  1. Yea p much feel like it'll be a 0 trading league unless contenders are forced to overpay. Just becomes even duller to be trying to make trades at any point of the season. Not a bad idea though to increase bad team player interest but it'd be real nice if the GMs themselves drove the player experience vs needing the league to do it for them.
  2. I could get the rationale for most of the things you said, but I don't get this part. Sure you pay high earners more money so they can buy more TPE while also protecting for depreciation, but these players price themselves off of teams. We already saw how marginally better goalies were getting moved by teams for costing 5.5/6m in favor for cheaper, slightly worse 3-5m goalies. I guess if you make a 1300 TPA player worth 7m, their production would probably look better since their teammates are going to be worse. 2 7m TPA players on a team means that you likely lose a 4 or 5m teammate for a 2/2.5m body. I think the main hurdle with the "middle class" or so is the hurdle we discussed when removing the M - making the M TPE cap 400 and making the bar to reach insanely high for a new user who isn't investing a lot of time into the league. Just clicking welfare and PF each week is not going to get players to the VHL anytime soon and then they end up too old to really be invested in by a team.
  3. Did I die and get replaced by @N0HBDY in this scenario or something
  4. 1. Yes I'll happily avoid the Victory Cup curse as long as we're narrowly 2nd and don't drop very far in the EU standings 2. The market is pretty shit, I think all most teams needed was a 4th defenseman and most of the teams that needed that type of player have acquired them by now. Should be a quiet TDL unless one of the NA wild card teams wants to make a splash. 3. I just claim my job pay which also gives me the theme week doubles for free, I don't plan on doing anything regarding the theme. Might do a look at teams' outlooks though. 4. Probably just that I wish I could invest more into SC, capped at 400 in the M so can't do much but when I get out hopefully I can make a big dump into getting my SC up. 5. I think WC is the most rewarding one since it's a best on best tournament, but WJC and Pro-AM are also fun to be around and look at sims to scratch the itch. World Cup is where I think the most attention should be though. 6. There's a few, just because I think they're exceptional players or budding stars, and also good users. Axle Gunner @Steve is always first in mind as a former Moscow player and one of the hardest working users in the league, Adi Dassler @BOOM is always quietly underrated and hovers around being a top 10 player at any given time, YaBoi Oven @Doomsday is an underrated defenseman to keep an eye on while almost always being top 5 these days, and Logan Ninefingers @Scurvy in VAN is probably the one I'd say is most due for a breakout - already over a PPG in his career in just his 5th season and should have a career year this year at maybe 100 points.
  5. Player Name: Kazuma Satou Team: Moscow Menace Render: Kazuma Satou (from the show Konosuba) thanks OD! love your work
  6. 1. I'll say 5, Maverick, Pombo, Ruutu, Obuz and Woods 2. I don't know about exact amounts but maybe like 3-4 depending on stats awards and then probably defenseman awards 3. Honestly there's not much to see on an all defense, no offense team such as LVA. Wish we had better defensive stats that we could track. 4. I'm not on Moscow yet but I probably will look up to a mix of Hard Markinson and Ronan Lavelle when building into the future. 5. Probably the TDL for LVA, to see whether we try to bolster the team for the rest of the season or if we look more towards the future. 6. Maybe around +55 or so? Hard to predict really, could drop back to normal margins or could keep breaking away from the league
  7. So I go on vacation and Moscow goes W6, how does this always happen

Welcome back @LastOneUp! Cheers on the chats, glad I didn't have to pay the ask of 2 1sts @N0HBDY
  9. Peacing out Jan 10th to 19th with little to no availability, then limited availability between Jan 27th and Feb 13th.
  10. He'll be a very useful center next season thank you very much
  11. Woods and Harrington clear
  12. My crocs are still glued to the ground but the suit's still on!

    lmfao
  14. Everyone point and laugh at @Ricer13
  15. Don't think STHS tracks it properly, but the portal does. I'd refer there for rookie leaders.
  16. Lets make it 2 in a row of full career players
  17. New YEAR new presser 1. Did you make any New Year's resolutions? Or are you just perfect and don't need any? 2. What would your player's New Year's resolution be and why? 3. Moscow has been feasting in the goal scoring department so far. Is this because we've played mostly rebuilding teams? Or do our high-offense wins over Riga and Davos indicate that our scoring can best anyone in the league? 4. While our offense is clicking, our goalies still have room for improvement. What are some words of encouragement you have for our young goaltenders? 5. Moscow currently leads the league in the standings, and with the Victory Cup curse looming, do you think we need to tank some games to escape the curse? Or is this the team to plow through and ignore irrelevant curses? 6. Who's been the MVP of Moscow at the quarter mark of the season? Will they still be our MVP at the end of the season?
