1.The VHL Draft has come and gone, were you watching the Draft livestream?

Nah, didn't have time unfortunately. Looks like we got a good haul of prospects though.

5.)Wolves are also ECSTATIC to announce the official signing of our S74 Prospect @Xflexznot@MMFLEXMarkus Emerson Jr Voted S76 VHLM Top Goaltender winning the Award "Benoit Devereux Trophy". How many Starts to you expect to see Emerson play ?

The minimum required amount, we kinda need spyro in net this season, to get as much of a lead as possible in the reg szn.

6.) Where do you see this years Wolves Squad ranking amongst the VHL, how far can this group go? With the star studded offense in Su @Da_BerrKevin King @IamMOOSEVenus Thightrap @BladeMaidenGregg Stallion @SweatyBeaver Norberg and Sandstrom @fonziGG@jpsd ALL SIX of these Forwards have 99 SC and are all 548 TPE+ players.... would you say this is a super team in this top 6 here ?

Very good offence, defence is okay. One of the best top 6 in my opinion.

7.)Last two Seasons we have been a VERY young team, this year however 9 of our 11 Skaters have VHL have been in the league for 3 seasons already (Other than Sophomore Stud @MasonGabe Akerstrom) what ways can this experience help the team achieve ultimate success?

Hopefully everyone developed over the past few seasons and will be looking to show off their improved skills and take us to the cup.

8.)Which player on any team are you most looking forward to playing against and why?

SSHornet, just because he was the #1 OA pick in my draft class.

9.) The Wolves lead the league in total team Goals Scored as a Team last season, is this a realistic expectation of repeating this stat ?

Yeah we have a great offence and with a bit of luck we can repeat that record.

  2. When does the offseason end again? I've already have been losing track of what week it's been now and that's coming from a player whose team made the playoffs. I can't imagine how it's like for those teams who didn't make the playoffs.

Speaking of the offseason I wonder if Zetterberg or whoever it was, is still doing their offseason tournaments with STHS.

I'm starting to bank now, for my upcoming regression. I'm not sure if I should be at this time or if it's optimal at all, but since this is my first player I guess I'll experiment a little. Su has been doing well, and apart from FO, I don't really have any other stats I want to increase. If I do decide to increase FO, it'll be up to 99, which will take me around 90 TPE. That's almost around a season's worth of TPE so instead, I guess I'm just saving up now.

  3. 1. How are you coping thus far into the off-season, missing hockey already?

It's tough, honestly offseason is super boring.

    2. What kind of beverages you gonna enjoy the next few weeks?

    Some hot chocolate.

    3. How important is it that we lock up Lamb this off-season?

Very he's the franchise cornerstone at this point.

    5. Are you excited for NHL to start back up?

Yup, finally have something to watch that isn't NFL.

    6. Who do you cheer for in the NHL?

    Edmonton Oilers

    7. Is there anybody in this upcoming S76 draft class you want to join the team?

L if he's in this class

  4. MAL has won the cup. Can't say I expected it, but I'm happy that the championship graphic will be pretty colourful. Also happy for Jungkok, who was a former Wolf. Wish it worked out better for you in VAN, but still happy to see you succeed on a team that values you.

PHI also won the cup for the VHLM, which is pretty cool. Ever since S73-74 I really stopped paying attention to the M, but it's kinda sad to see that both OTT and MIS, who I played for have continued to struggle in these past few seasons. Hopefully, they pick it up soon.

Offseason is officially here again, well at least for those teams that made the finals. For those who didn't make the cut or were knocked out in the early rounds, it's been quite a while, maybe 2 weeks so far? It's time to see if there's another debate of the offseason being too long.

1.With only two games left in the S75 Regular Season the Wolves easily clinched 2nd in the NA Conference and already have 2 more wins than last season, what key factors have lead to this continued success?

We didn't succeed, main factor was bad luck.

2.) What are you hoping for as a gift for Christmas ?

    Maybe some new clothes.

3.Jimmy Spyro @DarkSpyro had an amazing showing with two back to back shutouts , against Ria and Malmo, How does having a goalie of Spyro’s caliber impact the team ?

He's a rock for our team, really helps bring everyone together.

