I’m in the same time zone and yet, I don’t know anyone here who watch the ball drop. Here in Quebec the big tradition is to watch something named "Bye Bye 2021" (2022 next year… you get the drill) which is a 1 hour and an half show with parodies of basically everything that happened in the year. The funniest part of it is that we get disappointed every years but still watch it.

The toxicity and cheating are 2 different cases and are treated differently. If you see them getting the same punishements, its mainly because there is not so much ways to punish offenders on a forum/sim league other than a TPE ban or forum ban. What we can adjust is the time which also end up being on a weekly scale. So at the end of the day, it end up being 1, 2, 3, 4… weeks or perm bans. It does feels like they all get punishments in the same range but this is what we have. As of your comparison with cars, we do take the amount of multis in consideration but this is not the only thing we take in consideration. We also take in consideration the cooperation of the user during the investigation. Lying about your multis can worsen your case while admiting it right away can help hour case. In the end, from an external point of view where you only see one single thing that we take in consideration, you might think that one got it easy and an other got it too harsh which makes our punishments looks inconsistent but there is more than just the numbers of multis. My point is that the TPE-ban is their punishment. The whole league pointing at them like they are the devil in person is too much and I speak for everyone who got caught. Not only those who I consider friends. The list of people who made mistakes in the league is long and will always keep getting longer. We can't just exile all of them at the first mistake. I understand that you are upset and you have all the rights to be upset but please let them attempt learn from it and get their things together. Let's not forget that all of these users are at their first offense.

Hey, I have 2 TPE to earn trough a VHL.com article so why not deliver a message from it? I've been thinking about it for a while and I want to talk about the recent events in the league, not to justify them but more to give my thought about how the community reacted to those events. Unless you live under a rock, you probably noticed that there has been a lot of people caught using multis lately which is something that is forbidden in this league and therefore, punishments followed. When we post these punishments in the ban thread the reason behind it is to make it known that these things are not allowed here and actions are taken. But lately, members are taking it as a wall of shame and hold on them for days, calling them names and treating them like they are pests. Nobody here is perfect, we all make mistakes and that's what make us humans. I don't believe that anyone here has never done anything they regret. Let them learn from it and please stop throwing rocks at them. I hope it won't happen to any of you but the day that one of you guys will be the one who screwed up and need to ask the others for forgiveness you will understand why this is something we have to work on as a community. What looks bad right now is that members want permanent bans for multis and want a simple warning for harassment. By listening to the community, we should let people harass and bully each others as long as they are not cheating. They made mistakes, they are punished and we can move on.

Soon enough, this will be something from the past, your VHL career is still very young and you are full of potential both as a player and a futur GM!
