1. This week, we woke up to news about the impending retirement of our long-standing GM, Kris Rice. What's your favorite moment with him?

I don’t have just one. It’s more of the totality of his impact to my time these past few years and the environment he built. It’s fitting that he is stepping down during Christmas. He’s our St. Nicholas.

I never thought I’d plate with him again so it was so great for him to come back for the final season of his career. Love it.

a couple things, mostly just no chemistry offensively. We needed to find better ways to stick the puck in the net.

2. The proAM. Again, Ricer made me do it because he was sad there wasn't enough defensemen for it to start. Now I am a snowman

My front yard decorations are considered the best in my complex by my neighbours, I've strung up lights around my built-in cabinets and giant mirror to pair with my tree in the basement, I bought a shitton of eggnog and rum and my fav xmas ales. I am going to watch another xmas movie tonight. Etc. etc etc
 

4. oooo this is a hard one. I love my yorkshire puddings. Roast potatoes, while not exclusively confined to xmas are a staple side dish. I love my pepper jelly on crackers snack and pigs in a blanket. Breakfast sausauges as well. Terry's chocolate Orange. OMg i must be missing something.

 

5. No gifts. You're all adults. Let's just buy ourselves what we actually want and save our time and money. For the kiddies, that's easy though. As online as possible. 

 

6. I wonder where this question came from.... 

 

There is no "favourite" They just come out at appropriate times like the time my father-in-law ask "Phil, did you get a haircut?" and I replied " no, I got them all cut!"  Etc. Dad jokes are all situationally based.

1. Toronto won the last two games and with STHS luck I don’t see Helsinki winning many more.

2. Not that I’m sure of, but hopefully Bobandy will be repping Canada’s red and white somewhere.

3. I’ve been in the spirit since I put up my mini Christmas tree on November 1st. I love the holidays, the time off and the family/friends.

4. I love all the sweets. It doesn’t matter if it’s chocolate, candy, or baked goods, anything seasonal with sugar in it is top tier.

5. Currently a broke student so hopefully having enough to get for the people I care for.

6. I ate a kid’s meal at McDonald’s today… the kid was very angry.

1. I was hoping for Helsinki, alas they did not make it.

2. Yes I do. The ProAm with both my players for the Naughty Elves

3. It is kind of unreal as time passes fast and we do not have snow. It always feels wrong to have snowless Christmas.

4. Fondue/Raclette would be among the favourites as it is more of a social event rather than 'only' a meal.

5. We buy the presents for the inlaws and the kids during the year when there is a discount on the stuff, so we do not have to do it when everyone else does it.

6. What do a tick and the Eiffel Tower have in common? They are both Paris sites.

1. IS VERY GOOD, I reallyu like Mcfleury but I dont know about the maellard move... Hopefully it works out for yall though!

2. LEANDRO IS THE GOAT AND I LOVE HI9M, I think hell do well and I think just natural talent alone is enough for him to be a rgeat GM!

3. I don't really know any D men asd Ive only ever really looked at forwards, but I trusyt Leandro will do a great job with whoever he decides on!

4. Hopefully Leandro can rbeuild yall into a top tier team soon enough but I'd expect mid tavlke for you guys to reach.

1. I’m excited to see another S87 on our squad. Good life left in those legs and Skor had excellent numbers last season.

2. Winning two cups for Calgary sounds good to me.

3. Just signed Francis and I am hyped!

4. Top 3 in our conference. We have the players for it and Dilson is in primetime mode now.

5. I got very drunk with friends at a buddy’s cottage. Hangovers hurt.

6. Chocolate. Bobandy can’t get enough of it and has to be monitored after 11pm on team trips or else you’ll see him at the closest corner store picking up chewy bars.

I didn't look at it because I thought it was just people putting their personal New Year's Resolutions into a thread. I do not have any interesting ideas to fix the league however.

I do. I actually quite uniquely have what I believe to be two different joining times since I was in the league in the early 60s way back in the old days.

1. My players participate in the ProAm (which they won) and in the WJC (which CGY did not win, we clearly lacked Zef Gonçalves' skills)

2. I have looked at it, but have nothing to contribute unfortunately.

3. As if it was only two years ago . The Wranglers were very welcoming and Ricer helped me a lot with my build.

4. I think community is the most outstanding 'feature'. Despite coming from different walks of life (or supporting different NHL franchises) we make this league work.

5. I do not know what Catiá said, so I do not know (but get that 'what questions should I ask in the PC' feeling).

6. Donkey Kong is not a monkey but an ape, so if anything he should be called 'Apey Kong'....

1. Calgary has picked up speed after a rocky start. What do you think was elementary in the team's success so far?
Correcting the PP and PK. If you have stable special teams, you will likely be a more stable team.

2. Elaborate in what areas your player could improve, to help the team to compete.
Be more rock solid defensively.

3. Who do you see as our biggest rival this season in the Conference?
LA I came from LA and they are once again competing for a cup.

4. And in the European one?
Whoever we meet in the finals, we don't meet the Europeans very often and we should focus on NA.

5. Which is your favorite cuisine and why is it Italian?
Ethiopian food is top tier. I don't get it often since the nearest restaurant is a 2 hour drive but I do get a group of guys together and enjoy some somewhat often.

6. What sports teams outside of hockey do you follow/support?
The Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers of course, but I also support my mocs in college sports.

1) Solid special teams, awesome goal tending and keeping or nose to the grindstone. 
 

2) Rip is starting to score some goals, but I think that area could continue to get better. Also bringing a little more physicality to the offensive zone. 
 

3) Vancouver, hate em…and their mouthy upstart prospect Ninefingers! 
 

4) Davos, we’ve had some really intense battle’s this year. 
 

5) I would say Italian. lol…from pasta with meat sauce to pizza to garlic bread…knocks it out of the park as a cuisine!

1. I think we had been struggling on the PP and PK earlier on so improving that probably has a lot to do with it.

2. Stop being so angry. Whenever I look at game results I seem to have lots of roughing penalties and even had a game misconduct for "Intent to Injure"

3. Probably LA, anyone who will be competition at the top.

4. Moscow, they're looking strong.

5. Nothing beats a good hamburger but I do love Italian.

1. I think the best way to catch them would be to win more games, but I'm no genius.

2. I'm very hungry right now and can only think of food so perhaps the topic will be food.

3. I probably wouldn't do anything too aggressive but maybe that's why I'm not in charge of those decisions.

4. Probably Davos because they score so few goals.

5. Can't go wrong with a bag a chips, I typically go with Doritos.

6. I have not traveled much unfortunately, the only real trip I've taken was to Florida. It was alright. Too crowded.
