Well, another trade deadline has passed, meaning all new creates and recreates will be entering the season 76 draft class.  Looking at this list and speaking for myself (and perhaps you've noticed as well), there's something crazy about this draft class that I haven't seen since I joined (regularly) in Spring of 2020.
 
If you haven't noticed, I'll tell ya...
 
OVER THREE-HUNDRED NEW CREATES/RECREATES
 
Yeah, you read/saw that right.  Currently in the VHLM, some teams are playing 4th liners.  That's how far the VHL has come and it's a testament to the solid and continued effort of recruitment, word-of-mouth, advertising (shameless plugs, wherever those are), it's been ridiculous how many new folks have shown an interest.  It's up to the VHLM management teams and dudes like myself to help with retention, and so far I personally believe it's paying off.  
 
Ok so we got the warm and fuzzy feels outta da way, here's the big question mark:
 
VHL Draft is: Four rounds, 16 picks per round.  That's 64 selections to be made into VHL prospects.
...that's roughly 20% of draft eligible players getting their name called...
 
I don't know what happens in instances like this, but I'm sure things will sort themselves out.
 
I'll provide a brief First Round semi-kinda mock draft thing here.  For everyone that doesn't know the VHL Draft rules, there's a rule that a GM player can reserve his player for his team.  It must be a first round selection, and he must have a pick in the first round.  If he created a player and wants to draft him, but he traded his first round pick away, he cannot make the reservation, unless he falls into his lap in the second round.
 
Three of the TOP 5 selections are GM players:
 
Taro Tsujimoto @GustavMattias will likely not be the 1st overall pick, as he will be reserved for the HC Davos Dynamo club.  Muffbeav @.sniffuM might go 1st overall to Warsaw if they finish last.  He may or may not reserve the player in this case if he's feeling lucky. Sirkants Klamasteris @hedgehog337 will most likely be reserved for the Riga Reign.  He may not.  What do I know?  I'm just speculating.  
Trade scenarios during the end of the post-season and at the draft are very possible, some GMs try to trade down when they have a reserved pick to get some extra assets for their club.  If you want an example, go check out the S73 Draft Class, where the (arguably) top TPE earner was Malmo GMs Marshall James Frostbeard, who was drafted 16th overall, the final pick of the first round.
 
Check out the (MASSIVE) season 75 draft class below.  Some players have their dates highlighted in orange and some red.  Orange means they haven't updated in two weeks, Red meaning no progression for over two weeks.  These players will likely fall, meaning if you're in a good spot to be selected..

Well, another trade deadline has passed, meaning all new creates and recreates will be entering the season 76 draft class.  Looking at this list and speaking for myself (and perhaps you've noticed as well), there's something crazy about this draft class that I haven't seen since I joined (regularly) in Spring of 2020.
 
If you haven't noticed, I'll tell ya...
 
OVER THREE-HUNDRED NEW CREATES/RECREATES
 
Yeah, you read/saw that right.  Currently in the VHLM, some teams are playing 4th liners.  That's how far the VHL has come and it's a testament to the solid and continued effort of recruitment, word-of-mouth, advertising (shameless plugs, wherever those are), it's been ridiculous how many new folks have shown an interest.  It's up to the VHLM management teams and dudes like myself to help with retention, and so far I personally believe it's paying off.  
 
Ok so we got the warm and fuzzy feels outta da way, here's the big question mark:
 
VHL Draft is: Four rounds, 16 picks per round.  That's 64 selections to be made into VHL prospects.
...that's roughly 20% of draft eligible players getting their name called...
 
I don't know what happens in instances like this, but I'm sure things will sort themselves out.
 
I'll provide a brief First Round semi-kinda mock draft thing here.  For everyone that doesn't know the VHL Draft rules, there's a rule that a GM player can reserve his player for his team.  It must be a first round selection, and he must have a pick in the first round.  If he created a player and wants to draft him, but he traded his first round pick away, he cannot make the reservation, unless he falls into his lap in the second round.
 
