NickSunderbruch got a reaction from Spartan in The Red Menace, First Overall
For those who have been following the Red Menace and his career thus far, it probably comes as no surprise that he was drafted first overall in the VHLM draft. But for those of you who know nothing of this Russian goaltending prodigy, you're in for a treat as he's likely the most prolific goaltending prospect we've ever seen enter the league. In his first season in the minor league, he played a total of 12 games, with a record of 7-3-1 and a .906 sv%, and a 2.34 GAA. For someone who came in the league at 80 TPE, that's really not that bad at all.

But if The Red Menace wants to continue to win games and play to his fullest potential as a starter then he will have to start being a max earner and cap out as soon as he possibly can. There's some speculation around the league about whether he will live up to his potential or if he'll end up like many other players before him. Ottawa picked Menace first overall in this years draft along with two other first round picks. Ottawa wants a cup this season, and @16zknows that picking up this stud goalie was a great choice.

In addition to being a prolific goalie, The Red Menace also enjoys being part of his local community, doing charity work for wherever he decides to play, and does clothes and food drives for children. So picking Menace in the draft was not only a good game decision for Ottawa but also a good humane decision. And I know this article doesn't make much sense, and that's probably because I have no idea what I should be writing as its been a good bit since I've written a good Media Spot that I could be proud of. So many apologies if this article turns out terrible, and incomprehensible.

Though I would like to point out that The Red Menace is currently working on making sure his rebound control is the best it possibly can be, as he blames his bad rebound control for his 1-6 record in the World Juniors with team Asia. The Red Menace didn't play the way he wanted to in that tournament, and for sure wants to change the way he's handled the game thus far. And if The Red Menace is to become an all star goalie then it's likely that he'll have to change a few things up and continue to grow at a pace that he has yet to accomplish. So the road ahead of this young player is going to be tough, but it'll be paved with his hard work and his unquenchable thirst to win.

I can only imagine how this player is going to turn out, but with a lot of hard work and dedication I'm sure The Red Menace can become a goalie that's remembered forever by the league. The goal is the Hall of Fame, nothing less. I hope you all enjoyed my article today, and I think I hear my dad coming home from the bar, I'd better go grab my helmet and jock strap. Stay warm and stay icey, seacrest out.

NickSunderbruch got a reaction from Juice in 10 Reasons why Kaberle is the Best Defenseman in the League
Absolutely love the article, Kaberle was there I believe either my rookie season with Toronto or my Sophomore, but he was a big part of the success we had at all. I love the guy and I love reason number four, Montreal bad. I also really love the list in general, very clear and concise article about one of the greatest defensemen in the league, and hopefully a hall of fame entry for the lad. Thanks for the quality article Juice my boy, 10/10

NickSunderbruch got a reaction from Spaz in Russias Greatest Goalie Prospect In History
I'd hope after my article last week, we'd all be familiar with The Red Menace, Russia's best prospect in history. If some of you don't know yet, well you're about to learn about this Stud. The Red Menace is the motherlands greatest treasure, born in Moscow this young man has a future ahead of him in the league. But saying he's the greatest goalie prospect in history is a stretch isn't it? Well I'll go over my reasoning for my greatly exaggerated claims in a few paragraphs and try to convince you, the reader, that Menace is a menace on the ice, and red to the bone. So I have three reasons why The Red Menace is the greatest prospect to ever be born in the great United Soviet States of Russia. Reason number one, the kid has literally bioengineered eyes that grant him the ability to see particles of light moving as slow as a snail, this man literally see's so fast that everything looks slow motion. But more on that in just a bit, my second reason is his lightning fast glove hand that is known to break the sound barrier when he catches a slapshot. And my final reason is that he's a communist cyborg cooked up by the Soviet Union in 1991 by scientists brought in to complete the most important task in the history of the world, to bring championships in hockey to the country of Russia.

So we're going to take a look at his bioengineered eyes that are able to see faster than the speed of light. The methods used to achieve this feat are unknown to us in their entirety and we only know the gist of it. Essentially all we know is that a bio-engineer names Gorbachev implanted a chip behind the eyes of The Red Menace, who's eyes were already able to see at near superhuman speeds as is. All they did was boost his inherent genetic abnormality to the point where it was almost anomalous in nature. In fact the SCP foundation had once attempted to contain The Red Menace only to find out that not even the most secure prison could hold him. Menace told an interviewer that his eyes were also capable of heat vison though it doesn't help him with hockey so he hardly ever uses them for anything at all, rather he likes his other ability his eyes have, which is to tell if someone is lying or not. Helps him a lot in contract negotiations. Yes this young man has no weakness and will stop every puck thrown at him.