6.) Star Center Andrew Su @Da_Berr  has eclipsed the 100 point plateau again this season topping his career high and is currently leading the VHL in points with 105 pts in 70 GP, tell us something the best advice Su has given you ?

    Shoot puck = score goal

7.) The Province of Ontario has announced a Province wide lockdown as of DEC 26th , what are your plans if there is a lockdown announced in B.C or wherever you will be spending the holidays ?

    Staying home as always

8.)Which Wolf has made the biggest improvements throughout the S75 season ?

    King

  6. It's been a disappointing postseason for the Vancouver Wolves, with the defending champions being knocked out of cup contention in 7 games by DC. It was a controversial series as it featured a re-playing of the first 2 games. The reason why is that in the other series featuring Chicago and Calgary there were some technical difficulties in the first two games. Although the re-playing of the first two games might've not affected the overall series at all, it still leaves a sour taste in both Vancouver's players and their fan's mouths. It's a shame too, as this is Spyro's second last season and with him, ageing Vancouver will be hit hard this coming season. Hopefully, the development of the rest of the young core will be enough to offset that loss. As of right now Vancouver is looking shakey, with a huge question mark for them in net, but we'll just have to see if they can capture another cup before Spyro retires.

They’ve only been around like 3 seasons, that’s being a bit harsh don’t you think?

I gotta make exaggerate storylines to make content. Shh LA isn’t that bad, but still they got off a slower start than expected compared to other expansion teams, especially compared to CHI (drafted veterans in exp draft).

  8. Thoughts on the ending of the S75 regular season.

    1. Merrick came out of nowhere to snatch the point leader award this season. It seems like Merrick had a hot streak right near the end of the season and popped off in the last 3-5 games.
    2. LA is the only expansion team that was unable to make the playoffs this season. Is this a sign of a bleak future and eventual reallocation? They have a decent group of prospects, but can they convince them to resign with LA with their poor performances.
    3. Davos also missed playoffs this season. I remember back in S73 people were saying that their future was bright, especially with getting Robin Winter and SS Hornet in S72. It's honestly a shock that they missed playoffs, especially with how good their team looks on paper. If they continue to struggle and not make playoffs for the next few seasons could they be the most underachieving team ever?

4.Egg nog or hell to the no?

Absolute trash, Egg nog is the worst drink created in the history of mankind.

5.)The IRL WJC are starting IRL what is your home country and who will you be cheering for?

    Canada and Canada!

9.) The Wolves have a significant lead in the league team Goals For by over 10 goals and a game at hand over 2nd place Team. What has been the key to the teams balanced scoring with almost half roster scoring at a point per game pace?

Our chemistry and team balance has been outstanding this season. Everyone just seems to click with one another.

10.) Thanks to @TMGSosa we’ve just been made aware that our Shootout win last night put the S75 Vancouver Wolves etched into the history books with the most OTW in a season. How does it feel to be apart of history ?

Great, now it's time to make history again by going back 2 back.

11.) The wolves are hosting fundraiser game for the 1st Playoff home game , what charity would you like to see the $ go to ?

Zebra Center, they work with children who are in abused familys/homes.

    12) How do you feel about Covid-19 ?

Bad, would've been solved alot sooner or would have had less of an impact if people listened to the protocols enacted around the world.

  10. I'd pick Mikko Lahtinen, or one of the goalies that killed it this year. Mikko Lahtinen since he was 4th in points, had over 350 hits on a team that made poffs (wildcard spot tho) and kinda carried his team to their 4th place finish in the EU (21 points ahead of second best player on his team).

As for goalies, so many of them performed super well this year, and I think the skaters group isn't too outstanding, so one of them will probably win.

