Okay, here we are at the end of the regular season and one last time to look to see how I did at predicting where the teams would finish. What a finish did we have to the regular season with Helsinki Titans waiting until the very last game to know if they would be play-off bound or dusting off the golf clubs. In the end it was Prague Phantoms that seen the ghost and will be golfing instead. Oh, And HC Davos Dynamo killing Cinderella story of the season by finish ahead of the Riga Reign to win the European conference and another Victory cup!!

So, Predictions for last two weeks; how did I do?

Summary: Strong finish to the season by Los Angeles Stars; as I had stated I wasn`t confident in moving them out of the top spot and they proved that doubt correct as they managed to keep a five-point lead that they had heading into the final two weeks of the season over the Toronto Legion. Calgary sneaks into the play-off as it looked like no one really wanted the final wildcard spot and New York in my predictions were the biggest loser in this situation as they should have moved up in the past two weeks but ……..

Summary: So I messed up how strong or weak the schedule for HC Davos was in the final two weeks of the season but I really didn`t miss that much as I had the team going 12-8 when they finished 16-4 so only a four game or eight point difference. Congrats on the late season run and the Victory cup. I also think HC Davos ended up being one of the biggest movers of the season going from 4th in the standings to first in last 20 games. New Champion will be crowned with HC Davos now entering as the favorites; let’s see if the Victory Cup curse stay true!!
Now for the season review aspect of the article with a look at the expectations at the start of the season for each team and where they actually finished. It will be a bit different from last season since I also have the records from each week and we will also look at the positives and negative aspects if any for each team moving forward.

    Predicted Placements:
    🟰     8th European Conference
    🔻  13th League

    Positives:
Maxim Anisimov @McLovin(24-33-57pts)  and King Kisslinger @Kisslinger(17-24-41pts) have given the fans in Warsaw some hope for the future; add in what could be a very talented player with a high overall pick and the building pieces are starting to fall in place.

    Negative:
Prospects development just isn`t producing enough talent at the moment with no new prospects set to make the roster next season and only one first round pick this off season means the rebuild will continue to be ugly in Warsaw next season. Add in the fact that Maxim Anisimov @McLovin and King Kisslinger @Kisslinger will be looking for extensions this off season and only Tom Creeg @Creegan610(18-18-36pts) as the currently only signed player means GM @N0HBDY and AGM @Mysterious_Fish have busy off season ahead if they are looking to keep these two players long term and look to improve the roster.

    Predicted Placement:
    🟰     7th European Conference
    🔻   12th League

    Positives:
Likely Rookie of the year winner in Axle Gunner @Steve(32-41-73pts), Jarmo Ruutu @jRuutu(9-30-39pts) and  Obuz Schneider Canet du Bocage @Grape(6-29-35pts) all having a solid rookie seasons. All of course led by veteran Left Alone @okochastar(38-55-93pts). Add in the prospects ready to make the jump next season in Ellis Woolfenden (VAS) @D3X(35-34-69pts), Leif Reingaard (VAS) @Zetterberg(20-53-73pts), Thor Reingaard (VAS) @N0HBDY(18-41-59pts) and Goaltender Olober Syko (STO) @Spartan (2.42GA, 0.938% & 7SO). Oh, I also almost missed the fact they should pick up two very good prospect during the draft; with a top pick in the first round and one later in the first.

    Negative:
Could this will leave Moscow in an interesting situation where they have too many prospects? Prospects also take time to develop so if they don`t add any further veterans to the roster next season; they will be looking at another long season but one filled with future and hope at least giving the fans something to cheer about.

    Positives:
FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY Analfist @STZ(41-38-79pts) and Liv Slater @Subject056(10-52-62pts) had strong season as the new leaders of the team. They will be heavily relied upon to provide a veteran presence as the team starts the rebuilding process. Justin Lion @Emperor_Fun(3.88GA & 0.913%) was also a bright spot for the team after coming over from Malmo Nighthawks in a mid-season trade. Center Mikko Borisyuk (BRA) @Minebro(39-38-77pts) and goaltender Dalkr Vidarsson (ROM) @KaleebtheMighty(2.09GA, 0.942% & 5SO) should be joining the roster next season. Five first round picks with two of them mostly being in the top five. (it could be interesting to see if they flip or move some of these picks.)

    Negatives:
Similar situation as both other teams in the rebuilding stage as they have prospects but until they join the roster in a few seasons it will be ugly in Vancouver. Unless Vancouver Wolves bring in veteran or two to boost the roster performance. A few season away still as the rebuild has just started.

    Predicted Placement:
    🔺     8th North American Conference
    🔺     16th League

    Positives:
Top five forward in Jasper Davis @Josh(39-66-105pts) and top ten forward in Francesco Mancini @GioSivo(47-54-101pts) add in strong defense defenseman in Tord Yvel @Trazan(13-47-60pts). Prospects joining the roster next season in goaltender  WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW @rory(2.55GA, 0.926% & 3SO) and a pair of defender in Callum Gary Yannick Janser (VAS) @Daniel Janser(12-36-48pts) and Rin Kagamine (OSL) @Rin(14-45-59pts).  Top five draft prospect to boost the teams offense and the fans have something to cheer about even if the team should take a step back next season.

    Negatives:
Prospects pool is rather shallow and only having three picks this season means they will need to look elsewhere to improve the team as the young prospects continue to develop. Should take a step back next season and could be further set back if Jasper Davis @Josh decides to leave via UFA during the off season. Otis Boudreaux Jr @Otis Boudreaux Jr(4-10-14pts)and Zyn Westwood @Sullvino(16-18-34pts) will also be looking for extensions keeping the GM @thadthrasher busy this off season.

    Positives:
Top 5 defenseman in scoring Rex Wolffe Gregor @oilmandan(27-52-79pts) and Strong rookie season from Severus Targaryen @Banackock(22-36-58pts), Toby Kadachi  @ROOKIE745(6-7-13pts) and Simons Worst Nightmare @zepheter(6-36-42pts). Prospect Spanish Moon Moth (STO) @Renomitsu(46-46-92pts) should be ready to join the roster next season.

    Negatives:
Aging players on the roster in goaltender Clueless Wallob @DMaximus (2.94GA & 0.926%) and defender Scoish Velociraptor Maloish @youloser1337(13-42-55pts) will need to be replaced sooner than later. Not to mention retirements to Calen McKay @Kendrick(2-17-19pts) and Svatopluk Puk @Otaznik(34-37-71pts) leave the team looking to UFA market and the draft to find replacements but they don`t have much draft stock. It could be an interesting off season as Seattle needs to decide to either start a full rebuild or retool with veteran players.

