  1. Justin Williams offseason in Rome

As I prepare to embark on the upcoming hockey season in Rome, my anticipation and excitement are at an all-time high. Rather than bidding farewell to the city, I find myself eagerly embracing the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. The energy in Rome is palpable, and it fuels my determination to step onto the ice and give my all for my new team.

The off-season in Rome has been a transformative period for me. It has allowed me to acclimate to the city, immerse myself in its vibrant culture, and build a sense of community. The connections I've formed with fellow players, coaches, and fans have created a support system that will undoubtedly propel me forward in the upcoming season.

Living in Rome during the off-season has given me a unique perspective on the city's hockey scene. I've had the chance to attend local games, witnessing the passion and dedication of both the players and the fans. The hockey community in Rome is tightly knit, and I feel privileged to be a part of it. The rinks have become my second home, and the teammates I've met during training have become like family.

Rome, with its rich history and storied past, serves as a constant reminder of the importance of perseverance and resilience. The gladiators of ancient Rome faced countless challenges in the Colosseum, just as I will face challenges on the ice. Drawing inspiration from the city's legendary figures, I am ready to channel their spirit and determination as I step onto the ice.

The city's vibrant atmosphere and cultural treasures continue to inspire me as I approach the new season. The iconic landmarks, such as the Colosseum, remind me of the magnitude of the stage upon which I will perform. The streets of Rome, with their bustling energy and timeless charm, reflect the passion and intensity I hope to bring to every game.

As the new season approaches, I am filled with gratitude for the experiences I've had during my time in Rome. The city has welcomed me with open arms, and I am honored to represent it on the ice. I am ready to don my team's jersey, to hear the roar of the crowd, and to give my all for the fans who have supported me from the beginning.

Leaving the off-season behind, I eagerly step into the next chapter of my hockey career in Rome. The friendships, the memories, and the personal growth I've gained during my time in the city will serve as a foundation for success on and off the ice. With the eternal city as my backdrop, I am ready to chase my dreams and make this season in Rome one to remember.

  2. Team USA

Team USA so far in the round robin has shown major success With Gregger and Lucas Grey being tied for most points, along with Justin Lion dominating, along with back up Jonny Elgar. Everything seems to be going perfect with great performances from the players and goalies. The only struggle though is the 3rd line with the line not producing a single point. Even with some struggles GM JCV has been able to get the best out of his best players. Now JCV has to figure out how to get the third line also producing. This will allow for the gold medal to be secured. With Mark Calaway becoming the Captain of the team and Reese and Gregger as assistant captains, he hopes there leadership can allow for continued success showing it in Game 5,6, and 7. JCV now hopes their leadership secured, they can help the 3rd line out. JCV needs his team to perform against Europe and Canada, especially with the backup Elgar in net against Europe, who last time had 53 shots against the US. JCV has stated that the most important games in the round robin have began.

  3. Local Life in Mexico

As a hockey player, my stay in Mexico City for 2 seasons proved to be an exhilarating adventure that extended far beyond the realm of sports. Nestled amidst the bustling streets and vibrant culture, I immersed myself in the rich tapestry of local life. From the moment I stepped foot in this sprawling metropolis, the air seemed electrified with a palpable energy that permeated every corner.

Exploring the city's historic neighborhoods, such as Coyoacán and Condesa, offered a fascinating glimpse into Mexico's captivating past. Cobblestone streets led me to colorful markets where the aromas of exotic spices mingled with the vibrant melodies of street musicians. The iconic Frida Kahlo Museum in Coyoacán transported me to the artist's world, showcasing her pain and passion through her art and personal artifacts. Meanwhile, the tree-lined boulevards of Condesa unveiled hidden gems, from charming cafes to trendy boutiques, where I indulged in the local fashion and cuisine.

Mexico City's culinary delights were nothing short of remarkable. I embarked on a gastronomic journey, discovering the diverse flavors that define Mexican cuisine. I savored the explosion of flavors in authentic street tacos, where succulent marinated meats combined with fresh cilantro and tangy salsa, creating a symphony of tastes that danced on my palate. I couldn't resist the allure of traditional mole sauce, with its complex blend of spices, chocolate, and chili peppers, which left me craving for more. And let's not forget the mouthwatering churros, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, dusted with cinnamon sugar and served with a side of thick, velvety chocolate sauce – a true indulgence.

Evenings were spent reveling in the city's nightlife, where the rhythm of salsa music reverberated through lively clubs. I danced with newfound friends, embracing the passion and liveliness that filled the air. The locals' warm hospitality and unwavering zest for life left an indelible impression on me, fostering connections that transcended language barriers. Conversations flowed effortlessly, laughter echoed through the night, and I realized that the language of joy and celebration transcends borders.

Beyond the city's vibrant urban landscape, Mexico City also boasted awe-inspiring natural beauty. A visit to the Xochimilco canals offered a serene escape from the hustle and bustle, as I floated down the waterways on brightly colored trajineras, adorned with flowers. Surrounded by lush greenery and accompanied by the sound of mariachi bands, it was a moment of tranquility and reflection amidst the vibrant chaos of the city.

While hockey may have initially brought me to Mexico City, it was the city's vibrant spirit and colorful tapestry of experiences that left an indelible mark on my soul. From the enchanting historical sites to the tantalizing flavors, from the lively nights to the serene natural wonders, this captivating city opened my eyes to a world beyond the rink. As I bid farewell to this extraordinary place, I carried with me cherished memories and a newfound appreciation for the diverse wonders of Mexico City. It was a journey that reminded me of the power of exploration and the ability of travel to broaden our horizons, both on and off the ice.

  5. Lets do a recap of the season. Justin Williams had a great rookie season with a amazing 94 points, with him having 5 assists in one of his first games. The playoffs is where he thrived though being one of the leaders in leading Mexico city to the finals finishing second in playoff points. Currently Malmo is interested in drafting me, but Justin Williams for the VHLE wants to be drafted badly by Rome.

  7. Had some great interviews with Las Vegas and Miami after the playoffs where Justin Williams got 2 goals and 2 assists. Though Mr Game Seven started out slow in his first game seven only getting a assist in a 7-3 loss.
