Very nice and heartwarming article. Clearly reporting decisions and resolutions to the AGM position. Could have provided more structure to the article for a better and easier read. Keep up the good work! 8/10

Looking Forward To The Draft

Good article. Could provide current player statistics to strengthen why each team would choose you. You showed great interest in a few teams but would they think the same? Good use of colour coding and structuring of article. 8.5/10 -

SITR: Vancouver Wolves GM Beaviss Interview Host: Thank you for tuning into VHL Network, Stick In The Rink! This week, we have the Midseason Special! Now that we have reached the half way mark of Season 75 in the VHL, we are lucky to get in touch with a special guest! Today, we have a call with the King of the West Coast, GM Beaviss @Beaviss of the Defending Champs, Vancouver Wolves! Hello Beaviss! Thank you for taking your time to join us today in this Zoom call! First of all, congratulations on winning the Continental Cup last season! Beaviss: Thank you! Host: After a fantastic ending to Season 74, where your team took the VHL Championship winning your team's first Continental Cup since S67, many changes happened to your championship roster. Not only did we saw the departure of your two superstars in Franchise Center Brock Louth @Beaviss (via retirement) and Franchise Defenseman Jeff Downey @JeffD (via free agency), we also saw an arrival of a ton of new rookies. What was your thought process to the offseason? Did you happen to achieve all your goals in the offseason? Would you have done anything differently if you had the chance to go back and redo your offseason? Beaviss: We worked really hard for that cup last season, and the entire roster of mostly rookies played beyond what I had hoped for. Unfortunately, we lost our two superstars. Brock was one of our older players and he had a good enough career that he wanted to retire a little early to give all that intense ice time to his apprentice Su @Da_Berr. Downey was a huge loss. We drafted him all those years ago and I felt he wanted to end his time in Vancouver on top. Regardless, I respect that he found himself a nice home in Chicago. He wanted to go there and I wanted to make sure he was rewarded for all those hard fought years in Vancouver. This offseason was a difficult one. We had lots of picks this season so we went for boom bust draft picks. Most of them seem to have hit so far but only time will tell what happens on that front. I wish I was able to acquire another offensive powerhouse but that's something of a stretch goal right now. Host: Yes, from the looks of it Andrew Su is taking all the pressure relatively with ease! He is having a fantastic season so far, being tied 3rd for points (57) with 21 goals and 36 assists in 39 games. In fact, your team have played very well so far in Season 75 despite missing Brock Louth and Jeff Downey. Backed by the superb play of your star goaltender Jimmy Spyro @DarkSpyro, you currently sit 3rd in the VHL! Has the season so far gone as you've expected? What were your initial season 75 expectations and objectives? Beaviss: Spyro is our captain and the rock on the team. He controls the games and as long as he is hot we can stay competitive. This season is of course not as exciting as our last as we were on top most of the last season. We took a small step back so it is going as expected. Host: Every team's goal is to win the championship and build a dynasty. How do you feel about your current team and its chances toward defending the championship title? Do you plan to bring in anybody to help the title defence? Beaviss: I can't say I have any moves planned right now. Our squad won the cup last season and almost all the players we have now were on that team. I believe we can get back to the promised land. It just might take another season or two before we can have a standout like Brock and Downey to lead us back there. Host: Since we have reached the midpoint of Season 75, who do you feel has been your team's MVP so far this season? Who has been your most improved player? Most exciting player? Who has surprised you the most so far in your team? Beaviss: That's a hard question as our whole team is putting in the work. If I was forced to pick though, I would say Jimmy Spyro has definitely been our MVP so far. As for the Most Improved Player, Onde Sandstrom @fonziGG comes to mind. In fact I would say Onde Sandstorm have also been the Most Exciting Player to watch as well! His 5 Game Winning Goals make him super clutch! As for the Most Surprising, I'd say Emi Rune @Emi. Emi has almost a Point Per Game average as a sophomore defencewoman. This is something I was not expecting. Host: Okay, moving on. Let's break the fourth wall and talk about your player Brock Louth. Brock has been a franchise player for the Vancouver Wolves, any regrets to retirement? What was it like to have your player play for you? And to top it off win it all for you? Was there ever a doubt that you could have failed to win anything as a player and as a GM? Beaviss: Brock Louth is my statistically worst player I have ever had. He was only a good role player through the down years, but I'm happy he was able to take that extra step for the team in the cup winning season last season. I wish the BOG voted @JeffD for the Playoff MVP as I didn't feel that I deserved it but that's something I can't control. I had doubts that my team building style was just a fluke in S67 but it seems that lightning does strike twice. It gives me more confidence that I might know what I'm doing. Host: Okay, that's quite interesting. Let's talk about the league. As a veteran player and member of the VHL community, what are your thoughts toward the direction VHL is headed? What has the evolution of the league been like? What do you feel works well, and what do you feel needs improvement? Beaviss: When I first joined the league it was in the worst state of its entire 13 year existence. At the time of joining I was not aware of that though. @Tagger answered all 13 something pages of questions I had about the league and I fell in love instantly with the league. Since then it has come a long way and its only been getting better every season. Going from 8 VHL teams to 16 is quite the accomplishment in such a short amount of time. I feel that the league needs more ways of engagement and a more steady stream of new players but that's something I work at every day to fix. Host: Wow! 13 pages of questions? That's amazing! Where did either of you find the time to go through that!? Next, let's talk about season 75. Taking out any bias, how do you feel Season 75 has gone so far? Has there been any surprises that caught you off guard? Who has been the most surprising player? Most exciting player? Given how the season has gone by since preseason predictions, who do you think will now end up being this season's MVP? MIP? ROTY? Which team do you feel has the best chance of winning the Continental Cup in S75? Beaviss: To be honest the expansion teams have caught me off guard. I didn't think Chicago and or Warsaw would be as good as they are for another season, but it just goes to show how healthy the league is. The Cup is hard to guess because if you make the playoffs it's anyone's shot and a lot of the time it's not the top team that wins. A random guess as unbiased as possible would most likely be......err Calgary. Their Defense and Goaltending is the best in the league and it's hard to slip a puck past them. Host: Looking toward the future, what are the plans for the Vancouver Wolves heading into the future? You have amassed tons of draft selections in the Season 75 Draft, and you also have a ton of draft picks in the upcoming draft. Where do you see your team in a few years time? Beaviss: My team building style comes entirely from the draft. We need to have good drafts to be able to keep a competitive roster fielded. We have all our future superstars on the roster already we just need to find the right players to complement them and be the superstars of the future. I see the Wolves being one of the top teams to beat for the next 6-7 seasons, if I can keep the core together. Host: Fantastic! We are running out of time. Do you have any parting words for your fans and listeners? Beaviss: The VHL is a great place to be. If you feel as strongly as I do about the league you can help supporting it by helping the Recruitment Team by bringing in new members. Even one full time member is great for league health. The more members the more fun that the league can be. Thank you for hosting and I wish you all the best with SITR. Host: Thank you very much for your time, Beaviss! Best of luck for the second half of your season! We hope to hear from you again in the future! [Word count: 1582] [claim for weeks ending Dec. 6, Dec. 13, Dec. 20]

