Particularly as somebody who has stumped for Vasteras to return for a while, I really enjoyed your unbiased breakdown of the branding here. I found your opinions and parallels that you drew very interesting (I hadn't really seen the USSR connotations before but totally get it), which shows that you really did think about these brands critically. If there's a dock for me, it's that I'm not a huge fan of the all caps for emphasis in places like "EVERYTHING" - it reads to me like someone's shouting those words, and I think italics tends to get the point across a lot better. But that's nitpicking overall, great concept for a series and looking forward to reading more moving forward!

Thank you for this opportunity, I wish I could write a really nice long text but the truth is that I am out of words. @Juice did a really good job in Yukon, bringing the cup at home, hopefully we can see him again in a management job someday. As of @fromtheinside, its a bummer to hear that he is also stepping down, we've known each others from our very first day in the VHL as sasky boys, its an other one I'd like to see in a management role someday!

Yukon GM @Juice brought it to @VHLM Commissioner  attention that things were beginning to get busier in his life, and between various real life responsibilities, it was better to have someone new who could give the team 100% attention rather than him trying to linger on with the team and perhaps having divided attention as a result. In the same conversation, it was brought to our attention that the same is true of @fromtheinside, and so the whole Yukon staff would be vacating. 

As a result, we've chosen from one of our final selections from the Ottawa job (which was coincidentally less than a week ago so all this is still fresh) and the Yukon GM job will be going to a guy that is currently an AGM for a team in the bigs (shockingly not @Esso2264). This is a guy who's been a quick climber over his time here, and has been in the last few picks for about 2-3 prior VHLM GM spots.

We all know from the schedule that round robin games begin Sunday, July 18. Cool, cool, cool.
 
There’s the World Cup happening now, but us young’uns don’t follow that too closely. Some day we’ll grow up and be Cuppers, but until then, we have to find ways to entertain ourselves.
 
With that being said, I’m proud to introduce, PRE TOURNAMENT EXHIBITION PLAY.
 
That’s right folks. Games before the games. Want to test how your star-studded lineup performs? Experiment with some line combos? Develop an arch nemesis to attack and belittle all tournament? Here’s your chance!
 
We’ll have three days of games before the tournament starts on Sunday. The official schedule is:

Friday:

Every team will play each other once, and every team will have 1 or 2 games per day.

In the league 0, In real life 5 years of Management experience. im used to bossing people...I mean leading people 
 
2. What qualities do you have that make you a good fit for the role?
I am honest, doesn't matter if you are the GM or a player. you ask my opinion you get my honest thoughts. If I do not know how to do something ill ask and figure it out. ill be loyal 100%
 
3. What do you think is the most difficult part of being a VHL GM?
Trying to manage the players and win constantly? honestly let me ask you that. 

I know i am a long shot but i just joined and love this place and would love to give back any way I can.

The next season is going to be the most thrilled for young russian talent. After the trade between Marlins and Lynx, Trunov became captain of the new team and almost led them in the playoffs. Unfortunately, expectations about the postseason failed. Nevertheless, Bogdan ended his 2nd season in VHLM with outstanding statistics. He scored 41 goals with 39 assists. After celebration of Warsaw's success in the Continental Cup the best Predators prospect moved to the hometown to prepare for WJC as a roster player of TEAM ASIA.
 
Joining Warsaw Predators is actually a great opportunity to prove that Bogdan is VHL ready Center with ability to influence the game a lot. Former Ottawa Lynx boss Dakota Lamb was appointed as a new Predators GM after Muffbeav decided to end his great coach career with the first Continental Cup in the franchise history. The union between promising prospect and Lamb still continues. Dakota was the only person who saw potential in 3rd Center of San Diego Marlins, traded him and gave a "C". Trunov met the expectations. The last season went extremelly well: point per game, 2 hattrick, a four goal game. A lot of experts consider that it will be key factor of high ice time for a rookie and confidence from the new managment. Warsaw has recently resigned contracts with the first captain in franchise history and core players. So, looks like new GM is going to take another shot in the playoffs run. Nevertheless, Bogdan Trunov would be a good adition in the champion team. Toward to the end of the regular season he will improve some aspects of his game and will potentially become the "dark horse" of the contender throughout the postseason. Despite there are a lot of veterans in the team , Bogdan could potentially be a 2nd line guy and play as a center, as a winger as well. Unfortunately, team legends Lamb, Dear, Glass, Grachov and Hylands are getting older and older. It means that club will have to go in rebuild in a couple of seasons, take a year off creating new strong core around russian talent. However, bright future is expecting Trunov Bogdan and his new team.

As you are likely all aware by now with @Acydburn taking over the VHLE with Vic it has been decided that someone else will jump in as a member of the green team to replace him. Given that the founder’s cup final has finished (congrats Yukon!) it seems a great time to get things changed over in the VHLM leadership.
 
After an application process with many great candidates it has been decided that @McWolf will be taking over as the newest member of team green and will work alongside @diamond_ace  as the newest VHLM commish. The blue team wishes him all the best in his new endeavour and thanks Acyd for his service!

And yea, you're right. Bettman was, too. When a team is consistently good in a large market, regardless of where that market is, it will succeed. That's why I think the NHL will eventually expand to Mexico City, but also put a team in Quebec to justify all the backlash. Because hockey in Quebec is as vibrant as ever, and the demanding for a team will only get stronger

I found the league in a similar way to you, so I know the feeling. A quick summary of the VHL is a hockey simulator where you and all the other members create players and add 'TPE' to their player's attributes to make them better. Those players are entered into a simulation engine, and you get stats and standings and a cup winner. The ultimate goal for most is to become a GM, but it's a long journey, albeit an extraordinarily fun one. The community here is great, and I would recommend joining our discord, but again, there are members who thrive without discord. For me, I didn't have discord for the first few months of my time in the league, and I survived, but it is very helpful, so I got it.