The second ability this Communist Cyborg has is to move his hands at supersonic speeds, though he hardly ever moved above subsonic to ensure that the glass all around him doesn't break. Though he's been known to get ahead of himself on when he makes a big save on a breakaway he's known to accidentally shatter all the glass in the arena with just the sheer force his hands make when grabbing the puck out of the air. The way he's able to achieve this was purely from eating only one walnut a day and drinking the dew from honeysuckles and taking nutrients into his body directly from the universe. Doing so allowed him to enter a state of being only ever dreamed of by the greatest monks to ever live in this plane of existence, one of total zen and oneness with the universe itself. This exercise allowed him to unlock the rest of his brain capacity making him not only the strongest man in existence but also the smartest with an iq of over seven billion, and yes he does enjoy Rick and Morty.

My third reason is that this man truly lives to bring glory to the motherland and his people, in that sense he enjoys defending mother Russia on his days off of practice. He's been known to singlehandedly fight off entire militaries across the globe to assert the dominance of the Russian Federation. One time he was brought in late into the game of the Winter Olympics to win the game for Russia as a last resort. When the Canadian forwards shot pucks at him he deflected them away with such force that the pucks would fly all the way down the ice into the opposing net and score the goals. Russia was down 5-2 before The Red Menace was brought into the game, and the final score was Canada 5, Russia 17. And the Russians won the gold medal that year. His determination to win for his home is trumped by literally no one, and I mean that. No one wants to win more than the kid goalie, who I believe to be the greatest goal keeper to ever grace the world. The Red Menace does not have any weakness, and will exploit all of yours, he will find your deepest insecurity and play in a way that reminds you of it.

As you can see my "exaggerated" claims that this man is the greatest goalie prospect that the world has ever seen is far from myth and is in fact a reality that we all must live with. Hockey is his game, and we're all just watching him play. Now I hope you all enjoyed this article, I've always loved the role playing aspect of the league the most as I can just write down some crazy story and people will eat it up and give me positive attention for once. On a more somber note, I'd like to thank everyone for sticking by me for these articles and who have been there since my first day in the league. Y'all make articles like this possible and make me feel more motivated to squeeze these out at the end of the week after a long week of working and just general adult life stuff, so thanks. Also I think I hear my dad coming home from the bar, I need to go get my helmet and jockstrap. Smell ya later, stay warm and stay icey, Seacrest out.

NickSunderbruch got a reaction from KaleebtheMighty in My top favorite VHLM teams for various reasons
So I should start this article out by saying that I in no way have any "Least Favorite" teams. In fact I love the entire league and every team, though I like some teams more for many different reasons. Either from the way their logo looks and the general aesthetic of the team, to the locker room culture, to the GMs for the team past and present, if you've followed my articles from the beginning you'll have no problem guessing who is number one for me, and for reasons that I probably shouldn't have to explain but will anyway. So lets kick this list off, it will be a top five list starting from five working my way to number.

    5. Miami Marauders
To be frank, I just really like the aesthetic of this team.
I'm from Florida, Tampa Florida to be exact, and this teams whole pirate aesthetic reminds me a lot of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Pirate themes are dope as fuck, and a lot of people really sleep on it. Miami may be my second least favorite city in Florida, behind Jacksonville.
However I enjoy visiting Miami for many reasons, first off being Little Havana because of all the Cuban food trucks littering the streets.
Also Miami did win a championship like 4 or 5 seasons ago so it's about time for them to be relevant again.

    4. Mexico City Kings
This team is pretty dope for the aesthetic too, I mean I love the whole cultural significance the teams logo and aesthetic has for the city.
The Aztecs had some of the coolest culture known to man, and were even masters of calculus and math even with no contact with the rest of the world.
The Mexico City Kings are a dope team who I think have some cool jerseys, color schemes and even cool players past and present.
The day this team ceases to be cool is the day that the world ends.

