  1. 1. I had a quick glance last 2 drafts 2. I've never played hockey before 3. I haven't checked the stats but I will go with the winning goaltender 4. Nope, I was not selected 5. Considered we didn't get anywhere, I'd say Thads was MVP, we went as far as he led us 6. I'm not sure, each season has a problem for me; spring = hayfever, summer = heat, fall might be the best, winter = cold lol
  2. I'm in and I don't mind the extra +1 tpe
  3. Very nice article! Did not expect 2 Full Rounds! Thought you would only do Round 1. Very nice use of display making it very easy to read. Could have included player's position in their title/name to make it a bit easier for lazy scouts haha! Awesome work! 10/10
  4. Good article/interview! Easy to rad with good use of sentence structure, bold and italics. Good use of in body tag, a bit on the short side, but an overall well though out interview. Good job! Keep up the good work and best of luck at the draft! 9.5/10
  5. SITR: New York Americans dlamb S76 End of Season Interview Host: Welcome back! Thanks for tuning into VHL Network, Stick In The Rink! With the VHL S76 Finals underway and S76 coming to an end, we caught up with a special guest. Today, we found a chance to speak with the AGM of the VHL New York Americans, @dlamb! Hello dlamb! Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to talk with us today! dlamb: Thank you for having me! It's always a pleasure to speak with you guys! Host: I know you must be quite busy with the draft and offseason coming right around the corner. So let's begin, what are your thoughts on the New York Americans' season in S76? Did the team meet expectations and year-end goals? dlamb: I don't think we had a ton of expectations, it was sort of a transition year with the main core and future of this team finally getting together. I think it was a solid season, and a building block for the future. Host: Although it was a transition year and a season for your main core to build chemistry, what did you feel was the biggest surprise in S76? dlamb: For the Americans, it was definitely (Cowboy) Prout @Prout requesting a trade. That came out of left field, and I don't think anyone would have seen it coming. As for the VHL overall, it has to be the two expansion teams (Warsaw and Chicago) meeting in the finals. Host: What are your thoughts toward the upcoming draft? Who looks to be top of the American's list for the draft? What are the team's needs for this draft? dlamb: I don't want to say too much pre-draft, you never know who is listening. But I will say, we are definitely happy to be picking 4th in this draft, there is lots to like about the top end. The current team needs are definitely defense, so you may see us going there with that pick, but you never know who drops and who doesn't. Host: Fair enough, secrecy is important right before the draft. What are the team's objective this offseason? Drafting is an important part, but what about free agency? Is there a first priority and focus? Any in-coming trades? dlamb: This looks to be one of the best Free Agent classes ever, so we are definitely planning to be active. Sometimes you have to spend some money to improve your roster, and we will be looking to do that. As for trades, again, I can't say too much, but there have been talks, but nothing concrete yet. Host: And with $28.5 Million Cap Space, New York certainly have plenty of leeway and spending room! Defenseman Cowboy Prout asked for a trade and was traded. That's a big piece on the blueline! What's the plan for replacement moving forward? dlamb: I agree, it hurt to lose him, he was part of the future. Alas, we have to move on, and there is no absolute plan to replace him yet, whether it be through the draft, free agency, or trade. Honestly, any of those are a possibility, we'll see how it shakes out. Host: After witnessing the surprising result for Rookie of the Year last season, and now having a better understanding toward the criteria. Who do you feel will be the Rookie of the Year for S76 in the VHL? dlamb: Haha (dlamb calmly laughs) Yeah, I think you know who I would've voted for last season. I think New York American's own Red Lite @Tate and Chicken Wing @chikn are towards the top of the list, but you could also see one of those Riga rookies like Linus Zetterstrom @Ledge_and_Dairyor Cabe McJake @RedSus taking it. My vote would definitely be (Red) Lite. Host: Yes, and both of New York's star rookies of S75 had terrific seasons in S76! What are the plans and goals for Season 77? What are the expectations for Season 77? dlamb: After this offseason, I believe we are shooting for a playoff appearance. It's been too long for our team and the fans in this rebuilding stage, so it's finally time to break through and make a post-season appearance. I think our whole roster is on the same page with that. Host: Great! Looking forward to it! Is there any parting words you want to give to the audience and the fans out there? dlamb: Thank you for another opportunity for this interview, they're always a great time. New York American Fans, I hope you're ready, because this is going to be a fun season indeed. Of course, I have to end it with an obligatory #GONYA! Host: Thank you for such a wonderful interview dlamb! We hope to have you come on again in the future! Best of luck in the draft and free agency, and the upcoming season! [Total word count 819]

