1. Ledge and Hedge did fantastically.

2. I think we got some real quality in this draft. We're getting the depth we need to go on a run.

3. We simply have to make the playoffs. No ifs or buts.

1  really good, happy with the player we drafted.

2 Three good players that will for sure help us a  lot now and also in the future.

3 l am a lot confident, that playoff spot has been waiting us for a long time.

4 Not me for sure, maybe Damoose? I like that guy and I think that he is a great guy and also a great player.

5 I am training to score a little bit more, as I am not that great in the offense.

6 do you want to know a funny thing? I do not remember.

With covid and netflix it is hard to go to a cinema.

Great! I love the draft choice and I think Driver is going to be huge for us this season.

Jokinen was my preference at that spot - we needed defense after Jugs left for sure. Also excited for Donny Carter who I played with in Houston.

Very confident. I'm expecting a contending season for sure.

1. I, personally, thought we did fabulously.

2. The first two I am definitely hyped about

3. Based on our performance so far, el confidente fo sho. Our core is finally in their prime

Solid draft, sixth overall pick is a questionable one - can he even play? Other draftees look much better.

 

2. What do you think of the draftees, Erlantz Jokinen, Donny Carter, and Jeremy D?
First one is overrated. Carter and D have a lot of potential. I see them as important players for Riga in the future.

 

3. After the draft, how confident are you about making the playoffs with this team?
The team is ready to roll. Roster is full of talent and great players. Making the playoffs is a fact.

 

4. Who do you think will be the surprise MVP for the team this season?
Cabe McJake will push  Riga to championship and collect some individual awards during the process.

 

5. How are you training for the upcoming season?
Nothing too wild. Just hard work with plenty of rest included, so the risk of injuries stays as low as possible. I have mostly focused on endurance/stamina to make sure the start to the season is a good one.

 

6. What was the last movie you saw in a theater?
Finnish film called: ''Poika ja Ilves'' in 1999. I don't go to movie theaters that often.

I think we drafted well.  As usual it will take a little time to see if our selections pan out, but I remain hopeful.

I feel quite confident that we will make the playoffs this yea.  We have to score more goals....

Likely Driver.  One great goalie who could make a huge difference for us in the playoff picture.

I am on a strict diet of poutine and beer.

Solid defensive play and outstanding goaltending from driver.

3. We all know that Driver has been an absolute force between the pipes, but is there anyone else who sticks out with their performance?

I've seen Justin Lose tap in a few key goals so I would say him.

4. What is your favourite kind of sugary cereal?

I like a lot of them but I would say off the top of my head - Captain Crunch.

5. if you follow the NHL, what was the best free agent signing from the past few days?

Taylor Hall's contract with the Bruins is going to pan out well I think.

6. What is your favourite breed of dog? 

Husky for sure.

As expected. Riga is playing well and the results keep on coming. Interesting to see how the next 20 or so games will go!

 

2. What has been the key to our success? Is it depth or a locker room factor or what?
Quality players and depth. There is not just one or two solid players, Riga has nice amount of depth in the team, which causes trouble for other teams as they can't effectively keep all the lines in control. Eventually someone will get a chance.

 

3. We all know that Driver has been an absolute force between the pipes, but is there anyone else who sticks out with their performance?
Justin Lose is one. As I'm writing this, Lose has 11 goals in 16 games! That is a cool total. Especially, in a team that has the depth.

 

4. What is your favourite kind of sugary cereal?
I don't eat cereal. I remember eating Kellog's? years ago, but thats about it.

 

5. if you follow the NHL, what was the best free agent signing from the past few days?
Reaves to New York. Should be good times when Washington comes to visit.

As many of us have, we been through the STHS Wars and are approaching regression.  So.....IT'S ABOUT TIME !!  Go Reign !!

I definitely think that Driver makes a difference, but also there is a core group that have matured together and hung in there during the lean times.  Its now paying off.

I think this success is a team effort.  Take a look at the point production from our team.  It is really quite balanced.  That means we are all chipping in.

 

4. What is your favourite kind of sugary cereal?

 

Don't eat sugary cereals.  Never did.

 

5. if you follow the NHL, what was the best free agent signing from the past few days?

 

Grubauer signing with the Kraken.  Gives them solid goal tending.

1. Frankly, the Reign have never had an easy path since we arrived, have we? I think we'll get it done.

2. Malmo had oodles of puck luck last season, and although Odinsson is flashy we'll see who the best team is in the playoffs. 

3. I would argue not. Cabe has been phenomenal, but I think we have one of the deepest and most involved lineup in the league. Driver has also stood on his head nightly between the pipes.

4. The way he is hoovering up TPE, I'd have to imagine he'd be a dark horse at absolute worst. 

5. Idk man, I see a lot of 250s in Mississauga's roster 

6. However much I'd like to go to the Caribbean, it is my vacation dream to go to Sweden, perhaps even going there for university if my path leads there

Yea bit of a roller coaster, but I think Riga has played rather well even if the results have not always been there. Riga should make the playoffs easily and hopefully these tougher times give ideas for playoffs!

Riga. Obviously.

I think so. You want the top players to play well if you want to win as a team. You need depth of course, but it's great to see that the top players are having solid years.

 

4. Anze Miklavz is 4th in rookie scoring. Do you think they can sneak in and get the top rookie this season?

I don't see why not. Anze needs to keep working hard and the results will come. Riga is a good place to be as the team controls the puck more than the opposite team, usually at least.

 

5. Early season pick for the cup in the VHLM, who do you got?

There are quite a few solid looking teams, but Missisauga is perhaps the early favorite with 27 wins from 34 games, that is pretty hot.

 

6. What is your ideal summer vacation?

Beach and sunny weather. Good food, nice bed. Good times