    11.
    Predicted Placement:
    🔻        2nd North American Conference
    🔻       7th League

    Positives:
Most of the team returns next season and had solid goaltending from Merome Dilson @MexicanCow123(2.39GA 0.923% & 3SO). Managed to salvage the season by sneaking into the final wildcard spot in the North American conference and anything can happen as long as you make the play-offs. Still a young developing team so should only get better. Calgary has draft stock even if it is later in the three rounds and could be used to boost the future roster via trades.

    Negatives:
Lack of scoring production almost cost them this season so they will look for improvement next season in the scoring department with most looking at Randy Bobandy @AJW(30-29-59pts), Sadie St-Louis @sadie(26-22-48pts) and Oreo McFleury @JB123(26-28-54pts) for these improvements but also expect them to look for help via trades. Calgary will also need to look at rebuilding the defense as they have a season or two left with Malum Maellard @frescoelmo(7-56-63pts) and Phil Strasmore @Phil(8-32-40pts). AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment(10-25-35pts)  is set to retire at the end of the season even further complicating the back-end.

    10.
    Predicted Placement:
    🔻      3rd North American Conference
    🔻     8th League

    Positives:
Enter the play-off as one of the hotter teams in the final week and had a strong season from The Frenchman @OrbitingDeath (44-49-93pts) and Vincent Laroche-Gagnier @vincentlg2007(35-43-78pts); both returning for at least another season with the Dragons. Jason @Jason kranz(44-45-89pts) also had a strong season and places D.C. in a difficult situation to try to resign the star forward or let him walk as he enters his finals season. Solid young defensive core lead by Mark Calaway @Beketov(15-52-67pts). Prospect Theo Allard (COL) @InstantRockstar(14-29-43pts) should be ready for the VHL next season.

    Negative:
Will need to add a veteran presence on the back-end next season as Ryuji Sakamoto @der meister(9-51-60pts) is set to retire at season end and will look to boost the goaltending as Geoff Bezos @Quik(2.55GA, 0.927% & 4SO)is also looking for an extension. While they have a ton of prospects, they will look for some of them to take large steps in the next few seasons.

    9.
    Predicted Placement:
    🔺          6th North American Conference
    🔺         14th League

    Positives:
Scotty Sundin @fromtheinside(49-63-112pts) had an amazing season for a team that really had no business being in a play-off position yet making the play-offs. Goaltender Ryan Artyomov @Enorama(2.78GA, 0.926% & 2SO) had an amazing rookie campaign and should have heavy consideration for Rookie of the Year honors. Dank Turtle @DankTurtle(13-29-42pts), Legacy Gaming @Gaming Ringleader(39-47-86pts) and Tullemore Dew @Spade18(8-19-27pts) all had strong sophomore seasons and should be part of the core moving forward with new prospects joining the roster next season in Joshua Schwarzer (COL) @Velevra(35-38-73pts) and Lionel Collberg (COL) @Masu Chan(17-46-63pts). Two first round picks in the up-coming draft should add more overall depth prospects to the roster in a few seasons.

    Negative:
Retirement of Scotty Sundin @fromtheinside will have the biggest impact on the team as they look for someone else to replace the offensive numbers. Stronger than expected season also means expected disappointment next season when they take a step back but this could be softened if they retool with veterans during the off season.

    8.
    Predicted Placement:
    🔻     3rd European Conference
    🔻     3rd League

    Positives:
John Jameson @Frank(46-45-91pts) and Nikolas Kauppi @Tetricide(32-53-85pts) had good season with Jameson top 10 in scoring. Goaltender Matt Murdock @Acydburn(2.48GA, 0.929% & 5SO) had strong second half of the season and almost led them into a wildcard spot. Kyle Toms (VAS) @Ktoms22(28-38-66pts)  looks ready to replace retiring zack martinez @Sam_19(10-20-30pts) and defender Conference Prince-de-Galles (ROM) @UnkemptCL4PTP(20-42-62pts) will give the team options when it comes to back-end next season and if they extend Faith Hope Love @MMFLEX(6-30-36pts). Full complement of draft picks so they should have a solid pick this season and continue to add to future or have resources to trade in a retool.

    Negative:
With most of the roster returning it is hard to see this team missing the play-off again next season but a retool is not far away with all three of the forwards set to retire in the next season or two. Which is also the similar for the defensive core so the question is when do they start the rebuild or do they try to retool?

    Predicted Placement:
    🟰        5th European Conference
    🔻       6th League

    Positives:
Great offense led by the retiring Landon Wolanin @jacobcarson877(53-48-101pts), Daryl Dixon @Ricer13(30-63-93pts) and Kronchy Kardashian @Garsh(31-45-76pts); the later showing that he is ready to lead the Titans as true number one defender making Pierre Emile Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito(14-72-86pts) expendable? Fuukka Rask @Jubis(2.55GA, 0.925% & 5SO) took a step in the right direction in becoming a solid starting goaltender setting career best across all stats. Strong Sophomore season from YaBoi Oven @Doomsday(11-27-38pts) will see him looking for big role next season and a strong rookie season from Tommy Sleeves @dasboot(4-9-13pts); which Helsinki hopes continues develop into a solid depth defender in the near future. Grimgor Ironhide @FrostBeard(35-47-82pts) is more than ready to make the move to the VHL and the Titans next season (my early favorite for the ROY in S92)

    Negative:
Snuck into the play-off otherwise it would have been a disaster of the season for the Blue & White team from Helsinki with Landon Wolanin @jacobcarson877 set to retire; Helsinki will need to look for someone to replace his offense. Add in aging Pierre Emile Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito and Chip Stone @DoktorFunk(26-40-66pts); this teams are looking at a bit of a re-tool in the off season.

    6.
    Predicted Placement:
    🔻      1st North American Conference
    🔻      5th League

    Positives:
Goaltender Joel Castle @animal74(2.06GA, 0.938% & 3SO) had a slow start to the season but simple was fire down the stretch as he finished the season top 3 in goals against and save percentage, top five in wins and top 10 in shut-outs; while leading the Legion to the best goals against in the league. Jimi Jaks @ke1vi(39-42-81pts)  and Mac Atlas @v.2 (46-42-88pts) still in their prime and still under contract for another season. Another strong season from Bobby Bob @Baby Boomer(10-56-66pts), who Toronto hopes will take another step forward in becoming a true number one defender for the team. Still have their first-round pick so they can use that asset to help retool.

    Negatives:
Will need to address secondary scoring as Tomas Sogaard @Brandon(30-30-60pts) and Dens Oden @Snussu(16-43-59pts) retire. No prospects ready to join the roster means that they will need to look to the UFA or trade markets to retool the roster; made harder with an estimated eleven million after they extend Diego Machado @Dadam30(18-32-50pts), Harry Callahan @dstevensonjr(24-31-55pts) and Montgomery Burns @LastOneUp(16-29-45pts) , who are all looking for new contracts.

