  1. Captains Captains Captains! Look at me, posting captains on the first day of the season instead of after the TDL. I'm so proud of myself. I'm also especially proud of our captain and alternates this season. Moscow tradition typically gives our letters to the longest tenured members on the team, and I'm happy to say that the tradition will be continuing this season. All three of our longest tenured players are active and positive contributors to our team, both on and off the ice. Let's dive right into it! A - Cole Newhook - @GrittyIsKing09 Gritty is the best. There really isn't that much else to say. He was in the beautiful Moscow S72 draft class and has been our most active forum locker room member. Probably because he doesn't use Discord lol. But he's one of the few people I talk with in DM's somewhat frequently, and one of the best kiddos I've ever met. Congrats Gritty! A - Pietro Angellini - @okifenoki My fellow Penguins fan, Oki was also in the S72 class and holy hell he tore it up in the first sim of S77. A hat trick to get the season started is incredible. He recognizes that it's going to take the veterans to step up and lead if Moscow wants to have a decent season, and man has he done that already. He's also recently been freed from the evil clutches of work, and we get to have more time with the league's best Teddy Blueger fan. Congrats Oki! C - Fat Palloon - @UnkemptCL4PTP Perhaps not one of the most vocal members in the locker room, but easily the most consistent and loyal players I've ever met. No matter what role he's played in the past, he's accepted his position and has done whatever he can to help the team win. He's already embraced his new role of Moscow's #1 defenseman, and is stepping up to take a leading role on the team. It's only right that he also steps up to the captaincy, and will be leading our team for the rest of S77! Congrats buddy! Moscow Moscow Moscow!

  4. Moscow Moscow Moscow! Oh and go DC!
  5. There's a scale of improvement that we hope to see from folks as they continue making graphics. Folks make graphics for the first time ever after they join sim leagues, so we understand that they need some time to get better. However, you've been making graphics for quite a bit of time, so the bar is higher for you than someone who is posting one of their first few graphics. Hope that makes sense!
  6. fonziiiiiiiiiii congrats buddy!
  7. Considering you're tagging me in a thread I never opened or knew existed, I think we know who's living rent free and where.
  8. @Domg5all done sir
  9. Talked about me and Moscow for half your newspaper and I didn't even get a tag smh. But I appreciate the kind words and the support for Moscow . Good work lads, keep it up!

  12. done This is going to be on hold as @Frank didn't make his pick after Hex yet, since Hex's pick needed to be fixed. Frank is on the clock, then it'll go to Midnite.

  18. I need an affiliate check for March and my last VHL.com was at the end of February. Boo. Anyways, here are some bullet points of random things around the VHL that I've noticed or am involved in. Idk, just totally random VHL stuff in the order I think of them. Moscow is shaping up quite nicely. We're running a 9-4-2 this season with quite a few young players. Just one player out of the 15 is IA, which is really nice, and it's just a defenseman. Luckily we have a defenseman pretty close to coming up, so we'll see him next season. Moscow's LR is also popping off which is also really nice to see. It's been decently active in the past as well, but ever since the draft and all the trades this offseason, it's been a whole level above. I've been debating opening up the LR to more guests just to have more friends around to hang out and chat. @Brewins15 is one of the few guests in the LR so far, and she's really making me want to open up the LR to more people since the activity levels have just soared. Cheers Sam For anyone looking for entertainment, @MexicanCow123, @Caboose30 and I have been playing a new game called Parkitect, which is basically Roller Coaster Tycoon but more fun since it's more immersive. I've only killed a few people, nothing too bad. But it is quite the fun game to play and it's multiplayer! We've all been working on parks together which has been really fun, and a few other folks have downloaded the game as well. Highly recommend getting the game (on steam!) or joining us in VC as we play! Ok that's enough words. (Word Count: 290)
  19. @Kelsier thank you for your time on Moscow man, you were a steal in the draft and helped LVA a lot when you were there. Best of luck over in Vancouver where you can get some more playing time @Poptart thanks for the quick talks!
  20. It felt time to bring in a very strong person in management in a significantly lower pressure situation than in the M, where so many users' careers are at stake. I've worked really well with Moose in the past, and I think he's going to be fantastic as one of my advisors
  21. @Midnite's first pick is skipped, he has 9 hours for his second pick.
  22. I'd like to start by thanking everyone who applied for the AGM position, and took the time out of their days to reply to my interview questions. I had a lot of talented and passionate individuals apply for this position, which I greatly appreciate. I know it gets said a lot, but this truly was a difficult decision to make. With so many qualified individuals, I had to think for quite a long time, hence why this posting is going up a few days after I finished interviews. For those not selected, continue to apply for more positions and get your name out there! If you have any questions about how to get for future opportunities, I'm always welcome to chat with you and provide advice and feedback. That being said, I'm proud to announce @KC15 as my new AGM! KC and I had a fantastic interview that truly showcased his passion for management, and also checked the prerequisite boxes of not having previous experience in the VHL with management positions or jobs of any sort. This is a learning opportunity, and he was one of the most willing to learn as an AGM and continue to grow as a user in the VHL. With so many applicants, and another individual extremely passionate about the position, I felt it appropriate to make a second hire, this one to my advisory committee. Welcome onboard, @IamMOOSE! Moose has had a rocky history in the VHL, but is committed and passionate to reuniting with me at the management level. Despite not having a player on Moscow, he's ready to bring his scouting skills and passion for team management to the motherland, working closely with me to win more championships with Moscow. Congrats to both of you, and I'm looking forward to working with you both closely in the coming seasons! Moscow Moscow Moscow