Three of the TOP 5 selections are GM players:
 
Taro Tsujimoto @GustavMattias will likely not be the 1st overall pick, as he will be reserved for the HC Davos Dynamo club.  Muffbeav @.sniffuM might go 1st overall to Warsaw if they finish last.  He may or may not reserve the player in this case if he's feeling lucky. Sirkants Klamasteris @hedgehog337 will most likely be reserved for the Riga Reign.  He may not.  What do I know?  I'm just speculating.  
Trade scenarios during the end of the post-season and at the draft are very possible, some GMs try to trade down when they have a reserved pick to get some extra assets for their club.  If you want an example, go check out the S73 Draft Class, where the (arguably) top TPE earner was Malmo GMs Marshall James Frostbeard, who was drafted 16th overall, the final pick of the first round.
 
Check out the (MASSIVE) season 75 draft class below.  Some players have their dates highlighted in orange and some red.  Orange means they haven't updated in two weeks, Red meaning no progression for over two weeks.  These players will likely fall, meaning if you're in a good spot to be selected..

Well, another trade deadline has passed, meaning all new creates and recreates will be entering the season 76 draft class.  Looking at this list and speaking for myself (and perhaps you've noticed as well), there's something crazy about this draft class that I haven't seen since I joined (regularly) in Spring of 2020.
 
If you haven't noticed, I'll tell ya...
 
OVER THREE-HUNDRED NEW CREATES/RECREATES
 
Yeah, you read/saw that right.  Currently in the VHLM, some teams are playing 4th liners.  That's how far the VHL has come and it's a testament to the solid and continued effort of recruitment, word-of-mouth, advertising (shameless plugs, wherever those are), it's been ridiculous how many new folks have shown an interest.  It's up to the VHLM management teams and dudes like myself to help with retention, and so far I personally believe it's paying off.  
 
Ok so we got the warm and fuzzy feels outta da way, here's the big question mark:
 
VHL Draft is: Four rounds, 16 picks per round.  That's 64 selections to be made into VHL prospects.
...that's roughly 20% of draft eligible players getting their name called...
 
I don't know what happens in instances like this, but I'm sure things will sort themselves out.
 
I'll provide a brief First Round semi-kinda mock draft thing here.  For everyone that doesn't know the VHL Draft rules, there's a rule that a GM player can reserve his player for his team.  It must be a first round selection, and he must have a pick in the first round.  If he created a player and wants to draft him, but he traded his first round pick away, he cannot make the reservation, unless he falls into his lap in the second round.
 
Three of the TOP 5 selections are GM players:
 
Taro Tsujimoto @GustavMattias will likely not be the 1st overall pick, as he will be reserved for the HC Davos Dynamo club.  Muffbeav @.sniffuM might go 1st overall to Warsaw if they finish last.  He may or may not reserve the player in this case if he's feeling lucky. Sirkants Klamasteris @hedgehog337 will most likely be reserved for the Riga Reign.  He may not.  What do I know?  I'm just speculating.  
Trade scenarios during the end of the post-season and at the draft are very possible, some GMs try to trade down when they have a reserved pick to get some extra assets for their club.  If you want an example, go check out the S73 Draft Class, where the (arguably) top TPE earner was Malmo GMs Marshall James Frostbeard, who was drafted 16th overall, the final pick of the first round.
 
Check out the (MASSIVE) season 75 draft class below.  Some players have their dates highlighted in orange and some red.  Orange means they haven't updated in two weeks, Red meaning no progression for over two weeks.  These players will likely fall, meaning if you're in a good spot to be selected..

Well, another trade deadline has passed, meaning all new creates and recreates will be entering the season 76 draft class.  Looking at this list and speaking for myself (and perhaps you've noticed as well), there's something crazy about this draft class that I haven't seen since I joined (regularly) in Spring of 2020.
 
If you haven't noticed, I'll tell ya...
 
OVER THREE-HUNDRED NEW CREATES/RECREATES
 
Yeah, you read/saw that right.  Currently in the VHLM, some teams are playing 4th liners.  That's how far the VHL has come and it's a testament to the solid and continued effort of recruitment, word-of-mouth, advertising (shameless plugs, wherever those are), it's been ridiculous how many new folks have shown an interest.  It's up to the VHLM management teams and dudes like myself to help with retention, and so far I personally believe it's paying off.  
 
Ok so we got the warm and fuzzy feels outta da way, here's the big question mark:
 
VHL Draft is: Four rounds, 16 picks per round.  That's 64 selections to be made into VHL prospects.
...that's roughly 20% of draft eligible players getting their name called...
 
