Review: I like the concept of what you did here alot. I really would have liked to see you swap out the Habs logo for the Saskatoon Wild logo, but that's alright. Aside from that though, I think it looks super clean. The red mist effect with your font over top of it looks very nice. And I really love the font you chose for this, it's awesome. All in all, it's pretty simplistic but a good piece of work. 8/10

Review: This is a dope graphic. I love the play on fire and ice with the blue and red colouring. Also solid font choice, it looks very clean cut and easy to read. Finally, the render is solid, and in a good position. All in all, this is pretty great. I would give it an 8.5/10. Nice work

Toronto Legion Weekly Presser
fromtheinside replied to DollarAndADream's topic in Team Press Conferences
1. Tampa Bay defeated Montreal 4 games to 1 in the SCF. Did you think Montreal would have put up more of a fight? No I predicted TB in 5. I don't think the Canadiens had a chance versus the Lightning. 2. Seattle was conquered in six games. Did you think they'd repeat or are you glad they didn't? I am glad that they didn't repeat. I am also just happy that Warsaw got the W. Good for Muff to get it on his last season and I am glad dlamb got a Cup too. 3. Toronto was the best team in the lottery tournament... did you follow it at all? Nope didn't look at it. Our team will probably be different by the time the regular season starts anyways. 4. Welch was recently traded in a sign-and-trade; Juice was going to test free agency but was willing to help Toronto in this regard. Thoughts? Pretty much hate it. You've essentially traded away everyone I was hoping to be in a core with and I am the last one here. Feels pretty bad. 5. SS Hornet will be testing free agency, who do you think will step up offensively next season? Hmm seems like there is trend here. I don't know who will step up. Maybe Dawson? Whoever gets the minutes probably. 6. McWolf was announced as a VHLM Commissioner. Are you happy he received the job? I hope he does a good job. All I'd like is some consistency in the rules. Hopefully he cares about the M and has it's best interests in mind. -
Well said my dude. It was quite the group we assembled, it's gonna be tough next season not having them all around

The last time the Yukon Rush captured a Founder’s Cup title, it was way back in Season 59 when the Rush survived a seven game marathon versus the Las Vegas Aces. Since then there’s been highs, lows, management changed, you name it. They’ve definitely come close from time to time, but have never been able to recapture the biggest prize in the VHLM. Two seasons ago when the Yukon GM job became vacated. @Juice stepped in and immediately initiated a plan to get Yukon back into the upper echelon of the league. The road to the Cup was a long one that truly started in the Season 77 VHLM Dispersal Draft. Going into the draft, GM Juice was severely hamstrung with his draft stock with his first pick not coming until pick 56. Fortunately for Rush fans, Juice was meticulous in his draft prep and was able to unearth some gems with his late picks. At pick 57 Yukon took a young offensive-minded defenseman from Canada. Little did they know that come Season 78, @JB123 Nathan Powers would be their team captain and anchor the team's defensive core. Or if you delve even deeper, at pick 64 the Rush drafted European winger @hockeyis66 Jaromir Lemeiux. These two players spent Season 77 developing their talent on a weak Yukon roster. But the fact that the team wasn't strong meant there was tons of opportunity for these young players to work on their game. While the Season 77 campaign was a losing one, the Rush management were busy behind the scenes, wheeling and dealing to load up for a big S78 Dispersal Draft. Before the draft they made their first big move by acquiring defender @diamond_ace Tynan Sylvester from the Mississauga Hounds for a package of picks. Sylvester would slot in nicely alongside Powers to complete the top defensive pair for the team. In the aforementioned draft, the Rush added a couple of major staples to their team. With the third overall pick in the draft, Yukon took right winger @Zetterberg Tyler Reinhart. This move not only gave them the best rookie in the league for Season 78, but it also opened the door for Yukon to scoop up Reinhart's brother @MexicanCow123 Jerome when he opted join the VHLM at the start of the season. Netting both Reinhart