Gudnason reacted to Bushito in S57 Trivia Week 1 Results
I've got lots of questions and if I run out I guess I'll be making them up and taking the free TPE

Gudnason reacted to DollarAndADream in Graphic For Oct.1st 2017 [2/2]
Review:
Not bad for phone editing, IMO. Flames, stars, text, jersey editing with a logo to boot. You can claim 6 TPEz. It really does help that you put it side by side with the original to show your effort.

Gudnason reacted to Tyler in New Vasteras Logo
The league should just start refering to them as Vasteras until the blue team accepts reality

Gudnason reacted to Beketov in Rudi Ying retires [VOID]
You do not get to decide that unfortunately.
The rules are pre-season retirements are set by the schedule, not by the player retiring. The schedule is very clear that Monday was the start of pre-season retirements. The schedule was posted using Eastern Time and this was posted at 12:15am EST it was therefore posted on Monday the 9th.
For this reason your player will remain retired (unless you choose to revoke and suffer the punishments) but will play out the season in Helsinki.
By retiring your right to hold out is revoked and you will be automatically resigned.

You forgot Rudy Ying on my roster @Frank that adds a bit to the salary. Thanks.

Gudnason got a reaction from eaglesfan036 in Rudi Ying retires [VOID]
Since I can't get the trade I want (either Davos or New York), Ying will retire as the Gudnason agency fully focuses its efforts on developing Gudnason II.
This is NOT a preseason retirement.

Welcome to the team

Gudnason got a reaction from Beaviss in Claimed: Birkir Holm Gudnason II RP [1/2]
Full Name: Birkir Holm Gudnason II
Position: Defense
Age: 20
Handedness: Right
Jersey Number: 2
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 140 lbs
Birthplace: Reykjavik, Iceland
Strengths
Shot Power - Gudnason II has a booming shot from the blue line, and it is a lethal weapon on the man advantage; think Diego Jokinen or Keaton Louth lethal. His accuracy could use some work, as many of his shots don't make it on target. However, even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes, and with the number of shots Gudnason took in juniors, he was bound to top the scoring charts despite having less than ideal accuracy. If Takashi Fujimoto can be 12th in goalscorer rankings in just his second season, nothing is impossible for Gudnason II.
Confidence - The Icelandic defenseman is a very confident man, and he knows that with the right work ethic, motivation, and dedication, that he'll be the next player that VHL general managers will be drooling over come next offseason. While he's very raw and unproven right now, he is eager to prove his doubters wrong through his body of work over the course of this VHLM season with Ottawa Lynx. Hopefully by the end of the year, he'll have both video footage and a pile of statistics to back up his confidence.
Weaknesses
Size - His small frame is a hindrance when he finds himself against the bigger and physical players such as Fook Yu and Guntis Petenis. While he was able to dominate in the finesse-based Icelandic game where even the slightest of physical contact is frowned upon, he will have to make adjustments to the North American game or he will quickly find himself on the next plane back to Reykjavik. Smaller players who rely on skill rather than physicality have certainly made their mark in the VHL, and Gudnason II will hope to follow in the foothpaths of the likes of Franchise Cornerstone and
Defense - While he is a serviceable player that provides more utility than a pylon you would find scattered around during skating drills, Gudnason II can't be relied upon like Bobby Digital and shoulder the entire load. Not known for his shutdown capabilities, the Icelandic defender will need to work on this part of his game if he is to progress through the ranks and eventually be a upper-tier player in the VHL.
Consistency - Calling Gudnason II an inconsistent player is a big overstatement, as he was known for going for stretches of upwards of ten games without scoring, but then following it up with a free-scoring spree where he'll make even the greatest of snipers jealous. Ask Sergei Komarov how it feels to be shut out during the playoff finals, multiply that feeling by ten times, and you'll feel how Gudnason II feels during his bad stretches. He'll need to learn to accept these swings if he is to succeed at a professional, and he'll have to work even harder during these tough times to help the team in other ways.