I don't know what happens in instances like this, but I'm sure things will sort themselves out.
 
I'll provide a brief First Round semi-kinda mock draft thing here.  For everyone that doesn't know the VHL Draft rules, there's a rule that a GM player can reserve his player for his team.  It must be a first round selection, and he must have a pick in the first round.  If he created a player and wants to draft him, but he traded his first round pick away, he cannot make the reservation, unless he falls into his lap in the second round.
 
Three of the TOP 5 selections are GM players:
 
Taro Tsujimoto @GustavMattias will likely not be the 1st overall pick, as he will be reserved for the HC Davos Dynamo club.  Muffbeav @.sniffuM might go 1st overall to Warsaw if they finish last.  He may or may not reserve the player in this case if he's feeling lucky. Sirkants Klamasteris @hedgehog337 will most likely be reserved for the Riga Reign.  He may not.  What do I know?  I'm just speculating.  
Trade scenarios during the end of the post-season and at the draft are very possible, some GMs try to trade down when they have a reserved pick to get some extra assets for their club.  If you want an example, go check out the S73 Draft Class, where the (arguably) top TPE earner was Malmo GMs Marshall James Frostbeard, who was drafted 16th overall, the final pick of the first round.
 
Check out the (MASSIVE) season 75 draft class below.  Some players have their dates highlighted in orange and some red.  Orange means they haven't updated in two weeks, Red meaning no progression for over two weeks.  These players will likely fall, meaning if you're in a good spot to be selected..

Overview
Cabe McJake is a shifty agile sniper who plays for the Miami Maraurders in the VHLM. With a small sample size Cabe has been relatively quiet scoring 0 points in his first two games with the team with a Plus/Minus of -1. However, this shouldn't raise any concerns since he has still managed to be involved with shots on goal meaning its only a matter of time before he gets on the scoresheet.
 
Pros:
Work Ethic: Due to his well known severe ADD, Cabe has an obsession with improving his skills on the ice. Having only gone as far as senior kindergarten meaning Cabe hasn't had the distraction of academics unlike his peers.
 
Shot: Cabe's shot is well known for the most part because he murdered an 11 year best people accidentally in a game of shinny by shooting a wrist shot at his throat, and also due to the fact he had a 95 mph slapper at the age of 3. He uses his shot mostly on the power play where he will set up the right side for one timers.
 
Skating: Cabe seemes to be able to effortlessly glide across the ice. With acute acceleration and a quick stride Cabe can intimidate defenders into backing off giving him time to utilize his shot from the high slot. Cabe will also tend to glide and he keep his momentum in all zones of the ice allowing him to pick up the puck in stride and attack defenders, rumor has it he does this because he still hasn't learned how to properly stop yet. Cabe's skating ability is compared mostly to the likes of Erik karlsson for the fact he also can't skate backwards.
 
Hands: Cabe also has posseses quick hands which he uses often when on the powerplay and on the rush. Cabe is able to operate in tight spaces using his stickhandling ability to get out of tough situations.
 
Cons:
Leadership: Unfortunately, due to his mental retardation Cabe is not able to communicate effectively with his teammates. In fact he can't communicate with his teammates at all since the only language he even came close to learning was Gaelic. Because of this his linemates are forced to simply play off what he does as they have no idea what he's planning to do. This also makes him completely uncoachable due to the fact that even with a translator, Cabe is only able to speak complete gibberish.
 
