NSG got a reaction from KnightRiley in Tucker Blasts Commishes For 8 Year Limit
To put it mildly, Henry Tucker, blue-chip 1st gen prospect, is wishing that he could play a little longer than 8 seasons. The 23rd ranked prospect in ten upcoming VHL Entry Draft is really pissed off that he can’t play until he can’t no more. Here he is speaking at a pre-draft interview.

”Good grief. This system is beyond egregious. What the [multiple expletives] were they thinking when they decided that? I look at EFL, SBA, and no limits on years you can play. And the sad thing about this is that this is a great site with great people, and then they screw the selves over with this limit? Why? Go check out SBA and they’ve got regression down easy peasy. So, why oh why? This system is broken with a capital K.”

Well, that really sums it up, and I don’t need to talk much more, but sadly for me this is a 500 word Media Spot and that’s not 500 words. So, I must continue writing. Tucker is waiting to be selected, and based on his TPE is expected to be a mid 2nd round pick after 2 seasons in the VHLM. He debuted with Miami and scored 1 point in 31 games across the regular season and playoffs before being selected 76th in the Entry Draft by the Storm. With them, he scored 43 points in 72 games and had an exceptional 200 hits and shoulda been the Most Improved Player. He has been contacted by 3 teams for the Draft, but they probably wish to remain anonymous so they will remain anonymous. Not many, but better than some, I guess. Meyer had some stuff to say about the 3 teams recruiting him.

”Well, it’s a real pleasure for GMs and aGMs to notice that my player is good and actually care. This seems like a real great “upward mobility” story, y’know, goin’ from 76th in the Entry Draft to 23rd ranked prospect. Damn, very, very happy.”

It’s also worth noting that his agent is trying to become the aGM of San Diego. He’s being interviewed and appears to be the only applicant for the job. He wants to make a legacy and I also know that it’s good to test out new things. He can’t be a GM at present because he doesn’t have a laptop (by the way, my apologies for switching points of views constantly), but when he gets one, he will be. @thadthrasher should probably know this because I will definitely be an aGM for a long time if I get hired. Anyway, so I can get to my 500 words, I’ll quote myself, always a fool-proof strategy to avoid libel.

“Well, an aGM spot opened up in San Diego. That’s not big news, obviously. Well, nobody for real signed up for it, so I said, ‘Why the hell not? Might work, might not, but hey, I get to have a good time. So I signed up. Got interviewed, Thad hasn’t responded, so either he’s gonna hire me or he isn’t. I’m really amazed how much I blossomed over the couple months I’ve been here, mostly because of Ricer, who decided to sign my player, gave a guy like me half a chance. Didn’t work, but Minnesota found a 3rd round gem in Tucker. Sorry for bragging, buts it’s true.”

NSG got a reaction from KnightRiley in Tucker En Fuego
En fuego is Spanish for “on fire”. And that is the best descriptor for prospect Henry Tucker. He has managed to play 2 seasons and earn $3,000,000 before getting drafted by a VHL team, while playing for 2 teams. Tucker began his career playing for the Miami Marauders at the tail end of Season 75, playing 13 regular season games and recoding 1 assist, 6 shots, 13 hits, 12 penalty minutes, and a -7 differential. In the run to the Cup, Tucker played another minor, 4th line role, playing 18 games and taking 3 shots, delivering 10 hits, and accruing 10 PIMs and a -9 DIF. He may have got a ring, but all in all, the stats were extremely disappointing.

The VHLM teams thought he would forever be a big dumpster fire then, and Tucker was selected 73rd overall by the Minnesota Storm in the VHLM Entry Draft. Tucker was really pissed, and made sure that everybody knew how pissed off he was. But it wasn’t gonna be with his mouth or his fists. It was gonna be with his performance. He had a lot to be pissed about. That @Rayzor_7 and @Mr_Hatter waited that long to pick him. That his old GM @Ricer13 wasn’t gonna pick him up. Tucker knew it probably wasn’t personal, but he was pissed anyways, and so began the Henry Tucker Redemption Tour, the second he got notified he’d been drafted 73rd.