    5.
    Predicted Placement:
    🟰      4th European Conference
    🔻      4th League

    Positives:
Long term extension of Yaroslav Bogatyrev @Bojovnik(40-42-82pts) and the return of Henry Eagles @Greg_Di(42-54-96pts). Viktor Jensen @Advantage(25-50-75pts) continued development and solid defensive core of Skor McFleury @Alex(22-67-89pts) and Jacob Stone @scoop(17-52-69pts). Solid bounce back season after disappoint S90 and missing the play-offs.

    Negatives:
Cap will be an issue with Henry Eagles @Greg_Di, Skor McFleury @Alex, Ronald Johnson MacWallace III @RJMW(8-26-34pts) and Yaroslav Trunov @qripll(34-40-74pts) all looking for new contracts so they will need to figure out the cap to bring back most of the current roster. Maybe a slight re-tool but no major repairs needed.

    4.
    Predicted Placement:
    🔻     1st European Conference
    🔻     1st League

    Positives:
Second best goals against in the league only behind Toronto led by Jesse Teno @aimkin(2.02GA, 0.937% & 6SO), who should be in the running for an award or two at the end of the season. Two top ten scorers in Molly the Cat @JCarson(52-55-107pts) and Leonard Triller @Triller(24-79-103pts), both of whom should be returning for next season. Wann Kerr @VattghernCZ(44-52-96pts) did okay coming over to provide more offense for the United.

    Negative:
Lack of secondary scoring after Wann Kerr @VattghernCZ, Molly the Cat @JCarson and Leonard Triller @Triller with the next closest 46pts behind; this will need to be fixed. Defense needs a complete retool with Deron Nesbitt @AW13(7-29-36pts) and Hunor Solyom @solyom(3-37-40pts) retiring. Add in Sjin @Sjin(21-23-44pts) and Thor Odinson @GoalPlays(8-6-14pts) looking for new contracts and half the roster is set to change. It will be an interesting and maybe stressful off season in London.

    3.
    Predicted Placement:
    🔺      4th North American Conference
    🔺     9th League

    Positives:
Powerful offensive attack with three players over a hundred points in Sunglasses Joyo @JetsGoalie101(35-72-107pts), Todd Cooke  @KRZY(43-62-105pts) and Larry Abass Jr @RileyL(46-55-101pts). Continued development as true number one defender by Elias Lampi @Pifferfish(18-64-82pts) and solid secondary scoring by Napoleon Dynamite @thadthrasher(38-41-79pts) and Adam Rage @MrMom(29-36-65pts). All leading to the best offensive team in the league. Top team in the North American Conference, home ice advantage and will look to run it back to the Finals again this season.

    Negatives:
Goaltender Art Vandelay @Gustav (2.41GA, 0.928% & 6SO) was rather mid when compared to his counter parts around the league while tied for most shut-outs this season. He will need to be much better if Los Angeles is going to make a run at the Continental Cup and not be swept in the Finals for a second straight season. Age as this truly looks like the last kick at the can situation with half the team set to retire in the next two seasons. They can still run it back for another season if they think they can win but it would lead to a very long rebuild. Salary cap might be a bit of a concern but overall, I think they should be able to manage it.

    Predicted Placement:
    🔺     6th European Conference
    🔺     10th League

    Positives:
Never really expected to be Cinderella of the league as most had predicted this team to retool with prospect ready to join the team next season as they currently have an aging core led by AK92 Wit da Hoodie @hedgehog337(50-47-97pts), surprise signing Babay Shrimp @Blazzer(25-66-91pts) and Sock Monkey @chikn(34-48-82pts). Better than expected defensive numbers from retiring Brian Kowalski @Wheaties(15-55-70pts) and James Marino @Adrest245(9-49-58pts) that seen this team play competitive hockey all season and surprise the European Conference. Prospect ready LW - Eric White Jr (COL) @Mysterious_Fish(20-40-60pts), RW - Mclean Hoover II (ROM) @McLean Hoover(24-33-57pts), LW - Martin Kemp (COL) @leafsman(14-15-29pts), D - Mina (BRA) @Baozi(21-51-72pts) and goaltender  Red Panda (BRA) @Lemorse7(2.91GA, 0.928% & 1SO) meaning the future is bright for Riga. Add in two first round picks this season and this team is set for a retool rather than a rebuild.

    Negatives:
Only two players signed for next season will see the team very active in the off season as they try to extend players around what should be a rather young developing core. How they rebuild the team will play a huge role in how much the team falls back next season assuming they aren`t next season Cinderella again.

    1.
    Predicted Placement:
    🔺     2nd European Conference
    🔺     2nd League

    Positives:
Leandro Goncalves @leandrofg (55-57-112pts) had an amazing final season and tied for the league lead in scoring while leading the league in goals. Alfred Champagne @Anthique(39-41-80pts) improved his numbers for the second straight season and will be looked upon heavily in the future as someone needs replace Leandro Goncalves @leandrofg offensive numbers. Jake Thunder @Thunder(16-68-84pts) will finish his career with HOF aspirations after another strong season will see him nominated for a few awards. Lachlan Summers @kirbithan(2.24GA, 0.933% & 5SO) continues to be a top five goaltender in the league even after a slower than normal start to the season.

    Negatives:
Consistent talk of rebuild by the GM @Alex will not happen as long as they have Lachlan Summers @kirbithan on the roster. Retool is more likely as they look for replacements for retiring Leandro Goncalves @leandrofg , Pete Mitchell @Crstats23(33-35-68pts) and Jake Thunder @Thunder but with estimated thirteen million and David Jokinen @Ahma(13-43-56pts) ready to take over number one defensive duties; this really shouldn`t be an issue.

    Summary of the season:
Really unpredictable season with Chicago and Riga really having strong season. Death Conference in Europe seen the defending Champions miss the play-offs on the last day and last game of the season. Unexpected strong offensive season from Los Angeles Stars and great defensive efforts from London United and Toronto Legion. It really is setting up for an interesting play-offs and an interesting off season. What a great seasons!!

UnkemptCL4PTP reacted to scoop in Trying to construct the best possible Super Coach team
At the end of the regular season, I always like to take a look at the results of the VHFL and Super Coach to analyze the best possible roster construction. While I don't have a definite formula to show me the best possible team for Super Coach, given that there is a salary cap, I have tried to put together what I think may be the top scoring combination possible.

Before I get into the best possible team, I will first reveal the Best Value Team. This would be a roster constructed of all the top fantasy scorers per salary.

