  1. an other great article from a great war conqueror. You nailed it again, I like how you use your knowledge of war history to put a unique touch of humor in your article. Now we want one that talks about your VHL draft next week :p 10/10

  3. yeah I get that point and it makes sense but maybe it could be a good idea as a vhlm team so it helps with french waiver claims and those who get drafted there only have 1 season to do before going up so its no big deal. On my side, I'm billingual but I know its a big issues for many french people. Once they are in the VHL, even if its all in english, they would still have that french friendly locker room with many people to help them in their discord channel.
  4. Some will find me annoying with that VHL.com article but I’m doing it anyway. There is why Montreal should have a VHL team! Its an original 6 in the NHL: Unless you live in a grotto, if you are a hockey fan, you should be aware of the original 6 teams of the NHL which is Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Detroit, Chicago and New York. Countless fans: It is known, Montreal is one of the biggest hockey city in the world. Not only the whole city watch hockey but the whole province of Quebec do! Faithful fans: The habs has been bad for 20 years and they just start being decent and the fans are still there. There is habs fans in the VHL: In less than 3 months of VHL presence, I already noticed a few habs fans in the VHL and I’m sure they would enjoy having a team in the VHL. It could make a French friendly team: The whole VHL is in English and they keep trying to get new members, what if one team is french friendly? This could bring some French Canadians to the VHL and they could learn english at their own rate with the help of fellow French Canadians. Other cities I would consider for an expansion: Every other teams missing in the original 6! Which means, Boston and Detroit.
  5. It’s now officially the beginning of the season, for some players, it’s a new start in a new team, others, a new start on another position, some players are also having their first season out of the game due to retirement. But, the most exciting ones are the rookies, they are young, talented but they have no experience. What to expect from them? This season, one of them got drafted late in the third round in S75 at 46th to be exact. His name is Dominic Gobeil and he is a left winger from Canada playing for the Prague Phantoms. Let’s take a deep look at his potential. At first, Gobeil was a late round pick, even if he was picked at 46th, he was ranked even more late than that the draft central list. Clearly, Prague saw something in him that could be worth reaching. With a first full season in the VHLM full of disappointment like loosing in the founder cup final, leaving the wjc with bronze and the pro-am with bronze. What should we expect from him this season? We should expect an aggressive player. Surely, Gobeil didn’t get the best stats in the VHLM but he proved to bring some intensity on the ice and also in the locker room. He is not afraid to use his big size to get the puck in the corners, he play rough and it can really complete with his new line mate Robert Bouchard who proved to be more talented but not much physical. Another thing that is interesting about Gobeil is the upside of that player. He got drafted at 46th and he is now ranked 20th in his draft class after just one season. That’s a big improvement for a player that is still climbing the ladders. The reason behind that improvement is pure hard work. That player doesn’t give up, when he gets disappointed about something, it triggers something in him and he double his training. What changed from Gobeil during the off-season? Well, according to our scouts, Gobeil is way stronger on his blades this season. It also seems that he improved his scoring ability by far. For a player who was considered a playmaker at the time of his draft, we think he will score more goals than he was expected to. If Gobeil continue to progress at this rate, he is a player to watch in the future. With a good young center and a future star defenseman in Prague alongside him, it will be interesting to see them all progress and eventually become the core of this team. (436 words)

  16. Canada!!
  17. I like that idea and the lack of new players is not a big problem really. Just 2 teams even if its only 1 line of active players on each team is enough imo. The goal is just to get them hooked.

  21. The same happened to me, I got drafted late in the third round (46th) by Prague in S75 and it was a slap to the face. It really pushed me to do better and now I’m starting my first season in the VHL in S76 and I’m currently at 360 TPE