Tucker figured out what he wanted to be and began spending TPE on Checking, Scoring, and Passing, quickly reaching 70, while beginning on Skating, and he is currently at 50, though after this Media Spot and the 12 uncapped TPE from the donation drive, he’ll be at 68 SK. Then, he found his way into the lines (maybe 2nd line) and has been amazing. He is currently has 11 goals (on 130 shots) and 28 assists for 39 points through 66 games is tied for the team lead with 181 hits, while he also has 13 shots blocked, 1 game winning goal, and 5 power play goals. He has a sad -31 +/-, but, hey, Minnesota sucks. Tucker has also got to 123 TPE, and is currently ranked 25th in the Season 76 Draft Rankings. The Auburn, Alabama product wonders why you can only play 8 seasons before retiring, since Mr. Tucker wants to become “Mr. Longevity”.

Tucker thinks that, in the present system, he needs to have a quick rise to the VHL, a way to get on the first line, which he believes will come from all-around ratings (70 on everything), and a way to stay on the 1st line.

Not putting this in a full fledged announcement because it's optional but still something I wanted to point out. In an attempt to be more inclusive to non-cisgendered members we have added a custom profile field for pronouns which you can find by editing your profile. It will appear under your profile photo next to all your posts so that it's nice and clear to everyone what pronouns they should be using with you. We have also changed the "gender" profile section to be more inclusive in regards to non-binary and gender fluid individuals.

I know this is a minor thing for most but it can mean a lot to those that aren't CIS so we're glad to be able to do it easily for them. As I've said, you aren't forced to use it so if you choose to please take it seriously. If you choose not to then you can completely ignore this and carry on with your day.

NSG got a reaction from Spartan in Henry Tucker Junior Review
In an attempt to increase his draft stock, Henry Tucker has requested his agent, me, @NotSoGood88, to write a Junior Review. So, here goes.

Henry Tucker was born in the town of Auburn, Alabama. His father owned a wing joint, and he briefly thought of owning it, but decided to focus on sports. Henry tried football, basketball, soccer, tennis, golf, and baseball, but quit for separate reasons. Golf, baseball, and tennis were terribly boring, Henry found that he sucked at soccer, and liked football and basketball, but, with pro aspirations, found it difficult to stand out in Auburn, where football and basketball players are everywhere. Because there was very little competition, Henry turned to hockey. At age 9, he went to the rink in Columbus, Georgia 5 days a week, and honed his all around skills with his best friend, Harrison Meyer. However, at age 12, Harrison was no longer a good enough coach, and Henry tried out for the nearest travel hockey team, the Glenwood Goofballs. He made the team, and learned exceptionally quickly. By 13, he was the star of the team, and by 14, scouts were getting interested in him. At age 15, he moved to the Goofballs main squad and signed a contract that paid $12 a week. However, his contact turned out to be a problem, since he had to honor his contract through Glenwood's season. When he finished, he immediately signed with the Miami Marauders and got to work. As a 4th liner at just 16, he played 13 games and recorded 0 goals on 6 shots, one assist, 12 penalty minutes, and 13 hits. Though the playoffs are still going on for Miami, Tucker has 4 penalty minutes and 7 hits in 6 games. The right winger is 21st in the Season 76 Pre Draft Rankings (out of 31), and is ranked 5th out of 6 RWers. His life is best represented by a timeline.

Age 0: Born (Duh) in Auburn, Alabama

Ages 1-4: Lives a normal, unspectacular life of a toddler.

Age 5: Decides that he will be a professional sports player when he grows up. Plays rec soccer but plays so terribly that he ultimately quits at the end of the season. His parents say that he recorded 1 goal and 3 assists in 9 games.

Age 6: Takes 6 golf lessons and quits after he finds it terribly boring. The only stat anybody knows is that 58.7% of his shots ended up in a hazard, and that he 6-putted 42.5% of the time. Also, Henry tries out baseball, but, after hitting .164 with 1 home run, he, again, retires.

Age 7: Tries out rec tennis, but quits after the season. He was reportedly 6-27 in his matches. He also tries out rec football, but after catching 1 pass for 2 yards in 11 targets over the season, he retires.

Age 8: Henry tears his ACL, and takes a year off to recover and begin looking around for other sports. Only hockey interests him, and he begins working at his fathers wing joint, preparing wings for $2 an hour to save up for lessons, travel hockey, etc.

Age 9: Henry begins training at the Columbus rink with his friend, Harrison. After a food poisoning outbreak at the wing joint, Henry is fired, gets educated on wing-making, and gets reinstated at $3 and hour.

Age 10: Henry learns how to skate effectively, and begins training on his face offs and checking, among other things. He makes the honor roll for the first time, and his speed greatly increases with Harrison.

