Personally I think recruitment TPE is a much, much, much bigger problem than fantasy leagues. The absolute most you can earn from those in a season is about 40, while being able to earn as much TPE as you can from recruiting without any cap whatsoever is just not conducive to a good system. Both systems are flawed, recruitment TPE needs to be capped and fantasy league TPE needs to be lowered, but imo recruitment TPE is a much bigger issue.

I don't know if I like this idea, but it is still an idea I had none the less. How open would the league be to doing a reboot? I'm not talking about the old 90's animated kids show. I'm talking about everybody recreates a player at the same time, no recreate TPE bonus stuff, all on the same playing field and we go again. 
 
There would be some benefits of doing a reboot. We could close the record books on the old VHL. Ergo there is no breaking them. We could update the sim to something different and not have to worry about it interfering with changes/league history. The big fault to this would be the lack of connection current players and members have with the history of the league. You would have to find a way to tie the two eras of the VHL together so that the history would still matter.
 
As stated, I don't know how fond I am of this idea. I do think however that it would be very interesting for a draft, it would be very interesting to see how well some members do and put everyone on an even playing field again. It'd certainly be dramatic and I think it would draw a lot of peak interest. Whether that interest sticks around or not who knows.

WRANGLERS GONNA WRANG

This week a photo was leaked of the possible retro logo the Calgary Wranglers will be wearing during a few games this season. The logo simply depicts a “W” with a cowboy and a lasso. This new “retro” logo was inspired by previous Wranglers logo’s. See the new logo below.
 

Some Wranglers players were asked about the logo and denied any reports of knowing wether or not it will be in use. Boychuk stated “That is one of the most revolting things I have ever seen” as goalie Brookside laughed in the background and yelled “That’s fucking sick!” The team did swarm around to see and the consensus is they wouldn’t mind using it at all. Maybe this logo will bring some passion and energy onto the ice during the home games it is planned to be worn on. The Wranglers want a much needed boost as they sit still in 3rd place in the North American Conference tied in points with Meute.