brothers proved to be a game changer for Yukon, but they still were missing a number of components. Identifying that, moments after picking Reinhart third overall, the Rush traded up to secure the fourth pick in the draft. With this pick they chose the Satanic overlord @Beketov Papa Emeritus. Yukon pledged their souls to their new ruler and in exchange they were provided the services of one of the best goaltenders in the league in Season 78. These consecutive picks really helped vault the Rush from pretender to contender in a hurry. The Rush continued to draft well in the later rounds. Most notably they picked up a pair of Fins to bolster their depth. Center @Otto Numminen and defenseman @Big Bob Bob Beach. The Finnish talent continued to flow into Yukon as they scooped up rookie @jRuutuErlantz Jokinen off waivers. The Finnish trifecta have been huge fan favourites in Yukon all season. In fact, the popularity has reached such a high that their is a special district in Yukon dedicated to them dubbed "Little Finland". Finally, days before the start of the regular season, the Rush reached out free agent @Pythonic Gaspar Yakrevsky. The team had rostered Yakrevsky for the better part of two seasons and in Season 77 he experienced a breakout campaign and at one point he was leading the league in scoring. The Rush opted to trade him away for draft stock. Surprisingly, Yakrevsky never went up to the VHL so he was available to be had by any team in the M. Yukon was quick to bring him back into the fold and add yet another lethal weapon to their arsenal. With much of their roster assembled, the season began and it became clear quite early that the Rush were for real. They were the last team in the league to earn a regulation loss. They were winning early and often. The team was getting offense from everyone and scoring in bunches. One of the main storylines during the regular season was their heated rivalry against the San Diego Marlins. A bet was placed between the two general managers before the season began. The GM of the team that lost the season series would be forced to sing a karaoke song of the opposing GM's choosing. The Marlins were a worthy adversary and rival all season and in a fitting fashion, the season series ended up tied 4-4. So the bet was a push and now the league will be treated to a duet of both Juice and @thadthrasher singing a song together (coming soon)! Aside from the friendly wager though, the Marlins were one of the few teams that played the Rush close in every game and it seemed likely the two teams would run into each other at some point in the playoffs. After a non-eventful trade deadline passed, the door opened for new rookies to join the league and sign with teams. The Rush were quick to add two VHL community veterans, not to mention two solid defensemen for their playoff drive. Both @fonziGG Tony Adams and @BarzalGoat Sven Eightnine were quick to put pen to paper and get acclimated with their teammates. Adding these two latecomers really did make an impact, especially during the playoffs as the Rush were force to drop a couple of players due to inactivity. Adams and Eightnine really were invaluable to the team down the stretch and also were a great presence to have in the locker room. The Rush concluded the season the same way they started it, red hot. They finished with 375 total goals scored which was the most in the league by a ton. Amazingly, they had four players finish in triple digits for points (with a fifth coming up just short with 97). Tyler Reinhart led the team with 64 goals and 69 assists for a whopping 133 points in total. Of his 64 goals, an astounding 15 of them were game winners. Captain Nate Powers finished with 108 points including 87 assists! Any time a defenseman can break the 100 point plateau it's quite an impressive feat, so hats off to him. While the skaters were doing their thing, goaltender Papa Emeritus dominated the crease, posting a 55-10-4 record with a 2.91 goals against average and an .892 save percentage. Additionally he was able to post five shutouts. He will no doubt be in the running for Goaltender of the Year. After handling their business in the regular season, it was time to shift gears and focus on the road to the Cup. The Rush won the Continental Cup (best record in the regular season in the VHLM) and therefore held the #1 seed in the playoffs. Drawing the #8 seed was the quickly rebounding Mexico City Kings. The Kings