Gudnason got a reaction from NotAVHLM-GM in Claimed: Louth: "Gudnason brings hunger" [1/2]
Many were shocked when Birkir Holm Gudnason II signed with the VHLM's Ottawa Lynx for the upcoming season. It was expected that his personal ties to Las Vegas Aces' general manager Colton Rayne and his love for the Vegas lifestyle of luxury, gambling, and nightlife would be the perfect fit. But it turns out that Gudnason II is a man who is dead set on becoming a professional hockey player after discovering he has a wicked slapshot.
"I'm not here to get paid and have a good time, I'm here to work hard, compete, and improve," said Gudnason II. "Signing with Ottawa gives me the best potential to succeed, as they're a successful franchise with good management that will support my goals. I look forward to meeting my teammates and working together to achieve our goal of becoming champions. I will not let the fans of Ottawa suffer another heartbreak." This heartbreak Gudnason II speaks of is Ottawa losing to Las Vegas in the championship finals last season, a team his cousin Birkir Holm Gudnason was on. It was in fact his cousin that scored the Cup-clinching goal for the Aces, and Gudnason II will be hoping that he too can write his name in the history books sooner rather than later.
Keaton Louth, general manager of the Ottawa Lynx, gave the following answer when asked why he offered Gudnason II a league-maximum $2 million contract: "Gudnason [II] brings hunger. He's a competitive guy that is clear on his goal of becoming a professional hockey player. We know he's raw, but you can't teach passion and hunger. We look forward to working with him to achieve our team goals and his personal goals together."
Gudnason II is expected to start the season on Ottawa's second pairing, but could potentially at times be playing on the top pairing depending on line chemistry and other factors that will be decided by the coaches. On the depth chart, he will be behind veteran minor-league Ho Lee Fook, and competing with Adam Warlock for second. His fellow rookie is also a scoring machine, but he is much more well known and has a better reputation from his junior days. It also doesn't help that he is backed by a strong agency that is known for producing All-Star and Hall-of-Fame level talent.
Gudnason II is not fazed in the slightest at being compared with his cousin Gudnason, or with his elite teammate Ho Lee Fook. "I am myself, and I will not be looking to replace or emulate anybody. I have full confidence that in the right time, people will start talking about me in a different light and start comparing others to me. As I said earlier, I'm here to compete, and will do everything in my power to develop in this wonderful environment. I would like to thank Mr. Louth for once again trusting in my potential, abilities, and character," said Gudnason II.
We're in for a hell of a storyline this season.

Gudnason reacted to Gooningitup in Americans full of hope [1/2]
Last season Komarov was shunned the fans werent happy they drafted a man with 15points in 72 games let alone a Russian. However that changed quick this year they cant keep his jersey in stock. After tearing the VHLM a new one Komarov has become a fan favourite. A star in the making, one that American fans hope leads them to many cups.
Komarov is likely in line for atleast 2 awards in the VHLM. Top goal scorer and top two way man. With MVP being a debate he should be apart of. This comes ontop of being the VHLM champ, after last years bitter defeat. This season will be painful for New York, you will not hear anyone debate that.
However, this season starts the climb from the bottom. Casey Jones, Sergei Komarov, Launchpad Mcquack, Irk Arkander are all expected to start the season and form the core. With Colton Rayne expected to stay down for the season in the VHLM. Komarov has put expectations on himself to atleast be in the conversation for rookie of the year. He will be coming into the season putting it likely abit over 300 hours into his training. Putting him just a 100 hours behind cousin Pavel, and 200 behind his uncle Vladimir. This is impressive, and goes further to showing Sergei wants to set himself apart from the other Komarovs. Seems to be on good pace right now as he hopes to be the face of the Americans success.
The core, Casey Jones just captured the VHLM scoring title. To go along with the cup he shared with Komarov as part of the Aces core. He will be the anchor of the blue line for many seasons too go.
Colton Rayne, proved to be a beast in terms of the plus minus area. Making sure he drove play and kept the puck out of his net. He along with Jones, Komarov captured the cup with the Aces, well being the ying to Casey Jones offensive yang.
Launchpad Mcquack is the wild card. He could be a great number 2 C. Making a formidable 1-2 punch down the middle for years to come, or he could call his career early. His agent aims to prove tbe league wrong, and the Americans took the flyer. They hope he can build on that and become a good center to help round out the core.
Takashi Fujimoto is the Veteran brought in with hopes that his experience can guide this young roster. The hope is well they may not win a cup, they will atleast gain experience learning from a talented veteran on what it means to be a pro. The bonus, it cost little and they hope to atleast be playoff bound next season if all goes well.
The Americans still need things to go there way. This will not be a simple road but, things look a heck of alot better from where they are now to where they were last season. Lets hope the momentum can carry into next offseason