Discipline: Cabe has absolutely no idea how to control himself. He frequently reacts in rage and anger after being scored on or defeated which he typically takes out on team staff. In the last two years Cabe is responsible for the deaths of several stick boys, equipment managers and even assistant coaches. Despite this Cabe has never been convicted for any of his offences since he's able to use his star sign as an excuse for his impulsive behavior in a court of law.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Blake Campbell is a name that everyone knows in Seattle. He's the legendary GM that is breaking records and was once a pretty damn good goalie for the Stockholm Vikings and New York Americans who happened to win a Shaw and Continental cup as a player (and 5 as a GM). The name Isabella Campbell, though, may be a little less of a household name unless you're a Seattle Bears fan. I'm sure a strong VHL fan will know who she is, but again, she's been a little quieter this season due to her role and skill on the Seattle Bears team. As she graduated from the VHLM, she did so extremely well as she left behind a Houston Bulls team that was proud of how she played and what she brought to the team. She had a fairly strong season with the team and while they came up short in the playoffs, she still had a hell of a time. Graduating into the VHL is an amazing, special moment for every single player but for her, she's going up to the Bears. A place where her father has so much history. He's a legend. Will this help her? Will this excite her? Will she feel like she's playing in his shadow or will the pressure become too much? This season, she's performing a little lower than scouts had her playing. She has 9 goals, 8 assists for a total of 17 points in I believe 49 games played. Scouting had her sitting at 28 points by this time. Even when you say that out loud, was that a little high? Take a look around the league right now and a lot of players are playing above her who arguably either don't have as much skill, are the same skill, or are only slightly above her level. As the season progresses, it's rumored that her role is largely going to increase and she's even going to be taking over the 2nd line center role. This evidently became more clear when the team traded out the wonderful loyalist known as Ola Vikingstad, the champion who betrayed the Bear (Only playing around. Or am I?). Once again, we're brought back to her shadow and the pressure of performing (or lack there of). With us now, Isabella Campbell.
 
"Wow, what a way to jump from a story to immediate statement. Uhm, I guess I will touch on everything briefly and then carry on with my day. I don't have too much to say but playing with Seattle, for my father and quote, in his shadow, doesn't really have me afraid of playing the game that I love. It excites me. Seattle is amazing and I get to do it with everyone that I love. That's special to me and I cannot wait to have the season dive deeper. Speaking of that, my play isn't the worst either but I definitely do want to kick it up a notch so that I can help out the team a little bit more. With me transitioning to center, that's going to be going on the back burner for a little bit but for me, that;s okay. I'm here to play my role. I want to win. I'm here for Seattle and they and my teammates will always come first. I'm so excited for the present and future of this team!"

So we see all these Graphics tournaments but we never really see much love for podcasts.

The rosters are set, the teams are preparing, and the players are ready to represent their nation(s) proudly. It’s time for the annual World Junior Championships! Every season, young players from across the globe compete with one another to see which team will take home the gold, silver, and bronze. Last season it was Team USA in a thrilling 3-2 victory over Team Europe; will they be able to recreate their success? Or will another come to take their place? Without further ado, let’s take a look at the teams to see who’s who, what’s what, and which team we at VSN think will take it all. In alphabetic order, here we go:
 
 
    Team Asia

Highest TPA Player: Christian Mingle, 395
 
After having failed to make either of the medal games last WJC, Team Asia will be looking to rebound and improve upon last year’s performance. Led by one of the top players in the competition, there are a lot of expectations for Chicago Phoenix and Israeli player Christian Mingle to perform and bring Team Asia back to the top of the WJC. Asia is led on the defensive line by Korean player Han Jae Kuk, whose pass-first play style should feed beautifully into the offensive threats of the team; both of Mingle’s linemates in Lee Xin and Jeffrenomitsu The 3rd have deadly shots, not to mention Mingle themself, and we are excited to see if these players from vastly different backgrounds can bring it together and fight for a spot on the podium. Emi Rune, despite some late drama regarding their nationality/eligibility, has landed on the correct team representing their home country of Japan, and will provide a real threat feeding into the offense.

Despite being perennial contenders, this season is looking a little rough for Team Canada. They have some great players, but for once their depth is lacking, as they have the lowest average TPA across all teams. Their top player is Moscow winger Remy Moreau. Moreau is a great physical presence, and will be making himself felt on the ice. On the defensive end, Los Angeles Star’s player Mikeal Keef will hold down the fort. A well rounded defenceman, Keef is a lock down performer, whose 118 shots blocked registers 12th overall in the VHL. Canada’s goaltending duties will be split between Kloxified and Jacob Carson, each of which will be looking to continue along the pipeline to top Canadian goaltender. 
 
