Well, another trade deadline has passed, meaning all new creates and recreates will be entering the season 76 draft class. Looking at this list and speaking for myself (and perhaps you've noticed as well), there's something crazy about this draft class that I haven't seen since I joined (regularly) in Spring of 2020. If you haven't noticed, I'll tell ya... OVER THREE-HUNDRED NEW CREATES/RECREATES Yeah, you read/saw that right. Currently in the VHLM, some teams are playing 4th liners. That's how far the VHL has come and it's a testament to the solid and continued effort of recruitment, word-of-mouth, advertising (shameless plugs, wherever those are), it's been ridiculous how many new folks have shown an interest. It's up to the VHLM management teams and dudes like myself to help with retention, and so far I personally believe it's paying off. Ok so we got the warm and fuzzy feels outta da way, here's the big question mark: VHL Draft is: Four rounds, 16 picks per round. That's 64 selections to be made into VHL prospects. ...that's roughly 20% of draft eligible players getting their name called... I don't know what happens in instances like this, but I'm sure things will sort themselves out. I'll provide a brief First Round semi-kinda mock draft thing here. For everyone that doesn't know the VHL Draft rules, there's a rule that a GM player can reserve his player for his team. It must be a first round selection, and he must have a pick in the first round. If he created a player and wants to draft him, but he traded his first round pick away, he cannot make the reservation, unless he falls into his lap in the second round. Three of the TOP 5 selections are GM players: Taro Tsujimoto @GustavMattias will likely not be the 1st overall pick, as he will be reserved for the HC Davos Dynamo club. Muffbeav @.sniffuM might go 1st overall to Warsaw if they finish last. He may or may not reserve the player in this case if he's feeling lucky. Sirkants Klamasteris @hedgehog337 will most likely be reserved for the Riga Reign. He may not. What do I know? I'm just speculating. Trade scenarios during the end of the post-season and at the draft are very possible, some GMs try to trade down when they have a reserved pick to get some extra assets for their club. If you want an example, go check out the S73 Draft Class, where the (arguably) top TPE earner was Malmo GMs Marshall James Frostbeard, who was drafted 16th overall, the final pick of the first round. Check out the (MASSIVE) season 75 draft class below. Some players have their dates highlighted in orange and some red. Orange means they haven't updated in two weeks, Red meaning no progression for over two weeks. These players will likely fall, meaning if you're in a good spot to be selected.. KEEP EARNING!!!! Matty Ice has made his selections for the season 74 WJC Team Canada Roster. While some selections were easy, some weren't. It was difficult to cut some quality players from the roster in favor of more promising young talent, but this team has what it takes. The roster is complete and I feel these guys can get the job done! The competition will be fierce... The odds may be stacked against us... But we play this damned game with Canadian Pride! You had better come ready to be active and play hard!

James Rose will be answering some questions now... 1. What was your reaction from the crazy 10 round shootout against DC in our 3-2 win? It was totally insane. I haven't been a part of anything that intense, I even scored and freaked myself out a bit. We took that nail-biter to the absolute end 2. Are you happy with your production so far this season? Somewhat... I think I can be playing better to be honest... 3. Are we living up or falling flat according to your expectations of where we’d be in the standings so far? It thought we would be playing better or be in a better position, but with all the new rookies that are slowly making names for themselves it's understandable, it's a process for now, but that can't be an excuse moving forward 4. What made you choose the position that you play? Playing defense came natural. Stay between the puck carrier and the net, it was nearly instinctive. Plus, I'm a big guy so that helps haha 5. If there was one thing you could change about the league what would it be? Add a team in Montreal. Please 6. Do you play many video games and if so what is your most played game in the last month or two? Ehh, been playing Fortnite, NHL 21, Goat Simulator (just for the LOLZ), Call of Duty Zombies, nothing heavily invested, just pick-up and play type.

And just like that... I'm WJC Team Canada's General Manager! The player I represent (James Rose) played for Team Asia during season 72 and he had a pretty good tournament. He logged a lot of minutes and played in every situation. Unfortunately, Team Asia didn't qualify for he knockout round. Last season, he finally got to play for Team Canada on a pretty stacked roster. So he figured this would be a much simpler, straightforward walk in the park. He was putting up pretty good numbers for expansion team London United, but this did not reflect at all during the tournament. He pretty much played at a subpar level, even though Team Canada qualified for the knockout stage. They were knocked out early on and finished fourth place. This time, I'm at the reigns of Team Canada, and I have a bone to pick... All you other GMs had better watch out... 152 words

***Matty Ice is invading Las Vegas to say a few things about Las Vegas, feel privileged by my presence folks*** 1) So the season's begun! We're currently tied for 3rd in league standings. How do you feel about our performance so far? As VSN scout, I'm pleased at Las Vegas' performance. Many young prospects here to watch develop. 2) The Aces haven't won a cup since S64, does this add to the pressure of succeeding this season? It should add lots of pressure, even if Vegas was defending last season's title. Let's see who steps up! 3) Who's your favourite locker room buddy so far? I got buddies with Jiggs and Minner. Fine folk here 4) What sort of nickname do you want to have in the LR? Or if you already got one or can't think of any, who's got the best sounding nickname? The player I represent (James Rose) hasn't really gotten one. He did mention he likes being called 'playa' 5) Which player across the league is exceeding expectations so far? Do you think they'll continue exceeding expectations?? Chris Reynolds caught me by surprise, I have my eye on him. If he continues working on improving, he'll be a dependable VHL player 6) If you were to recreate, what position would you go for next? Why? Centerman. Invaluable position for any team.

Review Time This sig sure has an exciting look to it. With this young team and all their rookies, it sure reflects the feeling of youth. Love the black and white touch, you could've gone with any color (besides pink) and it would still look cool. The team name font is somewhat uninspiring and meh. It does get a little bright in the top right, perhaps darken that and add some more dim light in another corner? Seriously, those signatures look fkn cool. Sick touch! Score: 8.5 10

Review time! I'm not too fond of the home jersey. It's too bright and the font looks a bit weird. Some black trim would have been nice. That away jersey is really slick, I'm really digging that black and gold V-styled look. The number and name font are real classic and stand out nice. 8/10