Age 11: Henry finishes up his training with Harrison, makes the honor roll again, and gets a raise at his wings place to $5 an hour. Henry searches for a nearby travel hockey team and finds the Glenwood Goofballs, whose logo is inspired by the Harlem Globetrotters.

Age 12: Henry makes the Glenwood U13 squad and plays 28 of 30 games, working his way from a depth role to a 1st liner. He scores 9 goals and 11 assists for 20 points. He also wracks up 46 hits. He gets a raise to $5.50 an hour at the wings place, and makes the honor roll again.

Age 13: Rather than staying with the U13s (now U14s), he transfers up to the U15s, and is immediately a starter, and in 30 games, scores 19 goals and 17 assists for 36 points. Local scouts become interested, and Henry gets a raise to $7 an hour. He quits school, knowing that greatness awaits. He records 52 hits and wins League MVP and Rookie of the Year.

Age 14: Henry transfers to the main team, starting as a 2nd liner, and in 57 of 60 games, he scores 11 goals and records 32 assists for 43 points, along with 79 hits. People become very interested in him, and the Miami Marauders express interest. After winning Rookie of the Year, Henry gets a 2 season, $15,000 contract that expires on his 16th birthday.

Age 15: Henry shines in his final season, and as a starter, he plays all 60 games and scores 36 goals and 41 assists for 77 points. He wins MVP and Breakout Player of the Year. After their season finishes, he signs a 1-year, $1,500,000 contract with the Miami Marauders.

Age 16: Henry appears in 13 regular season games for Miami, as a 4th liner, missing 6 shots and recording 1 assists. He adds 12 penalty minutes and 13 hits, and has a -7 +/-. In 7 playoff games, he records 4 penalty minutes and 7 hits. His +/- is -5. He declares for the Season 74 VHL Draft and is 21st out of 31 overall and 5th out of 6 right wingers.

NSG got a reaction from KnightRiley in Henry Tucker Scouting Profile
The Miami Marauders squeaked into the playoffs, and during that time, Henry Tucker had a little-noticed season as the 4th line right winger. Tucker, born in Auburn, Alabama, thought about taking over his father’s wing joint before deciding that he would have a better chance for success in hockey.

    Name: Henry Tucker
    Postion: RW
    Age: 16
    Height: 6’3, 200 lbs.

    STRENGTHS
Shooting- Tucker has yet to score a goal, but he has only played 17 games. When he begins to shoot, his shots are likely to start falling, as he is currently turning all his focus to shooting, and after this report is done, he should have a 54 on scoring. Every other stat is 43 or 44. Expect to see his shooting drastically improve as he prepares for the draft.

Youth- Tucker is only 16 and has a LOT of time to develop into a star. He has 12 years until he primes and another 10-ish on his decline, so he could be around a while.

Physicality- Tucker does not have exceptionally high checking, but he did record 18 hits in 17 total games, which is not very bad. He could be a skilled enforcer.

Being A Right Winger- Despite his low overall ranking, I do recall that Tucker is the 2nd best RWer in his draft class, so he may get drafted by teams poor on wingers.

    WEAKNESSES
Low TPE- Tucker joined late in the season, played 4th line minutes, and a 13-game regular season stunt makes him wish that he could wait another year in the minors.

Experience- Duh, he’s only 16 and has played 17 games. It is unlikely that he will be able to provide any tips and tricks that he’s learned until he’s in his 20s.

Playing Time- Tucker was signed as a 4th liner and has not ascended up the depth chart since then. I would suspect that most new draftees are VHLM 1st or 2nd liners who begin their VHL careers as 4th liners or reserves. Henry Tucker is currently a 4th liner, so he would probably be really bogged down in a pro team’s depth chart, so he is really not a good choice.

Overall, Henry Tucker is a confusing and mysterious prospect, full of potential but lacking impressive stats (1 assist, 6 shots, 14 PIM, 18 Hits, -9 +/- in 17 games) and experience makes him a so-so prospect. He is most certainly not a 1st rounder, perhaps a late round pick by a team hat needs a right wing, but most likely Tucker will be an undrafted free agent who, if signed, will be cut in practice camp, barring some miracle. This isn’t very positive, and I guess I’m supposed to hype my own players, but Tucker would benefit from another minor league season.

My favorite moment was when Tom Wilson, the right winger for the Washington Capitols, got into a huge fight with Braydon Coburn in the 2018 Eastern Conference Finals. Thus, I am honoring Tom Wilson by creating a right winger, a player who is well-rounded. If you want him on your team, contact me.