Eagles off to good start with Reapers
Rhynex Entertainment replied to Greg_Di's topic in Archived Media Spots
Very good read. Good information on an up and coming player playing in the VHLM. I haven't been following the VHLM as much this season since joining the big leagues. It's important to know about what's happen there as any good players could become future teammates or rivals in the coming seasons. Could proof read as there are grammatical mistakes, or maybe it was supposed to be like that. Could add in more structure to article for easier distinguish of quotes (as prescribed by @ROOKIE745. Also not sure if you had provided tags, but if not could have provided tags. 9.5/10 -
First week report for VHL Season 75 Off to a fast start to his VHL career, we had a quick chat with Rhynex Entertainment @Rhynex Entertainment of the New York Americans. Reporter: Hello Rhynex! Good to see you! First of all congrats in surviving your first week in the VHL. You are having a fantastic start to your VHL career, any comments to your fast start? RE: Hello. Thank you! I have much thanks to my teammates and GM Esso Drunkmann @Esso2264 and AGM dlamb @dlamb. Without their early support and giving me all the minutes and situational plays, I couldn't have such a start to my season. Reporter: You are currently leading all rookies this season with 5 goals, 11 assists for 16 points in 10 games. Was this the expected start to your VHL career? How do you plan to keep pace with the big boys and strengthen your rookie lead? RE: I am ecstatic of the results I'm putting out so far in this early season. No I did not expect to be doing so well, to be honest. I'm just going to play hard and have fun. Points will come when they come, it's just good to have some come already and hopefully more will come as well. I just need to make sure I'm putting my 110% effort out there every game and keep that work ethics up in practice. Good things happen when you work hard and put in commitment. Reporter: I know you have a busy schedule, any leaving remarks for the fans in New York? RE: I've said it before, there's going to be exciting times in New York soon! It's true that we are currently in a bit of a losing streak, but good times don't come until you've met with tough ones. We might struggle a bit now, but I feel we are in the right track and we have a nice group here in New York! Just sit tight and enjoy the fun of hockey! Reporter: Thank you for your time! Best of luck for the rest of the season! [word count 343]