    Team Europe

If Team Canada is looking the most thin, then it is Team Europe looking stacked. Don’t get me wrong, stranger things have happened and I’m sure this is just going to curse them, but our money is on the Europeans this WJC. All three of their lines are absolutely lethal, and with solid defensive pairings behind them, they have no weak spots. They have one of the top goaltenders backstopping them in Nils Friedriksen to top it off. At the forward position, they are led by a thrilling front-line of Aloe Dear, Venus Thightrap, and Onde Sandstrom; what, did Team Europe GM @LatinViking just take a look at the S74 VHL Entry draft and say “Yup, I’ll take this first round, please and thank you”? Seriously, half of the S74 first round is on this team; 8 of 16. On defense, it is the German Markus Schauer who will be organizing his teammates with an iron fist. A top player, Schauer is as competent keeping the puck out of the net as he is putting them in it. Finally, how could we talk about Team Europe without talking about perhaps the most talented player in the whole tournament; Luke Thornton. Thornton is a two-way threat, who will break you down mentally, physically, and emotionally. More importantly, he will facilitate his high performing teammates with a killer final pass, as his vision and passing ability are probably his best attributes. We look forward to seeing if Team Europe can live up to the hype and take home the gold this season, or if they will crumble under the pressure.

The Americans are looking to field a very competitive team this year. While not the most top heavy team, they have star players leading the line at every position. In net, they have one of the best goaltenders the VHLM has ever seen in John Poremba, while their backup Drew Minott would be in contention for a starting position on other teams. Defense sees some great players, with the likes of Lester Green and Chance Rust keeping the intensity high. At forward, their centers are fantastic in particular, with American sweetheart Isabella Campbell at the top of the team sheet, backed up at 2C by Cole Newhook, a strong young player for the Moscow Menace. Flanking Campbell on either side we have John Leclair II and  Keith Krestanovich. Both are big, burly boys who will certainly be making sure no one gets too close to Campbell, but both are also incredibly skilled scorers, and can skate circles around opposing defenses. We think Team USA is looking to be a solid dark horse contender, as they have a very balanced squad with no obvious holes.

Finally, we have the leftovers (just joking <3). Team World might not be the best team we have seen pre-tournament, but I’ll tell you what, with Doug Dimmadome, owner of the Dimmsdale Dimmadome in net, I’m not sure the rest of the squad matters. That man can single-handedly keep a team in the game. He is a well rounded netminder, but it is his lightning fast reaction time that truly impresses. He is supported by Kevin Malone, a top netminder in his own right, and will be shielded ahead by Shawn Glade III, the heart of Team World’s defense. Jared Willis is probably their best forward, an incredibly well-rounded player who can do just a little bit of everything; the exact profile player you want to be grinding out games with. While Team World has these few high performing players, their downside is easily their lack of depth. It’s hard to see where their scoring will come from, compared to the bottom lines of teams like Europe. But it’s a tournament for a reason; lets see what will happen.

Riley has been weighing up whether or not to apply for a job at monster energy during her spare time, when she isn't playing ice hockey, in order to create the flavour that she has always dreamed of. She has to drink the same 34 flavours over and over, there isn't enough choice, she needs something new. Ultragreen is delicious, tasting like sour apple and maybe some tropical fruits added in, but Riley wants something fresh. What would be better for this caffeinated drink than to bring out a matcha and coconut flavour? The matcha would be energising and the coconut would be refreshing.
Riley doesn't know if this would be a good idea though, since she doesn't want to limit the hours that she puts into training on the ice rink between games. She especially wants to keep practising her shooting since she is passionate about that, and she wouldn't be able to improve as quickly if she is busy creating flavours for her favourite drinks company.

Earlier Today it was Announced 16 Year old Slovakian Canadian prospect Vivek Weiner is considering joining a VHLM team as a free agent. Vivek is a strong, well rounded power forward who has played a mix of center and wing for most of his career up to this point. He's slated to go around the 4th round of the VHLM draft at the seasons end. Vivek's stated that he will play for whomever decides to bring him in, regardless of offered playing time or position. 
VHLM GM's will have to keep in mind though that Vivek is still a very young and raw prospect will need time to grow his skills. Vivek is most likely to excel in a diminished bottom 6 role where he can save his energy to work on his strength and athletsism.
Regarding the players background, Vivek was born to Slovakian parents in a small town in southern Ontario. His father, Suckma Weiner played professionally in the Czech republic for 10 seasons which gives vivek a good role model to rely on.

SASKATOON - The Saskatoon Wild have had quite the players. From Mikko Lahtinen, Edwin THE Encarnacion, and more from the Season 69 generation of miracles, to former VHL players like Rylan Peace, a lot of different players have played in the Saskatchewan city. One of those players who happened to join the ride as the Season 69 Wild made history is Jacques Lafontaine.
 