    Pos Player Name $ FP FP/$ F Jeff Lewis 4 159.5 39.9 F Lorenzo Cobberson 4 157.2 39.3 F Lucas Grey 4 146.1 36.5 D Tord Yvel 4 187.5 46.9 D Curtis Crumb 4 174.2 43.4 G Wumbo 3 136.1 45.4
This roster combined costs just $23 but scores a total of 960.6 fantasy points. For $19 less than the limit, this team would have placed 10th. Of course, you can utilize that extra $19 to improve on this roster, even if these players do give you the best bang-for-your-buck. In fact, the roster that I came up with as being the best only contains one of the players listed above. (Again, this is not a definite statement; I simply got to a point where I didn't feel like looking for more improvements, but this is definitely close to the best if not number one.)

    Pos Player Name $ FP FP/$ F Cobalt Burns 5 174.7 34.9 F Jason 10 302.7 30.3 F Alfred Champagne 8 240 30 D Tord Yvel 4 187.5 46.9 D Brian Kowalski 9 288.6 32.07 G Karl Pederson 6 208.8 34.8
This team would score 1402.3 points. Obviously no one would ever come close to this, but it's still fun to look at. Although Wumbo looks like a very good value, it became evident pretty quickly that spending $3 more to get a 72.7 more fantasy points was the way to go. Jason was another one that it was pretty clear should be included. He was the 6th best FP/$ among forwards, and the only one that was at a value of more than $5, making him a valuable upgrade. Some other players that I had initially looked at were Mark Calaway and Skor McFleury, but Kowalski fit better as the first defenseman to upgrade to, and sticking with Yvel as opposed to the high-value forwards ended up making more sense.

There is lots of speculation in the amateur scouting community about the S94 VHL Entry Draft. A lot of the kids are simply too young to have an established projection. There is a particular set of players however, 2 to be exact, that are starting to make a name for themselves in their respective programs.

They skate around the ice, shrouded in a mist of ice shavings and sweat, completely unrecognizable. They never get dropped off or picked up. In fact no one has seen them arrive or leave their respective facilities. They do not play a set position, often rotating seemingly at random throughout the games. They even mysteriously don the goalie pads on occasion.

Their teammates and coaches never mention them, and the commentators don’t have their number on their roster cards. The scoresheet just has some random symbols in an inhuman language at the bottom, and we all just assume that is the identity that these players are going with.

They have been obsessively studying tape of two existing VHL stars, Landon Wolanin and Molly the Cat. What relation each has to each other is a complete mystery, but sometimes if you walk the halls you can see the bright blue flashes of a Titans game, or the red, white and blue of a United game.

How do we even know these players are eligible for the S94 VHL Entry Draft? Well to be entirely honest we don’t. Commissioner Josh Da Silva can’t quite figure out why these strange symbols are even on the online draft portal. It appears as if the paperwork was completed and reviewed, approved by one S.T. Immediately after discovering this paperwork, the Commissioner team all took an emergency meeting, with people reporting a choral chanting of “Praise be to Simon” for many hours before the doors opened back up again.

So how do these enigmas stand up against the other prospects in their age group?

Well there doesn't seem to be a ceiling for these two players. They train harder than anyone else, they player harder than anyone else, and they are growing at an enormous rate. They seem to have been born for hockey. The only question is whether they’ll be able to keep growing to compete in progression. Then they’ll have to figure out how they match up with and against each other. There is a world where these are 2 franchise centers, or opposing goalies. Perhaps a defensive pairing, or opposing wingers. A blueline quarterback and an offensive dynamo. There truly is no telling until they declare their positions after the S92 Trade Deadline.

We’ve seen actual Board Games, Dinosaurs, and fictional characters make an appearance in the VHL, but only time will tell what form these swirling masses of ice and sweat declare themselves as. Whatever they are has the Commissioners in fear of the wrath of S.T. and amateur scouts around the world.

A few of these scouts have reported chronic nightmares, of these wonderkids standing over a large basin of blood, with a picture of a Quebecois man, with the eyes cut out.

UnkemptCL4PTP reacted to Baby Boomer in VSN Presents: 10-Season VHLE Overview Part 2
    @leandrofg
    Welcome back everyone,

In the first part of the VHLE’s 10-season overview, we talked about the most important moments of the life of the VHLE, but in this second part, we are going to look at the best GMs, the best and the worst seasons, the best teams, the best players and even some weird records.

    The best GMs

If we are talking about the best GMs of the VHLE’s history, we must talk about JB who was GM of the Oslo Storm from S83 to S89. During his time in Oslo, @JB123 won three Renaissance Cup in S85, S86 and S88 and two Thadius Sales Trophy for the top general manager of the regular season in S85 and S87. Another GM who stood out is the GM of the Stockholm Vikings from S80 to S84, @thadthrasher. Sales won the trophy for the top general manager, that would later be named after him, in S80 and S81 and he won the Renaissance Cup in S81. Then, we have @InstantRockstar (S82, S82) and @leandrofg  (S86, S87) who each won a Thadius Sales Trophy and a Renaissance Cup. Finally, I wanted to give an honorable mention to @FrostBeard, because I believe he did not have enough recognition for the team he built when he was a GM for Bratislava in the VHLE.

    The best/worst season

We saw a lot of very good teams over the last ten seasons in the VHLE, but we also saw some pretty bad ones and we are going to look at them. We are going to start with the best team the VHLE ever saw, and it is the S86 Cologne Express. The Express finished the regular season with the most wins in one season with 58, the less losses in one season with 14 and the most points in one season with 120. They also had the ninth best penalty kill in the history of the VHLE with a percentage of 85.20 and the least goal against in one season with only 141. Now, we are going to look at the worst team of the history of the VHLE, the S87 Rome Gladiators. The Rome Gladiators ended the regular season with the least wins in one season with 2, the most losses in one regular season with 70 and the least points in one regular season with 7. They scored the fourth smallest number of goals in one season with 155 and had the second most goals against with 372. Finally, the S87 Rome Gladiators had the second worst PK with a percentage of 67.60.

    The best teams

    Name of the team  # of Games # of Wins # of Points # of King’s Cup # of final appearance # of Renaissance Cup Cologne Express  720 441 wins 952 points  3 (S82, S86, S87)  4 (S82, S85, S87, S89)  2 (S87, S89)  Istanbul Red Wolves  720  375 wins  806 points  3 (S81, S84, S89)  2 (S84, S89)  1 (S84)  Bratislava Watchmen  720  366 wins  802 points  0  1 (S83)  1 (S83)  Stockholm Vikings  720  358 wins  777 points  1 (S80)  1 (S81)  1 (S81)  Vasteras Iron Eagles  720  331 wins  717 points  1 (S83)  3 (S80, S83, S84)  1 (S80)  Rome Gladiators  720  322 wins  716 points  0  5 (S80, S81, S82, S86, S88)  1 (S82)  Oslo Storm  648  311 wins  674 points  1 (S85)  4 (S85, S86, S87, S88)  3 (S85, S86, S88)  Geneva Rush  648  304 wins  664 points  1 (S88)  0  0
When you look at the chart above, you can clearly see who the best teams were in the regular season and in the playoffs. In the regular season, far ahead, we have the Cologne Express with their 441 wins and 952 points in 720 games. After, we have the Istanbul Red Wolves in second place with 375 wins and 806 points in 720 games. Both Istanbul and Cologne won three King’s Cups for the winner of the regular season. In the playoffs, the best team was definitely the Oslo Storm with four finals appearances and three Renaissance Cups. However, the Rome Gladiators with their five finals appearances and their one Renaissance Cup and the Cologne Express with four finals appearances and two Renaissance Cups are not too far behind.

