  12. 1) What are your thoughts on the league thus far? Love this league, it's literally my home away from home! I've gotten to do so many cool things! 2) Which VHLM team would you like to be a part of next season? My home is with the Yukon Rush, stopping pucks and shootin' ducks! 3) What are the long-term goals for your player? To be remembered for being a good person, and a great goaltender. 4) Who from the NHL would you compare your VHL player to? Pekka Rinne with a splash of Marc-Andre Fleury! 5) How did you arrive at your choice for your player's name? Stoffiday is a name I've used everywhere, and is based on my actual name. Rhett is in honor of Rhett and Link from Youtube. 6) What attribute(s) do you think you will be focusing on first with your player? Welp, I'm a goalie, so hand speed and reaction time are my biggest.
  13. -Sports Center Theme- Good evening, I’m Dusty Britches, and this is Sports Center. Our top story tonight: With the VHLM dispersal draft in the books, it would seem like Dan Montgomery and the Yukon Rush have stacked the deck for next season. One person who can’t stop smiling about it is Starting Goalie Rhett Stoffiday. “Lord, I can’t stop grinning and laughing! Mr. Montgomery pulled off nothin’ short of a Draft day Miracle! With picks like Bailey and Shan and Sullivan, we have a team that’s going to be amazing in the future! I can’t wait to get in there and get my hands dirty with the boys!” Stoffiday, who starts his second season, is the cornerstone which the Rush built around. The goaltender registered 16 wins in what was a season of rebuilding for Yukon. He says now that Yukon is abuzz for the hometown team, and jerseys are flying out of the team store! “Lordy, the Kronos Bailey Jersey is a hot seller, as well as Junior Sullivan, and Kissan Shan! They’re giving my jersey a run for its money, but Lord if I ain’t excited! Hell, I bought a couple myself!” Stoffiday would admit. “It’s an amazing feeling, having our team back. After last season, I didn’t know how the draft would go, but I’m proud to be a Rush Fan!” Jiminy Christmas, a Whitehorse, Yukon local, who has followed the team for almost a decade would state. The Whitehorse Gang will return to Takhini Arena for pre-season action next week. One major question for the Rush will be answered this evening: The question of where Rhett Stoffiday will be playing after Season 63. “Lord, I don’t even know ya’ll. Yukon’s my home, and I love it. It’d be great to remain in Canada for a while, perhaps with Calgary or Toronto, and Seattle is just down the continent! It’d also be amazing to go to New York and play for the Americans, or to Finland! We played in Oslo, Norway last season, and I got the chance to visit Scandinavia for the first time, and I loved it. I’d even love to play in Latvia, even though I’ve never been there! It’s mighty tempting to speculate where I’ll go, but I ain’t worried. I’m trusting God to put me exactly where he wants me to go!” Stoffiday said, looking cheerful as ever. Country Strong, just like his nickname, and stoic as ever. If Stoffiday was ever nervous, you wouldn’t know it. He’s content just being with his team, and the rest will work itself out. “I’m blessed. I’m so thankful to get the opportunity to live up here and bring some semblance of joy to these folks. These are good people, who care about each other. Sure, I miss Nashville, and I miss Vegas, but this is where God wants me right now. I believe that. This is where I’m meant to be, and I’m gonna make the most of it. Most of all, I know my daddy’s lookin’ down and enjoying every minute!” With Sports Center, I’m Dusty Britches.

  16. Whitehorse, Yukon Territory-- With the draft two days away, Rhett Stoffiday, who will be staying in Yukon next season, is optimistic. “Mr. Montgomery’s got a lot of good draft picks this year, and I reckon we’ll have a great team! I’m anxious to see who we pick up at nearly all positions, but specifically Goalie, so that I can split some games with ‘em…” Stoffiday seems cheery, but under his pleasant demeanor, he makes no qualms about what he wants. “It’s about time that Cup comes back to Yukon. We were the sleepers last season, and that’s just fine by me, but this coming season, we’re going to take what’s ours. I ain’t goin’ anywhere, and the good folks in Yukon deserve to have something to smile about! We’re gonna give it to them.” Stoffiday would remark, smiling from ear to ear. Stoffiday and the Yukon Rush will suit up in the coming weeks for Season 63. Stay tuned for more!

  18. Welcome to the league! Good to have you!
  19. So the VHLM Final series is here, Ottawa vs Halifax. Who do you think wins it? If I didn’t already know who won, I would say Halifax, only because they’re brand new and hungry! Which player do you think will win the Playoff MVP award? Shoot, I think it should go to Ottawa’s goalie! Dude was a beast! The VHL World Cup will take place this season, do you believe you can make it onto your country/continents respected roster? It would be an honor to play for the United States in the World Cup. I believe I might be able to make that team, or even make the team for North America. I’d just be honored to be asked! Your VHLM team's General Manager: Dan Montgomery @BarzalGoat can do no wrong in my eyes. He’s supported me in every endeavor I’ve tried to accomplish, and it’s an honor to play for him. Your VHLM teammates: My teammates are mostly inactive, with the exception of a few. That being said, the guys who are active are great at keeping pucks out of the net, and I look forward to playing with them next season! Your VHLM team's performance: We’re a team in a rebuild. We won some hard fought games, and lost some close ones. We’re going to be awesome next year, I feel it in my bones!
