I'd be game for like a graphic T or a crew neck sweater with the logo on it, Makes it ambiguous enough for someone to ask "what's that mean?". Besides everybody has a bit of nerd to them so I wouldn't mind.

Jacques Lafontaine - Junior Review [2/2]
Kekzkrieg replied to SlapshotLegion's topic in Archived Career Tasks
Review: Really awesome method in describing his odd story become a goalie as a defenseman. Lafontaine sounds like an honest dude just trying to be the best that he can be which is very relatable. His understands how green he is and looks up to role model players that he aspires to be as well. Glad to see that he finally got a taste of success in his new position and wish him the best! Well done! -
Review: Pretty cool idea on the use of synthetic ice in helping Odin develop! From the way it sounds, it almost seems like his parents were pushing him to continue playing hockey throughout his childhood which is an interesting factor in his drive to be one of the best. The details in his story are great along with the statistics and good take on clarifying that he was not on the ice for the final goal in his last game. Hopefully that'll change soon enough!

Aleksandra Olsen Junior Review [2/2]
Kekzkrieg replied to GlowyGoat's topic in Archived Career Tasks
Review: Sandra sounds like a workhorse that can skate circles around her opponents with ease! Great job describing her upbringing and the difficulties in pursuing a sport that's unpopular in her local area, especially for women, and her journey in following her dream of being a professional hockey player. I have no doubt that Sandra will crush it in the VHLM, you go girl! -
Aleksandr Aleksandrov junior preview [2/2]
Kekzkrieg replied to aleks's topic in Archived Career Tasks
Review: Really great method in storytelling his path to the VHLM. Glad to see that Aleksandr had a role model/coach that can help him fulfill that lifelong dream of his to make his family proud. Very well written and looking forward to seeing Aleksandrov between the pipes! -
Edwin THE Encarnacion - Junior Review [2/2]
Kekzkrieg replied to Tagger's topic in Archived Career Tasks
Review: Edwin sounds like a freak of nature putting up those numbers at that age! Cool to see a player with that kind of resume enter the VHLM with big goals (pun intended). Solid background information and statistics, looking forward to hearing more on Edwin! -
Kristopher McDagg "The Scouting Report" [2/2]
Kekzkrieg replied to Viper's topic in Archived Career Tasks
Review: I think how you formatted the Rookie Profile like a Scouting Report is definitely pretty neat! A Power Forward is definitely a cool archetype of a player to go for and I think McDagg will thrive in it. His pros and cons certainly define the role he's pursuing along with the added addition of being a great locker player. My only thing is just a picture to go along with it so that the reader can REALLY feel that hit haha Good job! -
Review: Great introduction in giving background information on the player and his personal interests and relations to VHL teams! Being on an expansion team can be rough in terms of stats but I'm happy to see that Perrins understands his role and knows the bigger picture. The method you chose to highlight pros and cons is clear and concise and very relatable which is great. The only thing I'd want to add is picture to go with the player... or a mugshot ? Good luck next season and well written!

Boris Boris Prospect Scouting Report. [2/2]
Kekzkrieg replied to Walter Fizz's topic in Archived Career Tasks
Review: Boris is definitely a big boy and I'm glad to see that he's using his size advantage to help solidify his strengths! His strengths and weaknesses were highlighted appropriately with a good summarization of how it relates to player's size, experience and impact on the team. Consistency comes with time and I have no doubts Boris will be a force to reckon with! Well done! -

1. Who is your early prediction to win the S69 Continental Cup? Hanging my thoughts on Malmo again, I think they can make the push. 2. Which of Tagger and Beketov do you see going 1st overall in S70? Or is there someone else who will come out of left field and take it? I'm going with Tagger on this one, I'm pretty biased towards Blueliners 3. Drafts are starting to get weaker again after the heyday of the 60s, do you have any ideas on where we could find new members? This is my first and only Sim League I've ever joined and I joined off the San Jose Sharks reddit so I think more efforts in posting in hockey-related forums would be great. 4. Does DCD win more or less than 20 games this year (our total from S68)? Most definitely, take that to the bank 5. Was Aaltonen's S68 campaign a one-off or will he get even better with a better supporting cast this year? He's only going to get better from here now that we have an even better supporting cast. 6. In what season do you see us making the playoffs for the first time? I know we're going to crush it this season compared to the last but I'm not 100% on this year however I plan on playing every game like a playoff game so we'll see!