recently won the Founder's Cup back in Season 76, and fielded another strong team in Season 77. But time had finally caught up with them and new management had also been brought in as well, so it was definitely time for an overhaul. Surprisingly though, the Kings exceeded all expectations and snuck into the last playoff spot, which is quite a feat for themselves. Led by the strong play of their goalie Bastian Greiss, the Kings found themselves in a David vs Goliath matchup versus Yukon. Mexico actually played Yukon relatively tough in the regular season and even took a few games off of them so the matchup wasn't entirely a done deal. The Kings kept it competitive, however the Rush took the series in five games. Mexico was able to take Game 3 at home, but once things were back on home ice for Yukon in Game 5, they locked it down with a 4-2 win to move onto the semi-finals. The semis featured the matchup the whole league was clamoring for. The Marlins versus the Rush. Finally a winner was to be decided! San Diego came into Yukon for Game 1 and left it all on the line. In what was maybe the most entertaining game of the series, the Marlins topped Yukon 6-5 in a double overtime thriller. The lead flip-flopped multiple times throughout the game. Player/AGM @Eldredman Aldwin Craig scored with just over five minutes left in the third period to put the Marlins up 5-4. The Rush fought back though as rookie sensation Tyler Reinhart netted his fourth of the playoffs with just over a minute and a half left in regulation. The first overtime would solve nothing, so we went to a second frame of free hockey. At 8:55 of the second overtime @Adrest245 Brent Skimmer buried a one timer from 16 feet out and the Marlins would take the pivotal 1-0 series lead. The Marlins kept the momentum rolling into Game 2 as they shocked Yukon and won 5-3. Goaltender @Erik Morgan Karlsson played a spectacular game in this one, making 40 out of 43 saves to earn the road sweep and head back to San Diego with a 2-0 series lead. In most situations like these, teams may panic and come apart at the seems. However, Yukon was built with a ton of savvy league veterans that brought a ton of internal leadership. The vets calmed down the younger guys and Yukon marched into San Diego for Game 3 and shutdown the Marlins. Down 2-1 in the second period, the turning point of the game was when Jaromir Lemiuex was sprung on a breakaway during a penalty kill and buried a wrister glove side on netminder Karlsson. This shorthanded marker tied the game and shortly thereafter, younger brother Jerome Reinhart picked up a drop pass from his brother Tyler and wired home a clapper to put Yukon ahead 3-2. From that point forward, Yukon locked it down and Papa Emeritus made no mistakes. The Rush avoided going down 3-0 and instead made the series interesting again. Game 4 was a bit of an odd one as all the goals came in the first period. The Marlins found themselves up 2-1 halfway through the first before the Rush scored three unanswered goals to go up 4-2. Despite the Marlins best efforts, Yukon took the game and the series was down to a best-of-three with the Rush re-establishing their home ice advantage. When the puck dropped for Game 5 back in Yukon, it was clear that the series momentum had swung back in favor of the Rush. Despite a quiet night on the score sheet from the Reinhart brothers, Yukon grinded out a 5-2 victory off the performance of their captain Nathan Powers who had a big four point game. Also the fans in Little Finland were overjoyed as the trio of Fins all put up points and Otto Numminen had four points of his own. Yukon was really showing its depth on full display. In Game 6, Yukon dominated play and completely shut down the Marlins entirely. The Marlins could only muster 17 shots with their playoff lives on the line and would fall by a score of 4-2. After a quiet game 5, Tyler Reinhart was back in a big way for Game 6, scoring a hat-trick and leading his team to victory. Though the regular season series may have ended in a tie, there was certainly a clear cut winner in this series as the dispute could finally be put to bed. The Marlins will likely be regressing next season as they will be losing a good chunk of their roster to players making the jump to the M. Meanwhile in the other semi-final, the Houston Bulls would face-off against the Minnesota Storm. On paper this seemed like it could be an exciting matchup. Game 1 was a back-and-forth