@Members (sorry about the members tag for the vets and people who this doesn't apply to, but under the circumstances it's the only way to do this) Apparently there were a lot of people who were eligible to be drafted in the VHLM draft that just concluded, but were not drafted. So obviously if these people are active, they need teams, some of them are already in talks with teams, which is great. VHLM FA is not open yet but in the interest of making sure guys get teams: IF YOU WERE ELIGIBLE TO BE DRAFTED, WERE NOT DRAFTED, AND ARE ACTIVE ENOUGH TO SEE THIS POST: Reply to the post. Just make any reply here so we can see who all needs teams. This includes @Datools and anyone who created their player prior to him. If you created after him, you are waiver, you can still sign with a team but you come out of a different list and do not need to reply here.

I normally don't mind the members tag. However, in this particular case, I think it points out another need for two taggable groups: @graphics and @media. People could choose to be included or excluded from either group, but it would mean that people who write extremely well but have never had the slightest graphical ability don't get tagged in graphics stuff. Not a complaint as much as it's a possible improvement to the site.

I likely go earlier than this, not that I deserve to (this spot in the draft is about right in terms of where I should go). There's something to be said for the safe pick though, and you don't get much safer than a Mini Commie. So I can be pretty sure I'll end up drafted well before I should be, and then right after the draft, everyone will be writing "biggest bust" articles about me because of it.

So I'm admittedly a bit surprised that the VHLM playoffs have been as chalk as they have been so far. Usually you can bank on an upset or two in the first round at least, but every team that was favored in the first round won. Additionally, Philly is winning their second round series against Saskatoon (I'm on Saskatoon, would be nice to get a series win, but it always seemed like beating Philly was just one step too much for us) and they were the best regular season team, so no upset there. The only semi-upset is that it looks like Ottawa will be beating Halifax in the second round, and Halifax were technically the favorites although they only finished with one point higher than Ottawa. Pretty boring result to be honest, but at the same time, I don't so much mind it - it's always heartbreaking to be on a top team and gear up for a playoff run only to have that dashed at the last minute, so I'm excited in a way for the Philly players who kind of admittedly deserve this, and for the Ottawa and Halifax players with the excitement of what should have been a close series although it's not turned out that way - frustrating on my end though as a member of Saskatoon.
