games, has been their lack of goals for.  Calgary has 70 GF , which ranks 14th overall.  How does your team start scoring more goals going forward ?
Switch up the lines until we find a spark.
    3.  Which VHL team has surprised you the most so far this season ?
Prague. My old team seems to be playing well this season, hope they can keep it up (unless it is against us)
    4.  If the wranglers go on a big winning streak, are you going to change your lucky underwear ?
Wait, you guys are wearing underwear?!?!
    5.  Which one of your teammates has the worst diet during the season ?
Definitely Zod, being a supervillain must be stressful, he eats like shit. But i guess he keeps his figure anyhow so whatever.
    6.  what European team do you predict makes it all the way to the Cup finals ?
I would like to see Prague do some damage this season, why not.

Hey this looks really slick, I'm gonna review it!

Right off the bat, -1 for no logo swap.  Although he plays for Calgary, would have been cool to see a Wranglers logo.

The fonts used are just a really nice touch!!  Clear, proper color use and that nicely sized diagonal positioning really draw attention to it.  That shadow effect behind it really pushes it to the foreground.  What a captivating effect!

That fading background is very classy, and not too much attention is brought to it, the added detail towards the top and corners add the flavoring to make it that much classier.  The red detail could probably have used a companion color, like a more opaque lighter shade of red, or simply white or a shade of grey to break the red and black tone of the signature.

    Overall, great job!
    8.5/10

This is a solid signature! You've got your textured background and I really enjoy the contrasting color scheme you got going with the render and backgrounds. Really liking the placement of renders and text, and I think you definitely chose a great font for this graphic. If I must nitpick, the top render could be clearer as there seems to be a lot of size scale distortion on it, but for the first graphic you nailed it my man, couldn't do much better myself on my first! Great job bro. Review 8.5/10

Sigs looking good, first thing that pops out to me is the very subtle but noticeable effects and textures that are going on. I love the placement of blur effects, definitely nailed it in that aspect. You can clearly see the name and text even with the effects which I believe adds even more to the signature, along with the addition of the dots, can't really say why I like them but I know for sure that they add some depth to the image in my opinion, and it seems to be a recurring theme for your sigs so good on ya. Solid clear sig that is easy on the eyes yet retains dramatic effects, can't get much better than that. Review 9.5/10

    1. The Toronto Legion forced the first series to 7 games. Going into game 7 how confident were you that the Wranglers would come out victorious ?
We came out victorious, had no doubts in my mind.
    2. Which Calgary Wrangler player has been your playoff MVP so far ?
Gunnar is stepping up to the plate.
    4. It is never good to look ahead but lets say you find a way to beat New York. You have Riga waiting for you in the finals. How well do think Calgary would match up vs Riga ?
I think Riga v Calgary is going to be fast paced and full of offense. Better defense wins.
    5. Why has Home ice been so crucial for the S72 Calgary Wranglers ?   regular season ( 29-4-3) , current playoffs (4-1-0)
Calgary gets loud, when we step out on the ice the place is intimidating for the other team.
    6. Do you do yoga as part of your daily training ?
    Nope, just the doobie.
    7. When on the road in New York what hotel do you wish The Wranglers stayed at ?
I was hoping we would stay at the nicest hotel they had, but they stuck us in the motel. Assholes.

S72 Continental Cup Final Preview: Riga Reign vs Calgary Wranglers

This season’s finals will be the Calgary Wranglers (8-5-1) against the Riga Reign (8-0-0). Riga won the regular-season series against Calgary, winning 3 out of 5 games between the two teams.

    Riga Storylines:

Riga comes into this series having taken an easy road so far through the European Conference. Dominating their opponents with two sweeps so far in the playoffs. They are led by Apollo Hackett (@Renomitsu) who has 13 points in 8 playoff games so far and is 2nd in the league with 12 assists this postseason. They also have Pengu (@Pengu) who is tied for 3rd in the league in goals this postseason, notching 6 in 8 games thus far. However, the X-Factor in this series will be the play of Riga’s goaltender, Greg Eagles (@Greg_Di). His performance so far this postseason has been one for the ages, going 8-0 with 2.12 goals-against average and a stellar 0.931 save percentage. He will certainly be tough to beat in this series if he can keep this level of play up and can absolutely steal a game if need be.

    Calgary Storylines:

The North American conference champion Calgary Wranglers had a much different path to the finals. They had two amazing series. Pushing both Toronto and New York to seven games and taking both series. Calgary’s offensive firepower this postseason shows, scoring 43 goals in the first 14 games this postseason, scoring an average of 3.07 goals per game through the first two rounds. They are led offensively by Sigard Gunnar (@Big Mac), who leads the league in both goals and points this postseason with 10 goals and 17 points. Fellow Calgary teammates Kris Rice (@Ricer13) and Willie Dredge (@Speed) are both tied for 2nd in goals with 7 goals each. The Wranglers also have Edwin THE Encarnacion (@Tagger) who leads the league in assists with 13 and fellow Wrangler Charlie Paddywagon (@DMaximus) who is right behind him with 12 assists. Calgary’s goaltender, Jacques Lafontaine (@SlapshotDragon) also has incredible numbers this postseason, going 8-5-1 in 14 games through the first two rounds with a 2.93 goals-against average and a 0.916 save percentage. However, Lafontaine has played great in seventh games this postseason. In seventh games against Toronto and New York, Lafontaine went 2-0 with a 2.50 goals-against average and a 0.918 save percentage. Lafontaine will be a big factor in this series for Calgary.

    Patrik’s Prediction:

Even though Riga has been perfect through the first two rounds, I don’t think they will stay perfect through the finals. This will be a fast-paced series with high scoring games and a lot of hitting, but I think Calgary will take it. This series will certainly go to 6 or 7 games, but Calgary has been going the distance all postseason long and they know how to handle elimination games. This series could easily go either way. Riga will certainly not go down without a fight and this series will come down to the wire, but the play of both the goaltenders will be the deciding factor and Lafontaine has been great in elimination games thus far in the playoffs, so I see Calgary taking it in 7 games.

    Calgary Wranglers
    Press Conference

    1. Another week has passed. The Wranglers have been on an incredible run, going (11-3-2 ) since our last press conference. What is needed to continue winning at this rate ?
Just keep playing the way were playing, it shouldn't be that hard to maintain this pace especially with this group of players.
    2. Your season record has improved to (33-12-5). This pace would have the Wranglers finish with 48 wins.  Would this surpass your expectations ?
It seems about right, this team is too stacked to afford lower expectations.
    3. Even tho you have been winning a lot of games, Seattle has stayed within a point from you. Tuesday Calgary and Seattle play each other twice. What are your score predictions for those two games?
I think Calgary takes two wins, one in OT/SO.
    4. What are your thoughts on the newly announced expansion?
I think it's great. Shows that the league is expanding and new players aren't just leaving after a brief stay.
    5. What expansion team city and logo do you like the best ?
London United looks alright, but that LA logo is honestly a letdown...
    6. Outside the VHL the NHL is getting closer to beginning its playoffs. What NHL team will you root for ?
Since the sharks are out I'll probably root for Pavelski and Dallas to get a cup.
  24. Cheers

Hello! One thing that sticks out to me that I like is the font you chose and the differing fonts for first/last name, as well as the placement of the first name. I think it is well done and adds to the graphic. Where I think this graphic needs improvement is in the background and details. The glow and saturation effects are overpowering, best left to more subtle usage. Not bad concepts though, and definitely room to grow with the ideas coming through this graphic.
