I nor anyone on the mod team moderated anyone. This punishment was handed out by he VHLM commish and mods were already arms length from the situation. I'm allowed to have my opinion on someone bringing a high risk individual back into the community illegally and I said so in a respectful manner and questioned the action. Exactly the same thing you are doing except I'm explaining to you how none of what I did is remotely moderating or related.

You know this isn't even the second chance? Howmany chances would you like? Do you know how recent his last infractions were elsewhere? SHL recently banned banned him in January. His twitter was filled with hate speech in December. Did you even do your due diligence when dealing with Achillies? There have been 4 (5th including this one) incidents regarding him, I'd show you what he DMed some of the staff in december, but I don't feel the need to rehash any or want to post those messages. He has not ever shown any remorse for his actions at all. If you notice this convertsation, you see that he "blames it on" external factors and doesn't even take into consideration his own actions.
 
Or its really simple, he was just conning you so that you would help him get back into these communities. How do you know anything he said you was even true?

What a whirlwind this deal ended up becoming. @Frank and I originally began discussions that seemed to show a lot of promise but cap seemed to be our biggest obstacle. After learning of some talks with @FrostBeard between the pair, we were all able to make it come full circle and really get things going. Thanks to you both for being so persistent and ensuring communication through the whole process, you really both made it super easy for all parties ❤️ 
 
@wcats I've known you a long time and genuinely had no intentions prior to this deal coming to fruition of moving you. You've been an absolute pleasure to have in LA, always just doing what is best for the team and for myself, so I thank you for the time you put in here, and wish you nothing but success in DC. 
 
@Baozi We have been in leagues together for as long as I can remember, and when the option presented itself to bring you into LA, I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Really, really happy to bring you aboard for our playoff journey this season. 
 
@Tomat0 The final piece to our forward core "puzzle" and a happy addition for LA. I was going into the season with uncertainty I'd be able to find my sixth and final forward, but this deal made it possible to have you complete our team. Very excited to have you!

If I hadn't replied and pointed out that Achillies had numerous violations in other communities multiple times and also harassed staff, would you know about it? Did you know yourself that he had recently had another incident? Where is the bullying in all this? Did you even read my statements? Remember when you said you were bullied a while back and you wished someone would stand up for you? I'm standing up for those I advocate for in the LGBTQ community. I asked questions so that I didn't have to assume anything. 

I just want to clarify since some individuals seem to be confused about it, but there was no "moderating" of AJ. I don't believe he violated anything in the COC so I did not ask my team to investigate anything other making sure the individual being brought back was once again removed from the community. So while I could've asked this all as a moderator, I feel this wasn't warranted. Mods removed the COC violator after confirming with multiple sources who the person was. At no point in time prior did I ask AJ any of this.

Hey everyone, for a while I've been noticing there is a rather regular occurrence of posts both featuring and or advertising the use of illicit substances - while understandably it's not the intention of the posters themselves to be advocating drug/alcohol use amongst all forum users I think it'd be pretty ignorant to act like this isn't something possibly happening especially considering there is all types of ages within the VHL. The VHL has taken many steps in recent years or even months to protect it's users and make it's users feel much more comfortable and safe, with countless rule changes surrounding potential harassment and making the forums safer for all groups of people and while this is amazing news it is unfortunate to see in getting this it has created this complacency surrounding other potential security risks to members. I don't think you could create a world where both drug and alcohol culture are non existent obviously but there's a fine line between glorifying and promoting the effects of illicit substances and trying to keep the younger members safe that may not be being met.

Well as indicated, I wanted to know what the thought process was and if you actually looked into what he said or you just took it at face value. As to why I asked in public and not DMs, is because it is a public matter and if the general public is going to be put in possible risk of having to deal with people like this, they deserve to know as well.

The ideal individual should posses the following traits:
 
1) Online availability throughout the day to be checking into the forums and discord and respond to staff pings promptly. (Please note in application your most active hours) and how often you are on forums/discord.
 
My availability is from 7am to 11 pm MST. I response fairly quickly to any pings throughout the day and my activity on both of the discord and forum are quite high.
 
2) Be able to respond to discord pings and be verified via 2fa.
 
Responding to pings is no issue. I am often very quick to respond throughout the hours posted above. Being verified is no issue.
 
3) Older than 20 years (or demonstration of maturity and judgement) 
 
I am 34 years old. For the most part I am mature and have good judgment but am by no means a perfect person.
 
4) Not hold other league jobs or associations (GMing) that may pose a conflict of interest (exceptions apply) 
 
I do hold a couple jobs in the league but would likely step back from one of them if given this opportunity. They wouldn’t affect my attentiveness to this job regardless.
 
Additional things you may add for consideration:
 
-Can be on as late as 2 am on weekends but that’s as late as I can be on. 
-I care about the well being of this league and the safety of the people in it. I do not have previous moderation experience but am eager to learn.
