Sorry I read, "Sasakamoose" @Cxsquared as Saskatoon and probably got lost a bit, it happens quite a bit. AGM for the Saskatoon Wild here, a bit confused, but while I am here fire away! 1. The Hounds committed themselves to buying this week, spending two picks in S70 for defenseman Finnegan MacBurn. Is this a good move? Do we have what it takes to win it all? I would love to see that, but Houston is looking scary as hell. It would be great to see you two in the finals though. 2. Speculation about team management has escalated this week, with @GlowyGoat making his nickname "berocka is a racist" and "gustav is a stalinist" on a couple separate occasions. Who's a bigger concern, myself or @berocka? Who gets overthrown first? I heard @ColeMrtz slept with Objectivism: The Philosophy of Ayn Rand under his pillow. 3. Which team would the Hounds beat easily in the playoffs? Mexico City would probably be perfect for the first round, after that I think it will be tougher but that you have a great chance at making the finals. 4. Which team would you least want us to face in the playoffs? As above, a Houston Bulls final would rock. Being a former Bulls player myself I am a bit biased here, but if you manage to win that series that would be something. 5. You have to describe hockey to someone unfamiliar with the sport in 10 words or fewer. What do you say? Keep your stick on the ice. D*** in a vice? 6. Pick any VHL player whose build you'd like to emulate and tell me who it is and why (if you don't know your VHL players, now is the time to do some research!). The build process seems like magic, people doing incantations. Power forwards with 99 in DF, what?! So I have started to totally ignore that for my son (Fredrik who plays in New York), he only goes by what is prudent for his position (luckily he's a defender, so lots of DF makes sense). If I could add something that I don't see too much of - maybe the consensus is that it doesn't help, but ST, many players with just 40 in ST.... and at some level I hope it would help with being checked or keeping the puck with your PH. Anyway, thank you for this opportunity, I need to find my way back to Saskatoon somehow, see if my Uber-driver is up for going there.

For the week ending October 6th. The weeks go by quickly. We're not last in the league, but deep in the rhubarb. Sun is rising though, hopefully for end of season and definitely for the start of the next (next season looks to have great potential I think). Six questions, two TPE. 1. A few weeks ago there was an article about shortening the season by one week, but double the TPE for one week, would that be prudent amd something you'd like to see? 2. What song do you put on in the locker room ahead of a game? (links are fine :)) 3. Any specific player you want to play with on our current roster, or someone you wished played on Saskatoon? 4. If you held the press conference, which is the one burning question you would ask? 5. With Telkster and Jokinen leaving, but with the amount of picks we have for next season, how are you feeling about your future in Saskatoon Wild and the team at large? 6. The 250 TPE change was a pretty big one, how do you think it will affect you and/or the team and VHLM?

Americans are a powerhouse waiting to happen with all this young talent.

Sad we lost Tates pre-season from Wild, hope Aces do well for him. Nice to see my former teammates Stiopic and Stava on that list, Houston looks really hot this season.

Good article, and you have trashed us in Saskatoon lately. Still I feel obligated.

Join at least one of the live streams, and maybe join up with a player next "season". I knew just the bare minimum when I joined, but Berocka explains it well during commenting, and whenever I have a question I just put it into chat and it gets explained. It's a sport that has grown on me.

Went through the lines with my GM @Peace and we then capped it off with maybe one too many beers. @Tate called in the morning, I always love speaking to him but he keeps waking me up. He was doing quite well in Riga and told me New York should watch out, I had to remind him that it's my son who is at the Americans, my life is dedicated to Saskatoon. @Dalton Wilcox also called and wondered if I knew where @Elmebeck was, he sounded drunk, I sent Fred an SMS to get in contact with him. Kids... and what I wouldn't do to be young again. Dear diary, Tuesday Sept 24th @Steve from Associated Hockey Press keeps hiding in the bushes with his camera. I hate the damned paparazzi! Why are they even interested in me? Last I saw his name he was selling nude pics on eBay for $10 a piece. I believe some were of him in a mirror. Dear diary, Wednesday Sept 25th This week we had to trade two players. It may have been the hardest thing I have done in my life. Such good kids. But if we hadn't they would have left us anyway at the end of the season so it made more sense to get something out of it. Got a nice kid from Houston and two picks. They'll probably be better off though, Houston Bulls are looking really good, and this will give Telkers and Jokinen a great chance at a cup before going to VHL with @FrostBeard. When my son was at Houston I remember him talking very fondly about how the organization was run there, so I don't feel bad about the trade in that respect, but it's always hard to see good players leave your locker room. Dear diary, Thursday Sept 26th Got to put in new lines, but unclear when our next game is. I do realize the head office at VHLM is loaded with work, but it's sometimes hard when you don't know when to roll up the bus. Dear diary, Friday Sept 27th @Peace called me to apply as World Junior Championship GM. I am not entierly sure how to react to that. I hardly got our lines settled and now he wants me to run a tournament team? The upside would be that I can probably draft my son to the team, it would be nice to try to win the WJC as a father-son duo. Looking at the available players I think Europe should be able to do pretty well. The league is naturally a bit dominated by Canadians and Americans, but we have loads of promising players from Europe both in the VHLM and VHL. I think I will apply at least, I seem to have the support of a handful of people at least. This whole season has been kind of spectacular to be honest. My son doing so well last year and me going from a small town in the outbacks of Sweden all to the outbacks of Canada! What joy, what progress! I can't wait for what tomorrow brings. I'll put my hat in the ring for consideration. Team Europe makes sense to me. I only have a few weeks of AGM experience in Saskatoon yet, but @Peace has let me submit lines (though, then we traded players, so new lines for next week I guess). If chosen I will take on the task just as I have ran my player and my duties as AGM in Saskatoon Wild (always bold ), with full vigor!

I am the Assistant GM to Saskatoon Wild, and as you have missed the draft you're eligible as a free agent (waiver claim) and can listen to offers from teams interested in signing you. (I was in same position as you during my first season, and I can tell you from experience that it's better to be able to choose your destiny, and that is the freedom you are now offered. ) Here at the Saskatoon Wild (situated in a small town with about 1/4th of the population of the whole of Saskatchewan) we're still building up our roster for the ongoing season, and even though we will probably not finish top of the league standings at the end of the season, I believe that with your addition to Saskatoon we have a chabce to reach the playoffs! I would invite you to also consider Saskatoon when you make your decision. We're kind of at the bottom of the league, but an active goalie would change that.