    The best season by player

After talking about the best teams, we are going to look at the best players to ever play in the VHLE. When you look at the best seasons by a player, you immediately notice that S80 and S81 were seasons with a lot of goals scored, so a lot of the records are from these seasons. Indeed, the four players who scored the most goals, assists and points in one season did it in S80 or S81, Brussels Sprout @Liberty_Cabbage (62) with Oslo in S81, Kyosti Karjalainen @UnkemptCL4PTP (57) with Cologne in S81, Yun Chiang @nurx (57) with Oslo in S81 and Braxton Hunter @dshervill (52) with Vasteras in S81 scored the most goals in one season. Zeljko Ranogajec @ColeMrtz currently holds the record for the most assists in one season, as they recorded 103 assists in S81 with the Cologne Express. Three players had a season of more than 120 points in the history of the VHLE and it is Brussels Sprout (130) with Oslo in S81, Kyosti Karjalainen (128) with Cologne in S81 and Omi Aberg @osens (121) with Stockholm in S80. These are the players that are currently leading the league in the offensive categories.

    The best goalies

If we are talking about the best goalies, we must talk about the best one the VHLE ever saw, Orion D H Chiester IX @Donno100. Chiester IX played with the Bratislava Watchmen from S80 to S86 and won the trophy for the best goaltender of the regular season, that would later be name after his name, three times in a row in S84, S85 and S86. In 382 career games, he recorded 210 wins, 116 losses and 46 overtime losses. He also had a save percentage of 0.923%, an average of goals against of 2.63 and 25 shutouts. The VHLE also saw some pretty good goalies like Justin Lion @Emperor_Fun who played with the Cologne Express from S87 to S89 and won the Orion D H Chiester IX Trophy in S89. He ended his VHLE career with a save percentage of 0.930 and an average of goals against of 2.10. There is also Geoff Bezos @Quik that played with the Stockholm Vikings and the Istanbul Red Wolves in S85 and S86 respectively. He finished his career with a save percentage of 0.934%, an average of goals against of 2.19 and an Orion D H Chiester Trophy in S86.

UnkemptCL4PTP reacted to Doomsday in VSN Presents: Shattering the Glass Ceiling of the VHL
This hilariously awful image by @Doomsday is serving until the real one by @Zetterberg appears.

90 seasons is a long amount of time, 16 years in the real world, to be precise. It’s a long time for legacies to be built, for champions to rise, for innovators to find their way to the forefront of the league. However, after 89 seasons, all members who had been general managers of Victory Hockey League teams had one thing in common: they were males. That is not to say that there are not female members in the league, as there have been female members throughout the nearly two decades of the VHL. On the other hand, I’m not about to suggest that there is rampant misogyny going on behind the scenes either, as women have served as general managers in the VHLM and in other league jobs. Regardless, the metaphorical glass ceiling of ascending to becoming a VHL GM was shattered when @samx was announced as the new boss of the Helsinki Titans after the off-season resignation of Frank Funk.

When asked what went through her head when she got the news that she was the new general manager of the Helsinki Titans, Sam’s attitude was rather candid.

“I suppose my first thought was, well, let’s get to work,” she answered. “There was a lot of speculation going around of who was going to be picked. I was excited to take over the reins and bring Sam life into Helsinki.”

Sam brings seven seasons of experience as the general manager of a team, with six in the VHLM and one in the VHLE. She also served as the Assistant General Manager with Helsinki under Frank Funk, giving her crucial familiarity and positive relationships with the players on the team, a crucial aspect to her returning as the General Manager. Her work in the VHLM was recognized when she was named the Jack Reilly Trophy in Season 80 as the top general manager in the VHLM, the second woman to receive the award. The first woman to win the award was Megan Anderson, when she received the award all the way back in Season 22 when she was not only recognized as the top GM of the VHLM, but she also became the first woman to lead a team to a championship when her Brampton Battalion swept the Kolari Panthers in the Founder’s Cup Finals. But if women were showing they were capable general managers that long ago, why did it take 89 seasons for a woman to finally be hired as a VHL GM?

The Founder's Cup banner for the Season 22 Brampton Battalion, which Megan Anderson led to championship glory.

“For a while, I think it was just there weren’t women in the league to be hired,” answered Sam. “Until recent seasons, I only knew of one or two women who stuck around the league for a while. There was a period of time where this league wasn’t very female friendly. Luckily that has faded and women are able to feel more comfortable and confident going for jobs and just being around the league.”

As it turns out, sticking around was an issue for Anderson. She served as the Brampton General Manager from Season 21 to 24, two seasons with the Minot Gladiators in Seasons 33 and 34, and returned one last time to manage the Oslo Storm in Season 56. While Anderson no doubt had proven that she had the ability and skills to build a championship roster, her ultimate undoing was her lack of lasting power, keeping her from making the leap to the professional level. Another prominent female general manager was Katherine Blade, who burst onto the scene as the inaugural general manager of the Philadelphia Reapers in Season 65 and quickly established them as a franchise. Her passion for the job was second to none, and she quickly cultivated a culture of ferocious loyalty and tenacity with her Reapers, but it came with an unfortunate cost.

“Her passion was a double-edged sword,” spoke Thomas Landry II about Blade. “Blade was so fully devoted to developing her players that they became fiercely loyal, which in itself is a good thing. However, slights against them, whether actual or perceived, were met with her full fury, along with that of the Reapers. Again, on the ice, this was a good thing, but off the ice, it was not. It led to division, and while I obviously can’t prove it, I feel like it was what prevented her from making the jump to the VHL. She had the ability and the means, and I believe that she was running the show during Bushito’s absence in Calgary. I just don’t think they wanted the potential drama making its way to the VHL.”

Thomas Landry II, owner of praise for Katherine Blade, a poor choice of NHL fandom, and one fine mustache.

However, in spite of what may have held previous potential general managers, Sam pushed on, and as it turned out, the historic achievement of becoming the first female general manager in the VHL came as somewhat of a surprise.