Washington, District of Columbia - With Season 68 in the books and the Continental Cup going to Seattle, D.C. Dragons Defenseman and Assistant Captain Luciano Valentino took the time to sit down and reflect on his Rookie season and more. It was only a year ago that young Italian was a part of the Halifax 21st in their VHLM Playoff run to the semi-finals to be eliminated by the Ottawa Lynx. "I had a great team, management, and staff in Halifax and I don't think I would be here in the VHL without their guidance and mentorship", Luciano asserts. Going back to the VHL Season 68 Draft, Valentino did not know what to expect nor did he know where he was slated. "I know that the Draft was defense-heavy so I was worried that I'd be lost in the mix with other great defensemen in my class," Valentino laughed. Selected 5th Overall and the D.C. Dragon's first franchise pick in history means a good deal to Italian rookie. "Just the memory of it still gives me chills, I am beyond honored to have a new team in the league to put their faith in my play and I still hope to live to and beyond their expectations," Valentino recalls. Valentino was then voted as one of the Assistant Captains for the expansion team's inaugural season. However, his performance in his rookie season playing in the big league has brought his expectations down the earth. "It was a major reality check for me. Half of me was still starstruck in the fact that I'm actually playing with players I've looked up to like fellow D-men Jerry Garcia and Joseph McWolf while the other half was still trying to remind myself that I still need to push and develop as a player, teammate, and leader both on and off the ice." Valentino's main focuses were his skating, puck handling, passing and, of course, defense. He mainly led the powerplay with his speed and puck-moving ability setting up his new teammates for opportunities. On the penalty kill and 5v5, he wouldn't be afraid of blocking shots or hitting, which is a result of holding the second most shots blocked n Season 68. "I thought I had it sort of figured out but I always have to remind myself that there's room for improvement in every area," Valentino admits. Although Valentino thrived in these areas, he still wasn't up to par with the standard of his opponents. "The skill difference between the VHLM and VHL is astounding. The level of creativity and skill that the players in these league are nothing I've ever seen before and really shows how green I am," says Valentino. The Defenseman found himself making textbook mistakes in allowing his opponents to score with ease because of bad positioning, not communicating well enough on the ice, and a lot of high risk plays that never paid off. "I think it's understated that I have a lot to learn and that the veterans in the locker room like Mikko Aaltonen and Pekka Pouta have given us young guns great guidance in perfecting our strengths, ironing out our weaknesses, and promoting a winning culture as a team," Valentino confessed. "I couldn't imagine playing anywhere else. The fan base, the organization, the locker room is one of a kind and I wouldn't happier wearing any other sweater without that Red Dragon on it. I'm working and hoping for a better season my Sophmore year," Valentino finished with a grin.

1. What's your favourite part of the off-season? Visit the fam and friends back in the homeland and tell them of my rookie experience, continue pushing hard before the next season starts 2. Seattle won the cup in a rather convincing fashion. Did this surprise you at all? Sort of, wasn't my first choice but very happy for them and the fans 3. McWolf's name has been tossed around as a trade target. Where do you think the veteran defenseman lands? My guess is Toronto who's looking to grab a top-tier D-man of McWolf's stature 4. World Cup is starting up! Who takes it home? Hoping to root for the home team in Team World! 5. What is more important to you, success for your VHL club or success in an international tournament? Most definitely Club success! More games to help cultivate a winning culture in a team and as a player that can carry fourth internationally 6. Which of the four recent expansion teams will be the first to win the cup, and why? (Moscow, Malmo, Prague, DC) D.C. all day baby, that's the goal! We just gotta show Prague who's boss.

1. Cup Finals, Malmo vs. Seattle. Who takes it home? Malmo all day bae-bae 2. Which team will make the biggest splash in Free Agency this year? There are a lot of big names available. I think NYA will have some great opportunity to land some names, plus who wouldn't want to be in the big city? 3. With studs like Thompson and Cast retiring after this season, who will be the league's best player next year? Kronos fo sho-nos 4. With DC's 1st round pick(s), would you go with a F or a D? I'm hoping we grab a forward to help boost our scoring up and give us some solid depth 5. What kind of pasta is best? Or is pasta just pasta? (The correct answer is penne btw) Tortellini, all other options are im-pastas 6. What's your favourite VHL/VHLM memory so far? Getting selected as the first pick of the Franchise ?