  7. SITR: Rhynex Entertainment S76 year-end Interview Host: Thank you for tuning into VHL Network, Stick In The Rink! We come to you live in New York City, New York! Tonight, we have a special guest coming in. We have your very own VHL star of the New York Americans, Rhynex Entertainment @Rhynex Entertainment! Please welcome Rhynex Entertainment! (camera focuses on the audience showing a standing ovation, round of applause, and cheering. Rhynex Entertainment walks out from the backstage) Welcome Rhynex! Thanks for finding time to come in today! Rhynex Entertainment: Thank you for having me! It's nice to be back! Host: Thank you! Your VHL sophomore season has ended. Tell us about your season with New York Americans. What are your thoughts in your season and how you've performed? Rhynex Entertainment: Season 76 has been a surprisingly eventful experience. I feel we, New York Americans, as a team had a pretty decent season. While it wasn't the result that I had hoped for, it was still a worthwhile experience for such a young, like ours. We're definitely heading in the right direction. I expect great things for next season, season 76 had always been a year for us to build and grow given how many rookies we have on the team. Host: Definitely an improving team, the New York Americans have acquired 12 points more in season 76 compared to season 75, but you also happened to remain the worse team defensively. What are things you feel you need to work on for Season 77 to help bring New York into the playoffs? Rhynex Entertainment: Defensive play is definitely something that I need to work on, and something I have been working on, but I know I'm still far away from reaching my expectations. If we're making the playoffs in Season 77, we will need to improve our defensive play and score even more goals. I feel we can definitely do that. Have a look at our roster now, we already have 6 players hovering around the 500 (TPA) mark. We're a young team with a very young and growing core. Host: You make it sound so simple! Let's talk about your season production. How do you feel about your season production in Season 76? Our analysts showed that you got roughed up even more this season compared to your rookie season! You had only been hit 286 times last season, but you got hit 296 times in Season 76! How do you feel about being the target of attention every night? Rhynex Entertainment: It's great! Actually I'm glad I'm still the primary target on the team. It definitely takes the pressure off the rooks. Plus I didn't dip in my production. I had a great season, although I am a bit disappointed in my passing. Host: Of course! You had a terrific offensive season with 44 goals, 53 assists and 97 points! What's there to be disappointed about, you've improved in area of your game! What do you feel New York needs to do this offseason and the next step that needs to be taken for the playoffs? Rhynex Entertainment: I dipped in my assist game and haven't scored very well when it mattered. Definitely something I need to work on. To be honest, there's a lot that could be done to help the team reach the playoffs. On the other hand there's also not much we need to do if everyone continues to put in hard work. We could always use a nice Free Agent pick up, but that 100% necessary. I have faith in our team and in @Esso2264 and @dlamb. Host: Good stuff! We are running out of time, are there any departing words for the fans out there? Rhynex Entertainment: Thank you for coming out to cheer for the Americans every night even when we are struggling out there! We are a very young team and the future looks very bright! Have faith in the process, we will dominate this league soon enough! (loud cheers and a standing ovation) Host: There we have it! Rhynex Entertainment, everyone! Thank you for coming in, we hope to see you again! (Word count 693)
  8. 1. Disappointed but expected 2. Love to add stud dman 3. Not one specific game but a couple specific series 4. Center is supposed to be reliable in both ends of the ice and face-off duties is exciting 5. OF course, but I've said that 2 years in a roll already 6. No. I've been to one, but it was raining that day.
