BOOM reacted to Baby Boomer in VSN Presents: S92 VHLE Season Preview
@Zetterberg
Welcome everyone,
To begin with, I would like to congratulate Sjin and the Cologne Express for their S91 Renaissance Cup. It was their third in a row and their fourth in the last five seasons. A lot happened during the last off-season, trades, FA signings and players getting called up in the VHL, so we can see teams having a better or worse season than expected.
#1 Bratislava Watchmen
Offense rank: 1st
Defense rank: 2nd
Goalie rank: 3rd
The Bratislava Watchmen only made the playoffs one season since S87 and after some difficulties last season, the team looks stronger than ever and ready to compete. With the help of veterans like Luke Glendenning @ColeMrtz, Mikko Borisyuk @Minebro, James MacAvoy @Enraged and Darko Alexander Malkovich @AColdCanadian, Bratislava is really well equipped to help the young rookies like Kimi Raikkonen @mattyIceman, Karol Lamb @dlamb, Vlad Von Carstein @Dom and Pipo Popa @npuBeT have a good season and lead the team to the promised land. The Watchmen are going to be a very scarry team at the end of the season when everybody will be ready for the playoffs.
#2 Cologne Express
Offense rank: 2nd
Defense rank: 1st
Goalie rank: 2nd
After winning their third Renaissance Cup in a row, the Cologne Express are not expected to look back. Indeed, the Express once again have a really good roster and are going to compete for one of the first spot of the standings in the regular season. Cologne can count on returning players such as Theo Allard @InstantRockstar, Anthony Simmons @Starchychaff, Jordan Bennett @Plate, Joseph Dubois @Dubois and Clark @cl4rk to show the way to the young rookies, like George Richmond @badcolethetitan, Adi Dassler @BOOM and Vanellope von Schweetz @Arce , that going to learn what it is like to play in a winning culture.
#3 Stockholm Vikings
Offense rank: 3rd
Defense rank: 6th
Goalie rank: 4th
When you look at Stockholm’s roster, you see two things. First, you see that the Vikings will not have any difficulties scoring goals with forwards like Riley Martin @Smarch, Alexandre Crosby @hockeyis66 and Isaac mcflopper @sportexperts show. Second, Guntis Gavilrovs @Girts and Giorgiy Costanzov @Mongoose87 will have to play on top of their head all season long if they don’t want to allow six goals per game. So, Stockholm’s offense can hope to reach the ones of the top teams, but if no change to the defense is made by the GM @Doomsday, I just don’t see how the Vikings can compete with teams like Bratislava and Cologne.
#4 Vasteras Iron Eagles
Offense rank: 6th
Defense rank: 3rd
Goalie rank: 1st
After winning two King’s Cup in a row, the Vasteras Iron Eagles lost a couple of really important pieces that got called up in the VHL. Therefore, Vasteras is not a top tier anymore, but I can still see them compete for a playoff spot if their goalie, Karl Herzlich @LastGoon007, and their top defenseman, Winston Dixon jr @Rjdixon01 and Hannibal Barca @DreMin15, can carry the team defensively. Even if the Iron Eagles offense is not the best in the league, players like Miroslav @Zyrok and Tom Dufour @Cookie can still have an impact and help the team offensively.
#5 Rome Gladiators
Offense rank: 4th
Defense rank: 4th
Goalie rank: 5th
The Rome Gladiators have not missed the playoffs since S87 and like the Vasteras Iron Eagles, lost a couple of players during the off-season. This means that Rome will not be at the top of the standings at the end of the season, but if they play very well, I can see them make the playoffs. Led by their Swedish captain, BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson @JardyB10, the offense of the Rome Gladiators can also count on Behrens Minion @UnknownMinion and LeBen Aky @Ben_Reformed to produce offensively and give the team a chance to win enough games to make the playoffs.
#6 Oslo Storm
Offense rank: 5th
Defense rank: 5th
Goalie rank: 6th
After being one of the best team in the league from S85 to S89, the Oslo Storm entered a rebuild in S90 and after two painful seasons, we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel in Oslo. Even if Oslo is currently ranked sixth in this ranking, the Storm is really not far away from the Rome Gladiators and even from the Vasteras Iron Eagles and the last playoffs spot. If they want to make the playoffs, they are players such as Logan Ninefingers @Scurvy, Jussi Jokinenegg @HearnNation67 and liam oinas @ojje that will have to step up and carry the team on their shoulders.
Thanks everyone for reading, I wish you all good luck in the regular season and see you in another VSN article.
P.S. feel free to write your own predictions in the comments if you disagree with me.