    3. Halifax 21st
I love maritime aesthetic and the wide open oceans, with the smell of saltwater and large ships.
(A lot of my list is comprised of aesthetics as I've only been in the minors twice now)
Halifax has a nice cool blue color scheme that really makes the logo pop and makes the jerseys look like absolute heaven.
I also really love how the new logo looks, With a lifebuoy colored blue and white with a steel ship in the middle sailing the ocean, it's absolutely a dope logo.
I really appreciate teams who go for the maritime look and aesthetic and pull it off flawlessly, Seattle did it for me in the NHL but the 21st was the 1st team I know who was able to successfully pull the look off and not look tacky.

    2. Philadelphia Reapers
The team I'm currently playing for, so shocking that they'd end up on this list right?
Well I think this team is pretty dope, not only have I been to and love Philly, but I love the locker room culture of this team.
The GM @KaleebtheMightyis incredibly nice and was very welcoming when bringing me aboard the team as our backup goalie.
One of the things in the locker room is the Reapers Key, which is awarded to the MVP of a game and passed on before the sims to another player who the player with the key thinks deserves it, and it's done every day before sims. I look forward to the day where I get to hold the key for the first time.
This team is already looking like a dope one and I'm excited for what we can do this year.

    1. Las Vegas Aces
My first player in the league was one Nicholas Sunderbruch, I was picked up in free agency by the Aces and I loved the team from the moment I joined.
They made me feel like I had a place with the team, and I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to play with them for my second VHL season.
However in my second season in the VHLM draft they took me with their first round pick and picked me 7th overall.
Spartans words on the livestream were "We had to bring him back this season" and that made me feel really special, not only was he betting his first round pick on me but he was doing so while ignoring players who went on to have even better careers than I did. So I'm grateful I got to play with this team.
From the locker room culture, with the new channel "Bonk Jiggs" we just bonk jiggs and tell him not to trade draft picks and to trust the process and it's funny.
The Vegas Locker room is a place where people who don't even play for Vegas come to chill and talk and have a good time.
I could write a whole article about why I love this team, but I'm not gonna do that for the 500th time.

Thank you all for reading this list, and tell me what you think in the comments below, what should I do next week for my .com article? Should I make a power rankings article for the VHLM or a VHLM version of Good or Bad?

NickSunderbruch got a reaction from Patrik Tallinder in Nicholas Sunderbruch Retirement
Nicholas Sunderbruch, star forward drafted by Toronto and traded last season to London, has retired. After spending his time in the league he has decided to call it quits. Nicholas started in this league with the Las Vegas Aces, being offered a Free Agent contract by @Spartan. Whenever Sunderbruch was asked about his time in the Minors he always responded with sheer gratefulness and respect for Spartan who took a chance on him, and taught him how to build a player correctly. After his first year in the minors was up, Spartan decided to draft him back to Vegas for another chance at a cup with him. While they made it very close, forcing a game seven against Miami in the Semi-finals, the Aces cup dreams were unfortunately slashed. And with that Sunderbruch wouldn't smell a playoff chance for a few more years in the VHL. Being drafted in the second round by the Toronto Legion, who traded up in the draft in order to pick him, Sunderbruch started his VHL career hot, as he put up over a point per game in his rookie season. A candidate for ROTY, Sunderbruch's career looked like it was going to be one to behold. Yet as Sunderbruch was developing problems started to arise.

As Sunderbruch's development hastened the locker room environment in Toronto quickly became toxic, as two other players were constantly bashing one another and causing a locker room environment more like a cell than a place of play. Sunderbruch became very disheartened but he still claimed wellfare and didn't leave the League. Putting up 50 points in his very next season, it was an average season for a player who had once thought to have been a first line forward. Now on the third line Nicholas had much less minutes to prove his talents. Another season went and Sunderbruch put up another 50 points, a total that he was not too happy with. In the very next season Sunderbruch played a total of 51 games with Toronto before being traded to playoff contender London United. In those 50 games with Toronto Nicholas put up an abysmal 14 points, and in his last 20 with London he put up a total of 10 for 24 points in that season.