  11. It's right before 12 o clock and that means the quick dash to write 150 words to get my 2 TPE again.

    1. Points leader race is close. Su is leading with 100 in 68 games, and Merrick is just 1 point away with only 67 games played. I remember Brown being the main competition for Su in the point race, but it seems like Merrick came out of nowhere to challenge for the crown.
    2. The end of the season and the start of the playoffs are finally coming. Calgary has solidified its position as the top team in the league this year, with 8 points ahead of both Vancouver and Helsinki.
    3. This might be the first year where I was present where both divisions are relatively the same strength. Comparing all the other teams in the playoffs except CGY, they are all around the same strength I would say.
    4. Hopefully, HSK doesn't lose again in the finals this season. Since they're the favourite from the EU, it'd be a shame if they lost their 3rd finals appearance in a row.
  12. With most S72 players entering their 4th or 3rd year in the VHL, I think it's about time to review each draft pick (at least in the first round) and determine how they have been doing so far. Today it's time for picks 13-16.

    13. Andrew Su
Coming into the VHL draft, Andrew Su was predicted to go as high as 7th OA but somehow ended up sliding to the second round. So far in the young center's career, he has shown to the teams that passed on him in the first round, that they messed up. Despite having an absurdly bad rookie season with only 19 points, he quickly bounced back in the following seasons. Notching over a PPG in his sophomore season and then getting 100 points in S74 (as well as being a main piece of VANs cup run), Su has shown consistent improvement in his abilities. Being an offensively focused player, he has broken 40 goals twice in his career and 100 points twice as well. He could very well be a HOFer in the future.

    14. Chris Hylands
Chris Hylands has had a mighty impressive career so far in the VHL. Honestly, it's hard to find any faults in his well-rounded game, especially since he decided to stay another season in the minors to polish his skills. MAL with this pick got a steal. Posting an impressive 34 G, 42 A in his rookie season, Hylands started his VHL career by turning some heads at his performance. He showed that it wasn't just a one-off year, by improving at a rapid pace. In his sophomore season, he reached 95 points, with splits of 46 G and 49 A. This season, despite not improving on his already stellar offence, he has worked on his physicality and 2-way play, notching 174 HITs so far. He so far seems to have the potential to be another HOFer from S72 or at least one of the best players in the draft.

    15. Gregg Stallion
Gregg Stallion has so far been a quieter player from S72. He has shown impressive consistency so far by notching 51 and 56 points in his first two seasons. Despite the unassuming point totals, from his first to his second season, Stallion improved greatly on all fronts. This can most clearly be seen with his 16 points in 19 games in VANs S74 cup run. This season, Stallion seems to have finally broken past the wall that was holding him back in the past with 76 points, 42 A and 34 G. Considering where Stallion was picked in the draft he is a steal and has been consistently good. Any team would benefit from a player like Stallion and he has the potential to be great.

    16. Liam Flaten
This is the first so-called "bust" from the second round. Despite Liam Flaten being called a bust here, he isn't as bad of a pick compared to Gino, from the same draft, due to both his draft position and performance so far. Back to back disappointing seasons in DC, with 30 points in both, and a slow development rate led to DC trading him to LA. So far this season, with LA, Flaten has improved slightly with 47 points. Perhaps the change in scenery has helped him a bit. If it can help him regain his passion for the game, he can eventually become a decent-good player. Despite his low point totals, his defensive ability has still been pretty good, racking over 100 SB in all 3 seasons he's played in so far.

1.) Last week the Wolves have continued there strong offensive output with star winger Gregg Stallion being named as one of the VHL 3 stars of the week with 5 Goals and an assist. What is it that’s so special about Gregg @SweatyBeaver?

Great player with some great line mates. He's been constantly improving and putting in the hard work consistently.

2.) This is a extremely stressful time of year , school, financial, midseason, trade deadline, and the holidays ! What do you like most and least about this time of year?

Favorite part is the tight competition for awards at the end of the year, and looking at huge trades. Least favorite is if your team doesn't make playoffs, and your basically in the offseason already.

7.) Vancouver is so famous for Whistler Mountain and the activities there, have you ever been if so how often and what is your favorite thing to do?

Yup, often go there twice a year, once for skiing and another for dirt biking with the boys.

9.) Last week the Wolves went on for 6 straight wins, what were the biggest contributing factors in this offensive onslaught?

Team chemistry is really starting to click, everyone is getting in on those points.

10.) Do you check the Index, LR chat, Sim results chat, or the VHL Portal when looking at the teams post game results ?

I now check the forums, since I'm up at midnight when the games first get posted.

11.) Which player in the league would you say is the toughest to defend ?

    Myself.