affair that ended in heartbreak for Houston fans. The Bulls were up 4-3 in the third when Jannik Nylen scored his first of the playoffs on the powerplay to make it a tie game. Then with less than two minutes left in the game, Henri le Massif took a high sticking penalty for Minnesota. During the powerplay though, a Houston defenseman made an errant pass that was picked off by veteran Ron World Peace III and he made no mistake and buried the game winner. This really set the tone for the series as Minnesota went on to win the next three straight games and make short work of the Houston Bulls. They enjoyed some rest days while San Diego and Yukon went on to battle each other for a few more days. Eventually the stage was set for the final. It was the top seeded Rush taking on the #3 seed Minnesota Storm. The Rush wasted no time making their impression on the Storm as they capitalized on their first power play of the series when Jaromir Lemiuex buried his third of the playoffs just three minutes into Game 1. Minnesota stormed back and tied it quickly but a pair of goals by defenseman Tynan Sylvester quickly made it a 3-1 lead by the end of the first. From then on the game tightened up for quite a bit but midway through the third, Gaspar Yekrevsky erupted with two goals in less that a minute to put the Rush up 5-1. This was a dominating win for Yukon in which they only allowed 11 shots on goal. Yukon was making the Storm look more like a light drizzle at best. Game 2 was more of the same as Tynan Sylvester stayed hot and scored a hat-trick giving the d-man an incredible 8 goals in the playoffs! Yukon more than doubled the Storm in shots and took the game by a score of 4-2. The series would shift to Minnesota with the Rush needing just two more wins to clinch that elusive Founder's Cup! Unfortunately for the Storm, the change in scenery didn't help them as the Rush took a commanding 3-0 series lead after taking Game 3 by a score of 3-1. In a 46 shot barrage, the Rush again proved the Storm were no match for them. Jaromir Lemeiux netted his fifth goal of the postseason and third goal in consecutive games. Tyler Reinhart also added an insurance goal he scored his first of the series in the third period. With their backs up against the wall and their lives on the line, Minnesota came out flying in Game 4 with four unanswered goals in the first period. Though they tried to stage a comeback, this deficit proved to be too much to overcome. Zarek Kaczka led the Storm with a goal and three assists while rookie Jonathan Ori and Miks Sunish both added in three points of their own. Though it was disappointing to lose Game 4, the Rush and their fanbase were tantalized at the thought of winning the Cup in Game 5 on home ice. Game 5 saw the Storm completely shut down the high powered offense of Yukon. Minnesota netminder Dexter Vaughn stood on his head this game and made 37 out of 38 saves. Otto Numminen scored a power play marker at 14:31 of the second period, but that was all Yukon could muster. The third period the Storm completely clamped down and held Yukon to just two shots all period. Coming off two straight wins, excitement was starting to build and it felt like momentum was swinging back to Minnesota. When the series went back to Minny for a second time though, Yukon got the job done. Game 6 saw Yukon put up three quick goals in the first half of the opening frame. Tynan Sylvester got the ball rolling with his ninth of the playoffs, and from there the Rush didn't look back. Nathan Powers put an exclamation point on things in the second period with a power play goal to make it 4-0. The game would end up being 4-1, and as the final seconds ticked down, the celebration began. The drought had finally ended and the long-term plan set out by Juice had finally paid off. Celebrations continue to rage on throughout not only Yukon, but Finland and Greenland as well. It was a dominating season from bell to bell for Yukon this year. Going forward, who knows where this team goes. Will they try to be competitive and go for the ever-elusive back-to-back Founder's Cups? Or is it time to head back to the drawing board and start from scratch? Many of the top players from the Rush will be graduating to the VHL next season, so it will be a daunting task for them to be competitive next season. But at least those players will be able to move up to the pros with a feather in their cap. They can now say they are champions!

