bigAL 2,176
1. Who is throwing the first cookout post playoffs? Â Â Â I'll host, if you bring the Continental Cup. Â 2. Do you see us having a late push? Â Â Â We're always mediocre, which means that this big slump will turn into a huge push soon! Â 3. Who has impressed you the most, as a teammate, this season? Â Â Â That B-DCD G takes so much shit, gets beat up in games regularly, doesn't care that his team doesn't backcheck when he's in net, but he keeps on keepin' on. Respect. Â 4. What is your favourite dessert? Â Â Â I am an ice cream FIEND. Gimme some pralines 'n' cream any day and I'm a happy camper. Â 5. Do you have any suggestions for the DC management group? Â Â Â Give that Fonzi Good Guy a raise. Â 6. How are you, physically and mentally, coping with the pandemic? Â Â Â I'm only answering this question so I don't get fined. Midnite 69
1. Who is throwing the first cookout post playoffs? Coach. I mean we've worked hard all season. He has to give back to us somehow 2. Do you see us having a late push? Absolutely. We started off hot. We might as well end off hot too. 3. Who has impressed you the most, as a teammate, this season? Xavier leFlamant. Came into this season with something to prove and did he ever. 4. What is your favourite dessert? I'm a slut for cheesecake 5. Do you have any suggestions for the DC management group? Not really. As long as we're winning games i'm happy. 6. How are you, physically and mentally, coping with the pandemic? How are you, physically and mentally, coping with the pandemic? 1. Gotta be the coach! It's been a fun season here so far. No matter how far we go, I think we deserve from praise! 2. I believe so. We had a pretty good battle at the end of the season, for sure. 3. Xavier has been excellent. I think he has a very bright future. 4. Some kind of Dairy Queen ice cream. Peanut buster parfait? 5. Keep giving us a chance to win. They've done great with that so far. 6. I'm doing better mentally than physically. I've gained a little weight through laziness. Haven't really geared up back into the gym since they all reopened. bigAL 2,176
PLAYOFF HYPE EDITION! 1. How did you feel about how you as a player performed this season? I'm thrilled with the hot streaks we had. Dood-Laflamme-Ricky were a force at times, and we'll look for more production and consistency next season. 2. What are your playoff expectations? Sweep the Wranglers, bring the #1 seed to a Game 7, and hope like hell Wolski steals us a game. 3. Do you think the team performed up to expectations we had in the preseason? I think we were afraid of underperforming at the start of the season. Our hot streaks and our playoff berth hit our expectations, and our 1-1 sim streaks prevented us from getting that "underperforming" label. Overall, good season, but the playoffs will define S74 for us. 4. Any lucky superstitions we should take part in before this run? Rabies before each game. 5. Can you grow a playoff beard? Will you? I've had a beard permanently since like 14, so maybe I should do a playoff clean-shave and let the 'depressed dad' grow in when we lose. 6. Anything good on TV these days? Hockey being over has left a void in my routine. I've watched literally one episode of The Boys on Amazon and loved the scathing political commentary on celebrity and corporate culture and power. STZ 5,360
PLAYOFF HYPE EDITION! 1. How did you feel about how you as a player performed this season? Good. Graves was a top player, and we got into the playoffs. We were deeper in the roster so Graves didn't have a standout season, but overall I'm very happy/  2. What are your playoff expectations? I really feel like a championship is in reach. I feel confident in our group.  3. Do you think the team performed up to expectations we had in the preseason? I really thought we would be dominant all season, but we slipped near the end of the year. Consistency has always been a tough point for our team, but we got off to a solid start and we were more consistent overall.  4. Any lucky superstitions we should take part in before this run? No Shave for playoffs/  5. Can you grow a playoff beard? Will you? Yes and Yes  6. Anything good on TV these days? Hockey being over has left a void in my routine. NFL. Really good! Loved hitting 40+ goals milestone with Graves and notching the highest Shot % on the team. 2. I can think of nothing but the Cup. 3. Yes, I think so. We might have hoped for more wins, but our main expectation was the playoffs and here we are. 4. Always put your left skate on first. At least, I do. 5. Sure and absolutely. It's an obligation for every Dragon no matter how bad it might look though. 