  9. 1. I have a great rivalry with Calgary since last season apparently, especially after last season's double beatdown by Calgary where I fought 2 times and scored a goal in a 4-1 loss. 2. Well I haven't scored once in the shootout, at least I don't I have yet haha 3. No comment, don't know people enough to give a recommendation 4. not sure, I haven't been to a place more than once 5. 12. VHL S76 Season Series New York Americans vs D.C. Dragons With the conclusion of the Season 76 VHL game 443, the 20-28-8 New York Americans and 30-22-4 D.C. Dragons finished the final game of their season series. And what an amazing season series it has been! The D.C. Dragons and New York Americans split the season series 3-3, with the series seeing a lot of action totaling 45 goals between the two teams! The New York Americans won the first match in the S76 season series, taking the game 5 - 3. However there were a lot of interesting variables in this game. To begin, the first and second stars of the game belong to the losing team, and also Goaltender Stone Wolski @DollarAndADream of the D.C. Dragons did not start the game. Stone Wolski did have a spectacular game stopping 27 of 28 shots after Computer Generated Goaltender β-DCD G1 let in 4 goals on 10 shots for the Loss. If Stone Wolski started the game, it is very possible that D.C. could have won the game. Both teams had 2 players with a 3 point night, an amazing battle between Gary Rush @G_Rush and Rhynex Entertainment @Rhynex Entertainment VS Groovy Dood @bigALand Xavier leFlamant @BarzalGoat. D.C. Dragons take game two of the season series with the reverse score of the first game, 5 - 3. D.C's forwards Groovy Dood and Xavier leFlamant once again claim 1st and 2nd stars respectively. Stone Wolski saves 31 of 34 shots for the win. It was definitely a thorough victory by the Dragons. Groovy Dood has 2 goals and 2 assists and Xavier leFlamant gets another 3 point game. Stone Wolski wins his second start against the New York Americans, as Stone stops 25 of 28 shots in a 4 - 3 Win. Rookie RJ Thatcher @jhatty8 performs wonderfully in the Loss for the Americans claiming 1st Star of the game with a 3 point effort with 2 goals and an assist. D.C Defensive Star Cinnamon Block @omgitshim also had 3 points with 1 goal and 2 assists. The fourth game between the D.C. Dragons and New York Americans saw an outstanding victory for the young Americans team! New York wins 6-2, behind an amazing game by Goaltender Thadius Sales @thadthrasher, who made 41 of 43 saves! Brian Strong Jr @Wheaties and Gary Rush had a 3 point night, New York also claims all 3 Stars of the game. Interesting note that Goaltender Stone Wolski had a perfect game stopping 15 of 15 after Computer Generated Goaltender β-DCD G1 lets in all 6 goals on 29 shots in 48:09 minutes of play. The fifth game happens to be the second of a back-to-back between D.C. and New York. Thadius Sales had another fantastic game stopping 44 of 47 shots, but still lost 4-3 in a shootout. Gary Rush received 1st star for New York with another 3 point game. Unfortunately, the New York Americans cannot score in the shootout as D.C's Stone Wolski gets his 3rd win against New York in Season 76. D.C. Dragons, Benny Graves @STZ - Goal! New York Americans, RJ Thatcher - Stopped by Stone Wolski D.C. Dragons, Guy Lesieur @KC15 - Stopped by Thadius Sales New York Americans, Rhynex Entertainment - Stopped by Stone Wolski D.C. Dragons, Xavier leFlamant - Stopped by Thadius Sales New York Americans, Gary Rush - Stopped by Stone Wolski Finally, the last game between the New York Americans and the D.C. Dragons in VHL Season 76 regular season happened last night, with New York taking the victory in what is possibly their Best Win of the Year! VHL game 443 showed a total team effort for the young New York team. Gary Rush scores his 4th three-point game against the D.C Dragons securing his second 1st Star of the game in the 6 games between New York and D.C. New York's top line also claims all three Stars in the game. Thadius Sales gets his 3rd victory against D.C after playing in all 6 games with a 27 saves effort. A dominating game by New York, who finally solved Stone Wolski, in all areas. Interesting summary and statistics: Both team's goaltenders Thadius Sales and Stone Wolski have 3 Wins each, along with a 91.8% and 91.6% save % respectively. Both teams have a player with 2 First Stars of the game and 2 Second Stars of the game. 4 players scored 5 or more goals in the 6 games between the teams, Xavier leFlamant was the only player to average a goal a game in the series. 15. Midseason Review New York Americans A lot has gone wrong once again for the New York Americans in Season 76 of the VHL. Similar to Season 75, the New York Americans find themselves at the bottom of the league standings with a record of 12 wins, 23 regulation losses, along with 6 post-regulation losses. With just 30 points, New York find themselves sitting in last place in the North American Conference and second worse in the VHL. To make matters worse, the Americans also hold the fewest ROWs so far this season; being the only team left to have a single digit in the ROW column with 9. New York Americans 41GP 12W 23L 6OTL 30Pts 9ROW 138GF 175GA -37 As mentioned earlier, the New York Americans is a very young team, with most of the players being in the first or second year. The Americans are above average when it comes to scoring, but the lack of defense or perhaps goaltending has been the Achilles for the young team. The New York Americans currently holds the league worse Goals Against with 175 goals let in by the opposition, which is 16 more goals allowed than the Riga Reigns, whom has played one more game than New York. The eye catching statistic is the above 4.00 GAA for both goaltenders in Thadius Sales @thadthrasher (4.01 GAA) and Bacon @Bacon (4.30GAA), which means the team is allowing more than 4 goals on average per