Devise reacted to JeffD in @Poptart They all are sandwiches man.
Is a breaded chicken wing a sandwich?

Devise got a reaction from SlapshotWrangler in Was it a dirty hit by Tkachuk or was it an accident?
Yeah I think it's tough but ultimately I don't think it was as intentional as Maurice is making it out to be.
People need to be able to differentiate between dirty and intent to injure though. Intent to injure generally requires some evidence of pre meditation. Cookes hit on Savard for example. In hockey it's usually from targeting. The dirty hits that come because of misguided timing or playing on the edge are more born of recklessness. Both should still be suspension worthy with context but obvious intent is like nearing a crime and way more serious than reckless behavior in game context.

Devise got a reaction from BOOM in Who needs a player? F or D?
Might be a total Devise thing to say but I've always found quality players overrated anyway.

The league could always use a little more Boom!

Devise got a reaction from mediocrepony in f the NHL. playoff team wins Lafreniere
Yeah Covid is the reason. TSN had some content on it but with travel restrictions there is a lot of scouting done overseas where lots of stuff was cancelled. Mckenzie called it one of the most uncertain drafts in league history. Here's the article.

Imagine if it's like Pitt? The number of solid teams that could just happen to get him is hilariously mind boggling. When you factor in how unscouted a lot of the draft is and how uncertain people feel the deeper you go, it's going to be a wild draft year where chances are...a lot of good teams are going to get good players and I can bet more than a few rebuilders will get a dud with a good pick. To say it's a little unfair at this point is probably not a stretch haha.

Devise got a reaction from mediocrepony in Am I annoying?
Your like a more polite version of @ContinentalCup036. Because of that I'll say, no. That chatloving monster though? The definition of annoying.

Devise got a reaction from Garsh in Officially a home owner now! I might become a real actual adult one day.
Your very own lawn to yell at kids to get the hell off one day. The truest sign of adulthood lol. Congrats though home ownership pretty huge in general but obviously more so in this climate.

Devise reacted to Gustav in Me: I'll just run the rest of NHLVE draft here how long could it take? *3 hours later
I feel that. Every league project I start on I start on thinking "yeah I can knock this out and it will be fun" and then I've wasted two hours and I'm not even half done with it and I'm wondering what I'm doing with my life.

Devise got a reaction from Matmenzinger in Fuck being on a team. That's overrated. Free Agency is where it's at.
To be fair, it is called "free" agency, so without a team your finally free. And we are all free from you as well. Can you say win/win? Robbie clearly a man of the people.

Devise got a reaction from NotAVHLM-GM in @Advantage is now the first VHL GM with 1,000 career wins. Congrats to an all-time gr
Probably best GM of all time. Although the top 4 or 5 best GM's of all time all have different stories/unique accolades so it makes the whole thing interesting.
But I'd still lean Miller. He endured more rebuilds, more turmoil, more expansions than the rest of us. The win marker just shows how good his teams always were.