6 I never watch TV live. There are some TV shows I watch via Netflix, but mostly movies. This is obviously a little late for playoffs, but whatever. 1. I think I could have done a lot better. Halfway through the season I was looking like I could be up for some individual awards, but my performance fell off a bit. 2. Win a round or two. Hoping for a cup. That didn't happen though. I always expect to go out there and try to win it all. 3. I think so. Nobody expected us to blow teams out of the water, but we played well. 4. Wolski likes to stack stone bricks before each game, to practice being a stone wall. 5. Yes I absolutely can and will. 6. I did watch Haunting of Bly Manor on Netflix the other week. It was pretty good, but I liked Haunting of Hill House more. Midnite 69
1. How did you feel about how you as a player performed this season? Great honestly. Definitely surpassed my own expectations. 2. What are your playoff expectations? Was hoping to win it all. Too bad we came up short 3. Do you think the team performed up to expectations we had in the preseason? Yea I would say so. I feel as though we could've played better but we definitely lived up to our expectations. 4. Any lucky superstitions we should take part in before this run? Normally I carry around my game winning pucks to games for luck. Would be doing the same for the playoffs. 5. Can you grow a playoff beard? Will you? Yes and absolutely! 6. KC15 340
Post Playoff Questions: 1. How do you feel after being eliminated from playoffs? Huh? Great, super, more free time? Absolutely awful, is the answer. 2. What is the biggest thing we need to change going into next season? What I hate, but know is true is that I need to not disappear from the goal scoring sheet when playoff time comes. It's great to have others step up and we need that, but Benny and I scored 40+ goals each in the regular season. We need to do that and I failed. 3. What team do you think will win the championship now that DC is eliminated? Couldn't care less. It's DC or some other team and I don't care about some other team. 4. What was your favorite part of the playoff run? Making it into the playoffs. 5. With DCs first wave of players aging and starting to retire in the next couple of seasons, are these next two seasons important to win or are you looking towards the second wave of players? As one of those players on the edge of retirement, of course I think it's important to win. When is it not important to win? 6. What are your offseason plans? First, beat myself up for disappearing from the playoff scoring sheet - at least in terms of goals. Second, work on my stick work and shot accuracy. Third, relax - a little. I think a more balanced offense would be a great benefit as well as less goals let in, which obviously can go by either the defense or goaltender being at fault. I will try to get better as much as I can. 3. Vancouver because they did. 4. I liked the times where we won games. 5. I just want to win. That's the main goal. DC needs a cup or two. 6. bigAL 2,176
1. What is your favorite sports besides hockey? It's a lot of work to follow sports, so I do hyper specialize in hockey. I like baseball too, but again, the MLB is huge. I mostly just follow the Blue Jays and the AL East. Â 2. What is your favorite place to vacation? I'm all about taking a left turn when everyone else turns right and exploring off the beaten path. Hiking the Bruce Trail in Bruce Peninsula National Park is a yearly favourite, but the coolest vacay I've taken has to be to the tiny Caribbean island of San Andres, Colombia. Â 3. What is your favorite TV Show? It's gotta be Letterkenny. I know, I'm a walking stereotype, but that show hits scarily close to home. Â 4. What is your favorite movie? The glory age of SNL spawned so many unreal films. Wayne's World, Tommy Boy, the Sandler collection. Love em all. Â 5. What teammate or player in the league will you see in the offseason the most? Me and X gotta keep building that chemistry in the offseason. In a season or two, we'll be Sedin-like, just totally on the same wavelength, finishing each other's... Â 6. What part of next season are you looking forward to the most? Winning the cup. Definitely the best part of S75. KC15 340