game. A team stat that holds true, as the New York Americans have an average team GAA of 4.27 (175 / 41). This is not a kicker toward the team's goaltenders, but the team's defence and play in the defensive zone as a whole. In fact, the young netminders actually have a pretty decent statline considering what they have to deal with in front of them. For example, Thadius Sales have faced 1305 shots in 34 games played, which is 7th most by all goaltenders so far this season in the VHL. However, the six goaltenders whom have face more shots have also at least played three, and up to five, more games than Thadius Sales. In fact, Thadius Sales has faced on average more shots per game than all of the six netminders. While the bad definitely outweighs the good so far this season for the New York Americans, there are still some positives that could be seen from the very, very young team out of the Big Apple. But before we talk about the good, let's discuss the eye catching bads that's been lingering all season! In addition to being the worse defensive team in the VHL so far in Season 76, another eye catching Bad would the lack of consistency and losing streaks the young New York team faced all season long. The longest winning streak lasted a mere 3 games compared to the season long losing streak of 9 straight games. But, like I've mentioned earlier, not everything went wrong for the New York Americans. There are some very intriguing stats that cannot be overlooked. New York has a very good track record against some pretty good teams so far this season. Of the 12 wins the Americans have so far in Season 76, halve of the wins came against two teams. The Calgary Wranglers (4 wins out of 6 games played) and the Helsinki Titans (2 wins of 4 games played) respectively. Both teams are considered good teams, although Calgary has been unprecedented, doing worse than expectations so far this season. In addition to those big wins against the two tough opponents, another very interesting stat that should not be overlooked is the +/- of the players on the New York Americans. While +/- does not tell the whole story, but it is quite interesting to see that the Americans have two lines from different worlds. One line is all negative, each being -20 or worse, while the other line is all positive, with the worse being Even at Zero. Truly an interesting picture. With this being said, the season is far from over! Let's have another look at what the team will be like at season's end! 17. 1. disappointed 2. I'm slowly working on defense. Improving team defense would help as well. 3.All our players except a couple are offensively built players 4. Prout lots of hits and blocks and potential points 5. Probably Vancouver this year, they've played very well and was champion 2 years ago 6. I have not seen the trades, good on and off culture is very important. We don't want a toxic locker room
  18. with my final pick, I'm proud to select D - Cowboy Prout
  19. oh my hahahaha just noticed they censored the word and made it FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY I LOVE IT
  20. Claim for week ending Jan 31
  21. Good read! Definitely possible outcomes and could have been helpful for fantasy selections. Easy to read with good use of bold. Could add tags and also runner-up predictions. 8.5/10
  22. Good read. I did not even look at the boxscore or what happened to the game until I saw this article because I got curious Could ahve added tags and explained more about the games themselves, like what exactly happened in the games. Hey on the good note for the game against Vancouver, I did kill it in the dot! (32/58 first time this season over 50% I think), but yes it was a poor team effort. Could add more structure to the article such as bold or italics, etc. 8.5/10 read
  23. With Season 76 off and running, we found time to speak with VHL New York Americans star, Rhynex Entertainment @Rhynex Entertainment Reporter: Hello Rhynex! Do you have a minute for a short interview? Congratulations on your new extension with the New York Americans! What are your thoughts on the makeup of the Americans? Was the extension an easy decision? RE: Hello. Thank you! I had a great amount of success as a rookie playing for New York last season (S75). I feel we have a good up and coming team that has the potential to win it all in a couple years, and loyalty is a big thing for me. It was a good time to resign with New York. Reporter: There are a lot of new faces in the Americans' locker room and the team is extremely young, what are your thoughts toward being FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY of Rookie of the Year in S75? Who do you feel will be the Rookie of the Year this season (S76)? RE: I was very disappointment with the voting and outcome for the Rookie of the Year last season. To not only getting FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY but also not receiving a single vote definitely wasn't a good feeling. But, this only makes me stronger and I what matters is winning and making the playoffs then winning that. As for S76 Rookie of the Year, it's still very early, I feel we have four players on our team who has a reasonable chance at the award. You can never leave out Red Lite @Tate, I know how good this first overall selection is, Red Lite has been very effective on my right wing. Both Cowboy Prout @Prout and Chicken Wing @chiknhave been amazing for our blueline, you cannot leave them out, and then there's the man who stands between us winning and losing, Thadius Sales @thadthrasher, if we want to win Thad will need to make those key saves. They are my picks so far. Reporter: It certainly seems like there's a fire lit up! You are off to a terrific start this season, currently sitting 4th in the scoring race (22 points), and second in goals scored (11 goals). Keep up the good work and good luck for the rest of the season! RE: Thank you! [word count 381]
