  3. This glowy guy really is something else. One of the main things that keeps me active in the Mississauga locker room long after I left the team.
  4. Downey Ups Shooting Percentage with Big Week Vancouver, British Columbia – Vancouver Wolves defenseman entered this week shooting just 1.65% on the season, good for dead last, or 153rd, in the league among players that had scored at least one goal. Downey had scored just two goals on 121 shots. Within the past week Downey has managed to score an unprecedented two more goals, doubling his season total in just one week, and upping his shooting percentage from 1.65% all the way to 2.78%. This has moved him all the way from 153rd in the rankings up to 151st, an incredible jump. When asked about his recent hot streak Downey had the following to say. ‘It has truly been an incredible week for me. Two goals in a single week? I never thought I would ever reach such a high offensive level in this league after my struggles at the start of this year. The feeling has been nothing short of astounding for me. I am finally among the offensively elite defensemen of this league.’ With Downey moving up to four goals on the year he is now only 12 behind league leading defenseman Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen. Is there a chance he could catch up and pass Smitty? We believe there is not only a chance, but it is a near certainty.
  5. I love everyone here except @Enorama
  6. Excellent. How can I complain about being in first place? It has me ready for a deep playoff run. I really do feel that this team has what it takes to get it done. Bring on the playoffs! I'd love to see Encarnacion lace it up on our blue line next year. That has gotta be Eagles. People say goalies have a screw loose up top and it is definitely true with him. That is hard to say. Both are deserving of the award.
  7. Hey @Doomsday! I am the AGM in Halifax and we’d love to have you!
  8. TYE WILLIAMS? THE ONE DAVE BAUER!?! I was going to ask you soon if you were ever planning on coming back!
  9. Vancouver Wolves Continue to Roll Vancouver, British Columbia - The Vancouver Wolves have been at or near the top of the standings for the entire season thus far. At the start they were battling with Helsinki and now the battle has begun to heat up between the Wolves and the now second place, and rival, Seattle Bears. Currently the Wolves sit at a league leading 69 points through 49 games and the Bears are three points behind at 66. When asked about his team's recent success, defender Jeff Downey had the following to say: 'This season has been great so far. After a struggle in my first year we are clicking on all cylinders and it doesn't look like anything is going to stop us. The additions of HHH and ACL TEAR have made for an incredibly balanced offensive attack and the pairing of Philliefan and Starload may be the best in the entire league. I'm still not completely happy with where my level of play is at offensively but I am willing to make the sacrifices required to keep this team winning.' It looks like the battle for the North American conference could continue to heat up going forward. The Bears are on a big time hot streak and have blazed up the standings while the Wolves have been playing at a fairly consistent pace for the whole season.
  10. 2) Do we have what it takes to surpass Helsinki and claim back 1st for ourselves? I think we definitely do. We have have a tough schedule and I think we can definitely move up if we keep up our level of play. 3) HHH currently sits in first for goals and second in points. How crucial has he been to the Wolves success so far? He has been enormous for us. He is probably our best player and he is showing why. 5) Do you think we are at our max capacity playing wise or is there still room for improvement? There is definitely room for improvement, especially on the defensive end. 6) Which team do you hate playing the most this season? I don't know if hate is the right word but those games against Seattle get pretty heated. 7) Which team do you like playing the most this season? Davos ? How has your season been going so far? Any room for improvements? Defensively it has been solid but my offensive game really needs to improve.
  11. I'll throw my hat in the ring. I need to avenge my last place USA finish from S67.