Rumours have it that Jacques Lafontaine was able to buy a house in Saskatoon. Well, the rumours are true. He has recently bought a small house for him to live in during the off-season.
 
“Well, why not? I have the money. And besides, I’m not looking a big mansion. I’m trying to keep my address kind of a secret. Anyways, I’ve had the opportunity to stay in the city before and I have to say, I’ve grown to love it. So yeah, expect to see me around at times, Saskatooners.”

HELSINKI, FINLAND - The Helsinki has been struggling as of late, crawling to a 21-19-3 record through 43 games. Just barely good enough to hold on to the 5th spot in the European Conference. No one has been more vocal about Helsinki's recent shortcoming than rookie Patrik Laine.
 
"It's f***ing frustrating. You play so well but the results just don't go your way. You can't score, you can't produce. It starts to get to you after a while. The only thing I have consistently done this season has been improving my defence. My offensive production has fallen off and as you can imagine, I'm pretty frustrated at this point."
 
The 18 year rookie has potted 8 goals and 20 points through 43 games. However, the statistics have their shortcoming. 11 of those points, including 4 goals, have come on the power play. Not to mention that the rookie hasn't scored a goal in 12 games and has been pointless in his last six. His shooting percentage has also been abysmal, sitting at 6.9% on 116 shots.
 
"I can't blame anyone on the team. We stick together through thick and thin and this is just another hill. I think I just gotta stay with it and eventually the results will come."

Helsinki Titans defenseman, Seabass Perrin was acquired last offseason as the team's only big name free agent signing. He had a great first few games and looked to be a real game changer early on in the season. However it seems like Perrin wasn't able to keep up with that pace and has actually regressed to the point he's at now, pointless in 4 games and visibly frustrated on the ice.  Perrin has been terrible defensively as he's looking more like a construction pylon out there on the ice being outskated by the opposition and losing key puck battles. Perrin has been letting his young goaltenders down as he's posted a plus/minus rating of -9 during the team's last ten games. That's nothing new for Perrin as he has been a minus player his whole career, however he's been able to produce enough offensively in the past to disregard the stat. In his last ten he has only posted three assists, which leaves Titans fans wondering if they just paid big bucks to acquire a aging vet who's just finished. 
 
For obvious reasons the Titan's bench boss has shuffled Perrin down from the first pairing playing alongside Erik Summers to the 2nd pairing with youngster Spencer Elsby. When asked about he how he felt about being bumped down Perrin had the following to say:
 
" Hey I get why they made the change, I've been shit and Summers has had past success playing with Bolonee in the past so it only makes sense. I gotta do what's best for the team even if that means stepping aside to a lesser role. Obviously i'm frustrated with my play as of late, but complaining about it won't do me any good. This isn't my first slump, I just got to keep working hard out there and try my best to keep out of my head and hopefully good things will come."

Elsby's off grid out of nowhere , what the fudge ? for real ? Elsby himself was unable to respond to any interviews over the past two weeks and went completely ghost on point tasks. This may sound like something that means nothing , however , to Elsby this means everything. WIth my commitment to the Helsinki Titans Organization, My coaches and teammates as well as the whole country of Suomi this was a major struggle for Elsby with depression and anxiety worrying about not only his Titans brother but his second family with Dmax in Philadelphia. My dedication and love for my players in philadelphia is an eternal burning flame and want to be there for each and every one of them and most of all my partner and boss who gave me this opportunity LEGENDARY Dmax himself.... So the story is Elsby (IRL) AKA User Spence King AKA Myself have been on a road trip across canada from Ontario to British Columbia and have had no real acces to the internet as i am tenting the whole way lol I will still be tenting and on the road until atleast the 16th , however i will be having more of a reliable source of internet and should be able increase if not get back to my full productivity and activity not only as a player, but AGM and Scout as well.

Matty Ice has made his selections for the season 74 WJC Team Canada Roster.
 
While some selections were easy, some weren't.  It was difficult to cut some quality players from the roster in favor of more promising young talent, but this team has what it takes.  The roster is complete and I feel these guys can get the job done!
 
The competition will be fierce...
 
The odds may be stacked against us...
 

 
But we play this damned game with Canadian Pride!
