  1. If you need any help or if any info isn't accessible, let me know and I could probably dig it up
  2. Well damn, that's certainly a game
  3. Probably a solid idea because of the hits, I haven't gotten to draft my own player in fantasy in like 4 seasons
  4. Good bounce back after a bad S60. Thanks for totaling this!
  5. 1. - If you're the defending champions and you didn't completely blow your team up, I feel like you have to come in this spot. Even with the trade of Gow, bringing in Kiaskov and promoting three rookies in Mulligan, Jokinen and Smith gives them two full lines. Depth can take you far. 2. - Once again, the top of the VHL will be a battle between depth and top-end talent. You could tell me that any one of the three of Louth, Canmore or Stropko wins MVP, and I wouldn't be surprised. Add in perhaps the most talented defenseman in Johnsson, and you've got a championship candidate. 3. - Quebec's going to be a popular sleeper pick this year, but I do think they're in a lower tier than the top two. In particular, I want to see Iseult take a full leap before I trust them to consistently win the games they should. It's going to be a whole lot of fun to watch them though and how they juggle forward playing time. 4. - Especially with last year's standout rookies Preencarnacion and Cast, plus this year's first overall pick Twinger, they're going to have a forward group that's good for a long time. But they need a goalie to complete the package, and I don't think Aamo's the future. Still, that offense should be enough to get them mid-tier. 5. - I'm of the opinion that a good goalie will go a long way this season with so many young guys out there, and Sterling's right there are at third-best alongside Iseult this year. He doesn't have the same talent around him quite yet, but last year's top pick Matt Thompson will win a few games on his own as well. They've been on top of getting inactive depth as well. 6. - They're one year away from making some noise in my opinion. Aksel McKnight was a great pickup, Sebastian Ironside was a revelation on the blue line last year, and Robert Malenko should be on all Rookie of the Year lists. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they snuck into the final playoff spot, but that would require another forward stepping up to score, and I don't see it. 7. - Let's put it this way: I wouldn't be shocked if the Titans picked up a few inactive free agents then bullied their way to the playoffs (or as high as fourth) off the strength of Shepherd and Ron alone. Those guys can be that good in this system. But I also wouldn't be surprised if the rebuild begins at the deadline, especially with what's looking like a strong S63 draft class. 8. - This is what happens when you sell everybody off, but I actually don't think they're going to be an abomination. Casey Jones is immensely talented and I expect him to put up some stats before he's (presumably) shipped closer to the deadline. In a place he could get more wins, goalie Kingfisher would be an ROY candidate as well.
  6. Very crisp and clean, I like it! (And even though I'm not a Blackhawks fan, lived in Chicago for a bit and have a soft spot for Kane, so I'll take the comparison)
  7. Glad Wingate's playoff numbers still aren't being touched. And he's not part of the list yet, but McAllister's getting up there on some lists - top 30 in goals and 20 in playoff goals.

  9. Speaking generally and not about this award, I think some people would disagree with your assertion about defensive hits.
  10. I did shatter the record for most hits in a season, to be fair
  11. Hooray! Thank you all for your votes, I'm ecstatic to be back-to-back MVPs and the other awards. And glad my vote for Stropko for MVP didn't bite me in the ass.
  12. @street updates this: Most fun ones from this season? @Smarch now tied for tops all-time, and @Da Trifecta moves into the Top 20 all-time with 7
  13. Davos -- When Gabriel McAllister first went to the Dynamo, I thought it would be a one, maybe two year build to be a true contender in the reach of Calgary and New York in particular. But apparently, STHS had a different plan. Following two seven game series, Davos emerged as perhaps an unlikely winner of this year's title, breaking the longest active Cup winless streak for any franchise dating back to S38. For me, that now makes six total Cup wins, spanning four different franchises: Calgary, Toronto, Seattle and Davos. (Oddly, the longest title drought now belongs to Calgary who hasn't won since S44, when I won my first cup.) While not quite on Green's level, I'm glad I've had success all over the VHL, and I've had the joy to play with a bunch of different people over that time. I think trying to complete the cycle would be a fun goal, especially since I've never played in Helsinki, New York or Quebec at all, and have unfinished business in Riga. But for now, I'm good seeing if Davos can repeat - or perhaps even threepeat. McAllister is the oldest player on the roster, after all, and by S63 a bunch of players like Bassolino and Charm will be in the heart of their primes. Not to mention, there's precedent for this from one of my players - Wingate joined Toronto as a highly-touted acquisition before his sixth season and ended up sweeping until retirement. Why not McAllister?
  14. Most outstanding* rather than most valuable. There could be a difference this year, and looking at the numbers purely, I think it's Stropko. Though anyone who says something to the effect of "If he doesn’t win this, credibility could be gone" is sensationalizing for the hell of it.
  15. Man, after the winning the title I'll be getting the respect I deserve. Now I'm going to be an all-star, the top of the sport, and be proud to represent Team... *Looks down at jersey* Huh.
  16. Well shit! Sure as hell not what I expected from this season, but I'll take it! Broke the longest winless drought. A hell of a way for @Da Trifecta to go out too. GOOOOOOO DAVOS! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  17. Another Game 7, hopefully another comeback?
  18. Damn, outshot them like crazy too. Instant classic game though.