Review: This is a really cool and unique graphic. I guess you're going for like an album cover type deal with the parental advisory logo in the bottom left, its a super cool idea and it's all came together really nice. The coloring and effects all fit in really well and i like that "Latrell" if featured prominently at the top. Also the thug life bit at the bottom gave me a good chuckle Overall this was a nice change a pace and something different from the usual. Good job! 8/10

Another Petrenko Graphic
fromtheinside replied to SlapshotLegion's topic in Archived Graphics/Videos
Review: Solid looking graphic overall. The red and black gradient looks really sharp and I love the way you infused the font into the graphic as well. I like that you added a logo swap to the render, but the render looks a little scuffed, like blurry or pixelated or something. Besides that though it's really good. I also love that you threw in the Bulls logo in the background, that was a very nice added touch. Great job! 8/10 -
GGs Mexico, you guys did very well for yourselves this season!

1. The Rush have officially clinched the top of the VHLM standings for S78! What is your go-to way to celebrate winning the first Prime Minister's cup in 15 seasons? Copious amounts of drugs and alcohol. Lol all kidding aside I just like to celebrate with the homies in the LR, its a great group we got in there this season. 2. With the regular season about over, who is your personal pick for Team MVP for the season and why? I think Bek and Z are equally worthy of the MVP, both of them had great seasons statistically and both had a major presence in the locker room as well. Gonna miss them next season for sure. 3. Season 2 of the War with San Diego ends in...a tie? With the season series closing in at 4-4, do you have any final remarks for @thadthrasher and his Marlins? Yeah, we will see you chumps in the playoffs I hope. It's summertime, great time for some fish on the barbecue! 4. Looking at the standings, we're guaranteed to face up against Mexico City. What are your predictions for the series? Well I have to predict we will win the series, but they are actually a little spooky. They've beaten us multiple times in the regular season and with STHS who freaking knows. If you look at it from a pure quality of roster perspective, we should smoke them, but yeah that's not how this usually works. 5. If you had to pick a single song to listen to for the rest of your life, which would it be? Jeez that is a tough question. There are a ton of great options to pick from. If I had to guess my most played song ever it would probably be In the End by Linkin Park so I will go with that... but there's many bangers I could roll with. 6. Controversial Opinion of the Week: I absolutely despise the opening day/opening week of a new popular movie that I'm planning to see, and I'll avoid going to see it in theaters for at least 2-3 weeks. The BO and the popcorn crunching all around me, let alone if someone really tall sits in front of me, drives me insane. Agree or disagree? Agreed, and I generally just don't like being in a packed movie theatre. The only time I put up with big crowds is usually when new Star Wars movies come out, besides that I am the same as you.

For the final time in Season 78. VSN is back to bring you another edition of the VHLM Power Rankings. It's been a fun season to track to say the least. Some clubs that have been solid for a couple seasons now are taking their final swing for a Founder's Cup, while other teams like San Diego and Yukon are hitting the peak of their rebuilds and are hoping to bear the fruits of their labor. We are just days away from the start of the VHLM Playoffs so this may also serve as a nice playoff preview edition of the Power Rankings. While most of the playoff teams are set in stone, there is still some jockeying for positioning happening throughout the standings. No team is locked into a seed as of right now, so there's a ton of intrigue heading into the final few sims (if they ever happen...). Without further ado, let's dive right into it! Prev: 2 | Current: 1 For the first time this season, the Rush have finally made it to the top spot in the Power Rankings. Even despite losing one of their top defenders to inactivity, Yukon has been unwavering in their quest to the Cup this season. With a record of 51-8-4 record and currently riding a six game winning streak, the Rush are in a full sprint coming into the end of the regular season. @Zetterberg Tyler Reinhart continues to terrorize his opponents offensively with 57 goals and 62 assists for 119 points. While Reinhart's massive numbers are certainly impressive, it's pretty incredible to look at the Yukon roster and see the offensive depth they possess. Aside from Reinhart, the Rush have four other players with 90 or more points, two of which are defensemen! I truly believe Yukon is the deepest team in the league this season. The team added to that depth this past week with a pair of defensemen recreate signings. Both @BarzalGoat Sven Eightnine and @fonziGG Tony Adams put ink to paper and have joined the Rush for their Cup pursuit. These two veteran users are a seamless fit in Yukon and could provide some much needed defensive depth come playoff time. The Rush currently are lined up to take on the Mexico