  1. NGL that's what I was going to do. then Str cause Leblanc is like 5 pounds less than Bo. She lifts, bro!
  2. We're just a relentlessly positive group of people who certainly didn't just assume it was online sexual predators somehow using spotify to catfish.
  3. I was just hoping it was Nashville or something, but this is marginally better.
  4. I mean Sweden is already trying to get rid of Skåne and give it to Denmark, cause we kinda just don't want it. Problem being Denmark also wants to kinda just give Sjælland to Sweden for similar reasons. So maybe just start small and let the two of them make their own country so we don't have to deal with trying to understand wtf they are saying.
  5. Don't sweat it, no bad blood what-so-ever from me nor any perceived from you. I literally knew you'd have something to say before I posted it. Because I know you feel very strongly about the league, and to be honest. If you didn't give a contrary argument, I would have considered it a sign that what I posted wasn't thought provoking enough to elicit a response. Which would have been miles worse. I posted it with it being such a raw idea precisely to get all that feedback and discussion back and forth. Sure I eventually got a bit exhausted by it. But that was to be expected.
  6. ...with Clue Glue™ It's tasty too!
  7. Yes, but I've talked about this with you before. And I know how passionate about it you are, so I appreciate that it comes from a good place. We all word things poorly sometimes, and we should learn from those mistakes. But that shouldn't stop you from continuing to do what you consider to be best for the league. Maybe try and be more neutral about it, yes. But don't just stop.
  8. This. Exact same thing with my attribute thread over in league discussions. I knew the second I posted it that at the very least @GustavMattias would oppose what I said, because anything else would just be weird. But I didn't post it for that reason. I posted it because it's a topic I'm passionate about, and I realize that we all need to knock our heads together if we're going to find some kind of acceptable solution. There will be people who disagree, in fact based on the poll the majority of people disagreed with my idea. That's not really the important part to me, it's that there was a (mostly) constructive centralized discussion. However when you are discussing a topic that many are passionate about you will always have someone get too passionate. I haven't read through this whole thread so I honestly don't know exactly what the drama was, nor do I really want to stress myself out by finding out. But please everyone, when someone brings up a league topic they are passionate about. Assume it's because they care enough about the league, to want what they think are best for the future of the league. You may find their ideas do not match your own. But at least appreciate that the intentions were good and ultimately you are both on the same side, as all your want is for the VHL to be the best place possible.
  9. I mean I would get my spoon and get in on this one too. But y'all seem to have it covered.
  10. He was probably going for 69. But didn't quite get all the way there. Gotta appreciate the effort though!
  11. Don't let the french hear you say that. In fact probably best not to call Canadian french "french" around them either.
  12. I like how you took one look at Quebec and was like "Mexico, you want this instead?"
  13. At least those feisty little tin cans have 99 experience. But yeah 70 leadership is like 2 weeks of TPE. So it wouldn't be a massive investment to test. But good luck getting a whole team on board without having proven it to work.
  14. Can confirm, this was the highlight of the podcast.
  15. *Tanking intensifies* Best of luck then!
  16. Yeah, that's all fair enough. And I do love an underdog story. Personally I'm usually a lot more impressed with draft steals who prove everyone wrong. Than with high picks doing high pick things. But still, when it's your first draft you wanna make it special. Though if we're being real. Everyone knows being picked 69th overall is the real flex move.
  17. They also have an amazing name that should really help the commentators up the mood at home games.
  18. Wait, Glögg is called Glögi in Finland? I mean at least they are consistent, because Samuel is Samueli and Emil is Eemeli. Just a slap an i at the end of that bad boy and it's Finnish(ed)!
  19. But shady shit is the best! Maybe if @Daniel Janser's cap idea gets some traction we can get cap discounts on players without scoring though. Cause those are pretty much a thing IRL anyways.
  20. But one of those builds will be closest to the meta build, then everyone picks that. Though at that point it's a balancing issue of the builds. Which means you can massage some numbers to remedy it. @Spartan actually mentioned this exact solution in his podcast earlier. I would certainly not be opposed to a solutions along the lines of that, as it is in essence a more structured version of something I mentioned briefly before. This. VHL GMs job is to compete, VHLM GMs job is to introduce players to the league in the best way possible. When you compete you do not care about unwritten rules. Anyone who has ever competed at a high level at anything is aware that most of what goes on at the highest level, is trying to abuse loopholes in the rules in such a way that it's just acceptable enough that the rules don't get changed. That's basically what high level competition is about, who can do the most unintended things within the rules without getting slapped by the ruling body for it. You don't need to like it, but that is effectively universal in all competition. If some of that stuff is harmful to the experience, then the ruling body has to do *something*. Not the competitors, because it simply isn't their responsibility. Ofc, it's a closed system so everyone goes somewhere. But a lot of us are competitive people and do want to go for the highest draft rank we can, for one reason or another. So when ideas of anyone who isn't a meta player dropping in spite of everything else start being mentioned. Then you could see the cause of concern, right? I know that at the end of your career it doesn't matter who did or didn't draft you or when. It's what you do once you go pro that matters. But until you have a draft of two under your belt it's had to detach yourself to that degree and look at the bigger picture.
  21. So a player can't "choose" to take a more team friendly contract then, I take it? I guess with the slightly questionably value of money that would make sense.
  22. The issue with Bo, or not issue. But the planned path is that since I fully intend to keep him a defensive pass first specialist. His earnings *should* be less than his TPE will dictate, if that makes sense? So I doubt he will ever earn as much contract money as he could. But on the flip side he should be fighting regression on one less attribute. I obviously plan to max earn every single week of his career. But life happens, so there is no way to project that realistically. As a massive nerd I'm interested in how these salary brackets and the rules around them work in practice. But I haven't read much on them. So I don't necessarily know what earning range that will put him in. It's far enough on the horizon that I haven't prioritized it. This all assumes I don't fall to the dark side and just up his scoring in frustration. Which honestly, it's too early to say that I won't.
