VHL needs more meet ups. Pretty sure I live within 3 hours of 4-5 members ( @Higgins and @Will for sure) but have never met anyone here.

Between a slight dip in activity levels and the general time you joined it was unfortunately a rather rough storm. You'll get yourself on a team soon enough and it gets significantly better from there, just keep working at it. As for the political stuff. Do you mean like actually political for league political? League wise we're at a bit of a crossroads regarding big decisions so that means more stuff getting drug through the muck. If you mean actual political: that likely has to do with the simple median age of our members. The VHL is a forum of slightly older members so politics naturally are important in our daily lives (unfortunately) and therefore get discussed sometimes.

NY set themselves up seriously well this season between trades and getting the top dispersal draft pick. I fully expect them to flip from missing the playoffs to being top 3.

It’s very nearly done. The first couple of rounds took awhile but the later ones have been flying. I agree that it might have ave sparked some activity but because of the nature of it (everyone not being in to pick at the same time like a normal draft) it would have been far too long and dragged out for any kind of public excitement.

Discussion with the Free Agents coming from contracted teams (Frank, Kyle, and Higgins) can now be contacted prior to Free Agency officially opening. Their rights don’t belong to an team in particular so they would normally fall under Wednesday’s deadline but there’s no reason to wait on them. For the record, we did think about it. Carryover wasn’t a complete after-thought. Don’t just assume we left it completely out of the discussion. Admittedly though, we didn’t assume people would stop updating because they would t get carryover. I still don’t believe that. Seems a little much to stop caring because it doesn’t help your next player but maybe that’s just me. I don’t think realistically letting people add the two together makes sense though. Every single person with a carryover amount would be hitting the cap basically, even if we put it to 120. If we assume people retire in their 8th season it means 7% carryover. To get 120 at that rate you’d need 1700 TPE (give or take, it comes out to 119 and change) which isn’t that extreme over 16 seasons. I had 1000 with Holik and I’m at 526 with Sokolov and still have I think 3 seasons left. A much bigger TPE whore than me can hit that with basically no effort at all. There’s also the issue that we want to bring new members in. Carryover is capped for a reason. If new members come into the league with 30 TPE how long do you think they will stay facing off against people from the same draft class as them that started with 4x as much? I offer an alternative. Either the higher of the two amounts (as it is now) or a combined amount totalling less than the currently capped 75 TPE; whichever is higher. Keeps the cap so that new members don’t get scared off and still allows the second player to be useful if one player wasn’t enough to hit the cap with. That way if one player isn’t quite enough you can still use both but only need ~1100 TPE combined to hit max carryover. You still get a benefit of the second player but it does t massively inflate TPE levels and scare new members off.

That’s actually pretty good for someone that’s rusty. Just a suggestion though. This forum GGX wise is usually just smaller stuff like player cards for less TPE. If you want to gain more from this signatures are usually posted Here for 6 TPE. That is assuming you haven’t done another PT this week which I haven’t noticed if you have or not. EDIT: Went and looked and you have done a regular PT, someone has been busy. There’s nothing wrong with this, just wanted to let you know for the future. This section doesn’t require full signatures or anything since it’s for far fewer points. Good to see you engaging so much though.
