If the Phi/Dal winner can beat New Orleans, I give either you or SF a lot better chance at being a threat to Seattle (and hopefully pulling the upset) than I give the Phi/Dal winner of being a threat to Carolina. If NO beats the Phi/Dal winner (as will probably happen) then the second round contains no easier games regardless. I want an easier game, therefore I want the Phi/Dal winner.

For the most part, I agree with this. He and I have had a few issues periodically (one was just last week, for example) but he's just trying to do what he thinks is best, even if at times his opinion doesn't line up with many others. There were a few times I'd have gone to Cologne if I'd been a FA at the time and not a GM.