Season 79 will be Sunderbruch's last season in the VHL before he retires back to his home of Tampa Florida, and will live out the rest of his days playing Golf and teaching his sons how to play hockey. This career wasn't what Sunderbruch wanted it to be, but it was still a career with many fans and many friends made along the way. Nicholas would like to thank some different people before this article comes to a close. I'm now gonna stop writing the rest of this article as someone else and write it from my own perspective to give proper thanks to the people who I enjoyed playing for and with and people who made this career a good one. First I want to thank Spartan, I'd tag ya again but it won't let me haha, without you I wouldn't have had the same amazing locker room experience that I had with you. Vegas really does have the best locker room culture in the league and you made sure of that, I know you've moved on to GM in the big leagues and I'm glad to say that the worlds greatest coach was my first. Next I wanna thank @JigglyGumballs you were a HUGE part of the Vegas team that picked me up and molded me as a player, you always supported my wacky articles and absolutely egged me on to be the best player I could. Thank you @Peaceyou took a chance on me in the draft and I know I never lived up to that draft steal expectation, but I know you don't feel any negativity about it, you were an awesome GM and even went out of your way to clean up the locker room when it had become how it did, you kick ass man and I know you're going to win a cup soon, I can feel it man. Also a special thanks to some players, @Crstats23In my first season in the big leagues I saw you as my rival to beat and it really surged my TPE production forward and overall made me better as a community member, thank you for being an awesome former teammate, and thank you for being a fucking stud. Thank you @G_Rush You were an excellent teammate and another one of my rivals in the big leagues, much love homie. @Juice dude you were like one of the coolest teammates I ever had, I'm glad I could play even if only a limited time with you. @MattyIce You were an awesome AGM in London and I look forward to Londons success in coming years, love you bro. And another huge thank you to @McWolf you helped get me to a contending team, even if we didnt win it was fun playing some extra hockey. This article is getting so long and there's so many more people to thank and I can't put them all in here, so I just wanna say to the rest I missed, I think you're awesome and I wouldn't trade the experience y'all gave me for the world. And I hope to see some of you on my future teams or on the ice. Seacrest out.

NickSunderbruch got a reaction from JigglyGumballs in Nicholas Sunderbruch Retirement

NickSunderbruch got a reaction from Ledge in The Red Menace
A spectre is haunting the VHL, the spectre of a young Russian goalie in the likes of The Red Menace. Born in Stalingrad Russia this goal keeper is a force to be reckoned with, using his lazer sight eyes and his inhuman reaction time, Menace absolutely has it all.

The Russian spent many of his early days in the freezing cold winters catching snowflakes out of the air with pin point accuracy. One day while doing this a KGB agent noticed how precise Menace was and how quickly his eyes tracked the snow particles around him. Astounded with this find the KGB recruited Menace and honed his talents for an even greater purpose... to serve the motherland as a hockey player.

Using all the high tech training equipment the Soviet Union could buy, the young boy quickly grew his talents to that of a man. Stopping shots of nearly 150kmh by the time he was seven years of age. This goal tending prodigy was the most prolific player the government had ever produced, showing up even the most veteran goalies the country could offer.

Once The Red Menace turned 18 he decided it was time to show the world the power that is mother Russia. He dominated in exhibition games in the states, gaining the attention of Philadelphia Reapers GM @KaleebtheMighty impressing him so much that he offered him a contract to play backup and a chance to further develop into a star.

Menace was asked what he thought of moving to Philadelphia and here's his response.
"Nothing beats Mother Russia, however I'm quite excited to show the world what my country is truly capable of, and prove the pig dogs wrong."
When asked to elaborate, he opened a flasl from the inside if his fur coat (which if I may add was DRIPPIN) and proceeded to drink it and walk away.

Only time will tell if this young man will be who his country says he is, and if he'll perform as expected. The VHL is the toughest league in the world and packed full of the most incredible players to have ever worn a pair of skates and carried a stick. Menace will enjoy his time in Philly before next seasons entry draft where he'll likely end up on a new team, or even in the all new VHLE.

This wild Russian seems to also enjoy the city as he was spotted drunk at a nightclub off of Kensington just earlier tonight the same day he flew into the city. As reporters rushed to get an interview with the player he met them in the eyes and he took his bottle of Svedka and finished it off, mind you it was still half full, stood up, and let out the longest and loudest belch the city has ever heard.

Will this Russian defeat the North Americans with his KGB training? Will he be sober for his games? And is this article five hundred words yet? Find out next week when we take a more indepth look at his gameplay in Russia and his style of play. Thank you for joining me on this adventure, but I think I hear my dad coming home from the bar. I have to grab my hemet and jockstrap. Anyways stay warm and stay Icey, Seacrest out.