“I had (known that I would be the first female VHL GM) when I was applying in the past,” Sam recalled. “But it wasn’t something that I remembered till some time later.”

What was clear, however, was her purpose and motivation for her new role.

“I’ve always said that I want to make some sort of impact any place I go,” Sam elaborated. “To me, the ability to do that had to come from getting some sort of role within the league. For the M specifically, my former GMs were crucial in my love for the league and I wanted to be that for someone else. As for the VHL, it just seemed like a natural progression at some point.”

When asked what she envisioned her impact being in Helsinki, Titans fans were utterly delighted with an answer that they no doubt had hoped to hear.

“Ideally winning the Cup,” Sam proclaimed. “Helsinki has been a bit of a meme team for a while now, so I’d like to hopefully get rid of that and make it a team people fear to play against.”

Sam wasted no time making an impact, acquiring cap space and Season 92 2nd and 3rd round picks from Malmo in exchange for Mo Probert, setting her up to bring in forward Landon Wolanin and defenseman Lloyd Braun from Calgary in exchange for a Season 91 1st round pick. On top of bolstering the roster for the upcoming season, Sam also brought in a wealth of talent through the draft, including using the first overall pick on defenseman YaBoi Oven, who made the pro roster in his first season of eligibility. Forwards Bruise Banner and Alexandre Crosby were added with the 16th and 17th overall picks, with hulking defenseman Tommy Sleeves selected at 23rd overall. Late round selections Barry McOckiner and Gremlis Lielais could also potentially factor into Helsinki’s future as well, and suddenly, the Titans have gone from a team stuck in limbo to a legitimate threat to contend while also giving themselves a pool of prospects worth being excited about. The immediate impact Sam desired has given Helsinki both a present and a future, neither of which seemed in the cards as Season 89 ended.

Helsinki Titans fans are once again ecstatic to cheer on their hometown team.

Sam also provided words of encouragement for aspiring general managers looking to make a similar impact in the VHL as well:

“Keep applying,” she implored. “Don’t give up if you don’t get a job your first, second, third, twelfth time. 95% of the time you aren’t doing anything wrong, there’s just not enough spots for the amounts of talented candidates you have. Don’t be afraid to ask why you didn’t get a job. As long as you aren’t a brat about it, generally people will be pretty willing to talk to you.”

It’s not only perseverance, however, and continuing to learn and increase your knowledge is just as important to getting your foot in the door.

“Pick other GM’s brains,” continued Sam. “You’ll gain a lot of knowledge before you are a GM and it will help you in the long run.”

The Helsinki Titans are on the rise, and while this is a story that is far from over, it could hardly have gotten off to a better start. But while this story is blossoming, there are even more waiting to begin. Perhaps the time isn’t right, maybe they aren’t experienced enough, or there’s more to learn first. But new innovators, pioneers, and leaders are out there, and sometime soon, their journeys will begin as well. We’re closing in on 100 seasons, and perhaps we’ll witness even more amazing feats along the way.

Congratulations to Sam on smashing the proverbial glass ceiling of the VHL and becoming the first female general manager of a VHL team!

UnkemptCL4PTP reacted to Spartan in S90 Moscow Menace Captains Announcement
Well damn, this season's team looks a lot different than last season's. I've mentioned it here and there, but making the decision to pull the trigger on a rebuild was pretty difficult - especially knowing that we could have kept all of our veterans and made one last push before we lost most of the team to retirement and FA. However, the organization has the opportunity to level set after 9 straight seasons of extremely strong performances - and 35 awards coming to the team and our players.

As we enter the S90's, like we did entering the S80's, it's time to feature a new generation of players who will lead us into the future. We've got a couple familiar faces left on the team, so we've got a nice mix of new and old players making up our leadership team.

    First Alternate - Nils Andersson - @Viper

Typically, I assign captaincy and alternates based on tenure with the team or overall experience in their careers. Viper and Andersson buck that trend, but for very good reason. For those unfamiliar with Viper, he's had a pretty lengthy history of inconsistency with players and a reputation of fizzling out early in his players' careers. When we drafted Andersson back in S88, Viper and I had some chats about how we'd approach this player and how we could keep him going, regardless of any obstacles in his way. Now entering his third VHL season, Viper is poised to have his highest TPE player ever, and has become a great voice to have in the LR and with our advisors. He's learned from mistakes in the past and has showed a lot of maturity since I first met him three years ago, and I'm very confident in giving him an 'A' here in Moscow.

    Second Alternate - Babay Shrimp - @Blazzer

A new face to the team, but a player and user who have already settled into the locker room quite comfortably. There was no shortage of suitors for Babay Shrimp this offseason, and despite Moscow's status as a rebuilding team, Blazzer was more than happy to join us for at least a season and be part of our organization and contribute to our culture. A veteran player who will be able to guide the young forwards on our team, we expect big things from Shrimp on and off the ice this season!

    Captain - Hammar Voss - @BOOM

A long time alternate captain for four seasons now, Hammar Voss takes a step beyond simply being the best defenseman in the VHL, to becoming the Moscow captain. I suppose we're buying into the meme here that Moscow captains always end up off the team the following season since Voss is retiring after this season, but it might have been the easiest captain decision I've made as a GM. Boom is involved in our LR in all aspects, whether it's providing our players with gorgeous sigs, helping to guide our team plans, posting boobs or just chatting with folks, he's been one of my favorite acquisitions to the team outside the draft. I hope we can send a future HOFer off with a great final season!

Congrats to all named to the leadership team!

They outmatch Miami ten to one in any category and I'd be surprised if Miami gets a game out of this series. Very reminiscent of Las Vegas v Mexico City from last season.

A player I'd say to watch out for is Karl Herzlich. His shutdown ability is second to none in the M right now, and will likely be putting up high sv % and low GAA games, absolutely brickwalling Miami on this one. ~McLovin

    2nd. Houston Bulls (48-14-10) - y vs 7th. Ottawa Lynx (24-33-15) - x
I fully expect Houston to run away with this series early. Their production and offensive firepower make them one of the biggest contenders for the Founder's Cup. While crazy things have happened before regarding upsets, I don't expect an upset to happen here. I say Houston takes this series in 4.

The player to watch in this series is HOU's G Devon Giguere, who was a top 5 goalie overall during the regular season. We'll see how he plays in what should be a quick series in favor of the Bulls. ~Chris Rock

    3rd. San Diego Marlins (49-16-7) - x vs 6th. Halifax 21st (32-37-3) - x
This looks to be one of the closest matchups we've seen in a little while. These teams tied the season series 3-3, and are now facing off in the first round of the playoffs. While I think Halifax can make a sneaky attack and advance to the second round, I think SDM will take this one in 6 games.