City Kings in the first round. At first glance this might seem like a lopsided matchup, but the Kings have actually handed Yukon three losses this season so there could be some real intrigue to that matchup! Prev: 1 | Current: 2 Slipping one spot down to 2 is the Halifax 21st. While it's true they fell from first, I would attribute that more to Yukon's strong play rather than Halifax not performing. The 21st still look deadly as ever and for now they hold down the top spot in the Eastern Conference, but Minnesota is breathing down their necks now only one point behind. Halifax has gone 4-5-1 in their past 10 contests, but it has definitely been their toughest patch of games all season, with most of their games being against San Diego or Minnesota. Despite dropping games versus the Storm, I still believe the Boat Gang has a better roster to compete for a Cup. @tylerwest Tyler "Superman" Steel has indeed been a Man of Steel for the 21st this season. Not only has he eclipsed the 100 point plateau (42 goals, 62 assists), but he has also laid out 314 hits and has 123 PIMs. He has been the team's most diverse player and has been a jack-of-all-trades. While it's true that only one point separates Minnesota and Halfiax, the 21st have had more goals for, less goals against and more wins in regulation, all with a game in hand. Should the standings hold, Halifax would match up with the Houston Bulls in the first round. This would be a favorable matchup as Halifax is winning the season series 4-1 thus far. However, that being said, there's still too many moving parts for this to be set in stone yet, so stay tuned! Prev: 4 | Current 3 The Marlins find themselves back up into the 3 spot as the season winds down. As has been the case all season long, the Marlins can compete with anyone and maintain one of the deepest lineups leaguewide. San Diego continues to play their physical, shut-down prototype of hockey and they are proving it can be a winning formula. They are a tough matchup night in and night out. While their offense won't blow you away, they league the lead with fewest goals against with just 162 goals over 65 contests which is an average of 2.49 a game. Any time you can limit the other team to 3 goals or less, you give yourself a chance to win, especially in the M. @LuluSalesAway Loch Ness Monster and @Gwdjohnson Arvid Johansson have anchored a super deep blueline that has gotten the job done all season long, and subsequently have made goaltender @Erik Morgan Karlsson's life much easier. Speaking of Karlsson, he should be a serious contender to win Goalie of the Year. He's already netted four shutouts and boasts a sparkling .904 save percentage. As for the league's hottest rivalry, the Marlins and Rush have played six games up until this point and the teams each have three wins apiece. It will all come down to the final week of the season where the team's will play each other twice in back to back days. The whole league will be watching in anticipation to see which GM gets to serenade us with their vocal talents! Prev 3: Current: 4 Flip-flopping spots with the Marlins, the Storm find themselves down to fourth in this installment of the Power Rankings. While this may seem odd since the Storm have been surging up the standings as of late, there's some reasoning behind it. First and foremost, I feel like these top four teams are super close overall and you could make sound arguments for any of them to move up or down within the top 4. But aside from that, I have some concerns about the Storm roster. They currently hold one inactive player on their roster, and are bordering on having two more to add to that to make three inactive players, all of which are forwards. Having to lose three forwards will definitely hurt their depth and real force the Storm to make big changes to their lineups. For now though, they continue to roll and are making a major push to take over first place in the Eastern Conference. The Storm have gotten a great deal of offense from their defense this season, most notably of which has been @Hank Zarek Kaczka who came over from the Las Vegas Aces in a trade during the offseason. Kaczka has 36 goals and 53 assists for 89 total points. Of those 36 goals, 7 have been game winners. Regardless of what happens, the Storm will be an interesting team to keep an eye on moving forward as they have strong players at all positions. Prev: 5 | Current: 5 For the second consecutive time the Reapers find themselves in the 5 spot on the VHLM Power Rankings. The Reapers have found a nice groove down the final stretch of the season. They lost one of their goalies to inactivity unfortunately, but at least now it is clear that @Spaz Tobias Reinhart is the bonafide number one goalie in Philly. He has done fairly well for his club this season, going 22-12-2 with a 2.79 goals against average and an .886 save percentage. Meanwhile up front @Alex_J32 Alex Johnston continues to have a stand out season. Through 68 contests Johnston has 56 goals and 57 assists for a total of 113 points. He is amongst the league leaders in offense and leads his team both on and off the ice as he is also currently the team's Assistant General Manager. The Reapers have solidified themselves as a middle of the pack playoff contender and could definitely pose a threat to any of