Review:
Not so much a comment on the graphic but I like the title of your graphic. The background is really neat. I’m digging the spill and its colors. The jersey color blends in well with the logo and the background. The logo itself is integrated nicely. I like the slight glow on the glove. The font is sweet and ties it together. The contrast and saturation of this graphic work together very well. A masterpiece - rating a 10/10

BOOM reacted to Berocka in Wild Draft Recap
A Quick Draft Recap
So I spent the last week messaging people who I thought would make potentially good fits for Saskatoon and making sure that people were happy playing with a rebuilding team. Also with going all in last season we weren’t really in a great position to have an incredibly exciting draft with the following picks being available to us. 10th, 30th, 40th & 50th overall.
So with my first pick at 10th overall I chose Forum Content, not only because I am a strong believer in Forum Content and also because @frescoelmo seems like a cool character to have on the roster, sure I know if we are rebuilding they might not get much of a chance this season but I would like to think that it could be some nice trade bait come trade deadline when the contenders are looking to bolster their rosters. Also, I really don’t think we will be the worst team in the league so tanking isn’t what I want to do.
After missing the 2nd round due to a trade made last season with the San Diego Marlins my next pick rolled around at number 30 at the end of the 3rd round. With this pick I grabbed Austin Goulet III, now @Tuchy responded to my draft message with a short and sweet response saying they had no problem coming over to the wildside. So, looking for a Goaler and one that might be able to help us in future seasons it seemed like a good pick to me. Plus, you never know that a portal only player might see this inspiring Media Spot and become a Forum Content king like my 1st pick. I always think that it is nice having a goalie on the roster, it means that you don’t need to try and draft/waiver sign or even trade for one in the future if you are trying to compete.
Next around was the end of the 4th round with pick number 40. With this pick I selected the returning VHLM Champion of the World Sylvia Davis @Possum Queen, it is nice to have a familiar face back in the locker room and defenders are always needed to make a championship side. Will be great to have Davis back winning games with the Wild again.
In Summary I believe that I have made a pretty decent core to build around both this season and next, I think this season there is potential for anybody to win as there is a lot of uncertainty around due to the ways of the youtube ad, we will probably get 50 odd new starters but it depends on how many stick around and what their earning rate is like. Hopefully we get multiple people who are max earners and we can really boost our Forum Content as the way I have heard things every media spot posted my first round pick will grow in size and become unstoppable by the end of the season.
Thank you all for reading let us all hope for another good season for the Wild.

BOOM got a reaction from Spartan in Moscow Menace Press Conference
1. If the top team is a Ferrari, what car would Moscow be?
A car? Please, Moscow's mode of transportation would be a 60 year old bicycle.
2. Making the playoffs would be a good step for the team, do you agree?
I'd be hesitant for success that early, as a poor performance might instill some doubt into the players.
3. Do you have any great ideas about recruitment?
No, not really. It's a niche market so we really do rely on word of mouth or some weirdo stumbling upon a reddit post etc.
4. Are you an anime fan? If so, what do you like?
Fuck no. Anime sucks. No offence if you enjoy it, but I just don't get it.
5. What is a "Menace" and why do we have a bearded king for a logo?
I have no idea, but the logo is cool regardless. I think the team was created in the "illiteration era".
6. On a scale from 1 to 10, how much does Spartan suck?
Negative 12. How dare you sully the name of our fearless leader!
7. What player on the team do you think will have a breakout season?
Any given player can bust out if given the right circumstances. Whoever performs the best, will enjoy the spoils.