The player to watch in this series is Brad Marchand, who was 2nd in the league in scoring this season. I think he will be the biggest factor when it comes down to the wire and SDM is in dire need of a goal ~Chris Rock

    4th. Mexico City Kings (39-27-6) - x vs 5th. Mississauga Hounds (36-26-10) - x
This series is going to be extremely competitive, and I get the sense that Mississauga will pull ahead on this one. You look at the facts and they don't lie. Capped players in the top 6 forward core, a better goalie. Mexico has a chance will a better defensive core but it'll need to come out to carry the team against that lethal offense MIS carries with them. It's a series I very easily see going 6 or 7, and can go either which way.

A player to watch from this series will be Conference Prince-de-Galles. His elite two-way game as a defenseman will likely play a large role in who wins this series, and should he be able to translate his regular season production into the post season, it will make the difference in the series and likely propel Mexico past Mississauga. ~McLovin

While it's pretty obvious where things are going in the first round for most of these series, it will be pretty entertaining to see where these head! We are looking forward to seeing all the drama unfold before us!.

UnkemptCL4PTP reacted to KaleebtheMighty in Commish for a Day: The VHLE and Changes to the League
Alright, commissioner for a day! Where do I start? Well, the easy answer is the E. That’s the hot topic right now, and there is a good amount of people who want to see it gone. So I’ll use this opportunity as one of the first E GMs who stuck with Istanbul for a few seasons to give my comments and provide a fix that I think would benefit not only the E but the community as a whole. But first, I’ll provide some background that lead me to my decision I’d implement as a commissioner.

    ISSUES WITH THE E

Inactives throughout the E on many teams

This is a problem that needs to be fixed. It’s not a great look for the community as a whole to have teams that allow a lot of IAs to play good minutes that can go to an active member. I get wanting to be competitive, but as was stated many times before, the E is supposed to be a developmental league. Not a competing league, but more like the AHL in real life.

But this issue needs to be fixed by recruitment. We didn’t have a good basis for new members coming into the league. I think we can definitely improve here and love to see the new social presence now being developed on Instagram, Twitter, and now Threads!

    Teams without a complete roster

Even with IAs, I still see teams unable to field players in positions of importance, including goalies. I’m not calling anyone out here, but the goal again for the E was development and not competition. But I get why it’s done given the structure of this league and I’m hoping to provide a situation to rectify this.

The E is the afterthought of the community

This one hurts the most for me. I’m not a die hard “The E is the greatest league in VHL history” person, but as one of the first GMs and a proponent of the league in the first place I can’t help but feel bummed out that so many people hate the league. However, I can absolutely set personal bias aside and take a look at an issue that many members continue to bring up. Something needs to be fixed here.

There needs to be a system in place for all players to excel, have fun, and get what they want out of the league. The current state of the E - I believe - detracts from a player’s desire to continue earning TPE especially if they only earn welfare. They realize there’s a mountain ahead of them in the VHL and are told from multiple sides the E is garbage but they won’t do well in the VHL with the amount of TPE they earn. They spiral, and then they leave. And then we are left with a void full of IAs. The system needs to propagate an image of continuity that allows these players to feel like they got the most out of their career.

Tiring to have to go through 2 developmental leagues and then go to the VHL.

It has turned into quite the grind to earn up through the M, up through the E, and then make your presence known in the VHL. I think this grind is just a tad bit too long now, and also pushes new players away after being told twice “Ok you earned too much now for this league, now you get to move up to another league where you have to earn more to be good.” Let’s face it, a lot of people who do sim leagues don’t have a whole lot of time in their lives and just want to join something where they have a community that they enjoy and get to see their player excel.

    CHANGES TO LEAGUE STRUCTURE

While this is a short quick list of current issues, I want to do my best to try and provide some background that leads me to start making changes as a “commissioner”. As it stands, here is the structure of the community for players:

While the possibility of being sent down does exist, it hardly ever happens and I don’t find it necessary to include it in this diagram.

This is where my changes come into play. From my point of view, having GMed in both leagues and now having the experience of being here for a time (not as long as some of you folks but still), the structure of the developmental path and the leagues needs to be altered. This is a monumental task, but I think it needs to be done. We need two separate paths, one for those who earn a lot of TPE and want to seriously compete and a second one for players who want to earn welfare and enjoy their entire career.

From my rudimentary math, a welfare only player would earn something in the ballpark of 700-750 TPE in their entire career without factoring in depreciation. While it may look like a lot, in the current system, they are spending 2 seasons in the VHLM, 2-3 seasons in the VHLE, and then 3-5 seasons in the VHL, They have 1 great season in the M and the E separately, and then do ok in the VHL before they are done. Not gonna lie, it doesn’t look appealing to keep pushing yourself if the end goal is to be a bottom forward on a VHL team and then you retire.

So we need a system that can cater to those players and push them to compete on a team for a longer period of time for their enjoyment, but still maintain a path for players who max earn to go to the VHL quickly. So here’s a structure I would propose for our leagues that wouldn’t require any folding of any league:

This initially looks the same, but there are differences. The caps have all been changed for the M and the E. And the focus of the E shifts from being an AHL equivalent team to a proper KHL equivalent team. The VHLM shifts back to being a combined juniors/AHL league where players develop.

From this, let’s look at the career progression of two players: player #1 who is a max earner, and player #2 who earns welfare. Let’s assume that no change in earning is seen throughout both player’s careers. And then let’s assume both players create a player at the exact same time at the first opportunity and move through a similar model of progression, one with 12 TPE every week and one with 6 TPE every week.

    PLAYER #1

We’ll call this player Earnest Max purely for fun. Earnest Max creates and joins the VHLM on a team of their choice, having a pretty good season and earning up to 275 TPE in that season. They still spend another season in the M but are drafted in all 3 leagues. Their second season in the M is a career season for them and they begin banking in the middle of that season.

At the end of their second M season, they have a choice on where to play. It’s a very similar situation to what is in play now, but the leagues are different. The E isn’t a stepping stone, it is a league where this player can compete, fully earn, and apply that TPE instead of banking for an entire season. But if they choose to forgo it, they can go right to the VHL and gun for a long career that we normally see.

After a long career in the VHL, depreciation hits. With how depreciation is set up now, we can realistically expect to see a player dip around or below the 700 TPE mark. With this, we can also help these players by offering them a chance to be sent over to the VHLE as a veteran to play their final season there and still produce at an elite level. Not only would this offer Max a chance at a good final season, but it would offer the VHL a chance at cap relief since they would not be responsible for fielding that player. While this option does exist in the current model, the likelihood of it happening is extremely low. This new model increases that chance, allowing the VHL teams to compete more as well as offering VHLE teams to field a veteran superstar to compete for a season.

For this player, there isn’t much change. But it does provide an increase in flexibility and a better end career for these players who are hit hard by depreciation.