the teams in the Top 4. I could definitely see them pulling off an upset or two come playoff time. Prev: 6 | Current: 6 Much like the Reapers, the Saskatoon Wild are another team that find themselves right in the middle of the pack of the VHLM playoff race. Through 69 games the Wild sport a record of 42-23-4 which clinches them third place in the West. They are tied with Philly for the 5th playoff seed but can finish no worse than sixth. The should mean that they will face either San Diego or Minnesota in the first round of the playoffs. The Wild sport one of the most impressive offenses in the league which feature three 50-goal scorers and four players that have reached the 100 point marker. While the big four continue to run amuck in the VHLM, players like @raphaelsonier9815 Raphael Sonier provide great grit and toughness. Sonier is no slouch on offensive himself, having scoring 64 points this season to date. But on top of that he has also made 220 hits and blocked 148 shots. Players like this are always necessary when competing for a Cup but often get overlooked. Just as I said about the Reapers, the Wild are a team you shouldn't sleep on. They could very easily win their first round matchup, and after that, who knows what could happen. Crazier things have certainly happened in the M in the past handful of seasons. Prev: 7 | Current: 7 With a record of 37-27-5 and only four games left to play, the Bulls are locked into the 7th seed and are likely to face off against the Halifax 21st in the first round of the playoffs. The Bulls will have their hands full and will need to click on all cylinders to have a shot at pulling off an upset. The top defensive pairing of @NerdyCowz Milk Jugs and @DarkSpyro Drakon Zebastovka have done alot of the heavy lifting for Houston this season and have been effective both offensively and defensively. Up front, @Ryan Li has been the Bull's best forward with 33 goals and 52 assists for 85 points. Aside from his impressive offensive haul, he also leads the team in hits with 154. Perhaps the biggest X factor for the Bulls though will be their goaltender @enigmatic Aike van Giersbergen. AVG has been the goto goalie in Houston for the better part of two seasons now. I imagine he will need to stand on his head to shut down the big time offense of the Halifax 21st. Prev: 8 | Current: 8 Coming in once again at 8 are the Mexico City Kings who continue to show signs that they are a decent team that are on the up-and-up. They have officially been locked into the 8th seed and will most likely be playing Yukon in Round One. While this seems like a major mismatch from first glance, the Kings have actually played the Rush very well this season and should by no means be thought of as an afterthought in the playoffs. After being taken 37th overall in the S78 VHLM Dispersal Draft, right-winger @GoldGear88 has found success in Mexico posting 47 goals and 54 assists to eclipse the 100 point plateau by 1. If he can translate his newfound success to the postseason, the Kings may shock the world and pull off the major upset. Regardless of what results they get in the playoffs, you have to credit the Kings for a heck of a season. For a season that was meant to be a pure rebuild, they have already put themselves back on the map to be a dangerous player in the league. Prev: 9 | Current: 9 The Lynx just recently have found themselves on the outside looking in when it comes to the VHLM playoffs. While they made it interesting down the stretch, they unfortunately came up just short. Though it's disappointing to miss out on the postseason, @dlamb and his team should be proud of the turnaround they've shown this season. I have no doubt in my mind that the Lynx will be a top 8 team next season but for now, its off to the links for the Lynx. Ottawa should have a decent amount of returning players, along with a nice amount of draft picks on the board in the next Dispersal Draft. It may sting to finish ninth this season but this will be but a mere afterthought when the Lynx return to prominence in the coming seasons. THE REST OF THE FIELD Normally I would take the time to break down every team from 1-12, but at this point in the season, there's really no point to rank the last few teams apart from each other. All three of Mississauga, Miami, and Las Vegas are clearly in rebuild mode and aren't fielding competitive teams. I guess if I really had to break it down, the Aces are the worst of the three since they have less future assets in terms of returning players and draft picks. Both Miami and Mississauga have done a terrific job of loading up for the Season 79 season and I imagine both of them will be contenders once again next season. As for the here and now though, these three teams are merely an afterthought in Season 78. That's all for this week folks! There's still some playoff implications to be decided in the final couple of sims so be sure to keep an eye on how things shake out as far as playoff matches are concerned! I think it really is anybody's game this year in the playoffs. While Yukon and Halifax are certainly favorites going into the postseason, they are by no means a lock to win the Founder's Cup. As we have seen from time to time in the playoffs, nothing is for certain, so buckle in! It should be a wild ride in the playoffs!

