Eh, it's not for me. Good logo work, colonizing. Background is interesting to decipher. Never big on scratch static art but that's personal taste. The style kinda hurts the definition of different pieces together like the hand and body on the right arm. 4/10 for me. You went in an odd direction as you said yourself. Can never be mad at that.

Super solid work. Logo swap and liquified, font is excellent on both fronts. Interesting choice to have both styles full though, most do on part one way and the other signature styled. Love the capital in the background, 10/10 work.

Love this weekly breakdown. Solid effort and analysis from you on each team and the changes in statistical progression as the weeks go on. I do wish this included some love for goaltenders though. Important position of the game that is vastly unrepresented on here. Hello Marlins. What a fantastic week of VHLM action we got this past week with a just fiery 13-3-1 record over that stretch. Amazing work everyone. As many of you may know, I will be going in for surgery (it’s pretty minor in my opinion) Tuesday to repair the tear in my arm, leaving a 4-6-week recovery window to fill. I dig it. Kind of a blanket review for all of them. It's a cool concept and design. Always appreciate the vintage stuff. If I had any criticism it's that it's all the same mask. I mean, there were different types of the old school mask. Otherwise solid paste and color stuff here. 7.5/10 for me.

Good read, I think ultimately this is Rhynex's trophy to lose right now with where he has New York playing right now but that could change easily. Sunderbruch has more upside long term in my opinion. Toronto I believe is heading towards a big run as a unit. They've got strong stuff and were good last season even. For ROTY I think Rhynex is the current frontrunner because he's so much more focused on as the point leader whereas Sunderbruch has some high level performances around him as well. If you asked me who gets closer to a cup though, Sunderbruch is on a scary Toronto roster this season that'll be even better in the postseason. Solid 9/10 on the article, could've used some graphics or colors though.

Dear VHL Community: In an attempt to fill some time this week and give a little explanation for the absence of The Long & Short of It I wanted to be open and transparent about the initial goals of this project, what it meant to me for this league, and the future of the article. In this week’s edition, we’ll dive into it at best I can by addressing things individually before putting the full picture together. To begin, I want to discuss the origins of this article and why we’re here, what the point was to begin with. For the most part, I wanted to write detailed articles that showcased history and personality for our spotlighted pick, originally meant to be just players. But once we started to dive into it, the realization became clear that we could do any variety of topics and make compelling reading for the viewer. It was never going to capture the imagination of this community as a weekly segment but we wanted to build a foundation that could that off weeks to make something special, while still honoring those that we chose for the piece. As a writer for this article, I want to reach out to give people the comfort to answer questions and leave comments freely without their words being misrepresented. It’s an important fundamental of this series that we leave any and all responses from our guests unedited. In the original vision, and still to this day, we want to have control on who we review. That’s why you’ll likely never see a poll or a forum to ask who wants to be in it. The idea is to build prestige around it as something everyone will clamor to be a part of. With that, we’d hoped to push out an article every Wednesday, barring for large spotlight articles like you’ve seen with the VHLM feature. There have been some setbacks I’m personally not proud of. Time constraints and a few mistimed responses have pushed The Long & Short of It into panic mode to get something out there. It was something I didn’t want and unfortunately, it’s happened twice now. First with @DarkSpyro, who unfortunately we just never got the finishing touches on a piece for Jimmy Spyro, something we’d love to explore again down the road. This led to our piece with Gumballs. In this series of L&S articles which includes five pieces, @JigglyGumballs's is the article I’m the least proud of personally. I feel I didn’t do enough service to Jiggs and it is 100% in the cards to remedy that personal failure down the line if he’s up for it. It was a piece that I feel I may have rushed to meet and unrealistic deadline and for that I apologize. Where we’ve fallen off is my dreamed schedule of a Wednesday weekly release. I’ve attempted for a third time to get on a consistent schedule for this series and have failed on every front. Where time and life concerns tore me away previously, this time it’s a legitimate injury. Over the weekend recently I helped my sister move and during the move I picked up an injury and for now, I have a little less mobility in my left arm. Recovery time is looking like 4-6 weeks. For that reason, I’ve delayed The Long & Short of It as a series, giving out the proper time to work articles. Once I am healed up and it doesn’t pain me to write long articles like this we will be back for the return of The Long & Short of It. For now, however, The Long & Short of It must be postponed indefinitely, and I will be moving to doing strictly podcasts and short article stuff as I recover. I thank everyone for the support on the previous articles and hope to be back strong soon.

1. Mikko Lahtinen is on the cover and yeah, probably. The game would be just as busted as the NHL version though. 2. King. I'm already on pace to put up 61 points which would be double my rookie totals and I've been so much better all round this season. Shoutout to Sandstrom though, who has had a great start to the season in his own right. 3. Money. I've been pushing for a money rework to make the store and finances more palatable for the users but so far haven't gotten passed the looking phase. I'm disappointed with how little money effects anything even cosmetically. 4. For me it's going to be Points and Faceoffs. I really need this to be a big step season or what am I doing points wise. And as a Center I feel so strongly that you should value Faceoffs almost more than production. You start the play, and I value being on the right side of that. 5. Sandstrom, Adrienne, and V. We're a team, we've been through it all. 6. Probably King. I keep things close and really only go off when something outrageous happens.