  18. There's a pretty clear difference between role playing with player names and directly/indirectly facilitating hate speech. One would get changed, the other wouldn't.
  19. So everything in the league that isn't explicitly handled by a Commissioner of some sort or Head of PT
  20. Wicked has good songs despite me not being a fan of musicals in general, but making it a rock song slaps too. I shouldn't be surprised given how talented rock/metal singers are, but I didn't expect this cover to come out as well as it did. Also defying gravity, or rather father time, is about half of the Moscow roster. Despite being in his final season, recently re-appointed Moscow Captain, David Rashford @Knight, is still keeping up his high-flying, offensive-minded ways with a 4-4-8 in 6 games so far this season. It's rare that a player with tenure on the Menace can survive the harsh reality of the salary cap through their final season, let alone that a player can spend their full career with Moscow. I may be cherry picking stats a bit, but I can only recall Vladimir Pavlov, Hard Markinson and The Seabasstard as notable examples of career Menace players while playing in significant roles. While Rashford was a slightly late bloomer as an S89 draft pick who debuted in S91, he'll still be in the top 10 for Moscow games played - squarely at 10th. Out of those 10 players though, he ranks 5th behind the aforementioned trio and HOFer Duncan Idaho. Exalted company indeed. Additionally, veterans Catia Goncalves @cLoWn, Jarmo Ruutu @jRuutu and Obuz Schneider Canet du Bocage @Grape who were all part of the S90 draft class and face retirement at the end of S98 are still critical contributors to a team slowly moving towards a new core of players. Ruutu ranks second on Moscow in scoring with 11 points while leading the team in goals with 7, while Obuz contends with the league lead for assists with 9. Catia is also no slouch here, with a very respectable 2-5-7 in 6 games as a second line player. While Moscow's focus on youth hasn't been a secret - with more than half the roster now aged S94 or younger - these veterans continue to defy both the gravity of their old cement feet while defying expectations for players at their ages. It's steadying to have reliable players across the lineup who can score against all levels of competition an opponent can throw at us, and while our young goaltenders are finding their feet, their presence is undoubtedly a critical piece in the team's success.
  21. 1. Well I was very happy to have been drafted to LVA, it's a storied franchise that my agency has been deeply involved in historically. So I'm just glad to be here and hope to contribute! 2. I think if we can develop a bit more offensively, a deep playoff run definitely isn't something to write off. Defensively and with respect to goaltending, the back end might be the best in the M. We just need the whole team to click. 3. I wouldn't be surprised to see some potential mid-season adds via trade for forward help if the team remains in the top 5 after another week or two of games. Really depends on how we continue to perform to determine the direction the team takes, whether the team sells players to stronger contenders or decides to go all in with the defensive juggernaut we have brewing! 4. I'm honestly not much of a tea or coffee guy really, I'd take a nice sparkling water though. Either just plain carbonated water or something from Sparkling Ice. 5. Jeez think I had a nice fish and chips dinner that day, Saturday right? Probably not the best pre-game meal but it was a comfort meal with family so it hit the spot. 6. I generally prefer Warrior, I always used their gear in chel too since I thought it looked neater but CCM also has some pretty good stuff.
  22. Moscow legend
  23. Poor @Viper
  24. Big logo bc: No change in captains! We stick with: C - David Rashford A - Obuz Schneider Canet du Bocage A - Jarmo Ruutu However, I would like to announce that we have hired an AGM in @flyersfan345! Very excited to have brought on a budding first-gen into GM'ing and I hope to teach Flyers how to scam the rest of the league. Welcome to the team bud!
