  1. Actually this is probably fine given the restriction of free agents on teams
  2. They should've gone into the draft tbh. Or we should have a draft to deal them out. This is probably the worst way to do it
  3. i'll tell yOUR MOM! haha I got him good.

    STO/NYA ; VOID

Idk if you guys noticed but last season I actually listed NYA G on Stockholm and STO G on New York in the finances spreadsheet.
  5. even if he is, he isn't signed to Calgary or anyone else
  6. If I were to play the rest of my career in New York, I'd need to average 60 goals and 127.5 points to beat Jukka Hakkinen's franchise records. I guess second wouldn't be too bad.
  7. I've never lost with the simmer on my team. I think, anyway. 2/2 in cups, if scotty was simming s13 and sterling s17
  8. Dangit, they were supposed to have to listen to my podcast to know ahead of time!
  9. Lol no Covington was better for us than Jarvi.
  10. Okay, fair enough. Honestly, I'm not trying to trap you or build a case for Jarvi out of your answer, just get your philosophy on this. What if after being traded to New York, Jarvi has the most goals and points for New York when he goes over there? Let's say something like 14 goals and 32 points in 16 games. Can he be MVP for being the best player on two separate teams, or do you only look at what he did for the team that he was on at the end of the season?
  11. I'm curious: is this just because you don't think he did enough during his time in Cologne and think with more time it would be more justified, or does being traded disqualify him regardless? Would it be different for a player who played 16 games for a team, was then traded, and had MVP-like numbers in 56 games for a new team?
  12. Digital was the sole leader with 8 assists
  13. My attributes are still going to be where I was planning to start banking. No later than a week into the season. But I haven't depreciated yet so I do fear for my future. I think this definitely hurts veterans most of all. Actually, down the line I think just in general, the older the player the more this hurts.
  14. Nah, just thought it up during the playoffs when someone somewhere posted a 2 girls 1 cup reference.
  15. Looks like four or five right. Could be worse
  16. Four seasons into Diana Maxwell's career, I'm not super stoked with her stats overall. She struggled in her first two seasons, quite the opposite of her father, Benjamin Glover. Back in Season 24, Glover was the co-winner of the Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy. During his second season, he was the top goalie over legends Daisuke Kanou and Aidan Shaw. Ultimately, Glover's career ended with a first ballot induction into the Hall of Fame, but one thing he never saw was a cup win. Maxwell's career turned around after her second season, as she jumped up to 94 points, more than she had in her first two seasons combined. More importantly, she did something her father never did; she won a championship. And in Season 53, she won another, playing a more prominent role in the team's success, leading the club in goals and points during both the regular season and the playoffs. At minimum, my goal with Maxwell is to make it into the Hall of Fame. Halfway through her career, having two cups is a good start. While the personal stats and accolades aren't quite up to par with where I'd like them or may need the to be. If she has a few more seasons like this last one, and ideally at least one more championship, I think that'll be enough.
  17. Heading into my 5th season, I don't have to worry about depreciation quite yet. However, the new update scale is rolling out, so I will have to be taking a look at my build this off-season. My current build uses 755 TPE, while I have 27 TPE banked. To be honest, I don't care about the 15 points I added to leadership; I did that simply because I knew we'd be getting the free re-roll, so I figured I'd use my points because I can. Without the update scale change, 740 TPE is where I would've started banking TPE. That would have put me at the following: CK = Checking: 90SK = Skating: 99ST = Strength: 99PH = Puck Handling: 99PA = Passing: 90SC = Scoring: 99DF = Defense: 99 (with 40 in everything not listed except experience, which is not a product of TPE) Previously, it took 80 TPE to get an attribute to 90, and another 36, for a total of 116, to get it to 99. Now, it takes a bit more. To get an attribute to 90, it now takes 85; to get to 99, it takes a total of 134 TPE. So if I wanted to have that same build, I would need 840 TPE. I'm currently at 782 TPE, and my quick estimation is that by the start of S54, I'll add at least 40 more TPE to that number. The tricky part will be regarding when I start to bank for depreciation. Starting in S55, I'll be losing points every season, and I want to make sure that I can still keep certain attributes high (having attributes such as PH, SC, SK, and DF at 95 is more important to me than having CK at 80). Do I forsake checking to make sure that I'll be able to keep my primary attributes higher later on in my career? Or do I just hope that I continue earning enough TPE to keep them where I want them? I don't know for sure yet, but here's 1 TPE for Maxwell.
  18. @Will @Phil @Jill could someone move this to the media spots forum tbh