SITR: New York Americans AGM dlamb Host: Thanks for tuning into VHL Network, Stick In The Rink. Today is November 19 and we got a chance to catch up with the Assistant General Manager of the VHL New York Americans, @dlamb. Let's go straight to New York where we have Reporter Jim and dlamb. (switch scenes to live in New York, New York) Jim: Thank you! I have dlamb here. It is good to see you today, dlamb. I know you must be busy with the start of the 75th Season, so let's begin. What are your thoughts on the Americans' season in S74? Did the team meet expectations and year-end goals? dlamb: To be honest, S74 went about as good as management assumed it would. We didn't have many goals, just trying to ice a competitive roster while also full-well knowing that we were one of the weaker teams in the league. A bunch of our players had career years however, so I'm glad the guys at least had that to look back on an otherwise grim S74. Jim: While S74 was a season to forget, what did you feel was the biggest surprise in S74? dlamb: It has to be S74 Dustin Funk Trophy Winner Kefka Palazzo @diamond_ace , in my opinion. He came to New York as a free agent for his last career season, having a previous career high of 36 points. He absolutely smashed that last year with NYA, potting 35 goals and 56 assists, good for 91 points, and again, winning the Most Improved Player Award. Jim: After what could be said as an underwhelming season, a season of rebuilt if you will. You went into the draft with the future in mind. What are your thoughts on the draft? Did you get the players whom you had your eyes on? Overall how satisfied are you with how the team did in the draft? dlamb: This was one hell of a giant draft. The recruitment drive brought in a ton of new players, with active players still being drafted in the 7th round, which is actually insane. We did get players we liked. RJ Thatcher @jhatty8 was 2nd on our draft board after 1st Overall Pick Pistil Stamen @DMaximus, so we were more than happy to take RJ at 5. Wing @chikn was a surprise drop at 17, which we couldn't pass up. Prout @Prout and Zyuzin @TheLastOlympian07we were more than happy to take, with Zyuzin even skipping an extra VHLM year and coming straight up to play this season with the Americans. I believe that our later picks - Sales @thadthrasher , Ramirez @Ominous, and Lilja @Retuperkele specifically, will be considered some nice draft steals when people look back on this draft. Jim: While you added many new prospects from the draft, like the aforementioned RW RJ Thatcher, RW Ramarod Ramirez, D Chicken Wing, D Cowboy Prout, C Luukas Lilja, and G Thadius Sales, they won’t be playing for you for at least one more season. On the other hand, you traded away your last core piece in star defenseman Hugh Jass @TheFlash. What was the reasoning behind the trade? Is the team tanking another season? Is Mr. Jass hindering the team from its objectives? dlamb: We just felt as he didn't fit our future contention window as a veteran player, and we wanted to give him a chance to succeed immediately. We liked the return as well, so it just made sense. We aren't intentionally tanking, but with so much of our roster so young it is possible we spend another season near the bottom. Jass was nothing but positivity. On ice, a 2-way force to be reckoned with, and positivity and the locker room. We couldn't ask for more. I wish him all the best. Jim: With the VHL Season 75 underway with its first week of play. How do you feel the offseason went? What are the expectations of season 75? dlamb: The offseason went as planned, as mentioned before we are really happy with how our draft went. We weren't too active in Free Agency, just growing from within and starting to build a solid core that we believe can eventually lead us to the playoffs. Jim: Who do you feel will be the Rookie of the Year for S75 in the VHL? Who do you feel will step up the most on your team for S75 now that the team is in full rebuild? How about leadership? Who's the Captain and Associates/Alternates? dlamb: I said it before the season, and after the first few games, I am still holding the same statement - the S75 Rookie of the Year will be Rhynex Entertainment @Rhynex Entertainment. Honestly no bias, I think he is the Rookie in the best situation to put up a lot of points, being a 1st-line Centre already. With 8 points through the first 5 games, it is looking goooood! As for leadership, I can't say for now. GM esso @Esso2264 should be making an announcement shortly. We are kind of planning to run with just Alternates this season and see where that goes. Jim: As a former Rookie of the Year yourself, what advice do you have for your team's rookie star trio (RW Gary Rush @G_Rush, C Brian Strong Jr @Wheaties, and C Rhynex Entertainment)? dlamb: As a player from a team that struggled in the win column, take the highs when you can, and don't get too discouraged if it isn't going your way. I believe the core we are building is special, so keep it positive, and just have fun with it! Jim: Those are some wise words. Okay, I don't want to take up too much more of your time. Are there any parting words you want to give to the audience and the fans out there? dlamb: I know you guys may be frustrated, or upset, but please, I promise you that the good times are coming - possibly sooner than you think. #PROUDAMERICAN Jim: Thank you dlamb! Best of luck to you and the New York Americans! There you have it, live from New York, I am Reporter Jim. Back to you Bob! Host: Thank you Jim. There you have it, a lively interview with dlamb of the New York Americans. Thanks for tuning in, until next time on Stick In The Rink. S74 Miami Marauder Team Awards
Rhynex Entertainment replied to Ricer13's topic in Archived Media Spots
Excellent article! Easy to read and with the way the article is structured. Quick information gatherer on the Miami Marauders but I think you're missing an award. GM of the Year, Ricer13. An award usually given to the GM of the winningest team during the regualr season, but given Rice took Miami to back to back finals, I think it's well deserving. 10/10 -
