I wonder what would have happened if I actually got to play some first line minutes.

Team World faced off against the last place Team Asia in the quarterfinals to determine who would move on to the semis. Team World would end up winning this matchup that looked more like a shootout 6-3. Let’s take a look at some key points that led to this huge victory for Team World.
 
Teagan Glover- This kid was on fire for Team World and earned himself the first star with 2 goals, 1 assist. Team World took a lot of penalties in this game but Glover continued to play disciplined hockey and stayed out of the box. Also he played strong on the penalty kill and didn’t give the power play opportunities to set up. 
 
Justin Cole- This young VHL goaltender battled hard all game and provided very few second chances. Cole stopped 29 of the 32 shots Team Asia threw his way. 
 
Shots- So we all know the famous Gretzky line “you miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take”. This was Team Worlds game plan to throw everything at the net and make it a long night for Asian goaltender Tyler Smith. Team World put a total of 49 shots on Smith and capitalized on 6 of those opportunities. The coaches have to be happy with how their game plan resulted in a victory! 
 
Team World has punched their ticket to the Semifinals and will face off against the red hot Canadians!

1. In terms of performance? Not so great. I wanted to help Saskatoon into a clear playoff spot, and we're not quite there. I've taken a few more penalties than I'd like and probably played a bigger role in losses, especially early in the season.
By enjoyment? It's a privilege to be here. @Peace took a chance on offering me a contract and we haven't really looked back since. This community has a lot of interesting characters - and, based on what I've been hearing, a lot of new faces - which I'm happy to be a part of.
 
2. Not in particular. I don't have a good feel on the 'pulse' of the majors yet. I will say, though - if you're a GM not willing to reach out assess my interest by the time the draft comes (still plenty of time), don't draft me. I'm not interested in being a team's consolation prize because of a number or strictly due to hype.
 
3. I stepped into the EFL about a week and a half ago. It's a little harder for me to maximize point-earning there since it seems a slightly higher proportion of the TPE you earn there is based on sims/luck than here (9 vs. 12/wk here), but I am a fan of their 'career PT' segments.
 
4. My manager wrote a bit on this a while back. Big, big fan of Clayton Park @leafssteen - seems more and more likely each week that he'll be drafted before Wendy. Since that'd make him the #2 goalie prospect, we could see him gone as early as the top of the second - or drafted by the Nighthawks in the first, depending on how Dispersal and Expansion picks go. My teammate Hans Gruber @TheFlash has also grown a lot since the start of the season, but I'm sure there's a little teammate bias in there too. There are a handful of others, but I don't think people would take too kindly to me re-writing my article in this space, hah.
 
5. For one single person that I can talk to for a minute or two? I'd ask them what 'feeling' they like about sports the most. Is it the media narrative surrounding major league drafts? A chance to grow from (essentially) nothing and become a star? Play in a best-of series for the title? A little locker room drama here and there? Participating in discussions that change the rules of the league they play in? A chance to go from player to manager, or maybe a chance to publish official/semi-official league graphics or articles? The VHL already has all of that and more, but not every member will be interested in all of it. Recruitment to the masses is about appealing to a broad audience with generic interests. Finding a single person is about determining what appeals to them specifically and having a conversation about it.
 
6. Caps. Lived in the DMV my entire life and, while it pains me to root for a DC team as opposed to a Maryland team, it's pretty hard (for me) to root against Ovechkin.

This draft class has a large amount of SHLers who have made the jump over to the VHL after the amazing portal update. In this VHL.com article we'll be looking at where they rank in the S66 Draft. I probably forgot some usernames I don't recognize.

Gorlab is clearly the best SHLer in this draft class. Sitting at 212 TPE he's 1st among SHLers and 6th overall.  Although he was BANNED from SHL, I'm still counting him as an ex-SHLer.
 
2. @bluesfan55 207 TPE
207 TPE, bloobs is looking like a stud in the VHL already. A very successful SHLer, I have no doubt he's going to create an amazing player here as well. Good luck with your player bloobs! 
 
3. @Dangles13 165 TPE
The Co-Commish of the SHL! Looks to be off to a solid start to his VHL career, already at 165 TPE. He ranks #3 on our list.
 
4. @SlashACM  152 TPE
Already wrote about Slash a lot in my MS this week, don't want to type the same thing over again. 
 
5. @xDParK 147 TPE
Same as above
 
6. @Kylrad 146 TPE

Really solid SHL member, seems like a nice guy from what I've seen. He'll be a great player if he puts in similar effort to the SHL.

Not bad, but he's down 4 spots in the rankings. Maybe falling off a bit? Bird is a sick dude but I'm not sure how committed he is here.
 
9. @Grape 87 TPE
Could be a 5th round + steal if he remains consistent with the easily earned TPE here. He's one of my fav GMs in the SHL.

I love tez but I think he stopped updating here

World ? 

Hey thanks man! I love the Yukon atmosphere!

1. In the latter half of the season now and, while Halifax and Minnesota are quite a few points ahead, there is just 4 points separating 3rd and 7th, which of those five teams (Aces, Bulls, Lynx, Rush, Wild) do you think will finish highest at the end of the season?
 
I think my answer is slightly biased but I think Yukon will as we have a incrediblely talented offence! My 2nd choice would be the Wild as they have stepped it up as of late. Also forward Hans Gruber @TheFlash has taken his offense to the next level and has been putting up lots of points for his team.
 
2. Since the last set of questions were asked, the World Juniors Rosters have been selected. What do you think about your nationalities chances at winning the tournament?
 
I will be playing for Team World and believe we have a great shot at winning this! I think Jack Lynch @xsjack is one of the best forwards in the tournament and will definitely help us offensively! Between the pipes we got Justin Cole @WhiteMocha from the pros and he is a very talented net minder. 
 
3a. (If you made your World Juniors roster) Who would you consider the best player on your team?
 
@xsjack jack lynch without a question! He has remarkable offensive talent and helps the team by scoring goals and setting them up! Great future ahead for this guy!
  
4. Hunter Hearst Helmsley is currently leading the league in points and goals, do you think there's anyone who can stop him from leading in either come the end of the season?
 
Helmsley @Beavissis incrediblely talented and is the full offence package! He reminds me of Sid The Kid so no they won’t catch him!
 
5. Give a shout-out to one member of your team who has helped you out and why (maybe a member's player has helped your player perform well in the sim, a member who helped you with PT's, etc.)
 
@Anthony Matthews not only does he have incredible talent and help us on the scoresheet he’s also a really chill guy in the locker room! Ps this guy definitely has a great career ahead of him.
 
6. Recommend either a video game or a movie for other members to play/watch and why you'd recommend it. 
 
Goon, watch it! One of the best hockey movies ever!!! Interesting fact parts of the movie were filmed in my hometown of Halifax !

Review: I loved how you wrote this to feel like a newspaper article! I feel it was a creative way to review the game and you nailed it! This game featured a good match up and ether team could have won it IMO. My favorite part of the article is
 
"When asked how the Bulls plan to use their strong following and momentum in the games to come, Garcia proclaimed, "Let's get that cup!"
 
Based on Houston's strong play thus far, this doesn't look like a far-off dream."