OffSeason OffTopic 1. What is your favorite sports besides hockey? Baseball, hands down. Actually is my all-time favorite. 2. What is your favorite place to vacation? Tough one. I love to travel and see new places so don't often go back to the same place very often. But I'll say Wales. 3. What is your favorite TV Show? Have not watched a TV show live (not on Netflix) forever. Parks and Rec? 4. What is your favorite movie?Notting Hill 5. What teammate or player in the league will you see in the offseason the most? I always go back to France in the off-season to see family so I rarely see other players. 6. What part of next season are you looking forward to the most? Winning the championship for the DC fans and for the whole organization. CowboyinAmerica 2,891
1. What is your favorite sports besides hockey? Always been a basketball guy. It's what I played through high school, and NBA's one of the few sports I generally watch other than my team. Â 2. What is your favorite place to vacation? I love the beach. The Caribbean is spectacular, but even the Jersey/Delaware shore makes me happy. Â 3. What is your favorite TV Show? I like reality shows, but competition reality. So stuff like Survivor, Big Brother is right up my alley. Â 4. What is your favorite movie? Always enjoy comedy, particularly when it gets a bit dark. Cohen brothers movies like Fargo in particular. Â 5. What teammate or player in the league will you see in the offseason the most? Especially after a year away, I'll probably visit some of my old NY teammates. Say hi to Nolan, see what Red Guy's doing in retirement. Â 6. What part of next season are you looking forward to the most? Well, winning a title, of course! I can feel it's coming. What is your favorite movie? I can never find an answer for this as I don't have an all-time favorite movie. Tbh I rarely watch much tv or movies in general 5. What teammate or player in the league will you see in the offseason the most? I'm going to try and see all of them equally. If not, then none of them. 6. What part of next season are you looking forward to the most? 1. That's probably a tough one. I would say that 90% of my sports watching goes to hockey. I love hockey. But, I do watch basketball and football from time to time, but usually just NBA or NFL playoffs. Soccer, I always tune into the World Cup or Euro Cup. Sometimes I'll watch some Vancouver Whitecaps in soccer as well. 2. I once went to Cancun, Mexico for Spring Break. That was a blast. Honestly, though, I'm a lake kind of guy. We have a lot of camping options here in BC, Canada. 3. The one I watch the most would be The Office. I've seen that and Community multiple times over. My favourite season of television is likely True Detective Season 1 though. 4. Interstellar, I think? It's really hard for me to pick favourites with TV and movies because there's so much recency bias. 5. Whoever is staying in DC to train in the off-season like me. I want to come back strong and win next season. 6. Winning the cup. CowboyinAmerica 2,891
1. What are you doing in your offseason? Hanging out, mentally preparing for the season. Some physical training for sure, but at this point in my career, it's more about getting myself amped. Â 2. What are you expecting for your point totals this year? With the switch to forward, I really don't have a baseline. Maybe a point per game? But I hope it's more. Â 3. Do you have any other goals for this upcoming season? It's all about the title, to be honest. It'd be cool to be in the Two-Way Forward race or something, but ultimately I want to win. Â 4. How do you think we did at the draft? I think we did great, to be honest. Any time you can pick up a future first and still pick up a starter for this year? That's a plus. Â 5. Who is your sleeper pick for this coming season? Is it bad to say us, the Dragons? I don't think many people see this team as a championship contender, but I certainly do. Â 6. How are you doing through this pandemic? I'm getting by. It's not easy, particularly with a partner who works in healthcare. But as long as people wear masks and listen to the scientists who know what they're talking about, we'll pull through. Win in the damn playoffs and take some hardware home for the fans of D.C. 4. How do you think we did at the draft? Not sure. Did not really follow the draft. 5. Who is your sleeper pick for this coming season? Not sure it's a sleeper at this point. But Wolski as top 3 goalie. 6. How are you doing through this pandemic?
