Mixed performances as a team, better personal success for a few key players.

 

2. The team is firing on all cylinders on offense. What's the key?

 

Having a good balance on both lines, with the 1st line being more dominant.

 

3. On the other hand, we're struggling defensively. What can we do to change that?

 

Threaten the defensive players with trades or fines for their poor play. Intimidation always works.

 

4. What's been the biggest surprise this season?

 

The shitty play of Adi Dassler who talks a big game but consistently fails to back it up on the ice.

 

5. What have you been most excited about?

 

Nothing yet to be completely honest. I check the box scores then melt away to get on with real life.

 

6. If you could only eat one dessert for the rest of your life, what would you pick?

As I was not on the team at the time, I feel unqualified to comment with regards to last seasons performance.

 

2. What could (or should) leandrofg do to help propel us into an actual playoff position?

 

Package Dassler and upgrade DEF/G as that is where we are deficient right now. The Forwards are perhaps a little too top heavy.

 

3. How has your player performed so far midseason?

 

He was pacing at a PPG, but he's very average to be honest. See reasoning in the above response.

 

4. We have been making some minor changes to the line up, who do you wish to play with for the next line up change?

 

I'd be better off riding the pine, and let the other forwards create opportunities.

 

5. Paralympics is starting soon, would you be following and watching?

 

I'll probably watch some of it. They are incredibly strong in spirit and courage.

 

6. The NHL season is just right around the corner, how has your favourite team performed throughout this off season?

Mixed performances this season, but have won the last three and sit 5th in NA.

Every time I try and predict the end of season standings, it curses the team I'm on. Not this season satan.

 

3. Playoff hockey is always different. Can the team adapt?

 

I'm not sure, but I assume management will set the best lines possible and hope for some sim luck.

 

4. Reports came out about management trying to bring in a more experienced goalie such as Merome Dilson or Karl Herzlich. How would that have impacted the team's season?

 

I'm not certain, but I think that waiting for Panda to be VHL ready is probably the better move.

 

5. After a couple of seasons on the outside, Calgary, one of the most storied franchises in the VHL could have the chance to bring the Continental home. Any words for the fans?

 

Maintain your belief in the Wranglers, but don't go betting your house on them.

 

6. Toilet paper; over or under?

 

Neither. I use my hand. I'm helping to save the environment.

1) Excited. We did very well overall and we have an exciting Young squad that’s continuing to develop!

 

5) I think it makes sense. We want all aspects of the league in as active a state a possible and it seems like the right timing to revert the structure to its original state.

Disappointed but not surprised. Team isn't ready yet, but might take another step in the new season.

 

2. It can be difficult to have a clear view of what happened at this time, but what are your views on the team's season?

 

I think the team was a little too top heavy with forwards and lacked some depth defensively.

 

3. The team seems poised to turn around a keep improving. What's your view on the team's future?

 

I don't really have an opinion on the teams future. I signed a long deal, but doubt that I'll see it through.

 

4. It's been a playoff run with a few surprises. The Victory Cup winners had an early exit to a wildcard team, showing anything can happen. Who do you think will win the Continental? 

 

After the Wranglers were eliminated, I haven't checked a sim result. I don't even know who's left.

People above my pay grade make those decisions, so no, I don't have any further comment.

Ignore the VHL until it's time to update and check the randomness of STHS for another season.

1. Pretty sad, but as others have said, it’s not a surprise. Our team was good, but not deep playoff run good

1. Very excited. One thing with my tenure with the Wranglers that I've noticed; I get more and more excited with each season. The additions have been excellent and the young guys are joining us in our quest for the cup. This squad definitely has what it takes to make an impact and I am dreaming big things with this group.

2. It will be Adi Dassler. Coming off a 67 point season and making the adjustment to this team while on the second line, I think that Adi is gonna have a huge breakout season (I say this as if he didn't have a 96 point season lol) and will lead the team offesnively.

3. I mean between Spider Panda (an outstanding rookie goalie who will certainly get a lot of starts) and Phil Sakic (arguably one of the best forward prospects currently) there is certainly a good chance that we will. I think both will be frontrunners and I have confidence that one will win, or at least make it a tough decisino.

4. Just what an honour it is to captain a team. I mean even as a member of the VHL, it's great to get the approval of the guys. Always a bit exciting to know a player of mine is a captain, especially since this is only the second time this has happened. Can't wait for the season to start and I think I speak for the leadership group (Dassler, Sakic, L. Reingaard, myself) when I say that we will do our part to make this team competitive.

5. We're making the playoffs and we will be raising havoc as we do so.

6. Apple pie. Nothing wrong with pecan pie but I just think that apple pie just hits differently.

I think we are off to a strong start. We just need to keep putting biscuits into baskets, and keep 'em out of our own.

2. The team is firing on all cylinders on offense. What's the key?

Keep putting pucks on the net. Looking for rebounds. Good puck movement also keeps their defense on their toes.

3. On the other hand, we're struggling defensively. What can we do to change that?

We need to settle play down in the defensive zone better. Maybe get more physical and wear out the other team physically. We also need to be more careful with our D playing in the offensive zone. 

4. What's been the biggest surprise this season?

The the VHLE is gone.

5. What have you been most excited about?

New season, new team, new chance!

6. If you could only eat one dessert for the rest of your life, what would you pick?

Quite possibly Ice Cream.
