  1. We're down a good guy, and I want killers off the streets. I don't believe that any role that has permanent access to the jailor discord has the ability to kill, so I'm actually looking away from that list. OMG, Doomsday, and Adrest were the people headed for jail, but they broke out immediately with Spartan's death. OMG was the jailor target, so the other two were from other things. I'm not sure if that more likely makes them baddies, because I'm not entirely familiar with all the ways to end up in jail, but until I figure out, I'll just pick someone else. That being said, I'm hungry for captives. My partner is dead and it will not be in vain. I'd like for the city to jail someone today. Who's with me? VOTE ZACK @Zack Got anything to say for yourself? You're being RANDOMLY ACCUSED
  2. Well I can't be jailed, but yeah the good could very well be in the minority so there's a decent chance we can't get a vote on anyone.
  3. I'll just jail you again and this time you won't be able to complain about not getting to play!
  4. I'm the other Blackgate Jailor. Here are the names of people in the jailor discord Ben Berocka Doomsday Goliathus Gustav omg scoop Spartan (RIP)
  5. Congrats @OrbitingDeath . Gotta say, I really wanted this one. For a while in the season, it was basically a runaway until down the stretch I got hot. I'd say I probably overtook you for a bit, until the last couple of sims when you really crushed it. So I'll take the next three, yeah?
  6. I did not anticipate Tui Sova signing with us. Quite frankly, I wasn't even really aware of who was out there as free agents. I did notice the other day that Sova was one, and I thought it would be cool to add my former teammate to the roster, but given that he is a defenseman and that's where our strength was as a team, I just didn't see it happening. And then it did. Not only did he sign, but he signed for three seasons. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit concerned when I was traded to the Dragons that the team would just not be good enough during the remainder of my career, but picking up Sova has alleviated those concerns quite a bit. As I mentioned earlier, our defensemen were pretty good. We had Corey Kitson and Ryan Vidot for at least two more seasons, and hopefully more than just one season of Poopy Peepants. As for our forwards, though, beyond myself, the future was Ronan Lavelle. Just the two of us wouldn't be enough. The Sova signing, however, allowed Ryan Vidot to move to center. This gives us another good forward who will be in his prime alongside Mourning. Signing Sova allowed us to improve our forward corps as well as our defensemen. Do I think we'll be winning a championship this season? No. I do think this solidifies us as the third best team in North America, which really doesn't mean much. Our second line of forwards is a weakness, but if we can maybe get one more upgrade there, we could be in a position to have an outside shot at upsetting some teams.
  7. 1. My initial reaction was "hey, this might keep me around in the league past this player." It's certainly leading to a variety in player builds, but really it's minor differences. The underlying problem may still be there, just due to the sim engine. I personally would like to feel like building a playmaker or a more physical is a viable path, but is that just always going to be sub-optimal? I would assume the best thing to do is still try to maximize scoring, defense, puck handling, and skating. Just, instead of 99/40 SC/PA, it's going to be something like 87/65 for every player, and then pump up PH/DF/SK in an efficient manner. 2. As of late, it's been watching Disney movies, particularly animated feature films. Starting from the beginning chronologically with Snow White a few weeks ago, I'm up through The Little Mermaid. A lot of them I had never actually seen, and several I'd maybe watched as a kid long ago. Up through this point, I'd say some of my favorites are Alice in Wonderland (hence the new avatar), Robin Hood, and The Aristocats. Alice in Wonderland and Robin Hood I didn't really watch growing up, but The Aristocats is one we had on VHS so I watched quite a bit growing up, so that one is definitely a bit of a nostalgia favorite. 3. Can I pick none? If not, then I'll say a streamer, because that's a job, but since I'm not getting paid anyway, I'll just never stream. Or like, board game player. That's not really a job, but if I'm not getting paid, I'll just do what I like to do on my own time and call it a "job" for the sake of this question. QUESTIONS 1. Do you think the league could benefit from extending player careers? 2. What were your career goals for your player when you created, and how are you progressing towards those goals? 3. Imagine a game in which Marie and Berlioz tie for first place. The next best score was Toulouse. Did Toulouse finish in second or third place? Explain.
  8. Eastern Europe shut out as Team Nordic advances to gold medal game For the second straight tournament, and the fourth time in the past seven, Team Nordic will be playing for a gold medal. Finishing the round robin as the second seed, Team Nordic game into this game as the favorites, and it showed early on. They owned the first period, out-shooting Eastern Europe 20-4 in the first 20 minutes. It was going to take another stellar performance from Sirkants Klamasteris, who had 55 saves in the quarter finals, for Eastern Europe to advance. Unfortunately for them, he couldn't keep them off the score sheet, as they scored thrice in the period. The first goal came at 6:20 on a power play, as Dan Dan took a pass from Linus Zetterstrom and put the puck past Klamasteris. Late in the period, Saku Kotkakoivu and Reylynn Reinhart would add goals to make it a 3-0 lead going into the second. After a scoreless second period, Eastern Europe actually came out firing in the third, but unfortunately for them, Papa Emeritus was a wall. He didn't have to work much early on, but when it came time for him to shine, he stopped all 21 shots in the final frame to complete the shutout. That Dude and Dan Dan scored goals for Team Nordic in the period to make the final score 5-0. Team Nordic's opponent for the gold medal will be Team USA, who pulled off the upset against Team World in the other semi final match. Eastern Europe and Team World will play for the bronze.
  9. My cold streak continues into the playoff rounds but that's fine if we keep winning.
  10. Coming off of a 59-goal season which had him tied for second in the league, Taylor Mourning was traded from the Malmo Nighthawks to the D.C. Dragons. While the Dragons do not look like a particularly great team, in the weak North American Conference they might just be the third best. The defense is definitely the strongest position group on the team, being comprised of the trio of Poopy Peepants, Corey Kitson, and Ryan Vidot. In net, they have the S82 2nd overall pick Bubbles Utonium making his debut in the VHL. Then there are the forwards. Mourning is definitely the best of the group, and that could have him primed for an even bigger season than the last. Joining him include two Dragons from last season, Miles Johnson and Guy Lambert. This pair did show some skill last season working together, with Johnson scoring 47 goals and Lambert notching 66 assists. These two players are getting up there in age, however. Mourning will likely get the most help from rookie Ronan Lavelle, last season's VHLE leader in points (101) and goals (49). Sophomore Brian Schmigel is the last of the group, but he's not expected to make much of an impact.
  11. And those four players combine for how many championships?
  12. @JardyB10 if you need something while you wait for someone more talented to make something
  13. That's what happens when you trade Taylor Mourning.