Review: Just at first glance this is a cool looking graphic. It's clean as hell. The font looks great, the render looks good and the HC Davos logo blends in seamlessly. But when I saw that you used images of cheese to put this together... pretty mindblown lol. The creativity and uniqueness makes this a special piece. I would love to see more wacky stuff like this. Awesome stuff. 10/10

Review: This is a solid graphic from top to bottom. The color scheme goes well with the team colors, I like the circles filter over top of the writing too, makes it look pretty slick. The logo swap on the players in the picture looks solid as well. My favorite detail was the Miklavs on the back of the one players jersey, cool attention to detail there. Overall I feel like this is far above average. Really nice work. 8/10

Toronto Legion Weekly Presser
fromtheinside replied to DollarAndADream's topic in Team Press Conferences
1. Do you anticipate any trade deadline surprises? If you missed it were you surprised by any trade or lack of trades? I was surprised to see Boom ended up getting dealt. Sad to see him go, was one of my favourite teammates. But yeah it was relatively quiet this season at the TDL. 2. Toronto acquired McLaren in a trade recently. What do you think of the acquisition? (For tcookie: How do you feel about joining Toronto?) I came up with tcookie in the S75 draft class and he is one of the guys I was closest with. He's a great guy and we share alot of similar interests so I am pumped he's here. 3. We're struggling this season. Any idea why? Nope no idea. I stopped trying to wonder why anything in this league happens for any particular reason. Its RNG. 4. Is there anything I can do to make your season better? Nope not really. We just gotta ride it out now and see what happens. 5. Do you think Toronto can mount a comeback and push for a wildcard spot? Nope I think we are too far gone this season unfortunately. We've been so-so lately, but after we had that massive slump earlier in the season it was pretty much doomed from then on. 6. S80 recreates/new players will be creating now, will you be following this draft class at all? I will be following it as I am an AGM for the Yukon Rush so it's in my best interest to keep up with it lol. Definitely looks like a big batch of recreates though for sure. -
VHLE Istanbul Red Wolves Concept Player Graphic
fromtheinside replied to Ricer13's topic in Archived Graphics/Videos
Review: Pretty cool concept, really like it. As for the graphic itself, it looks awesome. I like that the player render is clear and in the forefront, while the Istanbul flag is faded and in the background. The logo and logo swap on the player's jersey look great. I also love the font you used but for some reason the "R" in Red Wolves looks kinda scuffed to me for some reason, but despite that it still is a dope looking graphic. Nice job Ricer! 8.5/10 -
Review: Graphic looks pretty clean. The player render looks good and I like that you brightened him up a bit to make him stand out. The border along with the font choice and placement of the font all fit great. I think the only criticism is there is a decent amount of space you could use still. A team name or team logo would have been a good touch but besides that, it still looks good. Good job 7/10