    PLAYER #2

This is where the big changes happen. We will call this player Malcom Mid. Mid creates and earns through welfare and practice for a full season in the M and earns up to 120 TPE. They are drafted in all leagues, and then spend 2 more seasons in the M competing at a level where they can produce and enjoy the history of the M. Friends are made, GMs who excel with retention keep them going and prep them for their careers.

After those 2 seasons, this player is at roughly 300-320 TPE. They move up to the VHLE to play for the team that drafted them where they can be offered an extension since they would be in the final season of their rookie contract from their draft. They would primarily stay in this league since they would earn about 700-750 max tpe before depreciation. For this, depreciation would also have to affect players in the VHLE after a set number of seasons, meaning total seasons played in the majors would also include seasons in the VHLE.

This also means that draft picks in the VHLE hold value on players who will play in this league longer, giving other players a chance of being a top draft pick. They would have the functionality of a league where they can compete without being blocked out by players max earning.

    DISCUSSION

While this is a rough explanation for the change, I think this change is vital to retention and providing each player with the opportunity to pursue the career they’d want while maintaining competitiveness across all 3 leagues. Every player would have a chance to excel and work to earn to compete without a constant grind through multiple leagues. The E is relevant and doesn’t feel like another stepping stone. And those who don’t want to partake in the E likely won’t have to while they get to enjoy the M and the VHL.

This all faces issues if league recruitment doesn’t bring in more members. Granted, this would initially lead to teams folding I believe, but this structure works when we have enough welfare players, enough max earners, and players in between who can keep teams filled.

Additionally, this plan doesn’t explore any IAs along the point of a career and how we can go about that issue, but I’ll save that ordeal for another time since this whole media spot is getting very wordy.

Also, this proposition does not mention changes to current players’ careers if a change like this is implemented. That should be explored if something along these lines is actually considered.

To help the community as a whole and improve the careers for all players, I think a structural change to the leagues as proposed above would bring about a good direction forward that allows for all 3 leagues to be relevant and constructive to a player’s career regardless of how much they earn. As commissioner for a day, this is a change I would make. While it is only one issue tackled in a sea of posts for this theme week that explore other issues, I felt that this current dilemma required some serious thought and focus. Also, the fact that I have hit 2000 words on just this topic means I really don’t have a need for exploring other topics 😁.

Thank you for reading, and I’d love to explore this more in additional comments if possible. If it’s a terrible idea, let me know! If you like it, let’s discuss more! Cheers!

If I were to be commish for a day I’d focus on two additions; relocations/expansions and new records. The first one applies to the VHLE and the VHLM while the second focuses on the league as a whole. None of this will ever happen of course cause I refuse to do more than one media spot a season. This will not change so buyer beware on drafting me in the first round.

    Relocation/Expansion
The first half, relocation, will involve the VHLE. Since the idea around the VHLE is to represent the European men's leagues in real life, at least I think it is, then the teams should match those locations. The leagues I’ll be using are the KHL, SHL, LIIGA, NLA, DEL, ICE, Extraliga, and Slovak Extraliga. In this case will let Stockholm, Geneva, Bratislava, and Cologne remain in their locations. Vasteras, Rome, Istanbul, and Oslo will have to move to a new town.
To represent LIIGA I’ll send Vasteras over to Turku to revive the outlaws. They will play in the Gatorade Center just outside Turku. Sorry to all the Vasteras fans. To represent the KHL I’ll be moving Istanbul to St. Petersburg where they’ll be playing in the Ice Palace, same as SKA St. Petersburg. Namewise I don’t have any good ideas yet, maybe the onions (Though that is the wrong city). For the Extraliga I’ll move Oslo down to Brno. For the name I was thinking Royals since Brno sounds like Bern, not my best work. They’ll play in Winning Group Arena, let's hope they live up to that name. Since I’m going over the arenas I’ll add that each team will have their own arena and can change the name at will. Finally, for the ICE I’ll move Rome to Vienna. They can be the Fingers. They’ll play in the Erste Bank Arena. That’ll finish up the VHLE section.
The other expansion I want to make is to return the VHLM to 12 teams. To do this I’ll add a team in New York but call them the New Amsterdam Tijgers #BringBackTheTijgers. For the west, I’ll give a team to Denver, call them the Ruffaloes. It feels weird having the VHLM not be twelve teams.

Some of these are just additions I want to be added to the portal now and others are fun suggestions. On the “This needs to be added ASAP” side we’ve got VHLE Awards. The only award any of my players has won is a VHLE Award and I want to see that on the portal. This would also help legitimize the league as it would have a dedicated spot in the HOF. Along with that would be adding a VHLE option to career statistics, single season, etc.
On the “Fun Suggestions” side I’d like to see a counter for the most wins of an award. I.E. the Kanou would have a sentence below the award description saying that Rayz Funk is the leader in Kanou wins with 4. This would create a quick way for new players to learn about some of the greats from before their time. It could also lead to a once-every-20-seasons or so vote to see if the awards name should be changed to better reflect who represents it best; I.E. the Duncan Idaho Trophy instead of the Boulet.

If any of these changes were to come into effect I’d rather it be the VHLE awards one. I want to have a visible trophy case since none of my players will ever have a major trophy at this rate.

    1. Well, we got eliminated in the first round. How're you feeling, and what's on your mind?
    2. Currently London, Davos, Calgary and Seattle are left alive. Who will you root for out of the remaining Cup contenders? Any particular reason for why?
    3. If we're looking on the bright side, our early postseason exit along with Prague's early exit gives us 2 top 12 picks this draft. Anyone you have your eye on, or any position you think the organization should be looking at?
    4. The World Cup is coming back this offseason, do you think you'll get picked to play for a national team? Do you enjoy playing in the World Cup?
    5. We've got a fair amount of players that need to be re-signed this offseason. What would you say to them if you were in my spot for contract negotiations?
    6. Lastly, we've officially seen the end of Kyosti Karjalainen @UnkemptCL4PTP's career - all of which was spent with Moscow despite initially being drafted to Helsinki. Any final words for one of the most loyal and consistent players in team history?

Juan Ceson has a very large house. Truthfully, he has many large houses but this article is just about one of them. It’s a very, very, very fine house and it has two cats in the garden. There is also something else very special in his garden. It is the most special thing Juan owns (apart from Ivan the Zampony, his yacht and many other things). You see, there’s a gnome at the bottom of his garden and its name is Twists. There’s a gnome at the bottom of his garden and all that it can do is stand there all night and stand there all day. The neighbours say it’s a terrible sight. There’s a gnome at the bottom of Juan’s garden and its name is Twists. Juan doesn’t care what his neighbours say because he loves his gnome Twists and will never get rid of him. He will, however, steal Twists hat and wear it so he looks even cooler than he normally does.
